Opioid Makers/Distributors Dumped On Reports Of Federal Criminal Probe

By Tyler Durden

Federal prosecutors have reportedly opened a criminal investigation into whether pharmaceutical companies intentionally allowed opioid painkillers to flood communities.

As The Wall Street Journal notes, the feds are employing laws normally used to go after drug dealers, according to people familiar with the matter.

At least six companies have said in regulatory filings that they received grand-jury subpoenas from the U.S. attorney’s office in the Eastern District of New York:

  • drugmakers Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Mallinckrodt PLC, Johnson & Johnson and Amneal Pharmaceuticals Inc.

  • and distributors AmerisourceBergen Corp. and McKesson Corp.

The Wall Street Journal notes that the probe is in its early stages and prosecutors are expected to subpoena additional companies in the coming months, one of the people said. It wasn’t clear if other companies had received subpoenas.

Virtually every state and more than 2,500 city and county governments have filed lawsuits against players up and down the opioid supply chain, accusing them of marketing opioid painkillers too aggressively and failing to stop excessive amounts of pills from flooding into communities. Some of the companies are working with attorneys general on a multibillion-dollar settlement to resolve the entirety of the litigation.

Hospitals are putting Native American patients at risk for opioid abuse, audit says

Associated Press Published 11:17 a.m. ET July 22, 2019 | Updated 3:53 p.m. ET July 22, 2019

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — U.S. government hospitals placed Native American patients at increased risk for opioid abuse and overdoses, failing to follow their own protocols for prescribing and dispensing the drugs, according to a federal audit made public Monday.

The report by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General does not draw conclusions about actual abuse or overdoses. But it said all five Indian Health Service hospitals that were reviewed had patients who were given opioids in amounts exceeding federal guidelines.

“There are vulnerabilities with this particular population in the opioid prescribing and dispensing practices,” said Carla Lewis, one of the auditors.

The overdose epidemic that has killed more people than any other drug epidemic in U.S. history has hit indigenous communities hard. Native Americans and Alaska Natives had the second-highest rate of opioid overdose out of all U.S. racial and ethnic groups in 2017, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The report made more than a dozen recommendations to the Indian Health Service to better track patients’ health records and pain management, ensure opioids are stored under tighter security and update its information technology systems. The agency agreed on every point and said changes were coming.

The Indian Health Service, the federal agency that administers primary health care for Native Americans, has put an increased focus on opioids lately with a new website and the creation of a committee focused on decreasing overdose deaths, promoting culturally appropriate treatments and ensuring that communities know how to respond.

The audit covered five of the 25 hospitals directly run by the Indian Health Service: the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix; Northern Navajo Medical Center on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, New Mexico; the Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma; the Cass Lake Indian Hospital on the Leech Lake reservation in Cass Lake, Minnesota; and the Fort Yates Hospital on the Standing Rock Sioux reservation in Fort Yates, North Dakota.

Auditors considered the amount of opioids each hospital dispensed and the percentage increase over three years when deciding which ones to review. They looked at 30 patient records at each hospital, visited the facilities and interviewed staff.

The auditors found that the hospitals strayed from guidelines in the Indian Health Manual in reviewing treatment for patients and their causes of pain every three months. Patients also must sign a written consent form and an agreement to treat chronic pain with opioids so they know the risks and benefits, as well as the requirement for drug screenings. More than 100 patient records did not include evidence of informed consent, and dozens did not have evidence that providers adequately educated patients.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends that patients be prescribed no more than 90 morphine milligram equivalents per day, a measure used to compare an opioid dose with morphine.

The audit found that each hospital met or exceeded that amount at times. At the Shiprock hospital, the daily dosage was more than four times as high. The auditors also found some patients were prescribed opioids and benzodiazepines — commonly used to treat anxiety and insomnia —at the same time, which “puts patients at a greater risk of a potentially fatal overdose.”

Why followers of Jesus shouldn’t smoke pot: former addict

June 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — I want to share my own convictions as to why followers of Jesus should not smoke pot. I encourage you to consider them prayerfully before the Lord.

First, for the sake of clarity and simplicity, I’m not addressing the issue of the medical use of marijuana, as prescribed by a responsible doctor. While it’s possible these subjects are related, I’m focusing here on the recreational use of marijuana.

Second, I speak from personal experience, both as a follower of Jesus and as a former pot smoker.

In short, I was a heavy drug user from 1969 to 1971, earning the nicknames “Drug Bear” and “Iron Man” in the process. The drugs I used included pot, hash, ups, downs, LSD, mescaline, speed, heroin, and (very briefly, right before I got saved) cocaine.

Many of my friends, colleagues, and former ministry school students were drug users, too, some heavily and some lightly. But we hold the same views today about Christians smoking (or ingesting) pot.

