White South African farm activist is stabbed and beaten to death at her home in horrifying hammer attack

  • Annette Kennealy, 51, was beaten and stabbed to death on her farm in Limpopo
  • A male suspect, 40, has been arrested and will appear before court
  • Kennealy was publicly outspoken about attacks on white Afrikaner farmers
  • Comes as South African government pushes ahead with plans to expropriate land without compensation to correct the ‘historic imbalance’ of apartheid

A South African activist who spoke out against attacks on white farmers has been found stabbed and beaten to death on her own farm.

Annette Kennealy, 51, was killed on a smallholding in Limpopo province on either Monday night or Tuesday morning where she had been staying with an employee, police said.

The alarm was raised by Ms Kennealy’s mother, Kim Labuschagne, after she tried and failed to get in touch with her daughter on Tuesday.

A male relative then went to the farm where Ms Kennealy’s body was found face-down in a pool of blood.

MassResistance helping people stop the tyrannical LGBT “Equality Act” now in Congress

Would re-write nation’s Civil Rights laws to force compliance with radical homosexual and transgender agenda – in all facets of life!

Equates true “civil rights” with sexual perversion. See powerful VIDEO below!

We launched effort to help people take it directly to their Congressmen!

May 7, 2019

The US House of Representatives is poised to pass the most extreme and tyrannical national LGBT law in history. Bill HR5, deceitfully titled the “Equality Act,” would radically re-write the nation’s Civil Rights laws to force the homosexual and transgender agendas into the lives of every citizen, with oppressive penalties for those who refuse. (See HR5 summary and text.)

For months, MassResistance has been working to derail this – helping citizens target their Congressmen, especially those in key House positions.

An unbelievably horrible bill

We’ve all seen the horrors that have already happened following various state and local pro-LGBT laws, along with similar Obama-era federal directives: Bakers, photographers, and others being sued. Businesses forced to hire “transgenders.” Schools forced to allow boys to play on girls’ sports teams and change in girls’ locker rooms. A teacher fired for refusing to use a “transgender” student’s preferred pronouns. Courts overruling parents’ objections to their minor child’s “transition” treatments. Aggressive LGBT indoctrination required in K-12 schools, hospitals, and businesses with government contracts. A New York City law stipulating heavy fines for “misgendering” someone.

But that’s just the beginning. The national LGBT lobby has crafted an extremely tyrannical bill that includes all the issues above and much more – all woven into the federal Civil Rights laws! Nothing like this has ever been seen anywhere.

Dangers of the “Equality Act”

  • It would force compliance of the radical (and lunatic) LGBT agenda into every person’s life – in businesses, public accommodations, jury selection, schools, hospitals and clinics, social life, even churches!
  • It would empower the Department of Justice to enforce the Act in federal courts.
  • It writes into federal law radical concepts (“sexual orientation” and “gender identity”) and creates a protected class for people with a psychiatric disorder (“gender dysphoria”).
  • The bill is purposefully loosely written – to ensure latitude for the activist judges.
  • It gives only minimal, vague definitions for the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity,” guaranteeing that legal chaos will ensue. For example, many radicals consider pedophilia a “sexual orientation” – which could end up becoming protected! What other perverted practices might be protected? ProstitutionBDSM (bondage and sadomasochism), bestiality.
  • The legal definition of “sex” (the biological category of male or female) would be altered to include (undefined) “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” everywhere the word “sex” appears in federal non-discrimination law.
  • The Act hijacks the legitimate Civil Rights movement by incorporating the LGBT agenda into the nation’s civil rights laws. Thus, it equates the civil rights of racial minorities – based on immutable characteristics – with chosen sexual perversions. This is extremely offensive to black Americans who fought so hard for their rights! Yet members of Congress seem to have no problem with this immoral equation.
  • The Act would acknowledge “same-sex marriage” in official federal law – rather than just leaving it a dishonest Supreme Court decision (like the Dred Scott and abortion rulings).
  • In one curious section of the bill (which expands the list of “public accommodations” covered by anti-discrimination law), we are informed: “Many places of public accommodation recognize the economic imperative to offer goods and services to as many consumers as possible.” This passage could be used to protect “transgender” men using women’s bathrooms and locker rooms, BDSM orgies in hotels, or pedophile conferences.
  • Goodbye to freedom of religion on LGBT issues. Many have noted that religious speech critical of “sexual orientation and gender identity” could be considered unlawful discrimination. Not even churches will be exempt as they could be considered “public accommodations” (“a place or establishment that provides … gathering…; any establishment that provides a good, service, or program”).

Powerful forces behind it

The usual crowd of powerful (and fanatical) anti-family and anti-Christian forces is behind this.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has made this bill a top priority to pass this year. It has 240 co-sponsors among the US House members, including several Republicans. Over 150 major US corporations, as well as the US Chamber of Commerce, are aggressively supporting it.

