A former New Ager who became a born again believer in Jesus is explaining the link between the use of psychoactive substances and the occult.
In a video released on his YouTube channel Sunday, Steven Bancarz, who shared his remarkable testimony with The Christian Post last year, unpacked the spiritual darkness tied to the use of psychedelic drugs.
“Psychedelic drugs are a class of substances that interact with the seratonin receptors in the brain, causing an alternation in perception and sometimes resulting in visionary or hallucinatory experiences,” he explained, the most common of which are LSD, DMT, mescaline, and Psilocybin mushrooms.
These substances have been used for thousands of years among practitioners of pagan religions of all kinds, Bancarz noted. He made the video in response to the many questions he received about this after dispensing his New Age beliefs, and said he has some personal experience with mushrooms.
The use of psychedelics has profound spiritual implications, he stated. And although the phrase “psychedelic drugs” never appears in text, Scripture forbids it. And these same biblical prohibitions apply to other drugs like marijuana, meth, and cocaine, he said.
The use of psychedelics thwart the meaning of life, Bancarz said, which for the Christian is “fellowship with God through Jesus.” Whatever the appeal of using these drugs like “expanded perspectives,” “contact with the spirit world,” or fulfilling human curiosity, “the end of human life is to be restored to relationship with the Father, through faith in Jesus.”
“Biblically speaking, the shifting of our consciousness with drugs is not something God calls us to do. It does not bring us closer to Him,” Bancarz said.
He noted that several passages of the New Testament forbid drug use, which is contained in their condemnation of “sorcery,” such as in Galatians 5:19-21 where it is listed alongside sexual immorality, jealousy, and fits of anger — sins the apostle Paul calls “works of the flesh” that inhibit people from inheriting the Kingdom of God.
“The Greek word used here is pharmakeia,” Bancarz said, “which is where we derive the word pharmacy from.”
While “sorcery” refers to magic in its witchcraft sense, it also includes magic with drugs, like substances and medicines used for spiritual, recreational, religious ceremonial, and other non-medicinal purposes. The Book of Enoch, while not a canonical book of the Bible and should not be considered God-breathed like the rest of Scripture even though part of it is quoted in Jude 14-15, affirms this definition, Bancarz added.
The Book of Enoch also describes how fallen angels taught humans how to utilize plants and cut roots to tap into their psychedelic compounds and to elicit metaphysical experiences and cast spells.
“If transpersonal mystical experiences coming alongside the use of drugs cannot be called pharmakeia, I don’t know what can. This is literally what the word means.”
Elsewhere in Scripture, such as in 1 Corinthians 6:9, “drunkenness” is condemned, and Bancarz maintained that drug use falls under this category. The word used in that passage is “methe,” which primarily refers to intoxication through alcohol but includes any kind of intoxicant. Whatever the substance, anything that impairs someone’s physical and mental faculties is grievous to God.
Moreover, Scripture also exhorts Christians to be sober, he continued.
1 Thessalonians 5:6, 2 Timothy 4:5, and 1 Peter 1:13, and several other instances all emphasize the importance on being sober-minded, being temperate in our thinking.
“And we can’t be sober in our minds and in our thinking if we are intoxicated under chemically induced states of consciousness,” Bancarz said.
The use of psychedelics is also a pagan practice, and to employ them is to disobey God’s call to be separate and distinct from the world, a holy nation, a pure people for himself, he stressed.
“[God] wants us to look different, think different, and act different,” Bancarz explained, “and historically speaking, the only cultures that used these [psychoactive] substances were pagan.”
In light of all this evidence, “we need to turn away from our sin, put away the use of these substances, put our faith in Jesus for our salvation, and follow the straight and narrow path that leads to everlasting life,” he concluded.
Bancarz’s website, Reasons for Jesus, is an apologetics resource hub that helps Christians understand the deception of occultic spirituality and the demonic realm. (Click to Site)
Russia has said its troops are prepared to fire on US positions in Syria if they come under attack by American-backed soldiers ‘again’.
The Kremlin accused US forces of ‘twice’ firing on positions being occupied by the army of Bashar al-Assad, which is fighting alongside Russian special forces to recapture the city of Deir Ezzor from ISIS.
Moscow said the Syrian Democratic Forces, which are being supported by US troops on the ground, opened fire with artillery and mortars, though did not say when.
If this happens again, ‘those areas will be immediately suppressed with all military means’, Russian commander Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.
He added: ‘A representative of the U.S. military command was told in no uncertain terms that any attempts to open fire from areas where SDF fighters are located would be quickly shut down.’
Russia said SDF forces, which are mostly comprised of Kurdish People’s Liberation Army battalions, had split away from fighting around ISIS’s de-facto capital in Raqqa to join the battle in Deir Ezzor.
The Syrian Arab Army, controlled by Assad, is currently fighting along the western shore of the Euphrates river and has pushed into the main city.
Meanwhile the SDF has taken up positions on the opposite bank and are fighting towards the outlying town of Hussainiyah.
Tensions in the region have been rising as the two armies push toward each-other, bringing two world superpowers ever closer to direct conflict.
Both President Trump and President Putin have insisted that their only goal in Syria is to eliminate ISIS, but that has not stopped the pair butting heads.
The most serious incident took place earlier this year when Trump launched 60 cruise missiles at Shayrat Airbase, which is controlled by Assad and had Russian troops stationed there at the time.
The move was retaliation for a gas attack on the town of Khan Sheikhoun which the UN has said was perpetrated by the Assad regime.
Earlier this week the Russian Defence Ministry accused U.S. spies of initiating a jihadi offensive against government-held parts of north-west Syria.
The ministry said 29 Russian military policemen had been surrounded by jihadis as a result and that Russia had been forced to break them out.
‘According to our information, U.S. intelligence services initiated the offensive to halt the successful advance of government troops to the east of Deir Ezzor,’ said Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoi.
The Syrian army, backed by Russian war planes, has captured about 100 km (160 miles) of the west bank of the Euphrates this month, reaching the Raqqa provincial border on Wednesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
Syrian troops also crossed to the eastern side of the river on Monday where the SDF has been advancing.
The convergence of the rival offensives has increased tensions in Deir al-Zor.
The U.S.-backed militia said on Saturday they had come under attack from Russian jets and Syrian government forces, something Moscow denied.