In short, you cannot “be sober and alert” and smoke pot at the same time. Yet God’s Word calls us to the former.

Peter wrote, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8, NIV).

When you smoke pot, even a little, your mind gets into a more relaxed state, a state of lowered alertness and lower sobriety. It’s called “getting high” for a reason.

You might think it enhances your thinking or creativity or spirituality, but in reality, it is bringing you into a less sober state of mind, one in which your ability to respond rapidly and critically is actually lessened. So, you might be more “creative,” but not in a holy and godly way.

Yet a recent headline on Christian Post announced, “XXXchurch Pastor Craig Gross promotes ‘Christian Cannabis,’ says weed makes it easier to worship.”

The pastor, Craig Gross, explained, “I’ve never lifted my hands in a worship service ever, ’cause I was raised Baptist. … I’ve done that in my bathroom worshiping with marijuana by myself.”

Ironically, it’s for this same reason that some strippers get high before performing or some actors have a few drinks before engaging in a sex scene. The drugs or drink loosen them up and relax them, helping to remove their inhibitions.

But this is the opposite of spiritual liberty. It has nothing to do with holiness, and it is totally unrelated to worship. (The real shame here is that Pastor Gross has fought against the use of porn for many years. Yet Christians who get high will find their ability to resist sexual sin lessened as well.)

Before I knew Jesus, I received incredible spiritual “revelations” while tripping on LSD or mescaline, especially when combined with huffing diesel gas. I even discovered the secret of the universe!

All of this was from below, not from above. All of this was deception.

We should also factor in that pot remains a gateway drug, opening the door to more serious drug abuse over time. Is it any surprise that Denver has now voted to decriminalize psychedelic mushrooms after Colorado legalized cannabis in 2014?

Even if you never went beyond pot after years of personal use, the moment you advocate it, you open the door to others. Is that wise?

I’ve also been told repeatedly that pot today is not like the pot I once smoked. It’s much more potent and dangerous. And the very real, not exaggerated, dangers of marijuana use have been documented by Alex Berenson in his bestselling book Tell Your Children: The Truth About Marijuana, Mental Illness, and Violence.

As the blurb states, this “eye-opening report from an award-winning author and former New York Times reporter reveals the link between teenage marijuana use and mental illness, and a hidden epidemic of violence caused by the drug — facts the media have ignored as the United States rushes to legalize cannabis.”

Bad roots will produce bad fruit. Just give things enough time.

According to a report from SF Gate, “With some marijuana products averaging 68 percent THC — exponentially greater than the pot baby boomers once smoked — calls to poison control centers and visits to emergency rooms have risen. In the Denver area, visits to Children’s Hospital Colorado facilities for treatment of cyclic vomiting, paranoia, psychosis and other acute cannabis-related symptoms jumped to 777 in 2015, from 161 in 2005.”

Significantly, “The increase was most notable in the years following legalization of medical sales in 2009 and retail use in 2014, according to a study in the Journal of Adolescent Health published in 2018.”

In the words of psychiatrist Libby Stuyt, who treats teens in southwestern Colorado and has studied the health impacts of high-potency marijuana, “Horrible things are happening to kids. I see increased problems with psychosis, with addiction, with suicide, with depression and anxiety.”

And while the effects on adults might not always be as extreme (or, as quickly noticed), it is clear that anything this harmful to teens can hardly be beneficial to adults.

Paul exhorted the believers in Ephesus, “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18, ESV).

In the same way, he would urge us not to get high on drugs, but rather to be filled with the Spirit.

Of course, I’m quite aware that the response of many would be, “But that’s the whole point. Just as we can drink alcohol in moderation, we can smoke pot in moderation.”

My response would be 1) it’s an unnecessary crutch; 2) it still removes your full sobriety; 3) it opens the door to more intense pot use, along with the use of other drugs; 4) it creates another fleshly habit in your life.

For two years, day and night, my life centered on drugs and rock music, and I got as high as humanly possible without dying, once taking enough hallucinogenic drugs for 30 people. (I am only alive and in God’s service by His grace and mercy!) And in the months before coming to faith in Jesus, I smoked pot morning, noon, and night. It became a constant part of my life.

Yet when I truly experienced the joy of the Lord, which then revealed the depths of His love to me, I said to Him on the spot, “I will never put a needle in my arm again!” And I was free from that day (December 17, 1971) until today.

Two days after that, while smoking hash with friends, I realized that the Lord didn’t want me to get high in any way. And the rest is history.

So, before you get high (whether for the first time or again), ask yourself these questions: Is this light or darkness? Is this feeding my spirit or my flesh? Is this exalting Jesus or opening the door to the enemy?