Here is our information page on HR5 – the Equality Act,including a collection of excellent articles from various pro-family groups describing it in detail.

MassResistance got in this fight early

Congressional Democrats had introduced a somewhat weaker version HR5 in previous years, but it got no traction under the Republican House majority. This year, with the Democrats in control again, Nancy Pelosi had promised to pass a super-charged version of it.

Bill HR5 was formally introduced on March 13, 2019, but MassResistance got into this battle several weeks before that. Back in January, we began discussing this with a group of prominent pastors and pro-family activists. From that, the ad-hoc group “Gone2Far” came together. It was clear to everyone that the “Equality Act” would be a huge threat to Christians and would criminalize their beliefs on LGBT issues.

The pastors in the group were especially outraged by the repulsive insult to black Americans who remember the true Civil Rights movement. That sexual perversion could piggy-back on their legitimate struggle is beyond belief. But possibly even worse, the Congressional Black Caucus, made up mostly of Democrats, is clearly supporting this hideous bill to please their Party, while completely abandoning their constituents back home.

The Gone2Far group determined that a top priority must be to pressure these despicable Congressional Black Caucus members to OPPOSE this bill!

The battle began in February – A press conference in Washington DC!

On Feb. 5, 2019, the new Gone2Far group held a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

ALT TEXTThe National Press Club, located in the National Press Building in downtown Washington DC, is the major venue for the establishment media.

The speakers were: Dr. Randy Short of Washington, DC; Pastor Stephen Broden of Dallas; Pastor Dan Fisher of Oklahoma; Pastor Stephen Black of Oklahoma; Pastor Scott Lively of Springfield, MA; Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth; and Brian Camenker of MassResistance.

The press conference was a barn-burner! Dr. Short and Pastor Broden gave a shot across the bow to the political establishment of both parties. They said loud and clear that (1) America will not stand for the Civil Rights movement being made part of the destructive homosexual and transgender movement. (2) The Congressional Black Caucus is being held responsible for this, and they had better remember exactly who they represent.

VIDEO: Black Pastors tell the truth about the “Equality Act”! (12 min 34 sec)

Some of the speakers at the press conference that day included:

Pastor Stephen Broden
Dr. Randy Short
Peter LaBarbera holds up our book, “The Health Hazards of Homosexuality” durng his speech.
Brian Camenker of MassResistance

The room was nearly full, but none of the major conservative press outlets that were there (and at least one of them brought a video crew!) subsequently wrote anything about it. The message that day was clearly too hard-hitting and controversial, even for them. But no matter – this will not stay bottled up!

ALT TEXTBreitbart even sent a videographer to cover the event — then punted on actually reporting on it!

After the press conference, the Gone2Far group has continued to spread the message about the upcoming bill around the country. And MassResistance began planning our next steps.

ALT TEXTThe press conference certainly got the attention of the rabid LGBT movement. This reporter for the infantile “Right Wing Watch” (center, holding camera) sat in the front row. After being in a room with conservatives who aren’t afraid to tell the truth he went back and had a meltdown!

The following month, on March 15, the “Equality Act” was introduced and prominent pro-family groups have joined the fight.

ALT TEXTPastor Scott Lively, also a speaker that day, is interviewed by a local conservative reporter after the press conference.

Taking it directly to members of Congress – in their districts!

This is where MassResistance is different than the other national groups.

Other groups have done an excellent job of informing people and educating them about the dangers of this horrible bill. They have also brought powerful speakers to testify at the Congressional hearings and talk before the national press. And they encourage people to contact their Congressmen, or members of the House committees taking up the bill. That’s all very important.

But MassResistance has been organizing people on the ground. When Democrat members of Congress pushing this bill have been in their districts holding “town hall” events or other activities, we try to be there to confront them on this bill. We make them talk about it. We make them answer the hard questions. We make it very clear that they need to cater to their constituents – not well-heeled special interests who want to subvert America’s laws. This is very important, also!

We started out “at the top” – at the town hall of the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Katy Hill, whose district is in suburban Los Angeles. It was a bit of a shock for her! From there we’ve been in Maryland, Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, Texas, and other parts of California. We are organizing people in New York (5 districts!), South Carolina, and Virginia.

In our next post, we will write about our confrontation at Rep. Katy Hill’s town hall. You’ll see for yourself what it looks like! (Click to Source)

HHS Extends Contract to Make ‘Humanized Mice’ With Aborted Baby Parts for Another 90 Days

By Terence P. Jeffrey | March 1, 2019 | 5:16 PM EST

(CNSNews.com) – The Department of Health and Human Services says it has granted a second 90-day extension to a contract it has with the University of California at San Francisco that requires UCSF to make “humanized mice.”

These creatures are made by implanting mice with human tissues taken from late-term aborted babies.