On Monday, the SDF warned against any further Syrian army advances on the eastern riverbank, and Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Tuesday that the waters of the Euphrates had risen as soon as the Syrian army began crossing it, suggesting this could only have happened if upstream dams held by the U.S.-backed opposition had been opened. It’s two years after an EMP attack and you have safely tucked away in your retreat somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Your storage foods have mostly been used and your high-tech electronics is useless. The really bad stuff is mostly past. Now it’s trying to stay fed and alive and pray that civilization as you know it is coming back. You’re going to have to work your environment to live. Ever wonder what life might be like? What would it really be like to have no running water, electricity, sewer, newspaper or Internet? No supermarket or fire department close at hand?
I have a good imagination but I decided to talk to someone who would know first hand what it was like: my mother. She grew up on a homestead in the middle of Montana during the 1920s and 1930s. It was a two-room Cottonwood cabin with the nearest neighbor three miles away. She was oldest at 9, so she was in charge of her brother and sister. This was her reality; I feel there are lessons here for the rest of us.
There was a Majestic stove that used wood and coal. The first person up at four thirty A.M., usually her father, would start the fire for breakfast. It was a comforting start to the day but your feet would get cold when you got out of bed.
A crosscut saw and axe were used to cut wood for the stove and after that experience, you got pretty stingy with the firewood because you know what it takes to replace it. The old-timers say that it warms you when you cut it when you split it, and again when you burn it. The homes that were typical on homesteads and ranches of the era were smaller with lower ceilings than modern houses just so they could be heated easier. The saw and axe were not tools to try hurrying with. You set a steady pace and maintained it. A man in a hurry with an axe may lose some toes or worse. One side effect of the saw and axe use is that you are continuously hungry and will consume a huge amount of food.
Lights in the cabin were old-fashioned kerosene lamps. It was the kid’s job to trim the wicks, clean the chimneys and refill the reservoirs.
The privy was downhill from the house next to the corral and there was no toilet paper. Old newspaper, catalogs or magazines were used and in the summer a pan of barely warm water was there for hygiene. During a dark night, blizzard, or brownout from a dust storm, you followed the corral poles-no flashlights.
There were two springs close to the house that ran clear, clean, and cold water. The one right next to it was a “soft” water spring. It was great for washing clothes and felt smooth, almost slick, on your skin. If you drank from it, it would clean you out just as effectively as it cleaned clothes. Not all clean water is equal.
The second spring was a half mile from the cabin and it was cold, clear, and tasted wonderful. The spring itself was deep – an eight-foot corral pole never hit bottom- and flowed through the year. It was from here that the kids would fill two barrels on a heavy duty sled with water for the house and the animals. They would lead the old white horse that was hitched to the sledge back to the buildings and distribute the water for people and animals. In the summer, they made two trips in the morning and maybe a third in the evening. In the winter, one trip in the morning and one in the evening. They did this alone.
Breakfast was a big meal because they’re going to be working hard. Usually, there would be homemade sausage, eggs, and either cornmeal mush or oatmeal. More food was prepared than what was going to be eaten right then. The extra food was left on the table under a dish towel and eaten as wanted during the day. When evening meal was cooked, any leftovers were reheated. The oatmeal or the mush was sliced and fried for supper. It was served with butter, syrup, honey or molasses.
Preparedness Hacks: Don’t buy solar panels before seeing THIS
The ’20k solar panel system’ is coming to an end. Wall street confirms all shareholders are selling hard after this weird cheap solution popped on the radar. And they have every reason to…
Over 18,000 Patriots are using the system in their homes… (and that’s just in the last three months). They get unlimited energy for less than 80 cents a day…
Without paying one nickel more to their electricity provider! If you’re skeptical…Just watch this short video… and you’ll be able to cut your power bills to almost ZERO in just 45 minutes!
The homemade sausage was from a quarter or half a hog. The grinder was a small kitchen grinder that clamped on the edge of a table and everybody took turns cranking. When all the hog had been ground, the sausage mix was added and kneaded in by hand. Then it was immediately fried into patties. The patties were placed, layer by layer, into a stone crock and covered with the rendered sausage grease. The patties were reheated as needed. The grease was used for gravies as well as re-cooking the patties. Occasionally a fresh slice of bread would be slathered with a layer of sausage grease and a large slice of fresh onion would top it off for a quick sandwich. Nothing was wasted.
Some of their protein came from dried fish or beef. Usually, this had to be soaked to remove the excess salt or lye. Then it was boiled. Leftovers would go into hash, fish patties, or potato cakes.
Beans? There was almost always a pot of beans on the stove in the winter time.
Chickens and a couple of milk cows provided needed food to balance the larder. They could not have supported a growing family without these two resources.
The kitchen garden ran mostly to root crops. Onion, turnip, rutabaga, potato, and radishes grew under chicken wire. Rhubarb was canned for use as a winter tonic to stave off scurvy. Lettuce, corn, and other above ground crops suffered from deer, rats, and gumbo clay soil. Surprisingly, cabbage did well. The winter squash didn’t do much, only 2 or 3 gourds. Grasshoppers were controlled by the chickens and turkeys. There was endless hoeing.
Washing clothes required heating water on the stove, pouring it into three galvanized wash tubs-one for the homemade lye soap and scrub board, the other two for rinsing. Clothes were rinsed and wrung out by hand, then hung on a wire to dry in the air. Your hands became red and raw, your arms and shoulders sore beyond belief by the end of the wash. Wet clothing, especially wool, is heavy and the gray scum from the soap was hard to get out of the clothes.
Personal baths were in a galvanized wash tub screened by a sheet. In the winter it was difficult to haul, heat and handle the water so baths weren’t done often. Most people would do sponge baths.
Everybody worked including the kids. There were always more chores to be done that time in the day. It wasn’t just this one family; it was the neighbors as well. You were judged first and foremost by your work ethic and then your honesty. This was critical because if you were found wanting in either department, the extra jobs that might pay cash money, a quarter of beef, hog or mutton would not be available. Further, the cooperation with your neighbors was the only assurance that if you needed help, you would get help. Nobody in the community could get by strictly on their own. A few tried. When they left, nobody missed them.
You didn’t have to like someone to cooperate and work with him or her.
Several times a year people would get together for organized activities: barn raising, butcher bee, harvest, roofing, dance, or picnics. There were lots of picnics, usually in a creek bottom with cottonwoods for shade or sometimes at the church. Always, the women would have tables groaning with food, full coffee pots and, if they were lucky, maybe some lemonade. (Lemons were expensive and scarce) After the work (even for picnics, there was usually a project to be done first) came the socializing. Many times people would bring bedding and sleep out overnight, returning home the next day.
