Astonishing bias: 452 Islamic terror attacks in 31 countries just THIS YEAR (so far) and zero coverage from the media

Wednesday, March 20, 2019 by: JD Heyes

(Natural News) The vast majority of Americans have come to expect biased coverage from the so-called “mainstream media,” and what’s more, they have come to expect that coverage will be designed to advance the Democrats’ Left-wing agenda.

That’s according to some of the most recent polling data available.

But additional evidence also supports the contention that what the media tends to cover aren’t subjects that are of vital interest or importance to most Americans, and that the media covers ‘narratives’ it helps create, failing — intentionally — to give equal weight to similar stories.

The most recent example involves how American journalists initially covered the terrorist attack in New Zealand. Immediately after news of the attack first broke, the Democrat-aligned media filled their airwaves and bandwidth with far-Left pundits and politicians, as well as their own hosts and reporters, who were all quick to blame POTUS Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim “rhetoric.”

In the days that followed, the same Left-wing media outlets hammered on the narrative that 28-year-old alleged attacker Brenton Tarrant is a “white nationalist” and “right-wing extremist” who hates Muslims — as though only white, right-wing extremists are behaving as terrorists these days and the only people they are murdering are people of Islamic faith.

The fact is, however, that by far, the bulk of terrorist attacks this year — and in recent years — have been committed by Muslim extremists, and often against followers of other faiths. But our media doesn’t often report those and when they do, reports are quick, superficial, and fact-based. No narratives, no outraged guest analysts, and no lecturing, finger-wagging hosts. (Related: How the media distorts the New Zealand shooting to protect radical Muslim jihadis while demonizing white people.)

As reported by Natural News:

On January 27, Muslim extremists bombed a Roman Catholic cathedral on the Philippine island of Jolo, killing some 20 people and injuring dozens of others. But you probably didn’t hear about this horrific religious massacre because the perpetrators were violent Islamic terrorists that targeted Christians, which means the Leftist media pretty much completely ignored it.

In all, “there have been 453 Islamic terror attacks in 31 different countries so far this year – and these are just the ones that have been reported,” Natural News continued. “In total, just in 2019 so far, there have been a shocking 1,956 people murdered by Islamic terrorists, and another 2,019 injured, according to TheReligionOfPeace.com.”

The new ‘protected class’

While the vast majority of Americans are aware of what happened last week in New Zealand, probably an equal number are completely in the dark about the fact that there have been more than 450 terrorist attacks this year so far committed by Islamic extremists, including many against Christian believers. That’s because the American legacy media won’t report on those stories; to do so would conflict with their carefully crafted narrative that Muslims are victims and most often die at the hands of white European/American nationalists.

Naturally, if these attacks were reported with the same breathlessness, vigor, and depth, Americans would have a much different opinion of radical Islam, and would understand it poses a far more serious threat than they have currently been led to believe.

According to The National Sentinel, it appears as though Muslims have become the American Left’s “new protected class.”

The site quoted CAIR research director Dr. Abbas Barzegar, who launched an attack against the First Amendment during a press conference after the New Zealand shootings, implying that there should be no criticism of Muslims allowed.

He said social and traditional media do “not allow these people to exploit freedom of speech.”

And no one from the media pushed back.

When our country was founded, patriots bequeathed us a free and independent press they believed was essential to protect our liberties, primarily by holding the powerful accountable. By allowing themselves to become agents of the powerful, today’s establishment media have violated the founders’ intent. (Click to Source)

All the religious massacres you didn’t hear about over the past year have one thing in common… Christians were killed instead of Muslims

Sunday, March 17, 2019 by: Ethan Huff

(Natural News) On January 27, Muslim extremists bombed a Roman Catholic cathedral on the Philippine island of Jolo, killing some 20 people and injuring dozens of others. But you probably didn’t hear about this horrific religious massacre because the perpetrators were violent Islamic terrorists that targeted Christians, which means the Leftist media pretty much completely ignored it.

Though they often go unreported, there have actually been hundreds of similar such attacks by Muslims against Christians just within the past year alone, and almost none of them were given national, let alone global, media attention. That’s because the only tragedies that ever get reported by the fake news media are those that propagate an anti-white, anti-gun, and anti-Christian narrative.

Take the most recent alleged gun massacre in New Zealand, for instance. The fake news media won’t shut up about it, for one, and many of these same propaganda outlets are actually making up false narratives about the alleged shooter simply because he’s a white male who supposedly went on a rampage against Muslims while they were worshiping in their mosques.