The HHS’s multi-million-dollar contract with UCSF that requires the construction of these “humanized mice” creates a demand–driven by federal tax dollars–for tissue taken from late-term aborted babies. According to an estimate it has published on its website, the National Institutes of Health (which is a division of HHS) will spend $95 million this fiscal year alone on research that–like UCSF’s “humanized mouse” contract–uses human fetal tissue.

Under the new 90-day extension, the contract—which the government calls “Humanized Mouse Models for HIV Therapeutics Development”–will run through June 5.

HHS also is still in the process of conducting the “comprehensive review” it announced last September “of all research involving fetal tissue.”

That review was initiated to ensure that all federally funded research using human fetal tissue is consistent “with statutes and regulations governing such research, and to ensure the adequacy of procedures and oversight of this research in light of the serious regulatory, moral, and ethical considerations involved.”

“The UCSF contract has been issued another extension,” HHS said on Friday in response to questions from CNSNews.com about the contract and the review.

“We will provide an update on the review once it has concluded and as appropriate,” HHS said.

As CNSNews.com first reported on Oct. 17, 2018, the National Institutes of Health, which is part of HHS, originally signed its “humanized mouse” contract with UCSF on Dec. 6, 2013. The contract was for a one-year period and gave the government the option of renewing it for up to six additional one-year periods through Dec. 5, 2020.

According to contract information published on the Federal Procurement Data System, the new three-month extension will pay UCSF $521,082—bringing the total payments the federal government has made to UCSF for this contract to $10,596,960.

If the government continues renewing the contract through Dec. 5, 2020, HHS would end up paying UCSF a total of $13,799,501.

The contract specifically requires researchers at UCSF to make two different types of “humanized mice” both of which are “engrafted with human fetal liver and thymus.”

The “Statement of Work” in the original contract solicitation said that the contractor would be required to make one “cohort” of “up to 50” mice per month of the first type of humanized mouse and another cohort of “up to 40” mice per month of the second type. The statement said each of these two cohorts of “humanized mice” should be made “with tissue from a single donor”—meaning a single aborted baby.

The Statement of Work for the “Humanized Mouse Models for HIV Therapeutics Development” contract says the contractor shall make one “cohort” per month of two types of humanized mice. Each of these (one numbering up to 50 mice and the other up to 40) will be made with human fetal thymus and liver tissue taken from “a single donor.”

The Statement of Work for this federal contract specifically charged the contractor with the obligation to “[o]btain the necessary human fetal tissues for use under the contract.”

An article published in the Jan. 12, 2016 issue of Stem Cell Reports, which discussed research funded by the contract, described humanized mice that were created by engrafting them with human fetal bone marrow, liver and thymus taken from babies who were 20-to-24 weeks in gestational age.

Another article discussing research under the contract was published in the Feb. 27, 2017 issue of Pathogens. This article described another type of humanized mouse that was engrafted with “fetal gut tissues” taken from babies at 18-to-24 weeks in gestational age.

On Dec. 4, 2018, one day before the contract’s most recent one-year extension was set to expire, HHS gave UCSF an initial 90-day extension on the contract—rather than a full one-year extension. That 90-day extension was set to expire on March 5. But with the new 90-day extension signed on Feb. 19, the contract is now set to run through June 5.

On Dec. 5, 2018, HHS published a statement in response to a story that the Washington Post published about the UCSF contract that cited an unnamed “virologist” and an unnamed “university spokeswoman” in reporting that the NIH had informed the contract’s principal investigator that the government was ending the contract.

“According to the virologist, the principal investigator was told in a telephone conversation with an NIH employee last Wednesday that the AIDS division was exercising its discretion to discontinue the contract,” the Post reported then.

“A university spokeswoman, speaking on condition of anonymity because she had no authorization to discuss the matter, confirmed the university was informed last week the contract was not being extended,” the Post said.

But HHS refuted this story.

“No decision has been made on the extension of a University of California San Francisco contract with the NIH regarding research involving fetal tissue,” HHS said in a Dec. 5 statement responding to the Post’s report.

“A decision will be made when the contract has been reviewed, pursuant to the ongoing audit/review process,” the HHS statement said.

HHS also released at that time the full text of a statement by HHS Spokesperson Caitlin Oakley that HHS said it had given to the Post. Oakley’s statement said:

“In September, HHS issued a statement announcing an audit would be conducted of all acquisitions involving human fetal tissue to ensure conformity with procurement and human fetal tissue research laws and regulations. In addition, HHS has initiated a comprehensive review of all research involving fetal tissue to ensure consistency with statutes and regulations governing such research, and to ensure the adequacy of procedures and oversight of this research in light of the serious considerations involved. Regarding the extension on the UC San Francisco contract, no final decision has been made. A decision will be made when the contract has been reviewed, pursuant to the ongoing audit/review process. There is a provision for continuity of work while the contract is being reviewed.”

