Rome’s Revision Of The Lord’s Prayer And The Coming Hour Of Testing

Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

12 And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

14 And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.

15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the Lord spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,

18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

20 But the Lord hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.

21 Furthermore the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:

22 But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.

23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee.

24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

25 When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the Lord thy God, to provoke him to anger:

26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

27 And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you.

28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;

31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him.

36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

37 And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;

38 To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lordhe is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.

41 Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

42 That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live:

43 Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.

44 And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:

45 These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt.

46 On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:

47 And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

48 From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,

49 And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah.  (Deuteronomy 4 :1 49King James Version (KJV) Public Domain

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (Revelation 22:1-21King James Version (KJV) Public Domain

The Pope in Rome seems to think that he can change the Word of Yahweh-God. Yahweh’s-God word says that it can not be changed without dire consequences. The traditions of Man are being use to trump the Bible. We are seeing the Rise of the Anti-Christ.

If you regularly check the headlines, then you may have read about the Vatican’s efforts to revise a particular verse in what is commonly called “The Lord’s Prayer.” Led by Pope Francis, Rome wants to change the wording of a long-standing translation that has brought a mixture of comfort and confusion to many.

The verse in question can be found in Matthew 6:13 and Luke 11:4, and in the eyes of the Pope and the leaders of the Roman Catholic institution, they believe that “lead us not into temptation” should be reworded to something like “abandon us not when in temptation.” While the Vatican has taken significant time to study ancient versions and do the proper leg work, the faithful student of God’s word should wisely question the purpose and validity of this enterprise.

And for those of us who have studied history, how could we forget the unjust power plays from the Popes of Christmas past? When the majority of Christendom doesn’t know their right from their left when it comes to the Bible, should we just leave this one up to the self-appointed experts of Rome to solve this translational and interpretative puzzle?

By no means should we follow Rome’s lead, or even shrug our shoulders like the rest of the undiscerning world. Instead, let’s apply our minds (the mind of Christ; cf. 1 Cor. 2:14-15) and use the tools available to the true body of Christ in order to separate the wheat from the chaff in this translation controversy.

For starters: What does the text actually say in the earliest surviving Greek manuscripts? Next thought: We should understand that even a literal, word-for-word translation requires some interpretation on the part of the translator. There is a wide semantic range for many words and phrases written in the ancient biblical languages and the variety of English versions attests to this fact. Consequently, the answer is not as simple as what does the Greek say. We must also consider the context of the chapter and book in order to gain a biblically-informed understanding of the inspired author’s intent.

My aim, however, is not to get into the theory of translation or interpretation right now, so I strongly invite you to read this well-written and thorough blog post authored by Dr. Daniel Wallace, a senior Greek professor at Dallas Theological Seminary, entitled “Pope Francis, The Lord’s Prayer, and Bible Translation.” He addressed this controversy a year ago when the Vatican first announced their plans to alter the Lord’s Prayer.

In this post I want to challenge a particular conclusion reached in one of many news outlets reporting on this issue. Michael Dorstewitz, writing for Newsmax, provides an objective piece for the most part, offering several quotes from both Catholic and Protestant leaders. However, the objectivity abruptly ends with this crude summarization:

…in the meantime, the message for all the detractors should be: No, Pope Francis is not rewriting the word of God” (see, “Pope Francis Calls for Change to ‘Lord’s Prayer’ and Critics Go Mad“).

Mr. Dorstewitz’s reply is a great example of an all-too-common attitude in our time: What’s the big deal, so what? Let the Pope change a word or two in order to smooth out a difficult translation and bring unity among Christians. What’s all the fuss about, and why is this news anyway? Nothing to see here, move along.

Well, I beg to differ, because this isn’t the first controversial thing the current Pope has said or done—the leader of the Roman Catholic Church has been rocking the boat and helping to pave the way for a one-world religion ever since he was appointed back in 2013 (for specifics, see Gary’s post, “The Wolf“).

So, on the contrary, Mr. Dorstewitz, Pope Francis is trying to rewrite (re-word, re-interpret) the word of God. Though well-intentioned or not, the Roman Catholic Church is not only twisting the Scripture but also fulfilling end-times prophecy. And there is a tragic irony in the specific verse the Vatican is seeking to emend that relates to Catholics and the coming Tribulation.

…if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit” (Matthew 15:14, ESV).

What Say You, Matthew?

Matthew and Luke are the only biblical authors to record the content of Jesus’ model prayer to the disciples known throughout the world as “The Lord’s Prayer.” Luke appears to have a more condensed version, and so, for the sake of clarity and convenience, we will stick with Matthew’s gospel for our purposes here.

When you survey the English versions for Matthew 6:13, you will discover that virtually everyone follows the lead of the KJV and translates the Greek word peraismos as “temptation.” However, when you look up the word in most Bible lexicons or dictionaries, you’ll find that there is a broad range of meaning available.

For example, I have found three primary definitions in the semantic range for peraismosStrong’s 3986:

(1) Trial
(2) Testing
(3) Temptation

As you can see, these words in isolation evoke different imagery even though they are synonymous. Context, as always, is important in order to narrow down which definition in the semantic range is appropriate for any given verse. Therefore, it is possible that some of the confusion surrounding Matthew 6:13 could be resolved if more Christians understood that the ideas of “testing” and “trial” are legitimate English translations for peraismos.

Nevertheless, some will still confuse this verse in the Lord’s Prayer with James 1:13. On this alleged contradiction please refer to Dr. Wallace’s article linked above. When peraismos is used with God or Satan as the subject, Dr. Wallace makes an important theological point of distinction, “God tests; Satan tempts.”