It’s the perfect scenario for the Leftist media to go nuts with all sorts of crazy narratives blaming white people, conservatives, and even President Trump and his “rhetoric” for this evil act of violence, while also throwing in anti-Second Amendment talking points while they’re at it. But these same disinformation mouthpieces were nowhere to be found when Filipino Christians were murdered in cold blood in the name of Allah – why is that?

After all, both incidents are similar in that a religious group was targeted by deranged terrorists who openly admitted that they were out for innocent blood. The difference, however, is that in the eyes of the Left, it’s perfectly alright for the lives of Christians to be terminated by extremists because that’s considered to be “tolerance.” But when Muslims are targeted, it’s automatically “Islamophobia” and “racism” by white people against brown people.

Muslims murder Christians and other innocents all the time, but the fake news media ignores it all

The aforementioned religious terror attack that took place in the Philippines was hardly an isolated incident, by the way. It happens all the time, all over the world – though the average person remains completely unaware of it, thanks to a perpetual mainstream media blackout designed to cover up the truth.

As of this writing, there have been 453 Islamic terror attacks in 31 different countries so far this year – and these are just the ones that have been reported. In total, just in 2019 so far, there have been a shocking 1,956 people murdered by Islamic terrorists, and another 2,019 injured, according to TheReligionOfPeace.com.

Had each of these incidents been reportedly as widely and aggressively as the most recent New Zealand attack, the general public would clearly see the threat of radical Islamic terrorism, and perhaps call for Muslims to be banned from the country much in the same way that they’re demanding guns be banned. But because such incidents are kept under wraps, there’s a widespread illusion among Leftists that everything is a-okay, and that Muslims are just perfect little darlings who assimilate peacefully into Western society.

Everyday Leftists are also guilty of willfully covering up this inconvenient truth, especially as they seek to legislatively stop “hate crimes” and “hate speech” against all people groups in this country except, you guessed it: white people and Christian people.

In other words, whites and Christians are now the only unprotected members of American society who are always guilty of everything that’s bad, according to Democrats, and who are never unfairly targeted or mistreated by anyone else due to their “privilege.” Meanwhile, Muslim terrorists are allowed to wreak havoc all across the globe in the name of “diversity.” (Click to Source)

Malaysian government sets up special unit to monitor online activity for any form of insult against Islam

  BY
A glimpse into the (near) future of Europe and North America. In the West now, those who are considered to have insulted Muhammad and Islam are merely vilified in the press, increasingly barred from social media, and shunned by all decent people. Arrests are coming.

“Jakim’s special unit to monitor online insults to Islam,” FMT News, March 7, 2019:

PETALING JAYA: Putrajaya has set up a special unit to monitor online activity for any form of insult against Islam, following several cases of people allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad on Facebook.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Mujahid Yusof Rawa said the unit, which will come under the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim), has been tasked with monitoring any form of writing or provocation against Islam or Prophet Muhammad on all media platforms including social media….

Police have so far detained three people accused of insulting Prophet Muhammad on Facebook.

Top cop Mohamad Fuzi Harun said that as of March 5, police had received 929 reports across the country and opened 16 investigation papers on cases connected to insulting Islam.

Police are also tracking down another man who allegedly insulted the prophet on Twitter. (Click to Source)

Muslim who sought to kill Christian cousin embraces faith after Jesus appears in dream

 CURRENT PAGE:WORLD | WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2019

By Leah MarieAnn Klett, Christian Post Reporter

An Egyptian Muslim who planned to kill his cousin for converting to Christianity has shared how he embraced the religion he once hated after Jesus delivered a powerful message to him in a dream.

Mostafa, a new convert in Egypt, recently shared with persecution watchdog Open Doors how he traveled to Cairo with the intention of killing his cousin, Mohammad, who had converted from Islam to Christianity.

In Egypt, converting from Islam to Christianity is seen as a betrayal of one’s family and heritage. Christian converts risk losing their family, friends, and even their lives.

After finding his cousin sitting in a Christian worship service, Mostafa slipped behind him and waited to make his move. But as he listened to the songs and prayers, he noticed that the words he was hearing appealed to him.

Following the service, Mostafa approached Mohammad with tears in his eyes: “I came all the way from our family’s village to spy on you and see if you had indeed become a Christian,” he said. “I should inform your family about what I saw, but I just can’t. I think the choice you made might have been the right one. Can you tell me more? Why did you leave Islam for Christianity?”