On Jan. 10, CNSNews.com published a story about the initial 90-day extension that HHS had granted UCSF’s humanized mouse contract on Dec. 5.

“The contract remains on the 90-day extension to ensure continuity of service until the audit is completed and a final decision can be made about the contract,” the NIH said in response to questions from CNSNews.com at that time.

“During the 90-day extension,” the NIH said then, “the NIH Contracting Officer Representative can instruct UCSF to produce new mouse cohorts, obtain or engraft new fetal tissue, and/or start new in vitro or humanized mouse studies that are not already planned, if deemed scientifically necessary.” (Click to Source)

The Military Wants Genetically-Modified Sea Creatures to Snitch on Enemy Ships

Critics of the militarization of marine life say the problem with a new DARPA program is moral, not practical.

The US military wants to enlist fish and other sea life to help it track enemy submarines at sea. The Persistent Aquatic Living Sensors program could also modify existing species to make them better underwater spies, an effort that would face stiff opposition from environmental groups.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Pentagon’s blue-sky research and development wing, announced the PALS earlier this month. The program “will study natural and modified organisms to determine which ones could best support sensor systems that detect the movement of manned and unmanned underwater vehicles,” DARPA stated on its website.

The idea is that marine life—everything from bacteria to plankton and corals to fish and mammals—senses and in some way reacts to the presence of nearby ships. To DARPA, those reactions represent valuable data. “The program simply plans to observe the natural, unique behaviors of marine organisms in the presence of targets of interest, and to process those data to provide an alert,” Jared Adams, a DARPA spokesperson, told me via email.

If the military can develop a system for detecting ocean life’s reactions to passing vessels, it could in theory monitor all the world’s oceans for enemy activity—and do so more cheaply and effectively than with purely manmade sensors. “Beyond sheer ubiquity, sensor systems built around living organisms would offer a number of advantages over hardware alone,” DARPA stated.

For one, sea life “self-replicates and self-sustains”—that is, breeds—so the military wouldn’t have to maintain hardware that breaks down, rusts, and runs out of power. Moreover, sea life senses its environment in a number of different ways, potentially giving military analysts a more comprehensive view of the oceans.

“Evolution has given marine organisms the ability to sense stimuli across domains—tactile, electrical, acoustic, magnetic, chemical and optical,” DARPA explained. “Even extreme low light is not an obstacle to organisms that have evolved to hunt and evade in the dark.”

PALS concept art. ImageL DARPA

We don’t know how exactly PALS would work in practice. Right now, DARPA considers the program to be a “fundamental research program,” Adams said. Military scientists would have to figure out how to record, on a massive scale and at great distances, animals’ reactions to nearby ships. They would need to write computer code to process raw data from two-thirds of Earth’s surface into useable intelligence.

And there’s another obstacle: the objections of people and organizations opposed to the militarization of sea-dwelling creatures. “It is bad enough that the military regularly conducts exercises that impact large numbers of whales and dolphins, but now they want to actually involve marine mammals in their plans rather than just making them the victims,” John Hocevar, Greenpeace USA’s oceans campaigner, told me via email.

Adams said that DARPA would not include endangered species and “intelligent mammals” in the PALS program, but it’s not clear how the agency defines “intelligent.” The US Navy already uses trained dolphins and sea lions to find underwater mines and other objects. Nor has DARPA explained how it proposes to separate data provided by, say, an endangered tuna species from similar input from tuna species that aren’t endangered.

Equally worrying, DARPA proposes to modify some species in order to optimize their senses for detecting manmade objects. The resulting breeds would essentially be genetically-modified organisms and could disrupt or even collapse existing ecosystems.

Adams said DARPA would create and test modified species strictly in “contained, biosecure facilities.” But to actually deploy modified species, the military would have to release them into the wild, where they could drive out, outeat, or outbreed unmodified species.

For Sea Shepherd, a Washington State-based ocean conservation group, the problem with PALS is moral rather than practical. Possible harm to marine life is “beside the point,” spokesperson Heather Stimmler told me via email. “We believe marine mammals should be left alone in the ocean where they belong to live their lives as nature intended, not ‘used’ by anyone for any reason.”

For now, DARPA is moving forward with its effort to enlist sea life. The agency has announced a meeting in Virginia on March 2 for interested researchers. (Click to Source)

Christian Transhumanists On “How We Have To Help God Redeem Mankind Through Modifying Ourselves”

Artificial Intelligence, Transhumanism and the Church: How Should Christians Respond?

christian-transhumanism

As artificial intelligence and emerging technology continue to develop at breakneck speed, Christians have no choice but to engage given the staggering implications it’s already having for ministry and the broader culture, scholars say.