But the Pope along with many others will object, “God would never lead or bring anyone into temptation, that’s the Devil’s job.” Oh, really? So God would never lead, bring, or send someone to be peraismoed [tested, tried, tempted, etc.]? Well, as it turns out, we don’t have to go very far to answer that rebuttal. Just turn back a couple of pages to chapter 4:

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted [Grk. peraismos] by the Devil…” (Matthew 4:1, HCSB).

And, there you have it: Led up by the Spirit…of God. It was God who led Jesus into the desert to be tempted. Now, if you can accept that God led Jesus into temptation, or to be tempted, then how does this affect our interpretation of the controversial verse in the Lord’s Prayer?

To further clarify this crucial literary connection within Matthew’s gospel, here is Dr. Wallace’s brief comment on Matthew 6:13 found in one of his Greek textbooks:

Although the KJV renders [Matt. 6:13] ‘deliver us from evil,’ the presence of the article indicates not evil in general, but the evil one himself. In the context of Matthew’s Gospel, such deliverance from the devil seems to be linked to Jesus’ temptation in 4:1-10: Because the Spirit led him into temptation by the evil one, believers now participate in his victory” (in Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics, pg. 233).

And it’s little wonder why many Christians, or so-called Christians, misunderstand this verse in the Lord’s Prayer. The reason is they are confused about the very gospel itself. To conclude, here are some of Dr. Wallace’s most powerful statements in his response to the Pope Francis debacle:

…the temptation that the Lord faced was the ultimate temptation—the offer of the entire world on a platter. Jesus can ask the disciples to pray that the Father would not lead them into temptation and that God would deliver them from the evil one precisely because Jesus himself faced the ultimate temptation by the evil one…[i]t is precisely because of Jesus’ substitutionary death and life that this prayer can be recited today by Christians with the full assurance that God will answer us. Pope Francis’s translation, however, subverts all this…[t]he original text speaks clearly of God leading, not permitting. To tamper with the wording misses the connection with the Lord’s temptation.”

Now then. I’ve shown you how Pope Francis and his cohorts at the Vatican are twisting the Scripture and thereby polluting the waters of the true gospel once again. They are the blind leading the blind. But how is the pontiff also fulfilling end-times prophecy by this latest move?

The Final Exam

The terrible irony in all of this mistranslation mess is the fact that the leader of the largest group of Christians worldwide has no clue that the LORD will not only lead him and the rest of the non-born-again Catholics into temptation, Jesus says most explicitly that He will throw them into the ultimate time of testing—the Tribulation:

Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death…” (Revelation 2:22-23, NKJV).

Do you see the irony in all of this?!

The Pope wants to alter Matthew 6:13 and Luke 11:4 and absolve God from leading anyone into testing or temptation. However, truth be told, the Lord Jesus doesn’t simply lead the Roman church into the Tribulation like a shepherd gently guiding his sheep to green pasture, He throws them into the Trib like a diseased sack of potatoes going into a burning trash heap.

Yikes.

But please note: For all who are willing to examine the Scriptures for themselves and follow the lead of the Holy Spirit, even if you identify as a former or current Roman Catholic, there is still hope for exemption from the Final Exam. There is still time…but it is quickly running out.

Look, the first and last uses of the Greek noun peraismos in the New Testament are book-ended by Matthew 6:13 and a shockingly relevant verse in the book of Revelation:

Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing [Grk. peraismos], that hour which is about to come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth” (Revelation 3:10, NASB).

Therefore, you must hear what the Spirit is saying (Rev. 2:293:13) and believe the one and only true gospel of salvation. It’s under heavy attack right now and has been for many centuries. But now that we are nearing the day of the Final Exam, you must examine your beliefs and find out whether or not you are trusting in Christ alone and His finished work alone (Heb. 10:10-13Rev. 2:26, emphasis “My works”).

If you are trusting in the once-and-for-all atoning sacrifice of Jesus, then you are exempt from the Final Exam according to the correct translation and interpretation of Matthew 6:13 and Revelation 3:10. Rest assured, the LORD will not lead the true body of Christ into the testing period of the Tribulation. We will all be led in another direction—up, up, and away!

After this I looked, and there in heaven was an open door. The first voice [Jesus] that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, ‘Come up here…” (Revelation 4:1, HCSB). (Click to Source)

Mega-Church Pastor: The Ten Commandments No Longer Applicable, Un-hitch From the Old Testament

Andy Stanley, the Mega-Church pastor, located in the suburbs of Atlanta is now claiming that the Ten Commandments are no longer applicable months after previously stating that Christians need to unhitch themselves from the Old Testament.

According to the Pastor, Jesus rendered the Ten Commandments null and void, because He issues a one new law “as a replacement for everything.”

“You’ve heard the story before: A group of Christians puts up a monument of the Ten Commandments in a public space or on government property,” begins Stanley in his article titled, “Why do Christians want to post the Ten Commandments and not the Sermon on the Mount?” “Someone says it violates the separation of church and state. The Christians say taking it down would violate their freedom of speech. There’s some back and forth in court and both sides say some not-so-great things about the other. Rinse and repeat. But how many times have you seen Christians trying to post the text of the sermon on the mount in a public place? Or the all-encompassing commandment Jesus gave us? ‘A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another — John 13:34 The one commandment! Doesn’t have the same ring to it, does it? But if we’re going to create a monument to stand as a testament to our faith, shouldn’t it at least be a monument of something that actually applies to us?”