A half dozen families would get together for a butcher bee in the cold days of late fall. Cows were slaughtered first, then pigs, mutton, and finally chickens. Blood from some of the animals was collected in milk pails, kept warm on a stove to halt coagulation and salt added. Then it was canned for later use in blood dumplings, sausage or pudding. The hides were salted for later tanning; the feathers from the fowl were held for cleaning and used in pillows or mattresses. The skinned quarters of the animals would be dipped into cold salt brine and hung to finish cooling out so they could be taken home safely for processing. Nothing went to waste.
The most feared occurrence in the area was fire. If it got started, it wasn’t going out until it burned itself out. People could and did lose everything.
The most used weapon was the .22 single shot Winchester with .22 shorts. It was used to take the heads off pheasant, quail, rabbit, and ducks. If you held low, the low-powered round didn’t tear up the meat. The shooters, usually the kids, quickly learned sight picture and trigger control although they never heard those terms. If you took five rounds of ammunition, you better bring back the ammunition or a critter for the pot for each round expended. It was also a lot quieter and less expensive [in those days] than the .22 Long Rifle cartridges.
If you are trying to maintain a low profile, the odor of freshly baked bread can be detected in excess of three miles on a calm day. Especially by kids.
Twice a year the cabin was emptied of everything. The walls, floors, and ceilings were scrubbed with lye soap and a bristle brush. All the belongings were also cleaned before they came back into the house. This was pest control and it was needed until DDT (Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane. A potent pesticide that is now banned in many countries) became available. Bedbugs, lice, ticks and other creepy crawlies were a fact of life and were controlled by brute force. Failure to do so left you in misery and maybe ill.
Foods were stored in bug-proof containers. The most popular were fifteen-pound metal coffee cans with tight lids. These were for day to day use in the kitchen. (I still have one. It’s a family heirloom.) The next were barrels to hold the bulk foods like flour, sugar, cornmeal, and rice. Everything was sealed or the vermin would get to it. There was always at least one, preferably two, months of food on hand. If the fall cash allowed, they would stock up for the entire winter before the first snowfall.
The closest thing to a cooler was a metal box on the kitchen floor. It had a very tight lid and was used to store milk, eggs, and butter for a day or two. Butter was heavily salted on the outside to keep it from going rancid or melting. Buttermilk, cottage cheese, and regular cheese were made from raw milk after collecting for a day or two. The box was relatively cool in the summer and did not freeze in the winter.
Mice and rats love humanity because we keep our environment warm and tend to be sloppy with the food they like. Snakes love rats and mice so they were always around. If the kids were going to play outside, they would police the area with a hoe and a shovel. After killing and disposing of the rattlesnakes- there was always at least one-then they could play for a while in reasonable safety.
The mice and rats were controlled by traps, rocks from slingshots, cats, and coyotes. The cats had a hard and usually short life because of the coyotes. The Coyotes were barely controlled and seemed to be able to smell firearms at a distance. There were people who hunted the never-ending numbers for the bounty.
After chores were done, kid’s active imagination was used in their play. They didn’t have a lot of toys. There were a couple of dolls for the girls, a pocket knife and some marbles for the boy, and a whole lot of empty to fill. Their father’s beef calves were pretty gentle by the time they were sold at market – the kids rode them regularly. (Not a much fat on those calves but a lot of muscle.) They would look for arrowheads, lizards, and wildflowers. Chokecherry, buffalo berry, gooseberry, and currants were picked for jelly and syrups. Sometimes the kids made chokecherry wine.
On a hot summer day in the afternoon, the shade on the east side of the house was treasured and the east wind, if it came, even more so.
Adults hated hailstorms because of the destruction, kids loved them because they could collect the hail and make ice cream.
Childbirth was usually handled at a neighbor’s house with a midwife if you were lucky. If you got sick you were treated with ginger tea, honey, chicken soup or sulfur and molasses. Castor oil was used regularly as well. Wounds were cleaned with soap and disinfected with whiskey. Mustard based poultices were often used for a variety of ills. Turpentine, mustard, and lard were one that was applied to the chest for pneumonia or a hacking cough.
Contact with the outside world was an occasional trip to town for supplies using a wagon and team. A battery operated radio was used very sparingly in the evenings. A rechargeable car battery was used for power. The school was a six-mile walk one way and you brought your own lunch. One school teacher regularly put potatoes on the stove to bake and shared them with the kids. She was very well thought of by the kids and the parents.
These people were used to a limited amount of social interaction. They were used to no television, radio, or outside entertainment. They were used to having only three or four books. A fiddler or guitar player for a picnic or a dance was a wonderful thing to be enjoyed. The church was a social occasion as well as religious.
The church ladies and their butter and egg money allowed most rural churches to be built and to prosper. The men were required to do the heavy work but the ladies made it come together. The civilizing of the west sprang from these roots. Some of those ladies had spines of steel. They needed it.
That’s a partial story of the homestead years. People were very independent, stubborn and strong but still needed the community and access to the technology of the outside world for salt, sugar, flour, spices, chicken feed, cloth, kerosene for the lights and of course, coffee. There are many more things I could list. Could they have found an alternative if something was unavailable? Maybe. How would you get salt or nitrates in Montana without importing? Does anyone know how to make kerosene? Coffee would be valued like gold. Roasted grain or chicory just didn’t cut it.
I don’t want to discourage people trying to prepare but rather to point out that generalized and practical knowledge along with a cooperative community is still needed for long-term survival. Whatever shortcomings you may have, if you are part of a community, it is much more likely to be covered. The described community in this article was at least twenty to thirty miles across and included many farms and ranches as well as the town. Who your neighbors are, what type of people they are, and your relationship to them is one of the more important things to consider.
Were there fights, disagreements, and other unpleasantness? Absolutely. Some of it was handled by neighbors, a minister or the sheriff. Some bad feelings lasted a lifetime. There were some people that were really bad by any standard and they were either the sheriff’s problem or they got sorted out by one of their prospective victims.
These homesteaders had a rough life but they felt they had a great life and their way of life was shared by everyone they knew. They never went hungry, had great daylong picnics with the neighbors, and knew everyone personally within twenty miles. Every bit of pleasure or joy was treasured like a jewel since it was usually found in a sea of hard work. They worked hard, played hard and loved well. In our cushy life, we have much more “things” and “conveniences” than they ever did, but we lack the connection they had with their environment and community.
The biggest concern for our future: What happens if an event such as a solar flare, EMP, or a plague takes our society further back than the early 1900s by wiping out our technology base. Consider the relatively bucolic scene just described and then add in some true post-apocalyptic hard cases. Some of the science fiction stories suddenly get much more realistic and scary. A comment out of a Star Trek scene comes to mind “In the fight between good and evil, good must be very, very good.”
