President Trump wants to execute all big drug dealers who are killing thousands, says Axios report

1519597240989

Jonathan Swan at Axios had an exclusive scoop about what President Donald Trump really thinks about drug dealers.

Sources close to Trump and in the White House told Axios that the President loves Singapore’s mandatory death penalty for drug trafficking and constantly talks about it.

Trump acknowledges a law that strict would be difficult to get passed in America, but he may back legislation requiring five-year mandatory minimum sentences for traffickers of some of the most dangerous opioids, Axios reported.

Currently, the laws around drug trafficking opioids are relatively loose and there is bipartisan support for making these laws much more strict.

Axios reported:

In Singapore, the death penalty is mandatory for drug trafficking offenses. And President Trump loves it. He’s been telling friends for months that the country’s policy to execute drug traffickers is the reason its drug consumption rates are so low.

  • “He says that a lot,” said a source who’s spoken to Trump at length about the subject. “He says, ‘When I ask the prime minister of Singapore do they have a drug problem [the prime minister replies,] ‘No. Death penalty’.”
“He often jokes about killing drug dealers… He’ll say, ‘You know the Chinese and Filipinos don’t have a drug problem. They just kill them.’”
— A senior administration official to Axios
  • But the president doesn’t just joke about it. According to five sources who’ve spoken with Trump about the subject, he often leaps into a passionate speech about how drug dealers are as bad as serial killers and should all get the death penalty.
  • Trump tells confidants a softer approach to drug reform — the kind where you show sympathy to the offenders and give them more lenient sentences — will never work.
  • He tells friends and associates the government has got to teach children that they’ll die if they take drugs and they’ve got to make drug dealers fear for their lives.
  • Trump has said he would love to have a law to execute all drug dealers here in America, though he’s privately admitted it would probably be impossible to get a law this harsh passed under the American system.
  • Kellyanne Conway, who leads the White House’s anti-drug efforts, argues Trump’s position is more nuanced, saying he the president about high-volume dealers who are killing thousands of people. The point he’s making, she says, is that some states execute criminals for killing one person but a dealer who brings a tiny quantity of fentanyl into a community can cause mass death in just one weekend, often with impunity.

The substance: Trump may back legislation requiring a five-year mandatory minimum sentence for traffickers who deal as little as two grams of fentanyl. Currently, you have to deal forty grams to trigger the mandatory five-year sentence. (The DEA estimates that as little as two milligrams is enough to kill people.)

  • Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid, and much of it is manufactured in Chinese labs. It can be lethal in extremely small doses. Of the 64,000 people who died of drug overdoses in 2016, more than 20,000 overdosed on synthetic opioids like fentanyl, according to the National Institute for Drug Abuse.

Between the lines: Conway told me this kind of policy would have widespread support. “There is an appetite among many law enforcement, health professionals and grieving families that we must toughen up our criminal and sentencing statutes to match the new reality of drugs like fentanyl, which are so lethal in such small doses,” she said.

  • “The president makes a distinction between those that are languishing in prison for low-level drug offenses and the kingpins hauling thousands of lethal doses of fentanyl into communities, that are responsible for many casualties in a single weekend.”

What’s next: Trump wants to get tough on drug traffickers and pharmaceutical companies. Stay tuned for policy announcements in the not-too-distant future.

On the same day that 17 children were murdered in a Florida high school, almost 300 Americans were killed by FDA-approved prescription medications

pharmacist-prescription-opioids-drugs-pills

(Natural News) On the same day that 17 students and staff were killed in a Florida high school shooting, nearly 300 Americans were killed by FDA-approved prescription medications. Yet no one cried a single tear, and the (pharma-funded) news didn’t even mention the tragedy.

When children are killed by guns, the news is emotionally multiplied with pseudojournalism “theatrics” to push for gun control while ignoring the far more devastating causes of preventable death in America. You see, while the Florida school shooting happened just once, the deaths of hundreds of Americans from FDA-approved prescription medications goes on every single day, without pause.

That’s why, according to scientific research, at least 106,000 Americans are killed each year by legal medications which are prescribed by licensed doctors. (Source: “Death By Medicine” analysis.)

Chemotherapy kills an estimated 2,700 people every day across the globe

The website PharmaDeathClock.com counts the number of people killed by toxic medicine every day, both in America and around the world. According to the site, chemotherapy alone kills an estimated 2700 people every day around the world. (See the Chemo Kills website for more details.)

As sad as any tragic shooting event might be, the actual number of innocent people killed in such events is dwarfed by those whose lives are destroyed every single day due to the corruption and collusion of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (which knowingly conceals the dangers of deadly drugs in order to protect the profits of the pharmaceutical industry it pretends to regulate).