That evening, the cousins spent hours talking about the Gospel. That night, Mostafa had a dream. He saw Jesus on the cross, looking at him and saying: “I did all of this because I love you, and I want you to be free from your sins.”

The next morning, Mostafa told Mohammed what he saw in his dream and asked his cousin to pray together with him for his salvation.

Mostafa recalled telling God: “I planned to kill my cousin, Your follower. But now I am prepared to give my life for You myself.”

The following month, Mostafa was baptized with his cousin standing next to him. He hasn’t told his family that he and Mohammed are now followers of Jesus, and the two men are currently living as secret believers.

Egypt is No. 16 on Open Doors’ World Watch List and continues to be a country that poses extreme danger and violence for Christians, according to the persecution watchdog. Various Islamic extremist groups remain the largest persecutors of Christians in the country.

Despite continued persecution, a number of Christians across the Middle East have embraced Christianity. Officially, about 10% of the 95 million population are Christian, although many believe the figure is significantly higher.

Last year, a former Muslim-turned-pastor who started hundreds of churches in Pakistan told The Christian Post that many Muslims are making decisions to convert after Jesus Himself has visited them in dreams and visions.

“It’s very dangerous for anyone to preach the Word of God face-to-face in non-Western countries,” the pastor told CP. “God reveals things through dreams to evangelists/pastors. People in the East are more uneducated and unable to read the Bible so God uses this method to reach them.”

“[People] are very faithful in the East, placing themselves in positions to see the signs of God by studying the Word of God,” he added. “Eastern people watch for the signs and miracles to show that the Word of God is alive. It is a privilege, one not everyone can share in — to own a Bible in the East. In the West, people look more for wisdom, like the Greeks of old. They do not always rely on faith, which can’t be seen.”

Mission Frontiers magazine also reported that out of 600 Muslim converts, 25 percent experienced a dream that led to their conversion.

A now-former shaman in a village in northwest China shared in another article for Open Doors in July that she saw Christ while on her deathbed.

“I was in the back seat of a taxi as my brother drove me toward endless darkness. But then three men, who were wearing brilliant white robes, approached. But their light was so bright, I couldn’t see their faces,” Ting, the former shaman, said of her experience.

“They told me I must make a choice. And as they spoke, two other men wearing black robes invited me to follow them. I knew in my heart one of the men wearing a white robe was Jesus. So I followed Him.”

In 2015, an Islamic State terror group fighter who had killed Christians also turned to Christ after reportedly dreaming of “a man in white.” (Click to Source)

Texas Bills Threaten to Strip ‘Texans’ Right to Practice Biblical Teachings’

Amanda Casanova | Religion Today Contributing Writer | Friday, January 25, 2019

Some conservatives are worried that the liberal Left and some upcoming Texas state bills may try “to ban Christianity in Texas.”

Erick Erickson, a conservative blogger and radio host, writes in The Resurgentthat some half a dozen bills will ban Christianity “in all but name.”

This continues a long line of thought first advocated by the Obama Administration, which sought to restrict the ‘free exercise’ clause of the First Amendment to a ‘freedom of worship’ standard. In other words, be a Christian in church on Sunday, but nowhere else,” he says.

“Christianity is not a religion of the church pew, but of the town square. Texas progressives are trying to ban it from anywhere outside the church,” he added in his column.

Erickson was referring to Texas bills, including HB 224, HB 254, HB 850 and SB 151, all which would prohibit the discrimination of sexual orientation or gender identity by businesses, including Christian-owned ones. Previously, Christian businesses have claimed they have the right to refuse service based on their religious beliefs.

Two other bills are also being considered. HB 517 would require Christian counselors to affirm transgenderism and SB 154 would force doctors to create birth certificates retroactively for patients who gender transition.

Dave Welch, president of the Texas Pastors Council, also said the bills could mean less rights for Christians.

“The mad dash by some Democrat House and Senate members to push false narratives that sexual behavior is the same as skin color and that mental illness deserves the same honored status as religious belief is ominous evidence that the criminalization of religious faith and common sense are on the horizon,” he said.

Texas Values, a state conservative advocacy group, has also mounted a campaign to show that the house bill #BanTheBible.