Stanley then continues that the Ten Commandments are from the ‘Old Covenant,’ which he says; “played a significant role in God’s creation of the nation of Israel. It gave them moral guidelines and helped separate this new nation from their neighbors. This was part of the formal agreement (or covenant) God created with his people, but Jesus’ death and resurrection signaled the end of that covenant and all the rules and regulations associated with it. Jesus didn’t issue his new command as an additional commandment to the existing list of commands. He didn’t say, ‘Here’s the 614th law.’ Jesus issued his new commandment as a replacement for everything in the existing list. Including the big ten. Just as his new covenant replaced the old covenant, Jesus’ new commandment replaced all the old commandments.”

Stanley’s comments directly contradict what Scripture says; In Matthew 5:17-19, Jesus says: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Stanley is teaching his 34,000 member congregation replacement theology. Also, Stanley is teaching his congregation to discard three-quarters of the Bible and only to interpret what’s left.

Furthermore, after Stanley’s stunning commentary he then concludes; “While Jesus was foreshadowed in the old covenant, he did not come to extend it. He came to fulfill it, put a bow on it, and establish something entirely new. The “new” Jesus unleashed made the faith of first-century believers formidable. Their apologetic was irrefutable. Their courage, unquestionable. And the results were remarkable. Dear Christian reader: Why? Why? Why would we even be tempted to reach back beyond the cross to borrow from a covenant that was temporary and inferior to the covenant established for us at Calvary?”

Stanley’s new book, which is available on Amazon, called ‘Irresistible,’ is currently ranked at Amazon as one of the most popular books in the “Church Leadership” category.

The theology presented by the Mega-Church Pastor is precisely what Jesus warned believers about in Matthew 24:5 “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Click to Source)

False prophets and false teachers

To stone or not to stone

Ron Cantor  –

Dan Juster, Ariel Blumenthal and Asher Intrater contributed to this article

Is someone who prophesies mistakenly a “false prophet”? Is someone who teaches in error a “false teacher”? For instance, we believe strongly in the Gifts of the Spirit. If another teacher teaches cessation (the idea that those gifts have ceased), is one of us a false teacher?

We maintain that there is a difference between teaching in error and being a false teacher. A false teacher is teaching false doctrine about Yeshua and leading people away from the true gospel doctrine. It is not merely someone who has made a mistake in his or her theology. If our standard is that we must be 100% right all the time in doctrine, then we all are false teachers to some degree—as we have all changed and/or tweaked our doctrinal understanding over the years.

The New Covenant is clear that false teachers and false prophets are not those who merely made a mistake, but are deceivers.

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. (1 Peter 2:1)

Yeshua gave us a clear warning about the emergence of false prophets in the End Times:

And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many…(they)will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:11, 24)

false prophet in the New Covenant is not a believer who loves Yeshua, preaches the Gospel, moves in the power of the Holy Spirit, and is a recognized leader of the Body of Messiah, and yet happens to make a predictive prophecy that does not come to pass! (That’s just one way we might prophecy incorrectly).

This might have happened because they allowed their hopes and emotions to boil over, resulting in a kind of presumption—or for any other number of reasons. Biblically, a false prophet is an unbeliever (or former believer!) using demonic inspiration to draw people away from God and faith in Yeshua. The Torah also makes it clear that the primary issue was prophets/teachers whose words would lead the people astray, to abandon their faith and follow after “other gods.” (Deut. 13:1-5; 18:9-22)

Under Moses there were two ways to identify a false prophet.

  1. He spoke in the name of other gods.
  2. His word did not come to pass.

But in the New Testament Yeshua says, referring to false prophets:

By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?  Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. (Matt. 7:16-18)

So, again, when we speak of false prophets were not speaking of believers who preach Yeshua and have long lasting fruit in the kingdom—but one time publicly gave a presumptuous word, but rather we are speaking about cult leaders like David Koresh, Jim Jones or Charles Manson. In most cases the false prophet claims to be a messiah or the Messiah.

Let’s take a closer look at how the Scriptures teach this whole idea of prophecy under the New Covenant versus the Old.

New Testament Prophet/Prophecy

Revelation contains an important statement about the true nature of prophecy since Yeshua’s death, resurrection, ascension and outpouring of the Spirit. John sees the return of Yeshua and the wedding supper of the Lamb. An angel rebukes John for seeking to worship him and says:

“Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy.” (Rev. 19:10)

What does this mean? “For the testimony of Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy.”

This is a fundamental difference between Old and New Covenant prophecy: We prophesy to confirm the Gospel, the message of His life, the cross, resurrection, ascension, the new birth and indwelling and empowering of the Holy Spirit to all who believe, and the hope of His Second Coming to fully establish the Kingdom on earth…we have the full, prophetic revelation of everything God wants men to know in order to be saved!

Before Yeshua fulfilled all of these prophetic acts, the prophets:

…searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Messiah in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Messiah and the glories that would follow. (1 Peter 1:10-11)

By the Holy Spirit, the best the Old Testament prophets could do was to search for and predict the timing and nature of the events of the coming of the Messiah. But for us, we got it! It’s happened, it’s been preached, passed down and recorded in Holy Scripture.  When we respond to that prophetic message—Yeshua can save you—the Spirit of the Messiah himself causes us to be “born again” from above; and then the Holy Spirit makes His home in us, giving us an “anointing from the Holy One,” which leads us into all truth. (1 John 2:20, John 16:13).

This means that NT prophecy, and the gift/office of prophet is not what it used to be! We no longer predict the coming of Messiah, we proclaim it and prophetically call all men embrace it.