In fact, as you’ll see from visiting PharmaDeathClock.com, the number of people routinely killed by dangerous prescription medication dwarfs the number of human beings killed in all the wars, disease outbreaks and acts of terrorism combined.

Even more alarmingly, the Florida high school shooter had been treated with mind-altering medications — a common thread we almost always discover in school shootings. In nearly every school shooting over the last two decades, the shooter was taking psychiatric medications prescribed by a psychiatrist or a doctor. The dishonest media refuses to report this link for the simple reason that they earn billions of dollars a year in ad revenue from drug makers.

The fake news media is largely funded by Big Pharma money

“Big Pharma spent nearly $6 billion on TV, magazine and digital advertisements in 2016 alone, a healthy sum ad-dependent news outlets cannot ignore,” reports Kit Daniels for InfoWars. “…suspected Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz may have been autistic and taking medication for emotional issues, yet only Infowars, World Net Daily and a handful of others are shining a light on the SSRI epidemic,” wrote Daniels.

NaturalNews, of course, spearheaded the truth on this issue nearly a decade ago. In fact, almost ten years ago, I recorded and published a hugely popular rap song called “S.S.R.Lies” . Watch it here and remember this was almost a decade ago, yet the lyrics are even more poignant today:

Also from Natural News:

The left-wing media, predictably, exploits every school shooting to push its agenda of repealing the Second Amendment and confiscating guns from law-abiding citizens, turning the United State of America into a police state where a corrupt government has a monopoly of firepower. But they refuse to consider the mind-altering effects of psychiatric medication, which emerges in nearly every school shooting in recent memory.

In 2013, I recorded and published another music video about the mass drugging of teens. It’s called Heaven Can Wait, and you can watch the full video here:

Even Fox News covers up the truth about psychiatric medications

The bottom line? I’ve been warning America about the link between mass medication and mass shootings for over a decade. The real cause behind these school shootings isn’t a mystery: It’s the mind-altering meds made by corrupt pharmaceutical corporations that bribe media companies into silence. Sean Hannity silenced a guest who tried to talk about psychiatric drugs and their links to school shootings. As explained by Matt Agorist at BlacklistedNews.com:

In a clear example of how beholden mainstream media is to the pharmaceutical industries who manufacture and market these drugs, FOX News’ Sean Hannity was recorded this week, blatantly cutting off a reporter who dared mention Nikolas Cruz’s reported association with antidepressants.

In a news segment this week, Hannity was interviewing radio talk show host, Gina Loudon who tried to bring up Cruz’s association with SSRIs.

“I think we have to take a hard look at one thing we’re not talking about yet too, Sean, and that is psychotropic drugs,” Loudon says.

“My guess is, we’ll find out like most of these shooters…..” she says, just before Hannity jumps in to silence her.

Hannity then shuts up Loudon and moves to the doctor next to her. Just like that, all talk which was implicating big pharma in their role in mass shootings was effectively silenced.

It is no secret that the pharmaceutical industry wields immense control over the government and the media. It is their control which keeps any negative press about their dangerous products from airing. However, most people likely do not know the scope of this control.

As Mike Papantonio, attorney and host of the international television show America’s Lawyer, explains, with the exception of CBS, every major media outlet in the United States shares at least one board member with at least one pharmaceutical company. To put that into perspective: These board members wake up, go to a meeting at Merck or Pfizer, then they have their driver take them over to a meeting with NBC to decide what kind of programming that network is going to air.

The same fake news media, in other words, that’s now trying to obliterate the Second Amendment and destroy your constitutional rights just happens to be funded by the very same evil pharma companies that are profiting from the psychiatric drugging of children. (Click to Source)

Maker of highly addictive OxyContin says it will stop incentivizing doctors to push its deadly drugs

prescription-drug-addiction-eating-opioids-e1518776407521

(Natural News) The opioid crisis has reached epidemic proportions in this country, with the number of deaths quadrupling since 2000, and around 115 people dying from overdoses each day. President Trump has declared the opioid crisis a national health emergency, and high schools across the country have started stocking up on the drug Narcan to try to save lives in case of an accidental overdose on school premises.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that when you consider direct healthcare costs, lost productivity, criminal prosecution and addiction treatment, this crisis costs the United States around $78.5 billion annually.

Now, Big Pharma giant Purdue, the  manufacturer of OxyContin, the world’s bestselling opioid drug, has vowed to stop marketing the drug to healthcare professionals.

Several pharmaceutical manufacturers, including Purdue, have admitted to having entire teams of sales people, as well as “front groups” and “key opinion leaders,” pushing the drug as a mainstream option for chronic, long-term pain, even though the drug was designed for cancer patients and others suffering severe pain who only need pain relief for a limited period of time.