For many followers of Jesus, the explosive use of digital devices like smartphones and an ever-growing number of social media utilities are challenging enough to deal with, especially when it comes to raising children. As leaders in the tech industry place their own children in schools where technology is not available and even home use is discouraged, many are also increasingly concerned about a burgeoning, smartphone-fueled mental health crisis.

But wholly rejecting or ignoring technology will only worsen conditions for everyone, according to two tech experts who spoke with The Christian Post. What Christians need to reject is their ignorance of the subject, they say, and a re-examination of their priorities is in order.

Fabrice Jotterand, a professor of Swiss nationality who teaches at a Wisconsin medical school and is a renowned scholar in neuroethics, recounted in a CP interview last week that most believers are simply unaware that AI technology is in fact already here.

“People think it is science fiction, it’s something of the future, or it’s in the movies. And I think that there is a kind of naiveté about these technologies,” Jotterand said, as this industry is in dire need of voices providing serious ethical and theological reflection. He is presently writing a book titled, The Unfit Brain and the Limits of Moral Bioenhancement.

“We shouldn’t say all technology, all AI, is necessarily, inherently bad,” he said, arguing that it’s vital to distinguish between transhumanism and AI because all too often people mistakenly conflate them.

“Transhumanism is the idea that you’re going to transcend human biological nature using technology; at the basis you still have a human being using technology to enhance his or her capacities,” he explained.

By contrast, “AI is basically a new entity, an entity that in some ways replicates some of the attributes of the human being.”

Yet most of the confusion exists around the notion of embodiment, he went on to say, a confusion rooted in a Gnostic mindset that pervades the transhumanist creed. And it is not an exaggeration to consider transhumanism a religious cult of sorts, one that proposes immortality on its own terms and amounts to the very erasure of what makes us human, he stressed.

Indeed, already these beliefs have taken shape in a futuristic movement called Terasem, which was formed in 2002 by Martine Rothblatt, a transwoman and multimillionaire CEO of United Therapeutics, along with his wife, Bina. Rothblatt also has a robot clone of his wife called Bina 48 who looks like the real Bina Rothblatt and has received many uploads of information from her life. According to its website, Terasem is based on four pillars: (1) Life is purposeful. (2) Death is optional. (3) God is technological. And (4) Love is essential.

The Terasem “Beliefs” page plainly states: “Nobody dies so long as enough information about them is preserved. They are simply in a state of ‘cybernetic biostasis.’ Future mindware technology will enable them to be revived, if desired, to healthy and independent living.”

The movement claims with regard to God being technological: “We are making God as we are implementing technology that is ever more all-knowing, ever-present, all-powerful and beneficent. Geoethical nanotechnology will ultimately connect all consciousness and control the cosmos.”

Meanwhile, futurist Ray Kurzweil, who works on Google’s machine learning project, has said in recent months that by year 2029 what is known as “singularity” — the total merging of human and computer intelligence — will be achieved.

Jotterand explained that an essential aspect of transhumanism is “that the body is totally irrelevant to our identity as a human being” and that “the body becomes something you can manipulate at will and doesn’t have any normative stand in defining who we are as human beings.”

In other words, from the transhumanist perspective, what defines a human person is what is inside the brain and if the contents can be uploaded onto a hard drive then that would still be you.

With AI, a larger challenge emerges, namely: “What kind of relationship will humans have with it?” he said. Already headlines are telling of people wanting to marry and have sexual relations with robots.

Other quandaries now upon us, which most Christians never thought they would even have to ask or think about, center on the social status of robots in the law.

“If we define legal personhood based on certain functions or tasks it will mean that the robot has rights, and disabled people or individuals with a handicap of some kind might then have a lesser status,” Jotterand pointed out.

“And this is where we need to be very careful,” he added. “Are we using these robots and AI to fulfill human ends or are we allowing them to be autonomous and fulfill their own purpose?”

European thinkers have been exploring many of these themes for some time, the professor noted, referencing German philosopher Martin Heidegger’s 1926 essay “The Question Concerning Technology,” in which he maintains that technology indelibly “enframes” human beings.

Whatever one makes of Heidegger’s writings and other work, “think about an iPhone or a smartphone, you [practically] cannot function in this world” without one now, Jotterand said. He urged Christians to consider how much Facebook and Google govern so much of their thinking and daily decision-making.

“My advice would be to be aware that this technology exists and know how it works, but use it to promote the human good and put boundaries [around it].”

“Unless we become the Amish of the world with regard to technology and say, ‘Nope, we’re not really going to touch technology’ … but then we don’t function. And so what we need to do is earn our place around the table and shape these discussions in a way that honors God and protects human dignity.”

Christopher Benek, who has written extensively on transhumanism for CP and is an internationally recognized expert on emerging technology and theology, said in a recent interview that the first thing for Christians to remember is that almost all of us are already using AI in our cell phones and other digital devices.