Be wise, and sober, my friend. And be filled with the Holy Spirit. There is nothing like it. (Click to Source)

The New Science of Psychedelics: A Tool for Changing Our Minds

As our prosperity rises, our mental health is on the decline—and fast. Rates of depression, anxiety, suicide, addiction, and other psychological disorders have skyrocketed in recent years, and nobody knows what to do about it.

Enter psychedelics: LSD, magic mushrooms, mescaline, ayahuasca—drugs you’d expect to find at a rave or a music festival, not in your psychologist’s office. But that may be about to change, as research in psychedelics increasingly shows their potential for treating psychological conditions.

Previously known as a food and nutrition expert thanks to books like The Omnivore’s Dilemma and In Defense of Food, author Michael Pollan switched tracks a bit for his latest project. His newest book, How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence, published last year, has been an integral part of de-stigmatizing the psychedelics conversation.

In a fascinating talk with The 4-Hour Workweek author Tim Ferris at South By Southwest earlier this month, Pollan shared insights from his research and his personal experiences.

Some History

The word ‘psychedelics’ was coined in 1957 by English psychiatrist Humphry Osmond. It combines the words for mind (psyche) and manifest (delic, from the Greek dēlos). “It’s vague in a way, but it’s suggesting that these drugs bring the mind into kind of an observable space,” Pollan said. “I tried in my book to rescue the word from all the encrustation of 60s Day-Glo acid rock and see if we could reclaim it, because it means the right thing.”

It was their association with 60s counterculture, Pollan explained, that ultimately caused psychedelics’ decline as a scientific tool. By the time the public first heard about the drugs in the 60s, researchers in Europe and the US had already been studying them for 15 years, and using them to treat conditions like addiction and depression, with positive results. “The standards for scientific drug research then were different,” Pollan said. “The double-blind placebo controlled trial didn’t exist until 1962.”

The anti-establishment subculture embraced psychedelics. But in 1965—the year the US first deployed troops to Vietnam—the government and the media started demonizing the drugs. They were labeled as immoral, and stories abounded about people having bad trips, ending up in psych wards, or staring at the sun until they went blind (the first two did happen, but the last was made up).

“Nixon regarded LSD as one of the reasons that boys weren’t willing to go fight in Vietnam,” Pollan said. For most of history, he explained, young men sent to war to defend their country just went—they didn’t ask questions. But suddenly, young American men were asking questions—big ones, like “Is this a just war?” and “Is this something I want to fight for?”

“LSD encourages people to question all sorts of frameworks in their lives, and may have contributed to that,” Pollan said. “It was a very threatening drug.” At least, Nixon thought so, and as a result he started his war on drugs. Psychedelics research gradually ground to a halt, and the drugs stopped being taken seriously as having any medical potential.

Until now, that is.

Changing Our Minds

Pollan shared that what really got him interested in psychedelics was hearing about their effects on people who’d been diagnosed with terminal cancer. “They were paralyzed by fear of death, and they had these transformative experiences that in many cases completely removed their fear. It was the most astonishing thing,” he said.

The drugs have shown promise for alleviating a host of other disorders, including anxiety, depression, and addiction. Psilocybin is being used (“with striking success,” as Pollan put it) in a study of smokers at Johns Hopkins and a study of alcoholics at NYU, and has potential to treat eating disorders as well.

If it seems surprising that one type of drug could treat so many different disorders, consider their common link: they all involve repetitive loops and destructive narratives. The part of the brain where this takes place—called the default mode network—is the part of the brain psychedelics affect, in the sense that the drugs quiet the network, thereby giving users a chance to escape destructive patterns of thought.

The default mode network is a group of structures in the brain that connect the cortex to the areas involved in memory, emotion, and other inwardly-focused thinking, like self-reflection. The default mode network is least active when you’re focused on a task, and most active when you’re at rest without any external stimuli—which is when you start to daydream, remember things about the past, imagine things about the future, and simulate or replay your interactions with other people.

“When they image the brains of people on psychedelics they expected to see a lot of activity, but they were surprised to see that the default mode network was suppressed, with less blood flow and less energy going to it,” Pollan said. “If the ego has an address in the brain it’s somewhere in this network. And this is the region that gets quiet.”

Though we do know this much, we don’t know a lot more, about either how psychedelics work or how the brain works. “Our understanding of the brain is really primitive,” Pollan said. “We know psychedelic drugs bind serotonin to a receptor, then there’s a cascade of effects leading to synesthesia.” What takes place during that cascade, though? No idea.

There may be modes of communication going on in the brain that we don’t even know about yet; Pollan cited a 2018 study where a hippocampus—the brain region associated with memory—was sliced in half, and neurons on either side could still interact without direct contact.

“It’s really important to be humble in anything we say about the brain,” Pollan said.

Keeping Them Changed

If what takes place during psychedelic use is a temporary rewiring of the brain—the compounds are out of the brain within four to eight hours—why is it that using the drugs has an enduring effect on so many people?