As reported by Circa, when the drug was first released in 1995, it was hailed as a breakthrough in the treatment of severe pain, but users quickly learned that they could abuse the drug to get a high:

It worked over 12 hours to maintain a steady level of oxycodone in patients suffering from a wide range of pain ailments. But some users quickly discovered they could get a heroin-like high by crushing the pills and snorting or injecting the entire dose at once. In 2010 Purdue reformulated OxyContin to make it harder to crush and stopped selling the original form of the drug.

The manufacturer did not discontinue making the drug, of course, and went on to pitch it to healthcare professionals as a low-risk wonder drug for the treatment of pain. Purdue also later admitted to minimizing the addiction risk to doctors, who went on to prescribe it for many off-label uses, directly resulting in the crisis the country is now faced with. (Related: Learn more about what caused this crisis and what is being done to cope with it at Opioids.news.)

In the meantime, Purdue has been raking in billions in profits each year.

It is unlikely that the company has altruistic reasons for agreeing to stop lying to doctors about the risks and benefits of OxyContin. It is far more likely that the multiple lawsuits it has been inundated with has led to this change of heart.

While it is certainly better that Purdue is now no longer going to pitch propaganda to the healthcare community and has halved its sales staff to that end, experts believe that other pharmaceutical companies will have to follow suit before any real progress can be made in turning the tide of the opioid crisis.

“It is difficult to promote more cautious prescribing to the medical community because opioid manufacturers promote opioid use,” said Dr. Andrew Kolodny, director of opioid policy research at Brandeis University, and expert adviser in several of the lawsuits pending against Big Pharma.

While Purdue is a major producer of opioids, other big players like Johnson & Johnson and Allergan would have to make the same commitment to stopping the propaganda machine for any real progress to be made. (Related: Didn’t they take an oath not to do harm? Opioids are coming from doctors’ offices, not the ER.)

And while Purdue has promised to make changes in the U.S., it is making no such commitment regarding the international market.

“They are still doing this abroad,” Kolodny noted. “They are following the same playbook that they used in the United States.”

Circa noted that while Purdue Pharma only operates under that name in the United States, it is associated with two other pharmaceutical companies, Mundipharma and Napp, overseas. Purdue has distanced itself from these producers, saying that they operate independently and according to local regulations.

So, no real change of heart, then. They’ve simply turned their attention to the next lucrative market. (Click to Source)

MELANIA HAD WHITE HOUSE SPIRITUALLY CLEANSED BEFORE MOVING IN, PASTOR CLAIMS

Trumps went on spiritual warfare offensive against demonic forces, says pastormelania-white-house213

When Solomon had finished praying, the fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house.

The priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.

And when all the people of Israel saw how the fire came down and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed with their faces upon the pavement and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord.

King Solomon offered a sacrifice of 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God’s house.

The priests stood at their posts, and the Levites also, with instruments of music to the Lord, which King David had made to praise and give thanks to the Lord—for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever—whenever David praised through their ministry; the priests blew trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.

Moreover, Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord, for there he offered burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which [he] had made was not sufficient to receive the burnt offerings, the cereal offerings, and the fat.

At that time Solomon held the feast for seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt.

The eighth day they made a solemn assembly, for they had kept the dedication of the altar and the feast, each for seven days.

10 And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their homes, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the Lord had shown to David, to Solomon, and to Israel His people.

11 Thus Solomon finished the Lord’s house and the king’s house; all that [he] had planned to do in the Lord’s house and his own house he accomplished successfully.

12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said to him: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.

13 If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,

14 If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place.

16 For I have chosen and sanctified (set apart for holy use) this house, that My Name may be here forever, and My eyes and My heart will be here perpetually.

17 As for you [Solomon], if you will walk before me as David your father walked, and do all I have commanded you, and observe My statutes and My ordinances,

18 Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man to be ruler in Israel.

19 But if you [people] turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you and go and serve other gods and worship them,

20 Then will I pluck [Israel] up by the roots out of My land which I have given [them]; and this house which I have hallowed for My Name will I cast out of My sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

21 And this house, which was so high, shall be an astonishment to everyone passing it, and they will say, Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?

22 Then men will say, Because they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, Who brought them out of Egypt, and they laid hold of other gods and worshiped and served them; therefore has He brought all this evil upon them. In a February 2 interview on The Weekend Vigilante with Sheila Zilinsky, Pastor Paul Begley claimed Melania’s desire to “completely exorcise” the White House may have sparked Trump’s own religious fervor.“When the president allowed 40 pastors to come into the White House and anoint him with oil and lay their hands and pray on him—seven times he’s done this—that is unheard of,” Begley stated.

“At least he is humble enough and recognizing that he needs God enough that he keeps bringing them in for the prayer. And I’ve got to say this, it might have started with the First Lady.”