Consider what kind of supplies might not be available at any cost just because there is no longer a manufacturing base or because there is no supply chain. In the 1900s they had the railroads as a lifeline from the industrial east.
How long would it take us to rebuild the tools for recovery to the early 1900 levels?
One of the greatest advantages we have is access to a huge amount of information about our world, how things work and everything in our lives. We need to be smart enough to learn/understand as much as possible and store references for all the rest. Some of us don’t sleep well at night as we are well aware of how fragile our society and technological infrastructure is. Trying to live the homesteader’s life would be very painful for most of us in the aftermath. I would prefer not to. I hope and pray it doesn’t ever come to that.
Living without power, cars, electronics or running water may seem like a nightmare scenario but to pioneers, it was just the way life was. Having the skills to survive without modern conveniences is not only smart in case SHTF, it’s also great for the environment. Keep in mind that the key to a successful homestead does not only lie on being able to grow your own food but on other skills as well. LEARNING THESE SKILLS WILL take time, patience and perseverance, and not all of these skills are applicable to certain situations. Hopefully, though, you managed to pick up some great ideas that will inspire you and get you started! Just like our forefathers used to do, The Lost Ways Book teaches you how you can survive in the worst-case scenario with the minimum resources available. It comes as a STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE ACCOMPANIED BY PICTURES AND TEACHES YOU HOW TO USE BASIC INGREDIENTS TO MAKE SUPER-FOOD FOR YOUR LOVED ONES.
A series of big earthquakes in less than 24 hours could have been caused by seismic waves travelling along fault lines and triggering ruptures.
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit New Zealand on Wednesday followed by others off the coasts of Japan (6.1), Vanuatu (6.4), and Indonesia (5.7) early Thursday morning.
All were along the ‘Ring of Fire’ that stretches around the Pacific from New Zealand to Chile through Indonesia, Japan, and California, in which 90 per cent of quakes happen.
Reports from GeoNet (pictured) showed the second quake being felt strongly around Wellington and the Cook Strait
There was also a big earthquake in Mexico that killed more than 230, but despite the country falling in the ‘Ring’, experts ruled out a connection to the other quakes.
Seismologists admitted the cluster of quakes, along with others near Tonga (5.0), Taiwan (5.3), and Papua New Guinea (5.2), on the same day was ‘unusual’.
‘It is unusual, there’s no doubt about that, it’s been really busy,’ University of Melbourne’s Gary Gibson told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I must say these unusual clusters happen fairly often and it seems they are not totally random, we just don’t know why.’
A similar earthquake back in 2011 killed 15,894 people and injured 10 more when a tsunami, landslides and fires broke out as a result. But experts are predicting today’s quake should pass by without causing any harm
Phil Cummins at Geoscience Australia and the Australian National University suggested seismic waves cascading along fault lines could be responsible.
He said waves could also jump between nearby fault lines and continue moving, triggering imminent earthquakes at rupture points.
‘The waves that are excited by the earthquakes might rattle or disturb some distant faults that are close to rupture already,’ he said.
Professor Cummins said seismic waves couldn’t create earthquakes by themselves, but could bring forward ones already about to happen.
Locals living near Mount Agung volcano in Bali were seen evacuating their homes following a 5.7 magnitude earthquake nearby
Vanuatu, which has a population of 270,000, is made up of 80 nations scattered across 1,300 kilometres of ocean and experienced a 6.4 magnitude earthquake early on Wednesday
‘These are earthquakes that would almost certainly have happened very soon,’ he said.
Like Mr Gibson, he said earthquakes seemed to cluster in time but there was well-established explanation why, only theoretical possibilities.
Professor Cummins also couldn’t rule out the same mechanism could provoke another significant earthquake in coming hours or days.
A person is rescued from the debris in Mexico City after the devastating earthquake on Wednesday that killed more than 230 people
Mexico was devastated by a 7.1 magnitude, killing more than 230 people and leaving hundreds more trapped underneath collapsed buildings
However, both scientists ruled out any link to Wednesday’s twin earthquakes in Mexico, which killed more than 230 people as they were too far away.
Mr Gibson said the first Mexican earthquake could in theory have triggered the other by creating a stress field – but they would need to be at most 200km apart.
‘It is possible for earthquakes to affect a stress field and trigger more quakes, but those earthquakes would have had to be fairly imminent in the first place,’ he said.
If we’ve learned one thing about major media sources like Fox News, Newsweek, National Geographic, and others over the past couple of weeks it’s that their fact-checking teams are about as sophisticated as the National Enquirer or World Weekly News.
Just look at these ridiculous headlines:
When Will The World End? Doomsday Theory Says Fiery Hell On Earth Kicks Off Saturday (Newsweek)
Why It’s Unlikely the World Will End on September 23 (National Geographic)
A Wave of Prophecies That the World Is Ending Saturday May Not Be Correct, It Turns Out (Slate)
World ending Saturday? Here are 8 times the world was supposed to end, and didn’t (USA Today)
Those creepy British tabloids are all over it too.
All of zero people have claimed that the world will end tomorrow – and that apparently includes David Meade. There are many theories about what might soon happen, but none of them involve the world ending on September 23, 2017 or anytime soon. The excitement surrounding September 23, 2017 has been generated because an astronomical alignment will appear that matches the description given in Revelation 12:1-2 quite literally. This much can be seen by anyone with a computer or mobile phone and observers in the Middle East will be able to see it with their own eyes if they look before sunrise and after sunset tomorrow.
Fox News and The Sun have already published corrections about the Saturday hoopla.
In any case, for those Christians who love Christ and long for Heaven (which should be all Christians, but unfortunately is not), there is an ongoing and natural expectancy for the return of the Lord. We don’t know for sure the day or hour, but we’re continually watchful and hopeful as all Christians are commanded to be (Lk. 12:35-46, 21:36; Matt. 24:42-51; 1 Thess. 5:4; Rev. 3:3). (Click to Site)

The growing phenomenon of Christians observing the Biblical holidays is bringing Jews and Christians closer while helping to eliminate anti-Jewish replacement theology. This phenomenon is creating a new Bible-based aspect within Christianity, and for some Jews, revealing a previously hidden aspect of the holidays.
Wednesday evening begins an intense period including three major Jewish holidays, starting off with Rosh Hashana (the New Year), continuing with Yom Kippur (Day of Repentance) ten days later, and ending with Sukkot. Until recently, this was a uniquely and exclusively Jewish experience. Now, many Christians are finding spiritual meaning in experiencing the feasts and holidays they previously only read about.