The Rock Comes Forth

Just look at Simon Peter (Rock) after Shavuot (Pentecost). Only 10 days earlier he still didn’t understand the gospel (see Acts 1:6-7), but moments after his immersion in the Holy Spirit, he speaks by the Spirit mysteries that had been hidden.

He quotes Joel about the outpouring. He quotes prophecies of King David, showing they were referring to the resurrection and the deity of Yeshua. He speaks like a world class theologian.

Seeing what was to come, [King David] spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.  God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. (Acts 2:31-33)

Where is the man who is rebuking Yeshua for saying that he was going to be crucified? Where is the disciple who denied Yeshua three times? Peter is uneducated, but through the spirit of prophecy, he shares the testimony of Yeshua.

In Acts 3, after the healing the crippled man, he speaks of the end times in the most marvelous way.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Yeshua.  Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. (3:19-21)

And before the Sanhedrin he was so intense and overpowering, they said:

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13)

Please go back and read Acts 2-4 and be amazed at how the Holy Spirt works through the uneducated Peter.

But what about False Prophets in the New Covenant?

The phrase false prophet is used 11 times in the New Testament, and it neverrefers to a believer. There is the False Prophet of the antichrist and Bar Jesus of Acts 13, “a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right!”and he was “seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.” (v. 8)

The other references refer to false messiahs and deceivers of the truth. Never, not once, is a child of God referred to as a false prophet—and yet, we know that every believer was encouraged to prophesy (1 Cor. 14:1). So, if one claims that someone who makes a mistake in prophecy is a false prophet, they are claiming that he is an unbeliever, presently and always, in line with the devil, seeking to deceive the body—despite repentance, loving Yeshua and bearing fruit for the kingdom—which is absurd.

Furthermore, we must ask ourselves: are prophecy and prophets exactly the same under the New Covenant as the Old Covenant? If so, should one who prophesies presumptuously be put to death? (Duet. 18:20). If that is our conclusion, then a host of others should be killed. But there is a clear difference.

Every Believer Should Seek to Prophesy

In the Old Covenant, God spoke almost exclusively through prophets. In the New Covenant, every believer is encouraged to seek to prophesy:

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy…the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. (1 Cor. 14:1, 3)

The Greek word translated eagerly desire is zéloó—where we get our word zeal. It is an onomatopoetic word, meaning it sounds like itself (like buzz) and it sounds in Greek like “boiling water”. In other words, we are to be boiling over with zeal for the gifts of the Spirit (as we “follow the way of love”). It should be something we pray for every day.

Now, if someone who makes a mistake in prophecy is then cut off from the Lord and deserving of death, why, then, is the apostle seeking to put the everyday believer in such a precarious and perilous position by encouraging him or her to seek to prophesy? And, yet, we know that under the New Covenant, it is not just prophets who prophesy, but every believer can do so. That is Peter’s meaning in quoting Joel in Acts 2—that God’s Spirit is not just for prophets, but all flesh, meaning, any believer who is hungry.

Prophecy is an objective word from heaven, but it is highly filtered through the subjective lens of the human vessel—through our emotions, our intellect, our theology,  and even our wounds and presumptions. Paul said, “We look through a glass darkly” and “We know in part and we prophesy in part.” (1 Cor. 13) Paul also says, “If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.” (Romans 12:6) So, there must be the possibility of prophesying beyond your faith or presumptuously, as in Deuteronomy. In such cases, leaders should deal with that, but with the goal of restoration, not repudiation.

Paul says, “Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt, but test them all; hold on to what is good.” (1 Thess. 5:19-21) What about that which is not good—or bad—and the people who falsely or presumptuously prophesied? Did they kill them? Did they label them permanently as false prophets, excommunicating them from the body of believers?  It seems not.

Something has Changed

The argument is very simple. Michael Brown has a chapter in his 2018 book Playing With Holy Fire: A Wake-Up Call to the Pentecostal-Charismatic Church on the problems and pitfalls of prophecy. He simply says that the standards of I Cor. 14 show that other prophets and leaders weigh prophecy in the New Covenant, and there is no hint that there is a penalty for making a mistake.

Obviously, something has changed. It is simply to note that the consensus of the Charismatic and Pentecostal world (and its scholarship) is that New Covenant prophecy does not function in the same way as the Mosaic covenant standards. It is that all might learn to hear from God and that leaders would be responsible to confirm (or not).

Because they did not have the Scriptures in the way that we do today, the word of the prophet was much weightier. A missed word could be the difference between life and death. With the New Covenant and the fuller revelation of Yeshua and the indwelling Holy Spirit, we are less dependent on prophets today—though they are needed—and more dependent on hearing God through His word and in personal time in prayer.

Need for Accountability

Indeed, there are many self-proclaimed prophets who do damage and take advantage of the Lord’s people. There is a horrible lack of accountability when it comes to public prophecy. We must do better! Please do not take this writing as an excuse for the plethora of silliness that is out there when it comes to prophecy and prophets. But we cannot throw out the baby with the bathwater (or drown him for being a false prophet!).

So, are we going to take the position that anyone who is not 100% accurate is a false prophet? Or can one make a mistake, repent and ask God for forgiveness, and seek to grow? Does not God forgive such things? Or, are we then disqualified for life? We are for mercy, but that should not be interpreted as taking prophecy light. It is no small thing to declare that you are speaking for the Lord. And one who does so presumptuously in public should submit to discipline by other leaders.

Tone it Down

One thing we can do is tone down our proclamations. We rarely, if ever, say, “The Lord told me…,” but use language like, “I sense that God might be saying…,” “The Holy Spirit bore witness with my spirit,” or, “I felt led of the Spirit.”