Begley continued: “The First Lady – in that five hours when the Obamas and the Trumps went down to the Capitol and Trump was being sworn in as the 45th president of the United States – Melania Trump said to her husband, ‘I’m not going to go into that White House unless it has been completely exorcised.’”

President Trump reportedly agreed.

“During that five hours when they were ripping out carpets and changing drapes, there were people in there packing up every idol. The only thing that was left, Sheila, was one cross on one wall. They cleansed the White House. They had people in there anointing it with oil and praying everywhere.”

Begley added that previous administrations had left demonic symbols at the estate, and elaborated on the Clinton’s fascination with Haiti and voodoo:

“[A]pparently during the eight years when Obama was there, and maybe even some of the presidents before him, there were all kinds of idol gods and images and all kinds of artifacts in there that were demonic, even some of the stuff from the Clinton era because they were really tied in with the Haitians.”

“I can tell you, you can read the “Serpent and the Rainbow” story and find out just how much Haitian witch-doctor influence was on Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton’s lives,” Begley added. “They constantly went back there. They spent their honeymoon with a witch doctor. Who does that?”

The Washington Post reported that in 1975 the Clintons held their honey moon in Haiti.

“They toured the old hotel where the writer Ernest Hemingway once stayed and visited a voodoo high priest dressed in all white,” The Post reported, adding the Clintons were a “Haiti-obsessed family.”

The former President’s book, My Life, also contained passages claiming the Clintons ”watched the arrival [of] the spirit, people putting burning torch over their body, walking on hot coals without being burned while other grabbing live chicken and biting their head off,” according to the Haiti Observer.

In her book, What Happened, Clinton also comments that her frustration made her want to craft voodoo dolls of members of the press and Congress “and stick them full of pins.”

“Melania said, ‘You’ve got to get all of that out of there and send in some preachers and priests to go in and cleanse the White House or I will not spend one night in it.’”

Pastor Begley says while the Trump’s acts may seem overboard, they are necessary in the arena of spiritual warfare.

“This was a major spiritual – it might sound like overdoing it, a little excessive,” he said, “but you’ve got to take the seat of authority when you go into spiritual warfare. You start with the spiritual authority and then it goes on from there out. I think that that might have been where this whole thing began, in a mighty way of exorcising the demons.”

According to CNS News, Pastor Begley based his accounts on sources inside the White House who declined to be named.

President Trump delivered remarks at the 66th annual National Prayer Breakfast Thursday where he affirmed, “Our rights are not given to us by man; our rights come from our Creator.”

Billy Graham on Why Christians Should Avoid Today’s ‘Demonic’ Witchcraft

magician-1442642__480

Evangelist Billy Graham has cautioned Christians against buying objects that claim to possess “spiritual healing” powers, as such items — no matter how innocent they seem — are “demonic” and “opposed to God.”

The 99-year-old founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association answered a reader’s question on his website regarding whether or not “lucky charms” actually affect the well being of users.

The reader wrote: “I have bad arthritis, and I saw an ad in one of those supermarket papers for a gold-plated charm that they say will heal me. The ad says it’s been prayed over by a spiritual healer, and has special magical healing powers. Should I send for it? It’s kind of expensive.”

Graham began by urging the reader to refrain from wasting their money on such an item, or anything else that claims to have magical powers.

“Nothing like this has any medical evidence to support its dubious claims, nor should you trust what the sellers say about it,” he said.

The evangelist noted that the Bible tells us to avoid any object that claims to have magical powers or is connected with someone who claims to have magical powers.

“At best, such things will only make us poorer; at worst, they may bring us into contact with spiritual powers that are not from God but are demonic and opposed to God,” he warned. “When the magicians in Ephesus turned to Christ, they immediately repented of their magical practices and destroyed their magical charms (see Acts 19:19).”

(PHOTO: REUTERS/CHRIS KEANE)Evangelist Billy Graham speaks during a dedication service on the campus of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Charlotte, North Carolina May 31, 2007.

Instead of turning to objects that falsely claim to grant spiritual healing, Graham encouraged the reader to put their hope in God who promises that in Heaven, all pain and suffering will be erased.

“Why not turn to Him for the help you need? When we commit our lives to Christ, we know God is with us, even when we experience pain or disability. No, I can’t promise He will take all your pain away — but I can promise He will be with you, to encourage you and guide you to proper medical help.”

According to a 2005 Gallup survey on paranormal beliefs, over half of Americans (55 percent) believe in psychic or spiritual healing or the power of the human mind to heal the body. A separate poll from The Associated Press found that 19 percent of Americans believe in “spells or witchcraft.”

Graham has frequently discussed the dangers of dabbling in witchcraft and occult practices, which he says are “directly opposed to God and His will for our lives.”