The source for the holidays in Judaism is, of course, the Bible, and many Christians are drawn to the holidays for their Biblical origins. Harriett Shipman Casas grew up in South Carolina listening to her father talk about the High Holy Days and keeping the Sabbath. His family origins were from Jerusalem, which perhaps gave him a different perspective than the other members of their Baptist Church.
“He said that we should go to church on Saturday, not Sunday,” Shipman told Breaking Israel News. “He also said that we shouldn’t eat any pork or unclean food.”
As she grew older, she felt that something spiritual was lacking in the church. Shipman searched the Bible for answers.
“I read my Bible, taking each chapter apart, sentence by sentence. I kept praying and asking God to show me, and show me He did,” Shipman said, explaining that her search led her to an in-depth study of the Jewish calendar and the Sabbath. The answers she found in the Bible led her on a search for a church that shared this belief, which she eventually found.
“I found out, that they kept not only the Sabbath, but the Holy Days and dietary laws also,” Shipman said.
In a similar story, Kim Kunkel, a 29-year-old from St. Augustine, Florida, learned about the Biblical holidays from her father. As a devout Christian, he read books about the Temple and “God’s feasts”, so her understanding of the holidays, though Biblically based, is uniquely Christian.
Eventually, the Biblical holidays became a practical part of their religious observance. The prayer group she attended in college held special services on the Friday night preceding the holiday.
“We would celebrate both Jewish and traditionally Christian holidays,” Kunkel told Breaking Israel News. This approach to the holidays continued after university, when Kunkel returned to live with her family. “My family loved the feasts, but they would never give up Christmas.”
The result of Christians connecting to the Biblical holidays is a phenomenon some may find troubling: Christians who incorporate Jewish holidays into their observance.
David Nekrutman, the executive director for the Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding and Cooperation (CJCUC), feels that Christian observance of the Jewish holidays is entirely Torah appropriate, especially for Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year.
“Rosh Hashana is a universal holiday,” Nekrutman told Breaking Israel News. “It is the birthday of the world. All of creation is being judged as to whether they are accepting the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as King of the World.”
“The shofar has all the components of the creation of man, and it breathes,” Nekrutman explained. “It wakes us up to a universal call to action. It is an amazing opportunity to come together.”
For some Christians, rejecting replacement theology, a Christian doctrine which holds that Christians “replaced” Jews in the Biblical covenant with God, led them to search out the Jewish roots of their religion. This inevitably led to the festivals described explicitly in the Bible.
Myrjam, from the Netherlands, grew up attending a Roman Catholic Church and was raised in replacement theology. A little more than two years ago, she began to seriously consider prophecies about the end-of-days. This caused an “inner earthquake resulting in an deeper knowledge of God”.
“I really felt obliged to look into it,” Myrjam told Breaking Israel News. “This got me into a spiritual roller-coaster that completely consumed me and my husband. In the end, I had a deeper knowledge of the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. When you dive into end times, sooner or later you will run into Israel.”
This powerful epiphany led to a search for the Torah roots of her faith.
“My eyes were opened to a whole new beautiful world to explore,” she said. “That is Israel, the Jewish people, and God’s appointed times.”
Myrjam and her family began keeping Shabbat, which quickly led to observing the Biblical holidays.
“We keep God’s appointed days and times, though we started out keeping them clumsy at first, we do the best we can, learn, and ask God to show us the way.”
In the same manner as religious Jews, Myrjam has been working on repentance for the past month, the Hebrew month of Elul, in preparation for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. “We have been sounding the shofar every day, not drinking alcohol, reading Psalm 27 every day, and searching our souls, asking for forgiveness,” she told Breaking Israel News.
Myrjam plans on celebrating all the High Holidays this season.
“We will be attending the service at our church this Thursday and blowing the shofar,” she said. “Everyone will bring nice foods, probably with apples from our garden and make some loud noise, the kids will love that. It really is an adventure as we don’t know anything about these traditions and apart from the church, we don’t have anyone to teach us.”
Yom Kippur, the day of repentance, is more theologically challenging than Rosh Hashana for many Christians.
“I still think more like an Evangelical Christian,” Kunkel said. “We can feel guilty and unsure about sin at times and ask for forgiveness or repent at any time in the year. We don’t really have the idea about doing it all on Yom Kippur and fasting, so that is still a new idea to me.”
Nekrutman explained that this difficulty is not uncommon since Judaism and Christianity have very different approaches to repentance.
“In Jewish tradition, repentance is universal and not individual,” Nekrutman explained. He emphasized that even the language used in Jewish prayer books is written in the first-person plural. “We sinned. On Yom Kippur, we turn to the king in national repentance.”
Nekrutman explained that as more Christians observe the holidays, a unique message for Jews is being revealed.
“On the holidays of Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashana, Jews need to ask ourselves, are we relating to our Torah-mandated commission to the world? Have we uplifted the world? Have we been a light unto the nations?” Nekrutman asked. “If we make Rosh Hashana exclusive to one religion, we are closing the doors on our universal repentance.
Psalm 39:4 “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is.”
The saddest thing that will ever occur is a soul that dies without Christ. There comes a point in every person’s life where they either accept or reject the free gift of Salvation that was purchased for them at the cross by the blood sacrifice of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
There was a time limit on this Age of Grace. We do not know the exact hour or day when it will end, but the ancient Scriptures are quite clear about the signs. Careful study shows that we are in that time.
The Age of Grace is when mankind could freely receive the gift of salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, it is coming to a close. As I write these words the hour is late.
I am not a prophet and I do not claim to have secret knowledge or insight into the vast mysteries of the Lord. I am a simple woman who inherited a love of Bible prophecy and was given a modicum of talent for writing.
As such, I felt compelled to prepare a letter for my friends who would be left behind at the Rapture of the church. I did this originally in 2015, but given that so much has happened in the last two years, I have been compelled to update it. I share this with you today, in the hope that you might print and share a copy as well.
Honestly, it has been quite a struggle. I’ve lost the work several times. The formatting has been crazy. I’ve published and unpublished the letter throughout the day, the importance of it weighs on me. I’ve also tried desperately to remember who will be reading this, my typical audience is well versed in Scripture, those Left Behind will not be.
You can download this letter as a printable PDF right here. Click “Download This File”.
If you are reading these words, we are gone. Peace be with you. You will need that peace to carry you through what you are facing.
Jesus tells his disciples, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27).
