Flooding in the Midwest is posing a risk of contamination to more than 1 million private wells that supply drinking water to rural areas in the region, The Associated Press reported Tuesday.

The AP reported that the National Ground Water Association, a trade group, said there are 1.1 million private wells in 300 flooded counties across 10 states in the Midwest.

Those states are Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin, according to the AP.

Flooding creates the possibility that water from the flood will get into the wells and contaminate the water.

Flooding creates the possibility that water from the flood will get into the wells and contaminate the water.

Liesa Lehmann, the private-water section chief for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, told the AP that any wells within a flood area “are certainly going to be vulnerable to contamination.”

“Anyone who has a private well within a flood plain area of a major river, those wells are certainly going to be vulnerable to contamination,” Lehmann said.

Lehmann added that well owners should assume that their drinking water is contaminated if they see floodwater near or over their wells.

Chuck Job, the National Ground Water Association’s regulatory affairs manager, told the AP that when the flooding is over, the well water should be pumped out and the well should be disinfected. The water should then be tested to ensure that it’s safe to drink, Job added. (Click to Source)

Let’s talk about food SHORTAGE: US grain bins collapse under catastrophic Iowa floods

After millions of dead calves in Nebraska, now thousands of tons of grain lost in Iowa! Flood waters are causing havoc in some mid-western states – Iowa; Illinois; Missouri; Kansas; South Dakota; Minnesota; and Nebraska – and have resulted in an estimated $3 billion in damages so far. The video below by Iowa resident Gracie Newman shows just a fraction of the losses that have been incurred as a result of the unprecedented flooding.

As can be seen from the video, at this location alone, at least five bins have burst, destroying thousands of tons of grain.

Rising water levels have breached levees along the Missouri River and forced several towns to evacuate.

It was also reported that in the state of Nebraska (west of Iowa) the flooding has already caused more than $1 billion in damages, with more than 2,000 homes and 340 businesses lost.

Missouri Bin Collapse

In a separate incident, a grain bin which was reportedly holding 21,591t – or 850,000 bushels – of corn collapsed in the state of Missouri, in the early hours of Monday, March 11.

GRAIN BIN

The grain was washed onto a nearby road and also blocked a railway line once its container’s walls split. No one was injured in the incident, which happened at a Bunge plant in LaGrange, Missouri. (Click to Source)

Brace For A Slushy Commute In The Twin Cities, Blizzard Conditions Far North

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesotans are bracing for the season’s first snow, which will fall during Friday morning’s commute in the Twin Cities and leave some communities up north with up to eight inches of snow.

The wintry weather blasted into northwestern Minnesota around noontime Thursday on the back of strong winds.

The storm system is expected to move south overnight and settle over the metro area around 5 a.m. Those waking up for the morning commute should expect to deal with sloppy snow and the annual traffic headache it brings.

Wet snow will likely fall in the Twin Cities through most of the day Friday before the system moves out of Minnesota around 9 p.m. Current models show that the Twin Cities will get around 2.5 inches of snow, which will struggle to accumulate on the warm ground.

If the metro gets a little more than 2.5 inches, it’ll be an October snowfall record.

Outside the metro, more snow is expected.

Just west of the Twin Cities, a large swath of central Minnesota looks to see anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of snow, with up to 5 inches possible near Brainerd. Most of the state is under a winter weather advisory.

Extreme northern Minnesota is under a winter storm warning. Communities along the Canadian border could see up to 8 inches of snow and experience blizzard conditions, with wind gusts as strong as 60 mph.

Looking ahead, the weekend looks to be cool, with below-average temperatures. The cooldown will linger into the workweek, but Halloween night looks to be dry. (Click to Source)

Belle Plaine Allows Satanic Monument In City Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A small Minnesota town is getting a lot of attention for a Satanic monument coming to their veterans park.

The monument going up for The Satanic Temple — which features an upturned helmet atop a black cube — will soon be at the site of the Veterans Memorial Park in Belle Plaine.

It is being built by a group of Satanists out of Massachusetts, and it will be the first Satanic monument on public property in United States history.

The city is allowing the monument to be built after a religious freedom group threatened to sue over another statue, which features a soldier praying over a grave marked with a cross.

City officials say the memorial, which is not inside the park yet, is finished, but they are still working out a date for when it will go in.

It has to be put in a small area called “The Free Speech Zone.” It is an area designated to 10 or fewer memorials, as long as they honor veterans.

“They said they were putting it up and I did not like it,” said resident Donna Karnitz. (Click to Site)

Catholics To Rally In Prayer Against First Satanic Monument On Public Land In U.S. History

Where are the true Biblical Born Again Believers while “Rome is on Fire”? Oh I forgot, the modern day Church is in love with the world. Sin and Satanism is taking over this land!

Catholics in Minnesota will gather to ask for God’s protection and to pray against the nation’s first Satanic monument approved for display on public land.

Lay members of the Catholic church will gather July 15 for a rosary rally to pray for America’s protection from Satan, in light of a Satanic monument approved in May for display in a veterans memorial park in Belle Plaine, Minn. The monument, a large black steel cube engraved with a golden inverted pentagram topped with an upturned soldier’s helmet, is the first such monument approved for display on public grounds in the U.S. The rosary rally is organized by America Needs Fatima (ANF) and Return to Order (RTO), two campaign branches of a Catholic lay organization called Tradition, Family, and Property.

“The best way that Satan can accomplish his mission of luring souls into damnation is to erode the horror, the natural horror, that men have of the devil,” said Robert Ritchie, director of America Needs Fatima, in an interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Once that natural horror is eroded, the devil has a better chance of having people accept his presence. So our job as Catholics is to remind people of the truth that they already know — that Satan is our ultimate enemy who wants our ultimate failure in life and who wants to destroy the purpose of life which is to correspond to God’s plan for each person and to go to Heaven. And the devil wants people not to live according to God’s plan and wants them to go to Hell,” Ritchie said.

The co-founder of The Satanic Temple, Lucien Greaves, said in an interview withThe New York Times, eroding man’s horror to Satan is one of the goals of installing the monument.

“We wouldn’t be doing this if it didn’t mean something to us,” Greaves said. “The more we do these types of things, the less shocking this will be as time goes by.”

ANF and RTO have no plans to pursue legal actions, but instead will focus on prayer and fasting to combat Satanic influence in America. (Click to Site)
