She suggested using the holiday weekend to criticize the bill, which passed the House on May 22, 2025. Her call to action sparked backlash, where Americans grilled her for politicizing a holiday meant to honor fallen soldiers.
Critics rightly labeled her remarks as divisive and inappropriate for Memorial Day’s solemn context. Many Americans pointed out that this is exactly why Democrats are losing support and elections, suggesting it alienates and angers voters. Clearly, Hillary Clinton doesn’t seem to care to honor such a sacred day in America.