The main reason for God’s opposition to occult practices, he previously explained, are because they have their origin in spiritual forces that do not come from God, but from the devil.

“Just as the devil is absolutely opposed to God and His people, so too are his demons,” he said.

The Bible repeatedly warns us against doing anything that might open the door to the influence of demons over us, the Baptist pastor contended.

“One of the ways they gain entrance into our lives is through occult practices-even those that seem amusing or harmless,” he said. “The Bible says, ‘For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against … the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12, ESV).” (Click to Source)

The Demonic Festival Plaguing Christians Prepares to Rear Its Ugly Head Worldwide

reuters-carnival-haiti

“Haiti is 30 percent Christian, but 100 percent vodou (Haitian voodoo).”

This is a statement I’ve heard several times through my years of working in Haiti. I’ve come to realize just how close to true this actually is. Because Christians in Haiti might not practice vodou, but they are certainly wary of the negative effects it can have on their communities. An example that comes to mind is a memory of my husband disposing of a snake as three (Christian) Haitian women screamed that he had killed a demon.

The negative effects of vodou are particularly visible as we near the Haitian celebration for Mardi Gras, called Kanaval. In Haiti, Kanaval goes for weeks preceding Lent. And while many Haitian Catholics and Protestants do use this time to prepare for the Lenten season, vodou practicers openly worship spirits during the Carnival parade, known as defile. They use it as a time to assert the dominance of vodou priests and priestesses, known as houngans and mambos, on the communities. Many vodou worshippers dress up as the spirits they are worshipping. Some dress as zombies, devils or the dead. The most dedicated vodou worshippers use this time to thank the spirits that they believe helped them gain their independence from France in 1803.

In this atmosphere one might see fights break out, curses cast, even lives lost. In 2015, Kanaval was cancelled after a performer in a parade was shocked by a high-voltage wire, leading to a stampede. Eighteen were killed and 78 more injured in the resulting chaos.

While Carnival or Mardi Gras events in other parts of the world seem like nothing but big, if hedonistic, parties, the darkness evident during Haiti’s celebration of Kanaval is so contrary to the light God gave the world through Jesus. Jesus brought life, not death and destruction. Going into this season of remembering his sacrifice should not be a time to fear, but a time to rejoice and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. And yet Christians across Haiti live in fear of what could happen to them or their families during this turbulent time of the year.

The non-profit I work for in Haiti is called LiveBeyond. We are based in Thomazeau, the self-proclaimed “vodou capital of Haiti.” There are vodou training centers and vodou temples called peristil yo in many of the villages around us. But we know that while Satan came to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus came to give abundant life (John 10:10). We evangelize in our community daily, preaching about the healing of Jesus and the joy that he brings. We celebrated over 100 baptisms last year, as well as countless weddings and baby dedications. We offer discipleship training to new believers and build up strong spiritual leaders in our area through teleconferencing. Each week we facilitate a call between Haitian pastors and ministers from the United States so that they can share counsel and pray together.

I ask you to join us and the other Christian non-profits across Haiti like But God Ministries and Hope for Haiti’s Children in praying for our Christian brothers and sisters who will face persecution during this turbulent season. With your support we can continue to assist our brothers and sisters in confronting the oppression and darkness of Haitian vodou with the consuming power of the kingdom of light. (Click to Source)

FDA Declares ‘Virtually All’ Drug Products Labeled As Homeopathic Are Illegal

big-pharma-e1485520284119

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reportedly declared that “virtually all” homeopathic drugs are illegal. Reports that the FDA is cracking down on the use of natural medicines have been circulating for a while. However, in a recently released “guidance document,” the FDA is now quoted as saying that homeopathic drugs are considered “new drugs” that are allegedly being sold illegally.

The FDA released its new guidance document last month, and sources in support of the use of homeopathic drugs are still attempting to translate what the FDA is calling a “draft guidance” that’s been released for “comment purposes only.” Homeopathy is becoming an increasingly popular form of treating various diseases naturally for people worldwide.

According to the Homeopathy Research Institute, more than 200 million people now regularly use homeopathic drugs, with over 6 million people in the U.S. alone using homeopathy “for self-care of specific health conditions.” More and more people are turning to homeopathic drugs versus prescriptions drugs due to alleged lower cost and fewer side effects. Natural medicines are also said to heal, rather than simply mask the symptoms of a disease.

With a growing number of the adult population around the world turning to homeopathy, as well as the recent “war on opioids” in the news, the FDA decided to announce new policies on the use of homeopathic drugs. An article on the Alliance for Natural Health USA from just over two weeks ago states that the FDA has effectively labeled “virtually every single homeopathic drug” as illegal, as outlined in the homeopathic guidance document.