I pray for you: “Lord, please comfort my Friend. Please send your presence upon them now, please open their eyes and enable them to read and understand the words you have had me write. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Please do not worry about where we are, we are safe and secure with the Lord Jesus. No matter what you are being told, hold fast to that truth, your eternal soul depends on it.
This letter is going to be the most straightforward and frank piece that I’ve ever written, for the time has passed for smooth words that cajole and coddle. You are in dire straits and the words I am about to write are the only way to save your eternal soul.
I am sure that the world is spinning in chaos now with the disappearance of so many people. Whatever you have heard, do not believe it. Jesus has returned to take His people to Heaven and the much-anticipated Rapture has occurred as was foretold in the Scriptures thousands of years ago.
The Great Disappearance
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 because the Lord himself, in a shout, in the voice of a chief-messenger, and in the trump of God, shall come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 lo, I tell you a secret; we indeed shall not all sleep, and we all shall be changed; in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed:
I am deeply sorry that you were not with us, I cannot imagine the fear and chaos that has come upon the world after millions of Christians and all the babies and small children have instantly disappeared.
Your Last Chance
Have no doubt, these events have been established by God since the foundation of the Earth was laid. He has a specific purpose for His Creation and you have just witnessed the greatest sign and obvious fulfillment of prophecy ever given to mankind. You can either accept it or reject it, the choice is yours but do it now because if the window is open, it will close quickly; this letter may be your only chance.
If you have heard and rejected the Good News of Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ before the disappearances, you are in the gravest peril imaginable.
There is a chance, it is already too late and that these words I am writing to you are in vain but I must try.
In your heart, you did not believe that “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Jesus will not die but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).
God will be sending a powerful delusion to those who have heard and rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:11) If you do not repent and accept Jesus as your Savior, you will believe the lies. You will not be able to resist. Once that happens, you are lost forever.
It is not scriptural, but there is an old Jewish tradition called the Days of Awe which says that on Rosh Hashanah the Lord will write the names of the Redeemed in the Book of Life. People whose names are not written in the book have a grace period of ten days, to repent and profess their faith in God, and by their actions of faith to “appeal” the verdict. The final determinations are made and the book is sealed on Yom Kippur.
Many Christians in the prophecy community look for the Rapture of the Church to happen on Rosh Hashanahif that timing were to happen on that day then perhaps God in His mercy will grant this brief time for repentance for those left behind. I pray that He does.
Why Has This Happened:
To truly understand what you are facing, you must go back to the beginning. In the time before recorded Scriptures, there was a rebellion in Heaven. This rebellion was led by Lucifer, who recruited one third of the angels to fight with him against the Almighty. At some point afterward, God created the Heavens and the Earth as it exists today. He created a perfect, sinless paradise and populated it with an image bearer, Adam and Eve.
Among the perfection of Eden; enter the Deceiver; the Hater of all that is good and pure and wholesome. This envious monster loathed Adam and Eve with an unmatched fury because he hated the Almighty. He looked upon the earth and coveted it. He could not take it by force, his war in the Heavens had taught him that, but he could steal it.
He would have to make the man rebel. Satan knew that if the man sinned against God that the glory and protection that allowed Adam to walk with God would depart. Subsequently, God would not be able to be near Adam without destroying him. God would have to leave the Earth and the Devil could take over.
His plan worked. God is a just God and Satan knows the laws. By causing man to sin, Satan did not receive the Earth, but some type of lease on it. Some say this is a 6000-year period, we do not know for certain but three things are clear:
Right now, the lease is up and the true and rightful owner is taking the Earth back. Christ redeemed not only mankind at the cross, but God’s claim and dominion of the Earth.
Blood Sacrifice and the Cross
We do not have any concept of blood sacrifice but it is fundamental to God’s justice.
Since we have been talking about the Garden of Eden, let me pick up where we have left off, after Adam and Eve had disobeyed God.
We know that when Adam and Eve sinned, they realized they were naked (Gen 3:7). I believe it is because the glory of the Lord no longer covered them, they were ashamed and tried to hide and cover themselves with leaves. They were trying to cover their sin; yet mere leaves and their own efforts could not protect them from what they would face. That is why your efforts to be a good person have found you in the quandary you are in now, you could not cover your own sin.
The Bible says that God himself killed an animal and fashioned clothing for them, thus the blood covered their sins. (Gen 3:21) A sacrifice of blood covered their sins, but did not restore their former glory to them. They were still alive, but no longer had fellowship with the Lord. Their sin had caused death. Even then, the Lord had a plan for their ultimate redemption. (Gen 3:15)
Between Eden and the cross, the Lord instructed His people to sacrifice animals as an atonement for their sins. The Old Testament rituals were very important because it was a legal and spiritual act that the priests were performing, but it was imperfect and had to be repeated over and over. We see that in the garden, the sin was covered but the glory was not restored; we were still cut off from God.
In God’s perfect way, He provided the sacrifice. A perfect man, fully God and fully man, to redeem mankind and redeem the Earth. So He came to the Earth, he lived this painful life of a man in a fallen and hurting world. He allowed himself to be beaten, scourged, and crucified that each precious drop of His blood was the sacrifice perfect justice demanded. (John 19)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
For 2000 years, this invitation has been open to all mankind. A gift bought at a great price, but there was a time limit on the Age of Grace and that time ended with the Rapture of the Church.
Now the Judgement Begins
This seven-year period known as the Tribulation, or Jacob’s Trouble. It is set aside to bring the Jews back into relationship with God and to judge the nations over how they have treated Israel. This is also the judgment of Satan and his fallen angels and their eviction from the Earth.
If you value truth, believe what I say to you. Perilous times are ahead. The painful fact is that most people that remain on the earth today will die over the course of the next 7 years. Odds are, you and your family and friends that remain will not survive to the Second Coming of Jesus.
What is coming upon the earth is well documented; from the time Israel signs the peace treaty with the man of sin, the clock will start on the final 7 years. There may be a lag time between the Rapture and the treaty, but we are told in Scripture that this period will be the most horrific ever recorded.
Pray this Prayer to be Saved:
To avoid eternal damnation in the fires of Hell and get to Heaven, you must pray this prayer: “Dear Lord Jesus – I am sorry that I have hardened my heart to you, I am sorry that I did not believe that you came to save me. I am sorry that I have tried to find you with my own righteousness. I am a sinner, please forgive me, Lord. I confess that I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and was raised on the third day. I believe that there is no other name under heaven or on earth by which we can be saved. I ask for you to come into my life, to come into my heart, and I ask you to seal me with your mark. Lord strengthen me for the trials to come. Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me. In my own strength, I can do nothing but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”
Hold on Tight
If you have prayed this prayer, memorize it and pray it often. You have been sealed by the Holy Spirit.