Making proclamations such as “Thus says the Lord…” places one in a precarious position and will rightly invite rebuke if you are wrong. It is always better to tone down the way in which we deliver prophetic words.

Accept for the account of Agabus in Acts 21, we do not see New Testament prophets saying “This is what the Lord says…” Rather, James’ tone, and he was the most senior apostle, is more low key in Acts 15 when he says, “It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us…” (Acts 15:28)

Function of the New Testament Prophet

  • A prophet can know things by the Spirit (Peter knowing that Ananias and Sapphira lied [Acts 5]).
  • He can sense one’s calling by the Spirit (Ananias to Paul [Acts 9] Prophets to Barnabas and Saul [Acts 13:1]).
  • Strengthen the body (Silas and Judas [Acts 15, Eph. 4]).
  • Proclaim the word of God in power. (Many examples such as [Acts 2, 10]).
  • Predict the future (Paul predicts that the false prophet Bar Jesus will be blind [Acts 13] or Agabus predicts a famine [Acts 11:28]).
  • Proclaim judgment on a believer or unbeliever (with Ananias and Sapphira [Acts 5], and Bar Jesus [Acts 13]).
  • Weigh the prophetic words of other prophets and non-prophets (Acts 14).

Final Word

False prophets go to hell or, at least, invite “swift destruction upon themselves” (2 Peter 2:1). They do not go around the world preaching the gospel and loving Yeshua. False prophets lead people away from Yeshua, as do false teachers. Just as a teacher’s doctrine can change over time, and he can make mistakes in his exegesis and hermeneutics, so, too, can a believer make a mistake in prophesy, repent, and be restored.

There can be no question that the New Covenant brings a higher level of mercy in regards to mistakes in prophecy and that believers are never referred to as false prophets. (Click to Source)

A Letter For Your Rapture Box

Psalm 39:4 “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is.”

rapture2bbox

The saddest thing that will ever occur is a soul that dies without Christ.  There comes a point in every person’s life where they either accept or reject the free gift of Salvation that was purchased for them at the cross by the blood sacrifice of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

There was a time limit on this Age of Grace.  We do not know the exact hour or day when it will end, but the ancient Scriptures are quite clear about the signs.  Careful study shows that we are in that time.

The Age of Grace is when mankind could freely receive the gift of salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, it is coming to a close.  As I write these words the hour is late.

I am not a prophet and I do not claim to have secret knowledge or insight into the vast mysteries of the Lord.  I am a simple woman who inherited a love of Bible prophecy and was given a modicum of talent for writing.

As such, I felt compelled to prepare a letter for my friends who would be left behind at the Rapture of the church.  I did this originally in 2015, but given that so much has happened in the last two years, I have been compelled to update it.  I share this with you today, in the hope that you might print and share a copy as well.

Honestly, it has been quite a struggle.  I’ve lost the work several times.  The formatting has been crazy.  I’ve published and unpublished the letter throughout the day, the importance of it weighs on me.  I’ve also tried desperately to remember who will be reading this, my typical audience is well versed in Scripture, those Left Behind will not be.

You can download this letter as a printable PDF right here.  Click “Download This File”.

——————————

Dear Friend,

If you are reading these words, we are gone.  Peace be with you.  You will need that peace to carry you through what you are facing.

Jesus tells his disciples, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27).

I pray for you: “Lord, please comfort my Friend.  Please send your presence upon them now, please open their eyes and enable them to read and understand the words you have had me write.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.”

Please do not worry about where we are, we are safe and secure with the Lord Jesus.  No matter what you are being told, hold fast to that truth, your eternal soul depends on it.

This letter is going to be the most straightforward and frank piece that I’ve ever written, for the time has passed for smooth words that cajole and coddle.  You are in dire straits and the words I am about to write are the only way to save your eternal soul.

The Church and with it the restraining goodness of the Holy Spirit on this Earth is gone.

A Pure, Righteous and Holy God is about to begin the Judgement of His Creation.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is giving the Nation of Israel one last chance to return to Him.

I am sure that the world is spinning in chaos now with the disappearance of so many people.  Whatever you have heard, do not believe it.  Jesus has returned to take His people to Heaven and the much-anticipated Rapture has occurred as was foretold in the Scriptures thousands of years ago.

The Great Disappearance

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 because the Lord himself, in a shout, in the voice of a chief-messenger, and in the trump of God, shall come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 lo, I tell you a secret; we indeed shall not all sleep, and we all shall be changed; in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed:

I am deeply sorry that you were not with us, I cannot imagine the fear and chaos that has come upon the world after millions of Christians and all the babies and small children have instantly disappeared.

Your Last Chance

Have no doubt, these events have been established by God since the foundation of the Earth was laid.  He has a specific purpose for His Creation and you have just witnessed the greatest sign and obvious fulfillment of prophecy ever given to mankind.  You can either accept it or reject it, the choice is yours but do it now because if the window is open, it will close quickly; this letter may be your only chance.

If you have heard and rejected the Good News of Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ before the disappearances, you are in the gravest peril imaginable.

There is a chance, it is already too late and that these words I am writing to you are in vain but I must try.

In your heart, you did not believe that “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Jesus will not die but have everlasting life.”  (John 3:16).

God will be sending a powerful delusion to those who have heard and rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ.  (2 Thessalonians 2:11) If you do not repent and accept Jesus as your Savior, you will believe the lies.  You will not be able to resist.  Once that happens, you are lost forever.