“#BanTheBible doesn’t have to mean confiscating physical Bibles yet,” the group said in a statement, “but it does mean something even worse — stripping Texans’ right to practice biblical teachings out of their lives.” (Click to Source)

245 Million Christians Facing ‘Extreme’ Persecution Worldwide (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON, DC — North Korea remains at the top of a list of 50 countries where at least 245 million Christians are facing “extreme persecution” this year, up 14 percent from 215 million at the beginning of 2018, the World Wide Watch List (WWL) released on Wednesday by Open Doors, a group that monitors the mistreatment of Christ followers, revealed.

At the Heritage Foundation, David Curry, the president and CEO of Open Doors, unveiled the 2019 WWL that ranks the top 50 “most dangerous” countries to follow Jesus, noting that women are especially targeted.

“The Open Doors World Watch List which you will see today is the most comprehensive grassroots study of what is happening around the world to restrict religious freedom, particularly for Christians,” he explained, adding “The data proves conclusively that Christian women are the most exploited group on the face of the earth.”

Curry highlighted several trends that are currently fueling the mistreatment of Christians, including the rise of authoritarianism and spread of radical Islam, particularly into sub-Saharan Africa.

“Radical Islam is the driver behind eight of the top 10 on the World Watch List this year, four of which are from Africa,” the Open Doors chief proclaimed.

“Africa is now a major epicenter of violence against Christians,” he observed.

Last year, worldwide persecution resulted in 4,136 deaths, 1,266 attacks on worshipping centers, and the detention 2,625 individuals, the report revealed. The number of deaths increased by about 35 percent from 3,066 at the beginning of 2018.

“Christians were killed for faith-related reasons. On average, that’s 11 Christians killed every day for their faith,” Open Doors noted.

Overall, one in 9 Christians across the world suffered from “high levels of persecution,” the organization added.

North Korea remained at the top of the list for the 18th year in a row.

Curry noted:

North Korea is number one on the World Watch List again and number one in the use of authoritarian tactics. It’s illegal to own a bible. The very suggestion that you’re a Christian can get you arrested with neighborhood watches again using old school communist tactics to control people. The use of authoritarian methods is a major trend on this year’s World Watch List and it’s a worrisome trend. We believe that churches must be sacred from authoritarian tactics.

This year, Open Doors listed 11 countries where Christians are experiencing “extreme persecution”: North Korea, Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, Pakistan, Sudan, Eritrea, Yemen, Iran, India, and Syria.

“For the first time since the start of the World Watch List, India has entered the top 10,” Open Doors pointed out.

Open Doors’ report thus argues that India is a worse place to practice Christianity than China, where persecution against followers of Jesus has intensified under Communist Party leader Xi Jinping, who has vowed to “Sinicize” the country’s religions or make them more Chinese by instilling core communist values.

“China jumped 16 spots, from 43 to 27,” the monitor group reported.

Referring to both India and China, the Open Doors report said:

Each of these countries is home to more than a billion people, so these trends are distressing. Hindu nationalists in India continue to attack Christians with what seems like no consequences, and in China, the increased power of the government and the rule of Xi Jinping continue to make open worship difficult in some parts of the country.

Open Doors described the persecution of Christians in China as the worst it has been for more than a decade, with at least 50 million people facing some form of repression this year as the Xi administration tightens its grip over religious worship, the Guardian found.

The watchdog group, alluding to the estimated 65 million Christians in India, reported:

Christians have been targeted by Hindu nationalist extremists more each year. Since the current ruling party took power in 2014, attacks have increased, and Hindu radicals believe they can attack Christians with no consequences. The view of the nationalists is that to be Indian is to be Hindu, so any other faith— including Christianity—is viewed as non-Indian. Additionally, in some regions of the country, converts to Christianity from Hinduism experience extreme persecution, discrimination and violence.

Hindu nationalist groups in India are reportedly affiliated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Curry pointed out:

The BJP party, which is the ruling party, Prime Minister Modi’s party has created a radical Hindu agenda within India that seeks to push out the Christian faith and anything other than the Hindu faith. They’re not hiding it. It’s not a secret. It’s their agenda and they have created an environment where people have impunity to attack churches — hundreds of churches have been attacked.

He went on to urge “influential business people in America of Indian descent…to speak out about the discrimination against Christians in India.”

“We believe the international community is beginning to wake up to this discrimination within India … because this is a massive human rights violation and Indian needs to be held to account if they want to be part of the international business community,” Curry added.

The Open Doors chief also urged the United States and other Western nations to defend and promote religious freedom.

Curry told reporters:

People around the world are losing their freedom to choose their faith and we have to pay attention. Religious freedom is the key to what it means to be free. It is the key to what it means to be human and we believe at Open Doors that everyone should have the right to choose their own faith or if they want to have no faith at all. The United States and the Western world can lead in defending and promoting religious freedom.