“It’s not a purely psychopharmacological effect that they’re having, it really is the experience,” Pollan said. “It’s kind of like a reverse trauma. Many people who undergo this treatment say it’s one of the two or three biggest experiences of their lives.”

The most positive and lasting effect of psychedelics, he explained, is the experience of ego dissolution. It’s our egos—our sense of ourselves—that write and enforce destructive narratives. “The ego builds walls. It isolates us from other people, it isolates us from nature, it’s defensive,” Pollan said. “And when you bring down those walls in the psyche, there’s less of a distinction between you and that other, whether that be other people in your life or the natural world or the universe. There’s this incredible flow, and powerful feelings of love and re-connection.”

Though the experience may last just a few hours, people often feel that the insight or epiphany they have isn’t just a subjective opinion or idea, but a deeper revealed truth; the mind can be reset in a way that would take years of sessions with conventional therapists or psychiatrists. Just as a single trauma can put your mind on a new path, perhaps permanently, a single mystical experience may be able to do the same.

“The mind has certain moments where right angle turns happen, and perhaps it can happen in a positive way as well as a negative way,” Pollan said.

Moving Forward

The psychedelics renaissance is coming at a time when new tools for mental health are sorely needed.

Other branches of medicine—cardiology, oncology, infectious disease—have made huge strides in the last 50 years, both in reducing suffering and prolonging life. But mental healthcare has essentially been at a standstill since the introduction of the antidepressants known as SSRIs in the 1980s.

To go from their current classification as Schedule 1 drugs—high potential for abuse and no currently accepted medical use—to getting approved as a medicine, psychedelics need to go through the standard three-phase FDA approval process: first an open-label, no-placebo pilot study, followed by a placebo-controlled trial, then a larger placebo-controlled trial.

Pollan believes MDMA and psilocybin could be approved within five years; the FDA has granted breakthrough therapy status to both, which means they actively help researchers design trials that will move the drugs to approval. MDMA is already in Phase 3 trials.

The biggest bottleneck is funding. The studies are expensive and controversial, and the National Institute of Mental Health has a minuscule budget compared to that of the National Institute of Health. Thus far, psychedelics research has been privately funded.

“It’s not a right-left issue, especially when it comes to treating soldiers with PTSD,” Pollan said. But there is the issue of how to incorporate the drugs into mental healthcare as we currently practice it. The pharmaceutical industry isn’t interested in a drug people only need to take once; likewise, the therapy business model depends on people coming back every week for years. Even if this shifted, therapists would need extensive training before being able to administer psychedelics.

“I think we’ll figure it out, but it’s a whole new structure, a whole new paradigm, and that may take a little while,” Pollan said. After all his research, though, he for one is highly optimistic.

“One of the things that excites me most about psychedelics is that yes, there’s a treatment here—but they’re also very interesting probes to understand the mind,” he said.

“[Psychiatrist] Stanislav Grof wrote that psychedelics would be for the study of the mind what the telescope was for astronomy or the microscope for biology. Now that is an audacious claim—but I no longer think it’s crazy.” (Click to Source)

Fentanyl bust in New York finds enough to kill nearly 2 million people, DEA says

Updated 6:49 PM ET, Sat March 2, 2019

(CNN)A home in a quiet Westchester County, New York, neighborhood was hiding enough fentanyl to kill 2 million people, the US Drug Enforcement Administration said.

Federal agents found five kilograms (just over 11 pounds) of fentanyl and six kilograms (13.2 pounds) of heroin Friday when they raided a fentanyl mill operating out of a home in Ardsley, the DEA said.
Five people who were arrested during the raid are facing several drug charges.
Braulio Mata, 31; Jose Garcia, 44; and 20-year-old Yarly Mendoza-Delorbe were charged with conspiracy and drug possession. Another suspect, Ramon Aracena Alfe, 47, is facing a possession charge. The fifth person, 32-year-old Dionell Duarte Hernandez, has been charged with possession and resisting arrest, officials said.
The group began renting the home a few months ago and neighbors had noticed several vehicles coming and going, CNN affiliate News 12 Westchester reported.
“The fentanyl alone has the potency to kill nearly over two million people,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge Ray Donovan. “I commend the men and women in the Task Force and Tactical Diversion Squad for their quick and efficient investigation into this organization and their diligence to the safety of the residents living nearby.”
Ardsley is a wealthy community about 20 miles north of New York City.

Ex-Witch: Satanists, Occultists Have Infiltrated the Christian Church

Ex-witch Beth Eckert says satanists and occultists have overrun the Christian church, corrupting it on nearly every level.

Believers in this day and age have turned a blind eye to sin, she says, and gone against Paul’s appeal in Romans 16.

