He’s mocked the Bible. He’s ridiculed the faith. He’s spent decades attacking Israel, the Jewish people, and the very foundations of biblical truth. But a day is coming—a day Roger Waters cannot escape—when he will stand face-to-face with the God of Israel, the very God he denied existed.
Roger Waters, the former Pink Floyd frontman and self-proclaimed atheist, has become infamous not only for his music but for his vitriolic opposition to the modern state of Israel and the Judeo-Christian worldview. His concerts have featured disturbing imagery equating the Star of David with oppression and greed. He has aligned himself with radical anti-Israel groups, praised violent resistance movements, and publicly rejected the God of Scripture.
But the God of Israel does not forget. And He does not remain silent forever.
“For it is written: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.’” – Romans 14:11
A Life of Rebellion Against the God of the Bible
Waters has not hidden his disdain for faith. He has mocked Christianity, accused Israel of apartheid, and called for global boycotts against the Jewish state. His activism crosses from political opinion into full-blown spiritual hostility. At concerts, he’s been seen in a Nazi-style outfit, with anti-Semitic symbols projected behind him. He defends it all as “art.”
But for those who understand the Scriptures, this is more than art. It is part of a deeper rebellion—against the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.” – Psalm 14:1
He Stands Against God’s Covenant People
Genesis 12:3 contains one of the clearest promises in the Bible: “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you.” Roger Waters has cursed Israel with his lips, defamed the Jewish people with his stagecraft, and aligned himself with movements that seek Israel’s destruction.
Whether he realizes it or not, Waters is waging a war not just against a nation, but against the covenant that God made with His people.
“Those who attack Israel aren’t simply attacking a country—they’re opposing the God who gave her that land,” said Pastor Mark Lewis of Texas. “And Scripture tells us how that ends.”
The Day of Reckoning Is Coming
Roger Waters may have evaded earthly consequences, but he cannot escape divine justice. A day is coming when he, like every man, will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. His wealth, fame, and political alliances will mean nothing. Only one thing will matter: Did he bow to the King of Kings—or did he curse His name?
“It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment.” – Hebrews 9:27
He will face the God of Israel not as a critic or activist—but as a defendant.
The Spirit of Antichrist Is Rising
Waters’ message is not isolated. It is part of a broader anti-God, anti-Israel, anti-truth movement sweeping across the globe. The spirit of antichrist, warned of in 1 John 2:18, is at work through voices in media, music, politics, and academia. Waters just happens to be one of the loudest.
“He represents the cultural rebellion of this age,” said prophecy researcher Daniel Masters. “Mock God. Hate Israel. Call evil good and good evil. It’s the same old spirit repackaged for the end times.”
But God Will Not Be Mocked
Though Waters may mock faith today, his knees will one day bow—voluntarily or by force. Whether in this life or the next, he will acknowledge the sovereignty of the God he rejected.
“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” – Galatians 6:7
The mocking rock star will one day be silenced by the voice of the Judge of all the earth.
There’s Still Time to Repent
As long as there is breath, there is hope. Even Saul of Tarsus once persecuted God’s people—until he met the risen Christ. But repentance requires humility, something Roger Waters has shown little of.
Still, we pray.
Because even the most hardened heart can be broken by truth.
Final Thought:
Roger Waters has spent his life cursing the God of Israel. But one day soon, he will face Him. And on that day, the only thing that will matter is not what he said on stage—but what he believed in his heart.