Open Doors released its WWL assessment one day after the United States government marked 2019’s Religious Freedom Day on Tuesday. (Click to Source)

Christians at risk of extinction in land where Christmas began

BY TOUFIC BAAKLINI, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR —

intro17d-300x241

As Christians around the world celebrate the nativity of our savior, we gather in churches and hear the story of a Middle East where the holy family, as religious minorities in the Roman Empire, witnessed the birth of Christ, far from their hometown. We will recall that they then fled to Egypt as political refugees.

Two thousand years later, the Christian communities of the Middle East — descendants of the first Christians — persevere in their faith in Christ. They live in an era of violence, unrest and persecution. Many have been forced to flee their homes and many more their countries.

The archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, recently wrote of the plight of Christians in the Middle East, stating: “Many have left. Hundreds of thousands have been forced from their homes.” He warned that “across the region Christian communities that were the foundation of the universal Church now face the threat of imminent extinction.” I am sorry to say the archbishop is not overstating the dire nature of the plight faced by Christian communities throughout the region.

Lebanon, the last safe home to Christians in the Middle East, has generously welcomed a great number of Syrians fleeing their country’s civil war. A nation of 4 million people is hosting an estimated 2 million refugees and displaced people, the highest per-capita home to refugees in the world. This population increase has presented legitimate challenges to Lebanon’s infrastructure, economy and education system. After seven years of conflict in Syria, with no end in sight, more children are born in Lebanon to displaced people and refugees than to Lebanese citizens.

Lebanon’s delicate, pluralistic balance of power between faith groups could be toppled in a complete redrawing of the demographic map. The lack of a roadmap for charting the safe return of refugees and displaced people to Syria is not providing a viable future for these victims.

In northern Iraq’s former breadbasket, the Nineveh Plains, the ancient Christian and Yazidi communities are slowly returning and rebuilding their homes, but they are a skeleton of what they once were. The Christian population of Iraq has dropped from 1.5 million before 2003 to less than 250,000 today. Those who remain are in a struggle to keep their culture and heritage alive in a place where their families have celebrated Christmas since the time of Christ.

In Egypt, the Coptic Church was again the target of terrorist violence in recent months. In 2017 alone, 128 Coptic Christians were killed because of their faith. Churches have been bombed, pilgrims have been targeted and Christian homes have been vandalized. Attacks on the Coptic community have been horrific and they are tragically leaving Egypt in record numbers.

Another year is passing in which the United States has not recognized the Armenian genocide, and Turkey continues to harass churches and unjustly imprison innocent people.

Yet, Christmas is a time of anticipation, new birth and hope, so while we hold the suffering of religious minorities in the Middle East in our hearts, let us reflect on the good that has been done in 2018 to bring a much needed ray of hope and expectation for the coming year.

In Iraq, the promise of Vice President Pence that “help is on the way” resulted in U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) committing more than $300 million in aid for religious minorities. USAID Administrator Mark Green went personally to the region to conduct a needs assessment and appointed special representative Max Primorac to directly oversee the implementation of U.S.-funded programs. Green deserves credit for managing the difficult deliverance of aid in a complex sectarian environment.

Just two weeks ago, President Trump made history by signing the Iraq and Syria Genocide Relief and Accountability Act, a bipartisan and precedent-setting law sponsored by Reps. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) and Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) that will for the first time allow religious minorities, who are the most vulnerable victims of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), to be given direct aid by the U.S. government.

Another precedent was set when the Trump administration sanctioned Turkey, a NATO ally, until it released American pastor Andrew Brunson. This direct use of American influence to free an innocent man should be a model for future foreign policy.

In Egypt, continuous congressional pressure has led President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to take some important steps toward justice and security for Copts, which include prosecuting terrorists who have targeted them, rebuilding destroyed churches and appointing the first Coptic female governor of an Egyptian province. Egypt also recently launched a program to restore its Jewish religious sites. Given that Egypt is the recipient of $1.6 billion in U.S. aid, we should make clear that future support is dependent upon its improvement of human rights.

In Lebanon, America continues to support the Lebanese Armed Forces, the nation’s legitimate security force, and constantly denounces Iranian and other outside interference that threatens Lebanon with instability and conflict.

While much has been accomplished, much work remains to be done before Christians can celebrate Christmas without fear in the place where it all began two millennia ago.