“Upon closer examination of these churches, I think anyone can find one fault or another,” Eckert says. “There is no one church that is perfect for everyone. Church is an institution of man, and man is full of sin. There is no such thing as a perfect church, just a church that strives its best to follow Jesus Christ and spread the gospel message.”

But some churches have strayed away from this central message.

SABOTEURS PART 18: The Great Seal Prophecy of America’s Coming Grey Champion

sabgreatsealprophecy

In The Secret Teachings for All Ages, celebrated 33rd-Degree Freemason Manly P. Hall said:

Not only were many of the founders of the United States Government Masons, but they received aid from a secret and august body existing in Europe, which helped them to establish this country for a peculiar and particular purpose known only to the initiated few. The Great Seal is the signature of this exalted body—unseen and for the most part unknown—and the unfinished pyramid upon its reverse side is a trestleboard setting forth symbolically the task to the accomplishment of which the United States Government was dedicated from the day of its inception.[i]

Hall spoke of many things regarding the Freemasonic symbolism of our capital city, but by far the most powerful signature of intent by the society, as Hall just stated, is the Great Seal. He didn’t even try to hide the fact that the Seal involves a “task”—a “peculiar and particular” one that our nation was “dedicated” to by our founding fathers from “inception”!

Hermes Trismegistus of the Hermetic Corpus wisdom texts prized by the Rosicrucians (and by extension, the Freemasons) regaled his disciple with a principle for the workings of the universe: “As Above, So Below.” This code is so buried in esoteric mysticism today that you find it even modeled by “The Magician” in the tarot deck; one of his hands holds a wand toward Heaven, and the other points to the earth, signifying the magician’s (and alchemist’s) role in the metaphysical link between Heaven and earth—and this artwork is a direct result of the “As Above, So Below” maxim. Straight from Trismegistus’ Emerald Tablet writing from the Hermetica is the explanation of this mystical connection:

That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracle of the One Thing. And just as all things have come from this One Thing, through the meditation of One Mind, so do all created things originate from this One Thing, through Transformation.[ii]

To those who are understandably confused by this obscure and cryptic text and what this “One Thing” might be, consider what Nikki Scully writes about the Emerald Tablet in her book, Alchemical Healing: A Guide to Spiritual, Physical, and Transformational Medicine:

The basic tenets of alchemy are distilled in the Emerald Tablet, one of the most quoted and studied of the guiding treatises of alchemical lore.… The Tablet suggests that “that which is above is the same as that which is below: All that exists is of One Mind, or of One Thing, and they are the same.” It is the goal of the alchemist to bring spirit and matter into alignment and harmony. Within that relationship rests the secret of creation, and with it our ability to co-create our own reality….

The language used to convey ancient and medieval alchemy was purposely misleading, encoded in terms so difficult to understand that the majority of those who tried to decipher it were either led astray or forced to give up.…

Throughout all the processes of alchemy, it is important to remember the teaching from the Emerald Tablet…. What happens in the spirit world is a reflection of what happens in the physical world.[iii]

Simply put, what happens on this earth can be controlled, manipulated, redirected, or entirely created based on the powerful, metaphysical link between the unseen realm and the enlightened few (magicians, sorcerers, alchemists, master Freemasons, etc.). What happens below on our natural earth, according to this philosophy, can mirror that of the supernatural—and the ambitions of a new society (or New World Order) become tangible via this concentration. Such a “mirror” is openly displayed in the Great Seal. It does, as Hall signifies, “symbolically” relate the “task” to which our country was “dedicated.” He made it clear, as did Nikki Scully, that these symbols and languages are “purposely misleading” to the general public.

It is perhaps no wonder, then, that the nation remains misled and that only students of archaic/esoteric symbolism would be able to decipher the true “peculiar and particular purpose” of the Seal’s design. By allowing the imagery to appear nationalistic in its branding, the truth can be shrouded behind what the general public perceives as patriotic.

When digging through the piles of research available on the Great Seal since its conception in 1776 (approved in 1782), the following implications are offered:

The Obverse Side

The animal chosen to bear the US Coat of Arms (with thirteen stripes) is the American Bald Eagle, supposedly chosen “because of its long life, great strength and majestic looks, and also because it was then believed to exist only on this continent.… The eagle represents freedom. Living as he does on the tops of lofty mountains, amid the solitary grandeur of Nature, he has unlimited freedom, whether with strong pinions he sweeps into the valleys below, or upward into the boundless spaces beyond.”[iv]

However, as stately as this all sounds, it is common knowledge that the earlier sketches were of William Barton’s “phoenix in a nest of flames.” Of this, Manly Hall said, “Its selection would of course have been appropriate.” He went on to say:

Among the ancients a fabulous bird called the Phoenix is described by early writers such as Clement, Herodotus, and Pliny; in size and shape it resembled the eagle…. The Phoenix, it was said, lives for 500 years, and at its death its body opens and the new born Phoenix emerges. Because of this symbolism, the Phoenix is generally regarded as representing immortality and resurrection.

