200 ex-LGBT men, women rally to show freedom they’ve found in following Jesus

Doug Mainwaring

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 27, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Ex-homosexual and ex-transgender men and women from around the country descended upon the Nation’s Capital this weekend for the Second Annual ‘Freedom March’ where they proclaimed the freedom they’ve found in abandoning homosexual and transgender practices.

“Look at this!  This is Amazing!  They say we don’t exist!” declared author and documentary producer M.J. Nixon, a March co-founder, as many gathered for a group picture.  About 200 participated this year—a threefold increase over last year.

Former transwoman Jeffrey McCall kicked off the rally on the grounds of the Washington Monument, explaining that nobody here was forced to change; “It was the power of the Holy Spirit and the grace of Jesus Christ that fell on all of us.”

One testimony after another from the racially diverse group of mostly millennials spoke about their personal conversion to Jesus and the freedom they have found from lives dominated by active homosexuality or gender dysphoria.

Our identity is not in our sexuality; it is in Jesus Christ

Angel Colon, who survived the Pulse Nightclub massacre Orlando, Florida where 49 died, told his harrowing conversion story which began that night three years ago.

“As I lay on the ground shot multiple times —couldn’t move— I said to the Lord, ‘I am not leaving this building dead tonight,’” recounted Colon.

“You promised me I have a purpose in life.  You promised my Mom that the baby inside of her womb was special and [You] had a purpose for his life,” he said. “I am not leaving here dead, Lord; I am leaving here alive and when I do, I am going to worship you for the rest of my life.”

Colon has kept his promise to God, traveling the world preaching about the freedom he has found in Jesus Christ.

“That promise was not easy at all, but look at today,” said Colon.  “Look at all these overcomers here, celebrating that there is change in Jesus Christ.”

Colon explained that the true meaning of deliverance and freedom is being able to look at temptation in the eye and say, “I don’t want you, I want Jesus.”

“That’s how you know you are free,” he added.  “Our identity is not in our sexuality; it is in Jesus Christ.”

“It wasn’t a ‘gay to straight’ thing; It was a ‘lost to saved’ thing.”

A second Pulse Nightclub survivor, Luis Ruiz, said that like many of the people participating in the March the reason why he was there is ultimately because he had a “mother and a father that never compromised the Gospel.”

“They prayed and prayed and believed not in my situation, but in my destiny, my identity found in Christ Jesus.”

“It wasn’t a ‘gay to straight’ thing,” said Ruiz, “It was a ‘lost to saved’ thing.”

“We were all born into sin, baby,” continued Ruiz.  “Even though I might be tempted every day, I choose Jesus.”

“He’s the only man in my life,” he added.  “I chose ‘Him’ over ‘him.’”

“I thank God for this Freedom March.  I thank God for what he is doing in our nation’s capital.  As a combat veteran of fifteen years in the United States Army, today I go to war with you guys,” said Ruiz pointing to the crowd.

“This is a new day, baby,” he exclaimed.

After the rally, the group marched around the Washington Monument, across the Constitution Avenue to the Ellipse, and back, chanting, “The Lion of the God of Judah is roaring, he’s roaring, to set the captives free.”  (Click to Source)

How America Just Built an Altar for Satanic Worship

By David Hoffman

Things are shifting in America before our eyes. The state of New York recently passed a bill legalizing abortion right up the moment of birth. The name of the bill was the Reproductive Health Act. It had previously been blocked for years when Republicans controlled the State Senate in New York. Because the Democrats recently took both houses in the New York legislature, it was quickly passed. The Senate passed it 38-24. In the Assembly, it passed by a 92-47 margin. Gov. Cuomo quickly signed into law Tuesday night.

This is an ominous sign concerning the direction of abortion in our country. This bill could play a role in opening the floodgates in the future, as inevitably, other states begin to follow New York’s lead. We cannot take the passing of this bill lightly. Some people may argue that the pro-life movement is stronger than ever, however, just days ago an Iowa judge struck down a state law banning a woman from obtaining an abortion once a fetus’ heartbeat is detected, saying it violated the state’s constitution. There is still a very strong, vocal and bold resistance to the pro-life movement. We must remember that the legalization of gay marriage began with one state which then led to other states adopting similar laws. We have no future guarantee that the same trend will not occur regarding abortion laws in our nation.