Former Muslim: Dreams of Jesus, Miracle Healings Leading Millions to Christ Despite Persecution

By Stoyan Zaimov , Christian Post Reporter |

(PHOTO: REUTERS/MOHSIN RAZA)
Men say their prayers during Eid al-Fitr at the Badshahi mosque in Lahore, Pakistan.

A pastor who has started hundreds of churches in Pakistan, where he suffered persecution for his faith, has chronicled his extraordinary journey in a new book where he says that divine healings and prophetic dreams are leading many Muslims to Jesus Christ.

Pastor M El Masih, who started Cry of the Persecuted Church and now lives with his family in the United States, shared in an interview with The Christian Post some of his most difficult challenges growing up in Pakistan, where he studied and followed Islam and the Quran for years.

In his book, From Persecution to the Promised Land, Masih, who has spoken in thousands of churches and universities, explains that he grew up in a nominally Christian family but embraced Islam at one point in his pursuit of truth, even becoming a teacher at an Islamic high school.

Desperation and a lack of peace haunted him, however, and it was through the help of other believers and a pastor sharing the Gospel of Jesus with him that he decided to become a Christian in 1993.

He faced heavy persecution for his newfound faith, however, and was treated as a second-class citizen by the Muslim majority, a situation that continues to this day for Christians and religious minorities in Pakistan.

Masih said that the Gospel is reaching many in the Muslim world. He added that even if Islam is growing worldwide due to high birthrates, over 6 million Muslims each year become Christians in Islamic countries.

Many Muslims are making decisions to convert, and not necessarily because of the Bible or a preacher who has reached them, but because Jesus Himself has visited them in dreams and visions, he noted. This is a testimony which has been echoed by other Christians in persecuted regions worldwide.

In the book, Masih talks about the rise of his ministry and his efforts in establishing churches. He also says that through the power of God, he has witnessed and taken part in several healing miracles.

He shares of instances where through prayer in the name of Jesus, he has seen paralyzed women stand up and start walking; and in another case for a nearly blind man, Jesus “restored his sight immediately.”

The pastor also warns of various dangers facing Christians around the world, including persecution at the hands of Islamists, whom he says have falsely convinced many in the West that Islam is not a threat.

Additionally, he points to spiritual threats that come from demons, witchcraft, and satanic forces, which he said are not fantasy, but real.

Below is an edited transcript of Masih’s interview with The Christian Post about his book, From Persecution to the Promised Land.

CP: In the book, you point out that a lot of media in the U.S. don’t want to say that Islam is violent. Where do you think this reluctance comes from? Is it an ignorance of the Quran or is there a more political reason?

Masih: I believe it’s actually both. There are really three reasons why the media does not want to say that Islam is violent.

First, people do not know much about the Islamic religion, what it stands for, what the beliefs are, because they rely on the liberals to give them correct information. They see those practicing Islam in the West show a face of calm and peace. When in the minority, as Muhammad was at first, they work well with others, showing a peaceful side. But when the numbers get stronger there becomes no freedom of speech for those who are of other religions.

If Islam was truly a religion of peace it should be shown and practiced this way in both the East and the West. If you really read the Quran you will see the black and white teaching in the Quran which is anti-all religion, especially Jews, Christians and idol worshipers. The Quran is where the religion of the Muslims comes from.

Second, people in the West, for political reasons, are always trying to be politically correct in order to receive those much needed votes. This causes them to stay away from topics such as religion. Even those who voice their concerns through the media, especially those [media outlets] whose majority shares of their companies are owned by Eastern countries, will not print many stories on this controversial subject.

Third, there is much fear involved, which promoted by the Muslim cleric decrees, against those in opposition to their religion. This will cause people to think long and hard before they speak against Muslims.

CP: Of all of the persecution and different challenges you faced while growing up in Pakistan, what would you say was the most difficult for you to deal with?

Masih: The most difficult, I believe, was the daily discrimination that I suffered once I stepped out of my home. Facing non-Christians as we went shopping or anywhere in public, for that matter, we were treated like second-class citizens. It was very painful emotionally and difficult to live through the persecution.

You would start questioning who you really were because it was easy to lose our true identity. There was also always fear of being discovered as a Christian. We tried to hide that fact as best that we could.

CP: You mention that Jesus has appeared in dreams and visions to many Muslims who later became Christians. How does one tell the difference between a dream that is actually from Jesus and dreams that are not?

