According to a report in the British Times, Israeli officials privately told U.K. counterparts that recognizing “Palestine” would come at a steep cost: the immediate end of high-level intelligence sharing—especially counter-terrorism data critical to preventing Islamist attacks in Britain.

Security or Symbolism?