It is not scriptural, but there is an old Jewish tradition called the Days of Awe which says that on Rosh Hashanah the Lord will write the names of the Redeemed in the Book of Life.  People whose names are not written in the book have a grace period of ten days, to repent and profess their faith in God, and by their actions of faith to “appeal” the verdict.  The final determinations are made and the book is sealed on Yom Kippur.

Many Christians in the prophecy community look for the Rapture of the Church to happen on Rosh Hashanahif that timing were to happen on that day then perhaps God in His mercy will grant this brief time for repentance for those left behind.  I pray that He does.

Why Has This Happened:

To truly understand what you are facing, you must go back to the beginning.  In the time before recorded Scriptures, there was a rebellion in Heaven.  This rebellion was led by Lucifer, who recruited one third of the angels to fight with him against the Almighty.  At some point afterward, God created the Heavens and the Earth as it exists today.  He created a perfect, sinless paradise and populated it with an image bearer, Adam and Eve.

Among the perfection of Eden; enter the Deceiver; the Hater of all that is good and pure and wholesome. This envious monster loathed Adam and Eve with an unmatched fury because he hated the Almighty.  He looked upon the earth and coveted it.  He could not take it by force, his war in the Heavens had taught him that, but he could steal it.

He would have to make the man rebel.  Satan knew that if the man sinned against God that the glory and protection that allowed Adam to walk with God would depart.  Subsequently, God would not be able to be near Adam without destroying him.  God would have to leave the Earth and the Devil could take over.

His plan worked.  God is a just God and Satan knows the laws.  By causing man to sin, Satan did not receive the Earth, but some type of lease on it.  Some say this is a 6000-year period, we do not know for certain but three things are clear:

  • Satan is allowed to rule the Earth for a time and is described as the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4) and Jesus does not refute his claim (Matthew 4:8-9)
  • Satan knew the Laws of God and manipulated the circumstance and man in the Garden to gain control of the Earth
  • Satan knows when the Earth Lease is Up (Rev 12:12)

Right now, the lease is up and the true and rightful owner is taking the Earth back.  Christ redeemed not only mankind at the cross, but God’s claim and dominion of the Earth.

Blood Sacrifice and the Cross

We do not have any concept of blood sacrifice but it is fundamental to God’s justice.

Since we have been talking about the Garden of Eden, let me pick up where we have left off, after Adam and Eve had disobeyed God.

We know that when Adam and Eve sinned, they realized they were naked (Gen 3:7).  I believe it is because the glory of the Lord no longer covered them, they were ashamed and tried to hide and cover themselves with leaves.    They were trying to cover their sin; yet mere leaves and their own efforts could not protect them from what they would face.  That is why your efforts to be a good person have found you in the quandary you are in now, you could not cover your own sin.

The Bible says that God himself killed an animal and fashioned clothing for them, thus the blood covered their sins. (Gen 3:21)  A sacrifice of blood covered their sins, but did not restore their former glory to them.  They were still alive, but no longer had fellowship with the Lord.  Their sin had caused death.  Even then, the Lord had a plan for their ultimate redemption.  (Gen 3:15)

Between Eden and the cross, the Lord instructed His people to sacrifice animals as an atonement for their sins.  The Old Testament rituals were very important because it was a legal and spiritual act that the priests were performing, but it was imperfect and had to be repeated over and over.  We see that in the garden, the sin was covered but the glory was not restored; we were still cut off from God.

In God’s perfect way, He provided the sacrifice.  A perfect man, fully God and fully man, to redeem mankind and redeem the Earth.  So He came to the Earth, he lived this painful life of a man in a fallen and hurting world.  He allowed himself to be beaten, scourged, and crucified that each precious drop of His blood was the sacrifice perfect justice demanded. (John 19)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

For 2000 years, this invitation has been open to all mankind.  A gift bought at a great price, but there was a time limit on the Age of Grace and that time ended with the Rapture of the Church.

Now the Judgement Begins

This seven-year period known as the Tribulation, or Jacob’s Trouble.  It is set aside to bring the Jews back into relationship with God and to judge the nations over how they have treated Israel.  This is also the judgment of Satan and his fallen angels and their eviction from the Earth.

If you value truth, believe what I say to you.  Perilous times are ahead.  The painful fact is that most people that remain on the earth today will die over the course of the next 7 years.  Odds are, you and your family and friends that remain will not survive to the Second Coming of Jesus.

What is coming upon the earth is well documented; from the time Israel signs the peace treaty with the man of sin, the clock will start on the final 7 years.  There may be a lag time between the Rapture and the treaty, but we are told in Scripture that this period will be the most horrific ever recorded.

Pray this Prayer to be Saved:

To avoid eternal damnation in the fires of Hell and get to Heaven, you must pray this prayer: “Dear Lord Jesus – I am sorry that I have hardened my heart to you, I am sorry that I did not believe that you came to save me.  I am sorry that I have tried to find you with my own righteousness.  I am a sinner, please forgive me, Lord.  I confess that I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and was raised on the third day.  I believe that there is no other name under heaven or on earth by which we can be saved.  I ask for you to come into my life, to come into my heart, and I ask you to seal me with your mark.  Lord strengthen me for the trials to come.  Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me.  Cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me.  In my own strength, I can do nothing but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”

Hold on Tight

If you have prayed this prayer, memorize it and pray it often.  You have been sealed by the Holy Spirit.

You must hold tight to your salvation.  For unlike the church age, this salvation demands obedience, vigilance, and faith.   “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matt 24:12-13).