Masih: Any dreams which align with the Word of God are from Jesus. If you have a dream and claim to meet Jesus, your life will be dramatically changed. The truth of God’s Word will give that person strength to lay their lives down for Jesus, if called to do so. The apostles and many others, even today, were willing to die for the truth of Jesus Christ.

CP: There have been many stories of people receiving dreams of Jesus and deciding to follow Him, especially in non-Western countries. Why do you think such dreams are much more common for people outside of America and the West?

Masih: The No. 1 reason is it’s very dangerous for anyone to preach the Word of God face-to-face in non-Western countries. God reveals things through dreams to evangelists/pastors. People in the East are more uneducated and unable to read the Bible so God uses this method to reach them.

The second reason is that people are very faithful in the East, placing themselves in positions to see the signs of God by studying the Word of God. Eastern people watch for the signs and miracles to show that the Word of God is alive.  It is a privilege, one not everyone can share in — to own a Bible in the East.

In the West, people look more for wisdom, like the Greeks of old. They do not always rely on faith, which can’t be seen.

CP: As you mention, miracle healings are sometimes a controversial subject. What would you say to people who are discouraged from believing that such healings are possible, due to their distrust of prosperity gospel preachers?

Masih: As Psalm 127:1 states, “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” The Lord our God is mighty. We have heard that money is the root of all evil. Jesus talks about always giving freely the prayers and healings, no fees are to be charged for attending the services.

When healing and deliverance becomes too much of a business we don’t always see the healing and the true miracles occur. To know that the healing and miracles have truly occurred is to watch the persons walk. Have they truly changed?

Unfortunately, some use the Gospel to make money, not to put back into the ministry to save more souls, but for greedy intent. In the East, the people are poor. They can’t afford to go to the doctor so they call upon God and He brings healing when they call upon Him.

In the East, doctors and hospitals are not widely available so it is more common for God to heal the people. In the West to have doctors and hospitals available it is a miracle. So spiritually, it is a blessing from God to have so many hospitals and doctors. God is still bringing the best healing in the West with the doctors, using them for His healing. Glory to God.

CP: What would you say are the biggest things that American Christians don’t know or don’t understand about the persecution people suffer in Pakistan?

Masih: Not all people in the West understand what it feels like to live in a cage 24/7. Suffering comes in the form of mental, social and physical persecution. Because of our beliefs we are treated like a second-class citizen. There is no freedom of speech or religion. It is not easy to comprehend the pain Christian believers go through anywhere they live, as a minority in their nation.

For example, if you go to a restaurant and the owners who are not of Christian faith find out you are Christians, they either refuse to serve you, or give you separate cups just for your kind. Even in the 21st century those that do not follow Jesus and His walk in love also do not understand. God sees His children as all the same. He judges us through the work of Jesus.

CP: What is the one message you would most like people to take away from your book?

Masih: Don’t take freedom for granted. Appreciate it and use it wisely. Don’t use it to sin but use it to win the lost people for Jesus.

Don’t wound yourself when people say bad things against you. Have the attitude of Jesus, asking God to forgive others. Learn to love your enemies and those who hate you. The main message is to love all people regardless of race or religion. (Click to Source)

Over 6,000 Nigerian Christians Slaughtered, Media Silent

‘Pure Genocide’: Over 6,000 Nigerian Christians Slaughtered, Mostly Women and Children

Church leaders in Nigeria have said that Christians are experiencing “pure genocide” as 6,000 people, mostly women and children, have been murdered by Fulani radicals since January.

“What is happening in Plateau state and other select states in Nigeria is pure genocide and must be stopped immediately,” said the Christian Association of Nigeria and church denominational heads in Plateau State in a press release last week.

The church leaders said that “over 6,000 persons, mostly children, women and the aged have been maimed and killed in night raids by armed Fulani herdsmen,” which is prompting their cry to the government of Nigeria “to stop this senseless and blood shedding in the land and avoid a state of complete anarchy where the people are forced to defend themselves.”

The press release also pleaded with the international community, as well as the United Nations, to intervene in the Fulani attacks, fearing they might spread to other countries as well.

“We are particularly worried at the widespread insecurity in the country where wanton attacks and killings by armed Fulani herdsmen, bandits and terrorists have been taking place on a daily basis in our communities unchallenged despite huge investments in the security agencies,” they added, saying President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to bring attackers to justice.

They referenced several mass-scale attacks this year, including the slaughter of over 200 people, mostly Christians, at the end of June in raids carried out by the herdsmen on local area farmers near the city of Jos.