“When I start to talk with people [about this subject] I say, ‘Let’s back up a bit,'” Benek said.

“If we look at God and we have some concept that God created us, that means we are already God’s alternative intelligence, as I like to say, God’s AI.”

Benek is a Presbyterian pastor in southern Florida and the founding chair of the Christian Transhumanist Association. He stressed in the interview that the healthiest way of interacting with this subject theologically is to take what we know about theology and begin to converse about what is helpful, recognizing that AI can be used for evil or good much in the same way nuclear physics can be utilized to either make murderous weaponry or to provide a clean energy source.

“Christ started a redemptive process that we are called to participate in, to actually help in the redemption — Christ has already secured the victory — but as co-creators, like as with a parent and a child, to co-create alongside God. So there is no reason to think that God wouldn’t empower us to create AI and create very powerful AI to help in those redemptive purposes,” Benek said.

This requires the recognition that all matter is essentially technology, something that is to be stewarded like anything else, he said.

In November, Benek traveled to Japan and was the first ever pastor to speak at the International Conference for Social Robotics.

“What was fascinating was how amazed they were at the insights I had with regard to the robots they were building. And part of the reason I have that insight is that I deal with people who build robots and AI.”

The creative processes involved in the making of this technology is inextricably linked to who human beings are and the reflections and iterations of themselves that are projected onto what they build, he explained; and if Christians are formed as people in ways that emulate Jesus Christ, then their technological creations will benefit humanity and further His purposes in the world.

Echoing Jotterand, Benek strongly believes that the Church has no option but to engage these issues immediately and be a part of the ethical conversations surrounding widespread technology use. He recently counseled a foreign government that had solicited his advice (he could not say which country) to invest a billion of their currency toward AI safety.

An additional concern many Christian leaders have today is how emerging technology might thwart our very humanity particularly as it changes the economy and labor market. Southern Baptist leader Russell Moore, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, wrote in December that he was especially nervous about driverless cars dependent on AI technology.

“What happens to a view of work when increased automation seems to be constantly ‘disrupting’ careers and even entire industries? Unlike previous generations of Western people, ours increasingly has little understanding of the world our parents and grandparents lived in, in which one expected to learn a skill, find a job, and remain in it, or perhaps be promoted upward through it, for life. Those days are gone,” he said.

“Instead, increasingly, younger people find they must compete in a ‘gig economy’ where they may change jobs multiple times in a five-year period, if they can even find work at all.”

CP asked Benek how churches might respond and minister to those who face potential job losses and the ever-growing crisis of smartphone technology addiction among youth, a problem likely to increase if current trends continue.

“How do we expect our children not to be addicted to a phone if they haven’t been formed in the teachings of Christ to know otherwise? If they don’t know what an idol is, they are not going to know. We as Christian adults, we have to moderate ourselves on these things,” he replied.

“The church has forsaken the gospel to maintain the institution of the church. And so if we continue to worry about property and buildings and not about people then you will continue to see [bad] results and we’ll have no one to blame but ourselves.”

But Benek believes automation is the biggest opportunity the church has had in front of it since the Reformation to be relevant. He is currently drafting an overture to the General Assembly for the Presbyterian Church of America asking them to consider emerging technology and have some kind of formal council that issues recommendations to churches about how to deal with these issues.

For those who do not think the subject matter is relevant in the church, Benek asks: “Stand up in your pulpit on Sunday morning and look out and imagine half of those people being unemployed. What are you going to do when that happens?”

“Tech will reform the church if we do not get involved. And maybe God will use that technology to reform the church so we are more interested in the gospel and less in property and in stuff because tech will take it away from us and we’ll actually have to worry about people.”

He further observed that many people, Christians included, are experiencing this unique moment of exponential growth in technology in a way that has never been felt before, a feeling that can be unsettling. Whereas inventions like the printing press and the steam engine punctuated history in ways that fundamentally changed how human beings interacted with each other, technological breakthroughs are occurring so quickly it is hard to keep track. And the potential for seemingly everything to change all of a sudden is now a reality.

For Christians who spurn most technology or find the idea of becoming a modern day Luddite appealing, Benek urges them to consider what happened to the actual Luddites, the bands of English textile workers and weavers who in the early 19th century destroyed machinery, especially in the cotton and woolen mills, the technology they believed threatened their livelihoods.

“The thing to remember about the Luddites is that technology still won. It’s still won the day. The tech is coming; the question is whether or not we are going to address it,” Benek said.

While in Japan conversing with the roboticists, Benek ended up sharing key parts of the gospel message, telling them that God made them to be co-creators with Jesus Christ and that He cares about what they do, that they are part of the redemption of the world.

“This one woman choked up and raised her hand,” he recounted, and she said through tears, “You mean God cares about me?”