All symbols have their origin in something tangible, and the Phoenix is one sign of the secret orders of the ancient world and of the initiate of those orders, for it was common to refer to one who had been accepted into the temples as a man twice-born, or re-born [think Horus/Osiris]. Wisdom confers a new life, and those who become wise [or enlightened] are born again.

The Phoenix symbol is important in another way, as an emblem among nearly all civilized nations of royalty, power, superiority, and immortality. The Phoenix of China is identical in meaning with the Phoenix of Egypt; and the Phoenix of the Greeks is the same as the Thunder Bird of the American Indians.…

It is immediately evident that the bird on the original seal is not an eagle…but the Phoenix…. The beak is of a different shape, the neck is much longer, and the small tuft of hair at the back of the head leaves no doubt as to the artist’s intention.[v]

So, as far as Hall was concerned, and as far as the historical evidence shows, the eagle was never an eagle, but a reincarnating bird held to high importance in Freemasonic mysticism.

However, there is yet another corresponding mythological link to the eagle as the representative phoenix. Several other birds could have been chosen to be the veiled phoenix if the artist was deliberate in shaping their lines, but in the family tree of the Roman pantheon, Jupiter (Zeus to the Greeks) was the father of Apollo, and his sacred animal was the eagle, who almost never leaves his side. When this very eagle was combined with a thunderbolt in its talons in artwork—a common occurrence on Greek and Roman coins—the eagle was to be considered Jupiter, himself, in animal form. Interestingly, in almost every single depiction of this state, the eagle has its wings outstretched in precisely the same stance as the Eagle of the Great Seal, and its head is always facing the same direction. The comparison of the two images is so striking that if one were to approach a person with no understanding of the identities or symbolism of either the Roman/Greek coins or the US Seal (or US history), he or she would understandably think the Roman/Greek coin was an antique coin of America’s ancient past. The unbearded “underworld Jupiter”—also known as Veiove, Vetis, or Vejovis, depending on the region the myth hails from—is depicted with a cluster of arrows in his hand, just like the eagle of the Great Seal.

Thus, there is a distinct allegory existing that the eagle of the US might in fact be a stand-in for the father of the Apollo/Osiris/Horus, who will be reborn into this world through reincarnation/resurrection—and who will arrive to finally place the missing “apex stone” upon the unfinished pyramid (on the reverse side of the Seal) for the New Atlantis.

In the eagle’s left talon are thirteen arrows, said to represent the thirteen original colonies; in its right talon is an olive branch (with thirteen leaves and thirteen olives, again for the thirteen original colonies), said to represent peace. The duality of the arrows and the olive branch signifies, or so we’re told, that our nation desires peace however and whenever possible (which is why the eagle has its head turned to the peaceful side), but we are ready to bravely go to war if necessary to preserve our values.

Above the eagle’s head is a “glory” with thirteen stars, and from its beak is an unraveled scroll with the words E PLURIBUS UNUM—which translates, “out of many, one” (alternatively, “one, out of many”)—made up of thirteen letters. (The English translation, when including the comma, is also comprised of thirteen characters.) The phrase E pluribus unum is said to have strong ties to another by Greek philosopher Heraclitus, whose writings survive only in what is called “the Fragments.” Fragment 10 reads, “The one is made up of all things, and all things issue from the one,” which is strangely similar to the Hermetic “As Above, So Below” maxim adored by Freemasons: “And just as all things have come from this One Thing, through the meditation of One Mind, so do all created things originate from this One Thing.”

And though it has been suggested that the “out of many, one” allusion refers to the comradery of a people coming together (or “becoming one”) through the common interest of love, patriotism, national pride, and so on, a more precise translation of thatarchetypal union is already given in the Latin unus fiat ex pluribus (literally, “it is based on one of a number of,” i.e., a goal or accomplishment that is based on the joining of a number together as one, united). But that did not equal thirteen letters, nor did it have ties to the “As Above, So Below” proverb. Thus, E pluribus unum was chosen deliberately in place of its more appropriate counterpart. However, whether the final terminology was selected because it fit the “thirteen” theme, or because it reflected the metaphysical and alchemical connotations of the Hermetic Corpus, the public views the “oneness” undertone and, without digging deeper, naturally associates it with patriotic dogmas of unity that have propelled our national “family” since the beginning.

But just as “one nation, under God” and “In God We Trust” are obviously intentionally ambiguous, the question is raised: To what central goal are we united “as one” anyway, and who precisely are the “we” in this equation? Is it all the citizens of America coming together for peace, liberty, and justice? Or is it the initiates of a darker Order coming together for a “peculiar and particular purpose” related to “devil’s footprint” pentagrams and pagan monuments?