You must hold tight to your salvation. For unlike the church age, this salvation demands obedience, vigilance, and faith. “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matt 24:12-13).
Persecution and great danger will follow, “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.” (Rev 14:12)
The Parable of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25 describes what will happen to believers who survive the Tribulation. Half of them were found to have not retained their salvation. Oil in that parable is the Holy Spirit, whom you have received a portion of if you prayed the above prayer.
This will be no easy task and many will not make it, I pray you are among those that overcome.
Truth Will Come From Israel
You will need to study the Bible, it is logical to determine that an understanding of the Scriptures you will need to survive this time may have been hidden from us in this Age will be revealed by the Holy Spirit now. Great teachers that will emerge from Israel.
The Bible prophecies that the Lord will raise up 144,000 Jews from the Nation of Israel (Rev 7:4) who will proclaim the Word of the Lord. They will be the truth tellers and the teachers and will understand and proclaim what people must do to retain their Salvation during this time. They will be the great evangelists and will be protected from the perils to come.
Revelation 11 tells us of two prophets that are sent to Israel that will prophesy at the Temple for 1260 Days. If anyone tries to harm them they will spew fire from their mouths and consume their enemies. When their time is finished, the AntiChrist will be allowed to kill them, their bodies will lie on the ground for 3.5 days and all the world will celebrate and give gifts to one another. Then the Lord will breathe life into their bodies and they will be raised to life in front of the entire world. He will call them back to Heaven and a great earthquake will shake the city.
Deception Planned for Thousands of Years
Do you think for a moment that the Rapture of the Church would have caught the Devil napping and not ready to fight his last battle? He has always been ready.
The world will have many stories; Satan and his minions will come with many lying signs and wonders, (2 Thessalonians 2:9) they have prepared for this hour since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden when they received the lease to planet Earth. Revelation Chapter 5 starts with the breaking of the seals on this lease.
These fallen angels are powerful beings and will amaze mankind with their tricks, Scripture says that if it were possible they would even fool the very elect. They will have elaborate explanations as to where we have all gone.
Who They Really Are and What They Will Do
The old Enemy Satan and his demons will demonstrate amazing power and spin false tales. Satan always tries to counterfeit God. We see it throughout Scripture but especially in the Book of Revelation where he mimics the Triune God of the Bible with the Beast, the False Prophet, and the Anti-Christ. Often overlooked are the “disciples”, described in Scriptures as the 10 kings.
A benevolent New World Government will emerge from the chaos. The Bible says they will organize themselves into Ten Kingdoms (Rev 17:12). They will claim to be the good guys, they are not.
We meet these nefarious 10 kings several times in Scripture, (Dan 2:31-35, Dan 2:40-45; Dan 7:7-8, 19-24; Rev 13:1-2; Rev 17:3,7) but most explicitly in Daniel 7:24 and then again in Revelation 17:12,16.
The imagery of Revelation requires and understanding of the symbols, a horn in ancient culture was a symbol of royal power. It is why today, crowns have spires resembling horns. The 10 kings, the False Prophet, and the Anti-Christ are all subservient to the Beast who is Satan. Thus, we have the counterfeit 12 Apostles.
A leader, the Anti-Christ, will emerge from them that will be the most amazing orator, peacemaker, and problem solver the world has ever known. He will inspire the world and they will fall at his feet. The Apostle John is the first to use the term Anti-Christ in 1 John 2:18, 1 John 2:22, 1 John 4:3, and 2 John 7. It is interesting to note that the term, is only used four times and never in Revelation. We can see from the above Scriptures that the spirit of Anti-Christ was on the Earth in the 1st century.
It is smoke and mirrors, he is an evil man and midway through the Tribulation will seem to take a fatal wound to the head. When he rises from the dead, there is no other than Satan possessing him.
In 600 bc, the prophet Daniel wrote: “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.” Since the prophet makes sure to include that the man does not desire women, it is reasonable to conclude that this new leader will claim some sort of androgynous status. His identity remains veiled during the Age of Grace when I write these words but you will soon know of whom the prophet spoke.
A New Religion
The False Prophet will emerge and proclaim the AntiChrist has been raised from the dead and is god. He will erect a statue to him that will move and will direct the world to worship this leader. Anyone who refuses will be murdered.
Prior to this time, there will perhaps be some sort of All-inclusive religion with strong elements of Mother Nature and Gaia worship interwoven through it. This mystery religion is as old as post-flood Mesopotamia and has come in many forms and faces, it is the Great Harlot, Mystery Babylon. (Rev 17)
Commerce and the Mark of the Beast:
All will be required to receive a mark, either on their forehead or their hand that will allow them to buy and sell. Anyone who refuses the mark will have their body killed, anyone who accepts it is damned to hell forever. (Rev. 14:9-11).
Given the revelations of the Equifax massive security breach, roughly half of the American public has had their full credit history, their Social Security numbers, their addresses, and their birthdays stolen. Couple that with millions of disappearances and there is no conceivable way for the financial institutions to know if you are who you say you are when you go to the bank to claim your money. Thus, this will be the rationale for a new identification and worldwide payment system and financial system; the Mark of the Beast. Under no circumstances take this mark, it will doom you to eternal fire and damnation.
Prepare For The Future
I suspect that reference material, books, websites, and bibles will be systematically eliminated. Find a Bible and keep it with you. Take it, use it, read it – it will be your most important weapon moving forward. Go to gracethrufaith.com and print off as much as you can about what is coming, the doctrine and teaching on this site is solid. RaptureReady.com was designed to survive but recent events even call that into question as they were brought down recently. If they are up, they will have articles and research. If you do not understand something, ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom.
Information will be quickly shut down and controlled. We see this now, Google controls the internet, the satellites, the flow of information. Facebook has facial recognition software for just about every human on the planet. Amazon will quickly control commerce. Our phones have tracked us everywhere we have gone, our cars GPS’s pinpoint our exact locations. The media companies are owned by less than a dozen companies and the entertainment world is poised and ready for propaganda the likes of which has never been seen.
How it Ends:
Now for the Good news, God wins. He will triumph over Satan and will usher in His glorious millennial kingdom. The earth will be restored to its original perfect state, justice, kindness, goodness, and prosperity will blanket the inhabitants. Many that survive the Tribulation will not die but will have their bodies healed and renewed. There IS hope.
Weapons of Faith
You can do this and the Lord will help you. You are no longer on your own, the Holy Spirit will guide you.