“If that doesn’t speak to the need as church people, then what the heck are we doing? We need to get out there and connecting with people in ways that are real, and we need tech people to come along and scoop some pastors up and say, ‘you know what, we need you in this field.'” (Click to Source)

Japan To Allow Creation Of PART HUMAN / PART ANIMAL EMBRYOS FOR IMPLANTATION, GESTATION TO BIRTH FOR ORGAN HARVESTING

Japan to drop restriction on human-animal embryos

Japan’s science ministry is set to give researchers the green light to implant fertilized eggs containing both human and animal cells into the uteruses of animals. The goal is to grow human organs for transplantation.

Reversing a previous ban, a panel of experts on Monday basically approved a draft report opening the door to studies of human-animal chimeric embryos.

Such embryos are created by injecting human cells into fertilized animal eggs.

Researchers in other countries, including the United States, have been trying to grow human pancreases and other organs in pigs to use for transplantation.

But Japan bans the implantation of such embryos into animal uteruses.

Although the draft report allows chimeric embryos to be implanted, it forbids studies into growing human brain tissue inside animals.

Panel members cite the need to study overseas cases to see whether there is any risk of creating beings that are neither human nor animal.

The draft bans inseminating the reproductive cells of chimeras to produce offspring because such cells could contain human DNA.

The ministry plans to solicit public opinions before finalizing revisions to current guidelines.

The panel’s chief, Shinichi Kosaka , says implanting the chimeric embryos has been approved because of the scientific significance.

He says the panel will keep a close eye on subsequent research to prevent the creation of human-animal hybrids. (Click to Source)

GREAT PYRAMID HIDING A STARGATE? Scientist Suggests There Is A Mysterious Object Hidden In Unexplored Cavity That Pharaoh Used “To Pass Through The Gates Of The Sky”

Giza Pyramid: Scientist Suggests There is an ‘Iron Throne’ in Unexplored Cavity

The newly discovered cavity in the Giza Pyramid has left scientists around the world wondering what lies inside the mysterious chamber. Italian mathematician Giulio Magli may have some answers.

In November 2017, the magazine Nature published the results of the ScanPyramids project revealing that there is a large cavity at least 30 meters long within the Pyramid of Cheops (Giza Pyramid) in Egypt. Since then, scientists and archaeologists around the world have been trying to discover what this void contains and what its purpose was.

Giulio Magli, professor of Mathematics and Archaeoastronomy at the Politecnico di Milano, has proposed one of the first hypotheses; his conclusions were published by Eurekalert.

According to the scientist, the newly found chamber was hardly a mistake made during the construction, neither did it carry an architectural function such as reducing the load on the main corridor of the pyramid, as some experts have suggested.

Magli believes that the answer can be found in the burial religion of the ancient Egypt.

“There is a possible interpretation, which is in good agreement with what we know about the Egyptian funerary religion as witnessed in the Pyramids Texts. In these texts it is said that the pharaoh, before reaching the stars of the north, will have to pass the “gates of the sky” and sit on his “throne of iron,” Magli was reported as saying by Eurekalert.

“The room may contain, at its upper end and exactly under the apex of the great pyramid, an object needed by Cheops after crossing the doors: the “iron throne” mentioned in the Pyramid Texts,” Magli said.

The scientist noted that in the pyramid there are four “air ducts” along which the spirit of the deceased ruler could “get out”, while the passage leading to the north ends with a sealed door. It is behind this door, according to Magli, that there is chamber containing the throne.

He recalled that inside the same pyramid the throne of Cheop’s mother Queen Hetepheres had been discovered. It had a low cedar base covered in gold and faience.

“Cheops’ could be similar, but coated with thin iron sheets. Of course it would not be melted iron, but meteoritic iron, that is, fallen from the sky in the form of Iron meteorites [distinguishable due to the high percentage of Nickel] and again cited in the Texts,” Magli said.

The pyramid of Cheops also known as the Giza Pyramid is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, which was built in the middle of the third millennium BC, at the time of Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops), representative of the Fourth Dynasty of the Ancient Egyptian Kingdom.

The structure, 145 meters in height and 230 meters in width, remains one of the tallest and largest structures ever built by mankind. (Click to Source)

Top official reveals UFOs exist, and they’re “often being reported” over nuclear power plants… “We’d never seen anything like it” — Military: “Ominous correlation” between sightings and atomic sites — TV: “Mystery intruders over nuke facilities”

ufonuke-300x176

CNN, Dec 18, 2017 (emphasis added): A former Pentagon official who led a recently revealed government program to research potential UFOs said Monday evening that he believes there is evidence of alien life reaching Earth. “My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone,” Luis Elizondo said… “We found a lot,” Elizondo said. The former Pentagon official said they… were “seemingly defying the laws of aerodynamics… maneuvering in ways that include extreme maneuverability beyond, I would submit, the healthy G-forces of a human or anything biological”…