Persecution and great danger will follow, “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.” (Rev 14:12)

The Parable of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25 describes what will happen to believers who survive the Tribulation.  Half of them were found to have not retained their salvation.  Oil in that parable is the Holy Spirit, whom you have received a portion of if you prayed the above prayer.

This will be no easy task and many will not make it, I pray you are among those that overcome.

Truth Will Come From Israel

You will need to study the Bible, it is logical to determine that an understanding of the Scriptures you will need to survive this time may have been hidden from us in this Age will be revealed by the Holy Spirit now.  Great teachers that will emerge from Israel.

The Bible prophecies that the Lord will raise up 144,000 Jews from the Nation of Israel (Rev 7:4) who will proclaim the Word of the Lord.  They will be the truth tellers and the teachers and will understand and proclaim what people must do to retain their Salvation during this time.  They will be the great evangelists and will be protected from the perils to come.

Revelation 11 tells us of two prophets that are sent to Israel that will prophesy at the Temple for 1260 Days.  If anyone tries to harm them they will spew fire from their mouths and consume their enemies.  When their time is finished, the AntiChrist will be allowed to kill them, their bodies will lie on the ground for 3.5 days and all the world will celebrate and give gifts to one another.  Then the Lord will breathe life into their bodies and they will be raised to life in front of the entire world.  He will call them back to Heaven and a great earthquake will shake the city.

Deception Planned for Thousands of Years

Do you think for a moment that the Rapture of the Church would have caught the Devil napping and not ready to fight his last battle?  He has always been ready.

The world will have many stories; Satan and his minions will come with many lying signs and wonders, (2 Thessalonians 2:9) they have prepared for this hour since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden when they received the lease to planet Earth.  Revelation Chapter 5 starts with the breaking of the seals on this lease.

These fallen angels are powerful beings and will amaze mankind with their tricks, Scripture says that if it were possible they would even fool the very elect.  They will have elaborate explanations as to where we have all gone.

Who They Really Are and What They Will Do

The old Enemy Satan and his demons will demonstrate amazing power and spin false tales.  Satan always tries to counterfeit God.  We see it throughout Scripture but especially in the Book of Revelation where he mimics the Triune God of the Bible with the Beast, the False Prophet, and the Anti-Christ.  Often overlooked are the “disciples”, described in Scriptures as the 10 kings.

A benevolent New World Government will emerge from the chaos.  The Bible says they will organize themselves into Ten Kingdoms (Rev 17:12).  They will claim to be the good guys, they are not.

We meet these nefarious 10 kings several times in Scripture, (Dan 2:31-35Dan 2:40-45Dan 7:7-819-24Rev 13:1-2Rev 17:3,7) but most explicitly in Daniel 7:24 and then again in Revelation 17:12,16.

The imagery of Revelation requires and understanding of the symbols, a horn in ancient culture was a symbol of royal power.  It is why today, crowns have spires resembling horns.  The 10 kings, the False Prophet, and the Anti-Christ are all subservient to the Beast who is Satan.  Thus, we have the counterfeit 12 Apostles.

A leader, the Anti-Christ, will emerge from them that will be the most amazing orator, peacemaker, and problem solver the world has ever known.  He will inspire the world and they will fall at his feet.  The Apostle John is the first to use the term Anti-Christ in 1 John 2:181 John 2:221 John 4:3, and 2 John 7.  It is interesting to note that the term, is only used four times and never in Revelation.  We can see from the above Scriptures that the spirit of Anti-Christ was on the Earth in the 1st century.

It is smoke and mirrors, he is an evil man and midway through the Tribulation will seem to take a fatal wound to the head.  When he rises from the dead, there is no other than Satan possessing him.

In 600 bc, the prophet Daniel wrote: “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.”  Since the prophet makes sure to include that the man does not desire women, it is reasonable to conclude that this new leader will claim some sort of androgynous status.  His identity remains veiled during the Age of Grace when I write these words but you will soon know of whom the prophet spoke.

A New Religion

The False Prophet will emerge and proclaim the AntiChrist has been raised from the dead and is god.  He will erect a statue to him that will move and will direct the world to worship this leader.  Anyone who refuses will be murdered.

Prior to this time, there will perhaps be some sort of All-inclusive religion with strong elements of Mother Nature and Gaia worship interwoven through it.  This mystery religion is as old as post-flood Mesopotamia and has come in many forms and faces, it is the Great Harlot, Mystery Babylon.  (Rev 17)

Commerce and the Mark of the Beast:

All will be required to receive a mark, either on their forehead or their hand that will allow them to buy and sell.  Anyone who refuses the mark will have their body killed, anyone who accepts it is damned to hell forever.  (Rev. 14:9-11).

Given the revelations of the Equifax massive security breach, roughly half of the American public has had their full credit history, their Social Security numbers, their addresses, and their birthdays stolen.  Couple that with millions of disappearances and there is no conceivable way for the financial institutions to know if you are who you say you are when you go to the bank to claim your money.  Thus, this will be the rationale for a new identification and worldwide payment system and financial system; the Mark of the Beast.  Under no circumstances take this mark, it will doom you to eternal fire and damnation.

Prepare For The Future

I suspect that reference material, books, websites, and bibles will be systematically eliminated.  Find a Bible and keep it with you.  Take it, use it, read it – it will be your most important weapon moving forward.  Go to gracethrufaith.com and print off as much as you can about what is coming, the doctrine and teaching on this site is solid.  RaptureReady.com was designed to survive but recent events even call that into question as they were brought down recently.  If they are up, they will have articles and research.  If you do not understand something, ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom.