Although some international news media has sought to characterize the killings as a land conflict between community groups, the church leaders, along with major persecution watchdog groups such as Open Doors USA and International Christian Concern, have all said that Christians are being deliberately targeted.

“We reject the narrative that the attacks on Christian communities across the country as ‘farmers/herdsmen clash.’ The federal government has been so immersed in this false propaganda and deceit while forcefully pushing the policy idea of establishing cattle ranches/colonies on the ancestral farming lands of the attacked communities for the Fulani herdsmen as the only solution to the problem,” the press release declared, accusing the government of also pushing such a narrative.

“How can it be a clash when one group is persistently attacking, killing, maiming, destroying; and the other group is persistently being killed, maimed and their places of worship destroyed? How can it be a clash when the herdsmen are hunting farmers in their own villages/communities and farmers are running for their lives?” the church leaders asked.

“How can it be a clash when the herdsmen are the predators and the inhabitant/indigenous farmers are the prey? Until we call a disease by its real name and causatives, it would be difficult to properly diagnose the disease for the right curative medications.”

There have been different reports on the number of Christians killed in Nigeria since the start of the year.

The International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, Intersociety, stated on Tuesday that a combined total of 1,750 Christians, along with non-Muslims, have been killed both by the Fulani herdsmen, and by Boko Haram radicals, who are a separate terror group.

Intersociety also warned of a genocide in its statement.

“Nigeria is drifting to [a path of] genocide through killing, maiming, burning and destruction of churches and other sacred places of worship, and forceful seizure and occupation of ancestral, worship, farming and dwelling lands of the indigenous Christians and other indigenous religionists in Northern Nigeria,” it said.

Roman Catholic Bishop William Avenya of Gboko separately told charity Aid to the Church in Need that the world cannot wait for a full-on genocide before deciding to intervene.

“Please don’t make the same mistake as was made with the genocide in Rwanda,” he pleaded, referring to the massacre of Tutsi people in Rwanda, where close to 1 million were killed in 1994.

“It happened beneath our noses, but no one stopped it. And we know well how that ended,” Avenya said. (Click to Source)

Canadian Man Faces 2 Years in Prison for Passing Out Jesus Saves Pamphlets at Gay Pride Parade

A Christian bus driver in Toronto has been charged with a “hate crime” for distributing pamphlets saying homosexuality can lead to diseases and that Jesus can save gay people if they repent.

Bill Whatcott “distributed anti-gay material which promoted hatred toward the gay community,” Toronto Police Service said in a statement, adding that he was arrested in Calgary and later returned to Toronto.

The 51-year-old Christian man was charged with “willful promotion of hatred against an identifiable group, namely the gay community.”

The pamphlets he allegedly distributed said homosexuality is associated with sexually transmitted diseases, including HPV of the rectum, which the U.S. Centers for Disease Control says is true, according to The Federalist.

The pamphlets, which reportedly included negative remarks against the Liberal Party and left-wing politicians, also said that supporting homosexual acts without repentance could lead to “eternal peril,” and repentance to “the free gift of eternal life.”

However, reports say that the pamphlets neither encouraged hate against homosexuals, nor advocated violence.

Whatcott, who has been fired from his job, said he wasn’t given food for 24 hours while in jail, according to The Daily Wire.

“It might have been on purpose, because it didn’t happen, like — some inmates did go half a day without food — but they actually made me go a full 24 hours,” he was quoted as saying.

He said he was also denied medical attention for a leg injury. “I had a leg infection, and it was bad enough that I was brought to the hospital, but they simply refused to fill the prescriptions. So for four days I had no medications. The infection was actually going up my leg. I was a little concerned it was gonna go systemic.”

In July 2016, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a Roman Catholic, became the world’s first national leader to march in a gay pride parade when he took part in Toronto’s event.

Trudeau has also supported Canada’s embrace of same-sex marriage, which stands against the Catholic Church’s definition of marriage between one man and one woman.

Months later that year, a poll showed that the majority of Canadians supported the expansion of the country’s non-discrimination laws to include gender identity. The Angus Reid Institute survey was conducted four months after Trudeau’s Liberal Party introduced a bill that would punish transgender discrimination with up to two years in prison for violators.

Earlier this year, Ontario Province started allowing individuals born there to remove “male” or “female” on their birth certificates or opt for a “nonbinary” designation.

Evangelical leaders, such as the Rev. Franklin Graham, have strongly condemned such actions, saying that God created people as men and women. (Click to Source)