In an attempt to decode the “FDA’s current position” on the use and sale of homeopathic drugs, the previously mentioned article says that since not one homeopathic drug has yet to be approved by the FDA as being “safe and effective,” then “all homeopathic drugs” are effectively illegal, and therefore, currently being sold illegally.

“A new drug cannot be marketed unless it goes through the FDA’s approval process. No homeopathic drugs have gone through FDA approval nor can any producer afford to take them through the approval process.”

Citing the guidance document on the FDA website, homeopathic drugs are “marketed unapproved new drugs” with “potential safety risks” and “lack evidence of effectiveness.” The document goes on to say that homeopathic drugs are considered “health fraud products,” which, in turn, “present challenges” in getting the FDA’s approval as new drugs. The FDA then goes on to outline a “risk-based” approach to regulating homeopathic drugs.

An article on Mercola from Tuesday states that both adults and children currently use homeopathic drugs because natural medicines are still considered “generally safe.” Unlike some prescription medications, homeopathic remedies are also said to not carry the same risk of dependency, and according to Mercola, are “unlikely” to cause “severe” side effects.

However, as noted on Mercola, the FDA still plans to take a new approach of regulating homeopathic drugs that reportedly carry a greater “risk to patients.” After essentially determining that homeopathic drugs are “new drugs” that haven’t been approved for manufacturing, distributing or marketing, the FDA notes that it plans to enforce “regulatory actions” against “certain categories” of homeopathic drugs.

Those categories include homeopathic drugs with already “reported safety concerns,” homeopathic drugs with ingredients that are determined to “raise safety concerns,” including products that contain multiple homeopathic ingredients, homeopathic drugs that are not for use orally or topically, as well as homeopathic products that claim to prevent or treat “serious” or “life-threatening” health conditions.

However, SmithsonianMag reported in November of 2016 that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) had already announced a policy that requires a disclaimer on homeopathic drugs that state there is no scientific evidence to prove that homeopathy really works to treat illness and disease. The article on SmithsonianMag goes on to clarify that the FDA did not yet “police” homeopathic drugs and remedies.

With the FDA recently joining the FTC in regulating the use of homeopathy, while basically stating that “all homeopathic drugs are illegal” and unapproved new drugs, supporters of natural medicine are speaking out. There are several petitions circulating online in support of legalizing all homeopathy, and other supporters are simply speaking their minds on social media and in forums and message boards.

Gizmodo notes that the FDA is taking comments on the new “guidance document” for 90 days from its release date in December before deciding on regulations and enforcement policies for “illegal” homeopathic drugs. Comments on Gizmodo are mixed, from some supporters of homeopathy saying that people have died from doctor-prescribed medications to critics saying that there are “only a very few” homeopathic drugs that actually work.

Patients who turn to homeopathy to treat health conditions often become fed up with conventional medical treatments, and the Huffington Post reported that a high percentage of homeopathic users in India would “not switch to conventional treatments,” while even physicians around the world are increasingly turning to homeopathic drugs as “alternative” treatments.

When asked if homeopathic drugs are going to be removed from the market, the FDA clarifies on its website that “top concern is patient safety.” (Click to Source)

Feds employ data-driven early warning system in opioid fight

192479c30be64b12b6130f6c74cfa531

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The pain clinic tucked into the corner of a low-slung suburban strip mall was an open secret.

Patients would travel hundreds of miles to see Dr. Andrzej Zielke, eager for what authorities described as a steady flow of prescriptions for the kinds of powerful painkillers that ushered the nation into its worst drug crisis in history.

At least one of Zielke’s patients died of an overdose, and prosecutors say others became so dependent on oxycodone and other opioids they would crowd his office, sometimes sleeping in the waiting room. Some peddled their pills near tumble-down storefronts and on blighted street corners in addiction-plagued parts of Allegheny County, where deaths by drug overdose reached record levels last year.

But Robert Cessar, a longtime federal prosecutor, was unaware of Zielke until Justice Department officials handed him a binder of data that, he said, confirmed what pill-seekers from as far away as Ohio and Virginia already knew. The doctor who offered ozone therapy and herbal pain remedies was also prescribing highly addictive narcotics to patients who didn’t need them, according to an indictment charging him with conspiracy and unlawfully distributing controlled substances.

Zielke denied he was overprescribing, telling AP he practiced alternative medicine and many of his patients stopped seeing him when he cut down on pain pills.

His indictment in October was the first by a nationwide group of federal law enforcement officials that, armed with new access to a broader array of prescription drug databases, Medicaid and Medicare figures, coroners’ records and other numbers compiled by the Justice Department, aims to stop fraudulent doctors faster than before.

The department is providing a trove of data to the Opioid Fraud and Abuse Detection Unit, which draws together authorities in 12 regions across the country, that shows which doctors are prescribing the most, how far patients will travel to see them and whether any have died within 60 days of receiving one of their prescriptions, among other information.