New York Times, Dec 16, 2017: By 2009, [Sen. Harry] Reid decided that the program had made such extraordinary discoveries that he argued for heightened security… A 2009 Pentagon briefing summary of the program prepared by its director at the time asserted that “what was considered science fiction is now science fact,” and that the United States was incapable of defending itself against some of the technologies discovered…

The Independent, Dec 19, 2017: US government recovered materials from unidentified flying object it ‘does not recognise’ … Materials, which are alleged to have “amazing properties”, are being stored in modified buildings in Las Vegas, the New York Times reports… “They have some material from these objects that is being studied, so that scientists can try to figure out what accounts for their amazing properties,” Ralf Blumenthal, one of the authors of the New York Times report, told MSNBC. Mr Blumenthal said the DoD “do not know” what the materials are made of. “It’s some sort of compound they do not recognise,” he added…

Politico, Dec 16, 2017: The sightings, [Luis Elizondo (official in charge of the Pentagon’s program)] told POLITICO, were often reported in the vicinity of nuclear facilities, either ships at sea or power plants. “We had never seen anything like it.”.

KLAS, Jul 7, 2016: A group of more than 150 military veterans, missile officers, and security personnel, including many who worked at the Nevada Test Site, say they’ve seen mystery intruders over nuclear facilities… The I-Team’s own Freedom of Information Act request filed in 1992 produced a thick stack of documents from the Department of Energy, indicating UFO incidents over every major atomic weapons facility

Documentary – UFOs and Nukes (IMDb), 2016: (at 3:30 in) Declassified US government documents reveal that as early as December 1948 incursions by mysterious aerial objects later referred to as UFOs began to occur at American nuclear laboratories… (at 13:00 in) According to military intelligence officers, a worrisome pattern had begun to emerge. On July 1, 1952, Look Magazine featured an article “Hunt for the flying saucer” about the air force’s new UFO investigations group Project Blue Book and noted that its director first lieutenant Edward Ruppelt had plotted 63 unexplained sightings on a map of the United States. At that point it was discovered that a quote “ominous correlation” existed between some of the sightings and the location of various atomic weapons installations.

Look Magazine, Jul 1, 1952:  Ruppelt keeps 63 sightings on the top of his file… These sightings were pinpointed on a map.  Soon afterwards, it was seen by a Pentagon representative who noted that a number of concentrations duplicated exactly the area of atomic energy installations. The Pentagon man excitedly reported back to his headquarters.  A conference was called immediately in Washington. (Click to Source)

DARPA Can Exterminate Humanity: ‘You Could Feasibly WIPE OUT The Human Race’

mechanicalmosquito-e1513263415682

One of the most dangerous experiments that mankind has ever embarked upon is DARPA’s desire for gene drive technology. Scientists now have the knowledge and the tools they need to create and deliver “Doomsday genes” which can selectively target and exterminate an entire species.

According to Sputnik News, and as previously reported by SHTFPlan,  the United States highly-secretive and advanced military research body DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) announced that it will invest tens of millions of dollars into genetic extinction research. While the official aim of this research is said to be fighting harmful insects, like mosquitos which carry Malaria, there are significantly darker implications and speculations surrounding the possible use of such a tool.

Joe Joseph of The Daily Sheeple said a quick Google search would give you enough information to let you know how horrific this kind of technology can be. “…and you’ll find it fascinating just at how unbelievable a weapon this could be, how unintentionally mistakes can be made that can cause irreversible damage…irreparable damage…to the human race. And I mean, FAST!” Joseph said. “A gene drive…if let’s just say there’s a mistake, you could feasibly wipe out the human race in a very very short period of time. It’s an unbelievable tool at the disposal of madmen.”

Emails released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), suggest that the U.S.’s uber-secretive military body, DARPA, has become the world’s largest funder of this “gene drive” research.

Silvia Ribeiro, Latin America director of the ETC Group, an international organization dedicated to the conservation and sustainable advancement of cultural and ecological diversity and human rights, said:  “When it is developed under an umbrella of a military research, you get a clear notion that there can be a dual purpose of this research.”

Jim Thomas, a co-director of the ETC group which obtained the emails, said the US military’s influence in furthering this technology would strengthen the case for a moratorium. “The dual-use nature of altering and eradicating entire populations is as much a threat to peace and food security as it is a threat to ecosystems,” he said. “Militarization of gene drive funding may even contravene the Enmod convention against hostile uses of environmental modification technologies.”

But while we are on the subject of UN bans, the sanctions they placed on North Korea are being willfully ignored by the rogue regime.  It stands to reason that should a military seek the use of this technology, they will also defy the UN’s “authority.” –SHTFPlan

Humanity is known for making mistakes, but we can’t come back from an extinction of our own making. “You can call it a ‘tool’ all day, [but] it’s a weapon,” says Joseph. (Click to Source)