Information will be quickly shut down and controlled.  We see this now, Google controls the internet, the satellites, the flow of information.  Facebook has facial recognition software for just about every human on the planet.  Amazon will quickly control commerce.  Our phones have tracked us everywhere we have gone, our cars GPS’s pinpoint our exact locations.  The media companies are owned by less than a dozen companies and the entertainment world is poised and ready for propaganda the likes of which has never been seen.

How it Ends:

Now for the Good news, God wins.  He will triumph over Satan and will usher in His glorious millennial kingdom.  The earth will be restored to its original perfect state, justice, kindness, goodness, and prosperity will blanket the inhabitants.  Many that survive the Tribulation will not die but will have their bodies healed and renewed.  There IS hope.

Weapons of Faith

You can do this and the Lord will help you.  You are no longer on your own, the Holy Spirit will guide you.

Memorize the Lord’s Prayer:

Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Memorize the Full Armor of God:

Ephesians 6:10-18 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm.
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

I wish I could tell you all that I know but I feel this letter drawing to a close.  I have not gone into detail of the consequences of not choosing the path I’ve laid out for you, I trust that you will not choose foolishly.  Know this, everyone lives forever – this puff of smoke we call life determines whether you will spend it in paradise or whether you will be tormented in the fire, sulfur, and violence forever.

There will be only one source of truth, the Bible.  Cling to it for your life, guard it, protect it – if discovered, it will get you killed but it will save your soul.

Sadly, every day it will get worse.  The judgments to come upon this Earth will get more severe.  Gather as much, food, water, and medicine and medical supplies as you can.  Download and print as much survival information on how to build shelters, ovens, and purify water.  Stash supplies in varied hiding places; much destruction will befall the world.  You are going to have to be a bad ass to survive.

Make no mistake, you are still here because you chose to be.  There is no one to blame but yourself, don’t blame God, and don’t blame me.  He has sent you one last lifeline, I’ve written it, it’s up to you to act upon it.

At some point during the judgments to come, everyone will believe in God but most will hate Him.  Revelation 16:11 says, “and they cursed the God of heaven for their pains and sores. But they did not repent of their evil deeds and turn to God.”  You see He will make Himself known to everyone that none will have an excuse.  I beg you now, to choose the right path.  I love you and I have prayed for you.

In Christ,
Your Loving Friend   (Click to Site)

9/23 Shown In Movies For Decades?

The curious case of a previous date setter who found something interesting and botched it!

Back in 2015, a YouTuber named Renee M published a now debunked book, called the Rapture Puzzle.  Like all foolish date setters, Renee built her platform around a theory that the Rapture would take place on Yom Kippur 2015.  For months leading up to the September 23 date, she unearthed film clips and TV segments where 9/23 was featured on screen.

At the time, I was trying to ensure I wasn’t living in a prophetic “echo chamber”, so I approached the Yom Kippur Rapture theory with an open mind.  In the end, there were WAY too many red flags, I didn’t think that she’d made a good argument, but I remember watching a few of the videos and thinking it was creepy how often 9/22 and 9/23 appeared.

She uncovered clips that went back to the early 1980’s; clocks turned to 9:23, newspapers laying on a desk with a Sept 23 date, license plates on cars 923, addresses 923 Church Street, flights that characters were taking 923.  Random at first glance but then when dozens and dozens of examples are cobbled together, one begins to wonder.  Then another pattern started to emerge, all sorts of “disaster” movies had 9/22 or 9/23 associated with them.  As we drew closer to the date, her followers, specifically C. Ervana, started unearthing more and more instances in film and TV.  In all, I think Renee M and C. Ervana produced about 30 videos for Renee M’s channel and garnered over 70,000 subscribers.

As the September 2015 Blood Moon and Shemitah High Watch Season came to a close, I forgot about Renee M and went back to business.  Renee M, completely discredited, deleted all her videos and her website and apparently went back to her business, C. Ervana is still an active YouTuber.

A few months ago, it occurred to me that Yom Kippur 2015 and the Revelation 12 sign in 2017 were the same dates and then I recalled those videos.  What if the mysterious YouTuber had discovered something but made the fatal error of assigning a date to something where no date was meant to be assigned?

We KNOW that 9/23 has significance because of the astronomical Revelation 12 sign in the sky!  It seems that several others have picked up the banner and compiled similar footage.   Granted, some of the footage is really stretching it but it is at least interesting to consider.  Here’s a sample of what’s out there:

Rob Skiba, an interesting lecturer, states that he believes there is a universal law that since God has revealed what He is going to do in His Word, that Satan also must reveal what he is doing.  That is where hidden symbols and secret codes begin to take on a deeper weight and seem less like a conspiracy theory and more like something sober-minded watchers should look for.  This might be symbolism of the sort, or it might simply be a coincidence.  Perhaps these numbers sound good on camera?

Incidentally, looking through YouTube it is depressing how many videos are still posted claiming that the rapture was going to happen on 09/23/2015… It makes you wonder who is actually producing and putting those videos up.  What better way to confuse the Body of Christ, discourage people from studying prophecy, and cause the unbeliever to mock you?  If any ministry sets a date – either in the past or in the future, please take a serious look at them.  There are tons of sites on the internet that regularly set dates and then have to backtrack.  Get your prophecy elsewhere!  We are told to be hopeful and watchful but never presumptuous.

(Author’s Note – as I was researching this post, I found a couple mirrored copies of Renee M’s videos or at least some clips from them, watching it with the full knowledge of history that she was SO wrong gives you a feel for what a false prophecy video looks like and what you should be on the lookout for, check it out here and here)  (Click to Site)