Authorities have been going after so-called “pill mills” for years, but the new approach brings additional federal resources to bear against the escalating epidemic. Where prosecutors would spend months or longer building a case by relying on erratic informants and only limited data, the number-crunching by analysts in Washington provides information they say lets them quickly zero in on a region’s top opioid prescribers.

“This data shines a light we’ve never had before,” Cessar said. “We don’t need to have confidential informants on the street to start a case. Now, we have someone behind a computer screen who is helping us. That has to put (doctors) on notice that we have new tools.”

And Rod Rosenstein, deputy attorney general, told AP the Justice Department will consider going after any law-breaker, even a pharmaceutical company, as it seeks to bring more cases and reduce the number of unwarranted prescriptions.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been in lock-step with President Donald Trump about the need to combat the drug abuse problem that claimed more than 64,000 lives in 2016, a priority that resonates with Trump’s working-class supporters who have seen the ravages of drug abuse first-hand. The president called it a public health emergency, a declaration that allows the government to redirect resources in various ways to fight opioid abuse.

But he directed no new federal money to deal with a scourge that kills nearly 100 people a day, and critics say his efforts fall short of what is needed. The Republican-controlled Congress doesn’t seem eager to put extra money toward the problem.

While the effectiveness of the Trump administration’s broader strategy remains to be seen, the Justice Department’s data-driven effort is one small area where federal prosecutors say they can have an impact.

The data analysis provides clues about who may be breaking the law that are then corroborated with old-fashioned detective work — tips from informants or undercover office visits, said Shawn A. Brokos, a supervisory special agent in the FBI’s Pittsburgh division. Investigators can also get a sense for where displaced patients will turn next.

Authorities acknowledge there are legitimate reasons for some doctors to prescribe large quantities of opioids, and high prescribing alone doesn’t necessarily trigger extra scrutiny. What raises red flags for investigators are the dentists, psychiatrists and gynecologists who are prescribing at surprisingly high rates.

The effort operates on the long-held perception that drug addiction often starts with prescriptions from doctors and leads to abuse of more dangerous black market drugs like fentanyl, which, for the first time last year, contributed to more overdose deaths than any other legal or illegal drug, surpassing pain pills and heroin.

But that focus can cause law-abiding physicians to abandon disabled patients who rely on prescriptions, for fear of being shut down, said University of Alabama addiction researcher Stefan Kertesz. Those patients will turn to harder street drugs or even kill themselves, he said.

“The professional risk for physicians is so high that the natural tendency is to get out of the business of prescription opioids at all,” he said.

Another addiction expert, Dr. Andrew Kolodny, founder of Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing, said prosecutors’ emphasis on “drug-dealing doctors” is appropriate but inadequate on its own.

“It’s just not really going to have that much of an impact on an epidemic,” he said. The bigger change will come from a stronger push for prevention and treatment, he said. And, he added, “They should go after the bigger fish…. the legal narcotics distributors and wholesalers who have literally been getting away with mass manslaughter.”

Investigators said Zielke charged $250 a visit and made patients pay in cash. But Zielke said prosecutors unfairly targeted him. Instead of more prosecutions, he said, the government “should promote more alternative therapies,” he said. “And they should find out why so many people have pain.”

A second indictment by the anti-fraud unit involved a cardiologist in Elko, Nevada, accused of routinely providing patients fentanyl and other painkillers they did not need. Justice officials hope to expand the data-driven work nationwide.

Will it work? As Soo Song, who watched addiction warp communities while serving as acting U.S. attorney in western Pennyslvania, put it: “The best measure of success will be if fewer people die.” (Click to Source)

New era opens in California with first sales of recreational marijuana

920x920

It was six hours past midnight, but the crowd inside the Berkeley Patients Group counted down the seconds.

“Happy New Year,” they yelled at precisely 6 a.m. as a cashier rang up the cost of three joints, a $45.37 purchase representing one of the first recreational marijuana sales in the state.

The moment marked the launch of a new industry in California, one that’s heavily regulated and taxed, with revenue reaching several billion dollars per year.

The day has been long anticipated by cannabis advocates who pushed for voters to pass Proposition 64 in November 2016, largely decriminalizing marijuana and allowing for the commercial sale of products to adults 21 or older.

Earlier, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin and Democratic state Sen. Nancy Skinner joined a couple dozen people outside the Berkeley Patients Group waiting for the first sales.

“I’m stoked about this historic moment not just for Berkeley but for the state of California.” Arreguin said. “This is a long time coming.”

The first buyers were Chris Conrad and Mikki Norris, longtime marijuana advocates who purchased the three joints as the crowd cheered.

