On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) made it clear—there will be no special treatment for the Clintons under a Trump administration and Republican-led Congress. Speaking on NewsNation’s “The Hill”, Comer laid out the consequences: “You’re not going to have a lot of sympathy from the Trump DOJ if the Clintons fail to comply.”

Bipartisan Subpoena: No Place to Hide

This isn’t partisan political theater. The subpoena—part of the House Oversight Subcommittee’s growing Epstein investigation—was approved in a bipartisan vote, sending a message that this is no longer about party lines, but justice.

“There were Democrats and Republicans on the record voting to subpoena that whole list,” Comer told host Blake Burman. That list includes not only the Clintons, but former AGs, intelligence officials, and campaign operatives—many of whom have hovered around Epstein’s orbit for decades.

Contempt of Congress Now on the Table

Comer was blunt about what comes next: “If someone doesn’t comply with a subpoena… you can hold them in contempt of Congress.” And this time, with a Republican attorney general in place, the threats aren’t empty.