As Christians, we have an obligation to stand in the gap for the helpless, and the most helpless lives are the lives of the unborn. Abortion is not just a societal issue. It is not just a cultural issue. Abortion is a moral issue, and all moral issues, at the end of the day, are actually spiritual issues.

When we look at abortion purely from a spiritual lens, abortion is satanic worship. There is truly no way around this reality, and in the following paragraphs, I will explain why this is so.

If we as believers are to be in the truth and in the light, we have to acknowledge abortion for what it really is: the shedding of innocent blood.

The shedding of innocent blood is a clear violation of the fourth commandment, which states in Exodus 20:13, “You shall not murder.” Proverbs 6:17b also says God hates “hands that shed innocent blood.” The right to life is the most valuable right that has been given to any human being by the Creator. This is why from the beginning of human history, the devil has sought to twist people’s hearts and to tempt them to murder. Murder is always inspired by Satan, whether it be in the womb or outside of it. The shedding of innocent blood is a form of satanic worship. It honors Satan. It never honors God.

Many pagan cultures throughout history had child sacrifice as part of worship to their gods. They would sacrifice children to idols in the hope that it would bring favor, blessing and a better life. The modern abortion industry, at its heart, is no different from the child-sacrifice rituals of the ancient world and pagan cultures. The only difference is that in ancient times they didn’t sacrifice children while they were still in their mother’s womb.

In 2004, the Guttmacher Institute anonymously surveyed 1,209 post-abortive women from nine different abortion clinics across the country. Of the women surveyed, 957 provided a main reason for having an abortion. 92.5 percent of those survey gave purely selfish reasons for why they decided to have an abortion. That means that 92.5 percent of these children were sacrificed in the hope that it would result in a better life for the mother.

We as believers cannot allow culture and the mainstream media to define abortion in our minds. Abortion truly is not an issue of reproductive rights or women’s health. An extremely small percentage of abortions are performed to save the life of the mother. Half of one percent of abortions are done because of rape or incest. The majority of abortions occur because it is the most convenient option for a woman who does not want deal with the consequences of having a child.

The Old Testament deals with this topic of child sacrifice. In biblical times, one of the gods mentioned throughout the Old Testament was Molech. This was a god of the Canaanites and Ammonites. One of the primary ways ancient cultures showed worship to this god was to sacrifice children to it. They would place the children in the idol’s metal hands, which had been heated up to the point that they were red and smoldering hot, or they would just throw the children into the fire pit below the idol.

God judged Israel harshly for participating in this satanic ritual. Jeremiah 32:35-36 says that Israel offered up its sons and daughters to Molech and that God would judge and lead the nation into captivity for doing so. There are other instances where God warns Israel about participating in this practice. It is not a one-time occurrence.

Psalm 106 says, “They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them. They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood. They defiled themselves by what they did.”

Instead of sacrificing children on an altar to Molech, today, children are sacrificed on the altar to “self.”Therefore, there truly is no way around calling abortion what it really is. It is satanic worship. Satanic worship, in essence, is the love of self above all others. This is what abortion is. Abortion is the love of self above the love of the child that has been conceived. It is an abomination in God’s eyes.

This struggle against the abortion industry will be a long-haul in our nation. This struggle does not look as though it will end soon. We as believers must stand up against abortion and stand for the lives of the unborn. We must always speak unashamedly concerning the issue while conducting ourselves lovingly with those on the other side.

We cannot back down on this issue. We must stand steadfastly for the lives of the unborn. We cannot afford to be on the wrong side of history concerning this issue. Abortion is a moral issue. It is a spiritual issue. As believers, we must understand that there is a real spiritual battle for the lives of the unborn, the lives of the mothers aborting them, and for the future laws of our nation. Our voices matter. Our votes matter.

Ultimately, abortion also hurts the mother who aborts her child. Jesus Christ offers grace and forgiveness to whoever comes to Him in humility and repentance, no matter how big the mistake.

So, as we stand boldly, uncompromisingly, and with the full conviction of truth and righteousness on our side, let us also stand in grace and love as we minister to those who are considering abortion or have already had one.