The couple had worked to on the marijuana effort for over two decades, pushed by their belief that its legalization is an issue that expands to social justice, civil rights and health care. (Click to Source)

America: Home of the HUMAN LAB RATS … Why prescription medications are mostly unsafe chemical experiments that worsen overall health

white-mouse-rat-lab-e1514548778309

Most people think it’s completely normal to take prescription medications, believing that our bodies need synthetic, lab-made chemicals to balance or help control bodily functions or biological processes that aren’t performing properly. What other choices do we have, after all?

Put it this way: Medical doctors go to college for eight years to learn how to juggle multiple medications while reading all of your symptoms with fancy technological diagnostic tests, so shouldn’t you just shut the heck up and do what you’re told, when you’re told, without asking annoying, invasive questions that will most likely have boondoggles for answers?

How many people, after all, are not taking at least one medication for anxiety, depression, inflammation, cholesterol, blood pressure, insomnia or pain?

Actually, there are plenty of us, because we know that “Western” medicine isn’t really medicine at all, but symptom-cover-up chemicals for deeper rooted problems that almost always stem from what we eat, drink and put on our bodies.

Are you a “drug abuser” when you simply take the drugs prescribed to you by a medical doctor?

Prescription drugs and their abuse in America date back over a century. It all started with a concoction made with alcohol and opium called Laudanum. Yes, it was a pain “remedy” that doctors cross-prescribed for anxiety, sleeplessness, diarrhea or incessant coughing. Sound familiar?

It was quite addictive, as any watered-down heroin can be. Since women in the 1800s in America were prohibited from drinking at taverns and saloons, they simply went to the doctor for treatment for cramps or emotional problems, and voila!

Currently, about 35 million people abuse opioids worldwide. Unintentional overdoses have quadrupled since 2000. Thanks to drugs like oxycodone (think of Percocet) and hydrocodone (think of Vicodin), the U.S. is the biggest consumer of deadly prescription painkillers.

Did you know that for the past 15 years, death certificates have listed opioid analgesic poisoning as the cause of death more often than cocaine or heroin?

Maybe you’re just addicted to soda, though. Did you know that a doctor invented Coca Cola, but in the process jump-started his own morphine addiction when he added cocaine to this new drink and sold it at a pharmacy in Atlanta during the Civil War? Ask your doctor if soda and addictive, deadly, heroin-based prescription drugs are right for you.

Are you a lab rat in the middle of an extended, insidious experiment being carried out by mad scientists and medical doctors?

Have you been told repeatedly that your health problems are all “genetic?” That’s because doctors want you to believe that there’s no cure, only chemical medication “management.”

Have you been told you have a chemical imbalance in your brain? That’s because you’re consuming chemicals regularly in your food and medicine, including in artificial sweeteners, tap water, prescription medications and vaccinations.

Most prescription drugs and inoculations are never tested for safety or efficacy, but rather are “fast-tracked” through FDA and CDC approval when pharma lobbyists pay regulators millions of dollars to just say “yes.”

In most other instances, scientific “testing” is simply faked, flawed, altered and skewed to produce the results the pharma companies need to make profits and spread more disease and disorder (think of the Swine flu and Zika virus vaccines here).

Even the yearly flu shot is one huge, dangerous medical experiment that the CDC admits is often a failure. Maybe the reason you need prescription medications is because you’re taking prescription medications. Think about that for a minute.

Now do the math: If the flu shot is a hoax, and prescribed painkillers kill millions of people, then do you really believe your prescription medications, which are dished out by the same rogue doctors and scientists, are given with your “good health” in mind?

Let’s take an inside look at what all the American “lab rats” are experiencing.

Chantix (stop-smoking medication) can cause suicidal thoughts. Nexium can cause inflammation of your kidneys and vitamin deficiencies. Vasotec can ruin your liver. Xanax is extremely addictive and abrupt stoppage can cause seizures. Plavix can cause you to cough up blood. Lipitor can break down your muscles, and can cause kidney failure and long-term nerve problems.

Should we continue?

Mirapex gives some people hallucinations and causes memory gaps. Ambien can cause impaired thinking. Risperdal can give you muscle tremors and uncontrolled movements (drive recklessly much?). Klonopin can make depression symptoms worse, adding in suicidal thoughts and addiction. Actos and Avandia heighten the risk of heart attacks and bladder cancer.

Hey America … picture yourself blindfolded, drugged up and running through a rigged maze with dangerous traps and no exits. This is the world of flu shots, prescription medications, genetically modified food and fluoridated tap water. It’s time to go organic and natural for good. Talk to a naturopathic physician and question anything that has side effects worse than the condition you’re considering treating. Then research the power of natural remedies at NaturalPedia.com. Remember, you don’t have to be a lab rat! (Click to Source)