Also, might there be more to the numerology surrounding the eagle than just that persistent number thirteen (which we will discuss shortly)? In 1846, 33rd-Degree Freemason and noted author James David Carter wrote in Freemasonry and United States Government:

Among those who helped design the Great Seal of the United States the following are known to have been Masons: Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, William Churchill Houston, and William Barton.… [W]hen an informed Mason examines the Great Seal, here is what he sees:

On the obverse is an eagle whose dexter wing has thirty-two feathers, the number of ordinary degrees in Scottish Rite Freemasonry. The sinister wing has thirty-three feathers, the additional feather corresponding to the Thirty-Third Degree of the same Rite conferred for outstanding Masonic service. The tail feathers number nine, the number of degrees in the Chapter, Council, and Commandery of the York Rite of Freemasonry.… The total number of feathers in the two wings is sixty-five which, by gematria, is the value of the Hebrew phrase yam yawchod (together in unity).…

The glory above the eagle’s head is divided into twenty-four equal parts and reminds the observer of the Mason’s gauge which is also divided into twenty-four equal parts and is emblematic of the service he is obligated to perform. The five-pointed stars remind him of the Masonic Blazing Star and the five points of fellowship.…

The gold, silver, and azure colors represent the sun, moon, and Worshipful Master, the first that rules the day, the second, the night, and the third, the lodge. While silver, connected with the letter Gimel or G and being surrounded on an azure ground by a golden glory, reminds the Mason of the letter G, a most conspicuous furnishing of a proper lodge room. The shield on the eagle’s breast affirms by its colors, valor (red), purity (white), and justice (blue), and reminds the Mason of the cardinal virtues. The value of these colors, by gematria, is 103, the value of the phrase ehben ha-Adam (the stone of Adam) and suggests the perfect ashlar, or squared stone, of Freemasonry. One hundred and three is also the value of the noun bonaim, a Ranbbinical word signifying “builders, Masons.” Thus the national colors spell out, by gematria, the name of the fraternity. The scroll in the eagle’s beak, bearing the words E Pluribus Unum…reminds him also of the unity which has made brothers of many.[vi]

It seems almost naïve to assume that the front side of the Seal is merely patriotic. Freemason handiwork is all over it. The reverse side appears to be even more blatant. Once again, we turn to Hall to point out the obvious: “But if this design on the obverse side of the seal is stamped with the signature of the Order…the design on the reverse is even more definitely related to the old Mysteries.”[vii]

The Reverse Side

Hall describes the reverse side:

Here is represented the great pyramid of Gizah, composed of 13 rows of masonry, showing 72 stones (the importance of this number and its connection to ancient and modern saboteurs and shadow government, deep-state occultists is reviewed elsewhere in this book). The pyramid is without a cap stone, and above its upper platform floats a triangle containing the All-Seeing Eye surrounded by rays of light.[viii]

The “Eye of Providence” floating above the Great Pyramid is an interesting twist. In the Renaissance Era, well before our nation’s founding, it began appearing as a symbol of the Christian Holy Trinity: three equal sides for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with the all-seeing eye of God (the three Persons together as one) at the center, accompanied by “glory rays” issuing from the three sides. Many may find this similarity of the Christian symbol to the Eye of Horus concerning, but when looking into the origins of the Eye of Providence, it’s nearly impossible to locate which religion or culture recorded it first, and it certainly did not mean the same thing to each culture/religion. Though it doesn’t always appear exactly the same from rendering to rendering, the artwork of the Eye of Providence is prominent in ancient imagery all over the world. In Buddhism, it’s the “Eye of the World”; in Vietnamese Caodism, it’s the “Divine Eye of God”; in Hinduism, it’s the third eye of Shiva and the destroyer of all evil and ignorance; in Middle-Eastern religions, it often appears in the palm of the hand and represents protection (and a comparable symbol appears in Judaism at times as the “Eye [or “Hand”] of Miriam”); and so on.

The designers of the Great Seal knew very well that by the time America was born, this all-seeing eye would be recognized generically as the Eye of Providence, and that Christians arriving to the new land of freedom would associate it to the Eye of the Trinity, so they proceeded with confidence that this “reclothing” would satisfy citizens of the nation for centuries to come. Evidently, their confidence was well placed, because at the time of this writing, the vast majority of Americans either have no idea what they’re looking at on the Seal, or they believe it to be representation of the Trinity (or “Eye of God/Providence,” generically). But if it was merely the Trinity they were pointing to, why would the all-seeing eye of Yahweh, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit be hovering above the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt, instead of the more obviously appropriate image of America? They just as easily could have placed the Eye over the flag or over a crowd of patriots.