Memorize the Lord’s Prayer:
Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Memorize the Full Armor of God:
Ephesians 6:10-18 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm.
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
I wish I could tell you all that I know but I feel this letter drawing to a close. I have not gone into detail of the consequences of not choosing the path I’ve laid out for you, I trust that you will not choose foolishly. Know this, everyone lives forever – this puff of smoke we call life determines whether you will spend it in paradise or whether you will be tormented in the fire, sulfur, and violence forever.
There will be only one source of truth, the Bible. Cling to it for your life, guard it, protect it – if discovered, it will get you killed but it will save your soul.
Sadly, every day it will get worse. The judgments to come upon this Earth will get more severe. Gather as much, food, water, and medicine and medical supplies as you can. Download and print as much survival information on how to build shelters, ovens, and purify water. Stash supplies in varied hiding places; much destruction will befall the world. You are going to have to be a bad ass to survive.
Make no mistake, you are still here because you chose to be. There is no one to blame but yourself, don’t blame God, and don’t blame me. He has sent you one last lifeline, I’ve written it, it’s up to you to act upon it.
At some point during the judgments to come, everyone will believe in God but most will hate Him. Revelation 16:11 says, “and they cursed the God of heaven for their pains and sores. But they did not repent of their evil deeds and turn to God.” You see He will make Himself known to everyone that none will have an excuse. I beg you now, to choose the right path. I love you and I have prayed for you.

“It is too little that you should be My servant In that I raise up the tribes of Yaakov And restore the survivors of Yisrael: I will also make you a light of nations, That My salvation may reach the ends of the earth.” Isaiah 49:6 (The Israel Bible™)
At Tuesday’s address to the 72nd United Nations General Assembly at the U.N. headquarters in New York, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cited the Bible various times as a source against “fake history” and the true reason behind Israel’s flourishing in the face of its enemies.
During his speech, Netanyahu had harsh words for the United Nations, known for its anti-Israel bias. Condemning the UNESCO’s July declaration of the Tomb of the Patriarchs as a Palestinian World Heritage site, he said, “That’s worse than fake news, that’s fake history.” Citing the Bible as evidence to history, Netanyahu added, “It’s true that Abraham, the father of both Ishmael and Isaac, is buried there, but so too are Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca – Sarah is a Jewish name, by the way – and Leah, who just happen to be patriarchs and matriarchs of the Jewish people. You won’t read about that in the latest UNESCO report.
“But if you want to, you can read about that in a somewhat weightier publication,” he continued. “It’s called the Bible. I highly recommend it. I hear it even got 4 ½ out of 5 stars on Amazon. And it’s a great read. I read it every week.”
Netanyahu called upon the UN, on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, to reflect on the “miraculous rebirth of our nation” and the “remarkable contributions Israel will continue to make to all nations.” Such contributions are prophesied in Isaiah, where it is told that Israel will become a light unto the nations that brings salvation to the world. Netanyahu acknowledged the fulfillment of that prophecy, highlighting Israel’s positive influence in “the food you eat, the water you drink, the medicines you take, the cars you drive, the cell phones you use, and in so many other ways that are transforming our world.”
“As the prophet Isaiah said, ‘I have made you a light unto the nations, bringing salvation to the ends of the earth,’” Netanyahu quoted. He concluded that Israel is amidst a “great revolution in Israel’s standing among the nations.”
Over and over, the Israeli premiere emphasized the divine origin of Israel’s great contributions to the world. “Today, 2,700 years after Isaiah spoke those prophetic words, Israel is becoming a rising power among the nations,” he said. “And at long last, its light is shining across the continents, bringing hope and salvation to the ends of the earth.”
Netanyahu also thanked United States President Donald Trump for his unequivocal support for Israel at the UN, and the Trump administration, the American Congress and the American people for strengthening “the remarkable alliance between the United States and Israel,” which he said “has never been stronger, never been deeper.” Netanyahu also thanked President Trump for rightly calling the deal with Iran “an embarrassment.”
Focusing on Iran’s ballistic missile campaign, Netanyahu called it a “campaign of conquest across the Middle East” that “vows to destroy my country every day, including by its chief of staff the other day.” He urged breaking the deal with Iran: “Change it, cancel it, fix it, or nix it,” he said.
He assured the people of Iran that they are not the enemy and instead sent a simple Biblical warning to Ayatollah Khamenei, the dictator of Iran, quoting Samuel 15:29: “The light of Israel will never be extinguished.”
In his own address, his first speech before the United Nations, President Trump sent a similar message to Iran on Tuesday, targeting “rogue regimes” including North Korea, Iran, and Syria, and calling Iran “another reckless regime, one that speaks openly of mass murder, vowing death to America, destruction to Israel and ruin for many leaders and nations in this room.”
Breaking with the more mild approach American leadership has taken towards radical Islam in the past decade, Trump called out Hezbollah and other terror regimes by name, making clear he intends to take a hard line on terror in the Middle East and elsewhere.
Israeli commentator and political figure David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, praised Trump’s speech in an interview on Fox, stating, “I think that we can clearly say after hearing that speech that the age of American naivete is over.” (Click to Site)
So Clinton wrote in her 494-page new memoir, What Happened, which was released today.
In the book, Clinton complained that the “attacks” against her use of the private email server “were untrue or wildly overstated, and motivated by partisan politics.”
She revealed her voodoo doll temptation:
It was a dumb mistake. But an even dumber “scandal.” It was like quicksand: the more you struggle, the deeper you sink. At times, I thought I must be going crazy. Other times, I was sure it was the world that had gone nuts. Sometimes I snapped at my staff. I was tempted to make voodoo dolls of certain members of the press and Congress and stick them full of pins. Mostly, I was furious at myself.
This isn’t the first time Clinton wrote about voodoo, which Google’s dictionary defines as a “religious cult practiced in the Caribbean and the southern US, combining elements of Roman Catholic ritual with traditional African magical and religious rites, and characterized by sorcery and spirit possession.”
In her previous memoir, Hard Choices, Clinton described attending a voodoo spirit ceremony with a “voodoo priest” during her honeymoon with Bill Clinton in Haiti in 1975.
She related in Hard Choices:
One of the most memorable experiences of our trip was meeting a local voodoo priest named Max Beauvoir.
He invited us to attend one of his ceremonies. We saw Haitians “seized with spirits” walk on hot coals, bite the heads off live chickens, and chew glass, spit out the shards, and not bleed. At the end of the ceremony, the people claimed the dark spirits had departed. (Click to Site)