May we not give up. May we not be discouraged. May we not water down the truth about abortion. And may we one day see an end to abortion in the United States, by the grace of God. (Click to Source)

Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord?

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.

Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day. (Isaiah 58:3-10King James Version (KJV) Public Domain

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. (Luke 10:30-37King James Version (KJV) Public Domain

All About Baptism

what-is-the-gospel

Baptism.  Is it required for salvation?  This is a topic that is often glossed over, but when it does come up tends to generate some of the most heated debates.  After all, a topic pertinent to whether or not someone is saved is going to cause some pretty strong friction between Believers.  As with all things, we need to discuss winsomely and lovingly and test everything with Scripture.  I’ve been on both sides of this debate and two things I’ve learned are first, baptism is a commanded ordinance and Christians need to immediately obey the command regardless of whether or not they think it is necessary, and second, since it can be a very touchy subject, we need to listen to and love one another well when we talk about it.  Satan seeks to accuse, condemn, and divide, but God seeks for us to unite around truth and lift one another up in love.  The goal in anything is never to persuade someone or win an argument, but to find out the truth of a matter together.

I grew up in the Church of Christ (a.k.a. Stone-Campbell Movement) and the necessity of water baptism for salvation was always highlighted as a core Christian doctrine right up there with One God and the Gospel.  Rarely did a Sunday go by without a spirited Acts 2:38 defense of the need for full H2O immersion.  For most of my Christian life I fervently held to that same belief and defended it with all the zeal I could muster.  There were five or six go-to Scriptures I and others would routinely use to demonstrate what we thought was the absolute truth of the matter (Acts 2:38 chief among them).  Now to be clear, this doctrine is not just the domain of Campbellites.  Many evangelicals who are quick to condemn this belief as outright, anti-sola fide, anathema heresy would be surprised to know that the Church at large has held to one form or another of this doctrine for most of its history.  Some of the original Protestant Reformers, including Luther himself, held to the necessity of the physical act of baptism.

Before you label baptism as a “work” and all of its doctrinal adherents unsaved heretics, I would encourage you to consider that, at least from a Protestant perspective, baptism is not viewed as a work or something that “earns” you salvation, but is simply seen as the way in which a Believer receives the grace offered through the propitiatory death of Christ.  It is still only the death and resurrection of Christ that are viewed as what justifies.  They generally view baptism as merely the salvific appeal to God (1 Peter 3:21) and therefore they view the moment they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation as happening simultaneously with water baptism.  Thus it is viewed as the correct method in which to receive Christ as opposed to an altar call, sinner’s prayer, or a laying on of hands. JESUS IS KNOCKING AT THE DOOR – David Wilkerson Today – THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 2014

JESUS IS KNOCKING AT THE DOOR
by David Wilkerson
[May 19, 1931 – April 27, 2011]

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do”
(John 8:44).

Christ spoke these words to a religious crowd who thought they were good in
God’s eyes. They were outwardly clean and religious but inwardly they were
full of lust, sensuality, fornication, covetousness.

There is a sickness called sin-sickness that strikes the children of the devil.
The deeper in sin a person falls, the more critical this sickness becomes. It
reaches its peak when sin suddenly loses its pleasure, becoming boring and
unfulfilling.

Sin-sickness drove a famous young TV star to suicide. The actor was starring in
a hit series and making a fortune. He had just signed contracts to star in
movies and was dating a beautiful actress. He had fame, fortune and good
health.

But then his lifeless body was found in a cheap porno hotel. Apparently, none
of the world’s pleasures had satisfied him. His life had become empty,
meaningless, and suicide finally ended it all. He died as a result of
sin-sickness!

If you have never given your life to Jesus, then up to now the devil has had
complete control over you. He has ruled and reigned over your life. But perhaps
now Satan sees a change coming over you and he knows he is losing his hold on
you.

Sin has suddenly lost its sweet taste to you. You do not go to the evil places
you once frequented and you are not as anxious to party anymore. Money no
longer satisfies you, and neither do sex or possessions. You feel a growing
emptiness inside you.

And now here you are, reading this message. Perhaps you have become willing to
read the Bible. Nobody is making you do it; something inside is urging you to
pick it up.

Dear one, right now Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, and the devil
knows it. And the one thing Satan fears most is that you will open the door to
Christ!