Let’s consider what one of the most famous occultists in world history has said on the matter. I will remind the reader that this Freemason, Aleister Crowley, was known as the “wickedest man in the world.” From his writings, we read of a warped and therefore unholy trinity deriving from Egyptian theology:

Evolution (within human memory) shows three great steps: 1. the worship of the Mother, when the universe was conceived as simple nourishment drawn directly from her; 2. the worship of the Father, when the universe was imagined as catastrophic; 3. the worship of the Child, in which we come to perceive events as a continual growth partaking in its elements of both these methods.

Egyptian theology foresaw this progress of humanity and symbolized it in the triad of Isis, Osiris, [and] Horus.…

[T]he residing officer of the temple (the earth) is Horus, the Crowned and Conquering Child. And again, Egyptology and psychology help us to understand what is implied, and what effect to expect, in the world of thought and action.[ix]

Though Crowley was referring to his timelines of majestic Aeons (time periods revealed to him through an “intelligence entity” known as Aiwass during his search for enlightenment [much like John Dee and his search for enlightenment through communication with “angels”]), and not to the Great Seal symbolism specifically, the Egyptian triad or trinity of Isis/Osiris/Horus was one that had been deeply embedded in the esoteric Mysteries (translation: religion of the Freemasons) that the 33rd-degree Freemason Crowley celebrated and that Hall referred to prior.

Earlier, we used the following quote from Hall’s Secret Teachings of All Ages:

The black magician cannot use the symbols of white magic without bringing down upon himself the forces of white magic, which would be fatal to his schemes. He must therefore distort the hierograms so that they typify the occult fact that he himself is distorting the principles for which the symbols stand. Black magic is not a fundamental art; it is the misuse of an art. Therefore it has no symbols of its own. It merely takes the emblematic figures of white magic, and by inverting and reversing them signifies that it is left-handed.[x]

In the article, “The All-Seeing Eye: Sacred Origins of a Hijacked Symbol” by David Percival of The Conscious Reporter, we see that Hall was not the only one to point out that symbols can be either misused intentionally or combined with others to “hijack” its original purpose in trade for a veiled evil:

Is the all-seeing eye a symbol of divine omniscience or sinister influence? Today it symbolises control and domination by a shadowy elite, but its original use was quite different.…

Today the all-seeing eye is more likely to be seen as an “Illuminati” symbol of control and surveillance by elites who to a large degree run the show on this planet at this time. This is because, over time, dark sinister forces have taken over esoteric symbols that for thousands of years were used to convey positive, helpful, uplifting spiritual messages and principles. The all-seeing eye is a prime example of how spiritual symbols have been hijacked and inverted.[xi]

Again and again, we see the pattern of Freemasons “reclothing,” “distorting,” “warping,” “inverting,” and “hijacking” symbols to make them appear as one thing to the general public but point to that “peculiar and particular purpose” behind the veil, which we will disclose in the next entry… (Click to Site)

Kosher medical marijuana to go on sale in New York after firm secures Jewish dietary certification

The World Is Going Mad.

The New York company said the certification will remove the stigma that some associate with the use of the drug

There were apparently some people in New York for whom the idea of medical marijuana- in one local parlance – simply wasn’t kosher. Now they can rest easy.

This week it was announced that a company is set to start selling what is believed to be the first certified kosher medical cannabis and target the the dietary and medical needs of the largest Jewish community in the US.

Vireo Health said its non-smokable medical cannabis products have been certified as conforming to the Jewish dietary law by the Orthodox Union (OU).

“Being certified kosher by the OU will not only help us serve the dietary needs of the largest Jewish community in the United States, but also combat unfortunate stigmas associated with medical cannabis,” Ari Hoffnung, the company’s CEO, said in a statement. (Click to Article)

Yet another psych drug shooter: Oregon gunman Christopher Mercer was taking five types of medication, likely vaccine-damaged with autism spectrum disorder

(NaturalNews) New information is now emerging about Christopher Mercer, the now-deceased shooter who recently killed and injured numerous victims at the Oregon community college (Umpqua Community College). While the mainstream media follows the predictable script of blaming guns for the violence, we now know that Mercer was almost certainly damaged by vaccines and medications, altering his mind and leading to the violent behavior that we see so often when psychiatric medications are involved.

We now know that Harper was possibly vaccine-damaged because he suffered from Asperger’s syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder. As printed in The New York Times:

[Mercer’s mother] opened up about her difficulties raising a son who used to bang his head against the wall, and said that both she and her son struggled with Asperger’s syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder…

In addition to talking about guns, Ms. Harper, 64, was a prolific commenter in online forums dealing with medical issues, frequently answering questions from strangers with a tone of empathy and concern. She expressed having expertise in autism, saying that both she and her son — whom she never identified by name — had Asperger’s syndrome. (Click to Article)
