The full moon will turn blood red on July 27 as the longest total lunar eclipse of the century takes place in the skies from Australia through Africa.

A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes through the Earth’s innermost shadow. When this happens, the moon turns rusty orange or deep red in color and is how it earned the nickname of a blood moon eclipse.

The red moon will pair well with Mars, which reaches opposition just before the eclipse and will also appear orange or red in color.

evergreen eclipse

Unlike a solar eclipse, no special equipment or glasses are needed to view a total lunar eclipse, although onlookers will require cloud-free weather.

Friday’s lunar eclipse will be particularly special as it is the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century.

The total phase of the eclipse will last for an impressive 1 hour and 43 minutes, while the entire eclipse, including the partial phases, will last for over 6 hours.

One reason why this eclipse is lasting so long is because it is occurring when the moon is near apogee, or the point in its orbit when it is farthest away from the Earth, making it appear smaller than normal.

This is sometimes referred to as a ‘micromoon,’ and is the opposite of the well-known supermoon, or perigee (when the moon is at its closest to Earth).

Another factor that is playing a role in the eclipse’s duration is the path that the moon is taking through the Earth’s shadow. During Friday’s eclipse, the moon will be passing almost directly through the middle of the shadow, maximizing the time that moon spends in darkness.

The next time there is a total lunar eclipse this long will not be until June 9, 2123.

For those in North America, the century’s longer lunar eclipse will not be visible as it will take place during the day on Friday.

However, those living in many other areas of the world will be able to witness the celestial spectacle.

“On July 27th, a total lunar eclipse will be visible in Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe and South America,” NASA said.

The time that the blood moon is visible depends on what area of the world onlookers are viewing the event from.

For those in Australia, New Zealand and eastern Asia, the height of the eclipse will be visible before the moon sets early in the morning on July 28.

Meanwhile, those in far eastern South America and far western Europe, the total eclipse will be visible as the moon rises on Friday night.

The balance of Asia and Europe, as well as Africa and Antarctica, will be able to see the entirety of the eclipse.

A rare celestial occurrence as a ‘super blue blood moon’ is seen at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, Calf., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018. The moon is putting on a rare cosmic show. It’s the first time in 35 years a blue moon has synced up with a supermoon and a total lunar eclipse. NASA is calling it a lunar trifecta: the first super blue blood moon since 1982. That combination won’t happen again until 2037. (AP Photo/Ringo H.W. Chiu)
People in areas experiencing the total eclipse may also want to spend a few moments looking at other parts of the sky for some shooting stars.

The Delta Aquariids meteor shower peaks on July 30, but the light pollution from the moon will make it difficult to see many of the dimmer meteors on the night that the shower reaches its peak.

However, the drop in natural light pollution during the total lunar eclipse will allow people to see more of the dimmer meteors.

This meteor shower favors the Southern Hemisphere with up to 15-20 meteors an hour, but people in the Northern Hemisphere may still be able to spot a few shooting stars around the shower’s peak.

People in North America and South America will want to mark their calendars for the next total lunar eclipse, which falls on Jan. 21, 2019.

Unlike this week’s eclipse, the entirety of January’s blood moon eclipse will be visible across both continents. Some areas in Europe and Africa will also be able to view this eclipse, weather permitting.

There will also be a partial lunar eclipse on July 16, 2019, the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, the mission that sent the first humans to the moon. (Click to Source)

Blood Moon and Mars Approach Set To Trigger ‘Biblical Event’ Experts Say

On July 27, the blood moon will appear at the same time Mars

By: Riva Mendoza  |@NeonNettle on 19th July 2018 @ 9.00pm

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the Lord your God?

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

17 Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

18 Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.

22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call. (Joel 2:1-32King James Version (KJV) Public Domain

On July 27, the blood moon will appear at the same time Mars

The upcoming blood moon which is due to appear in close conjunction with the close passing of Mars could trigger several ‘biblical events,’ including the rapture, according to Christian astrology experts.  On July 27, the blood moon will appear at the same time Mars is visible in the night sky. The two events have attracted lots of interest from Christian astrologists who claim it could be a sign of very big changes on planet earth.

Blue moons and lunar eclipses come and go, but the arrival of the “Super Blue Blood Moon” heralds chilling biblical signs for many.

According to the express: Christians often point to the Bible passage, The Book of Acts Chapter 2, which reads:“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come.”However, one blogger believes it does not necessarily mean the apocalypse, but it could be a plethora of things. The blogger, who gives his name as just Gary, was asked the question: “Do you think it is of note that Mars (Red Dragon, War Planet) aligns with this blood moon on July 27 as well?”.

Gary responded: “It could represent the coming war on Israel, the antichrist briefly outshining Christ in the world after the rapture, or perhaps Michael the archangel ‘standing up’ in preparation to battle the devil.”However, scientists have given a more simple explanation for the blood moon.

The blood moon is technically an eclipse, and the moon takes on a red tinge when it passes through the shadow cast by Earth. Stunning moment Super Blue Blood moon rises over Greece Play Video. This bizarre effect is known as ‘Rayleigh scattering’, which filters out bands of green and violet light in the atmosphere during an eclipse leaving just a red glow.

As for Mars – it is merely a coincidence that it is close at the same time because it is in “opposition”.In astronomy, planetary opposition occurs when two heavenly bodies align on opposite sides of the celestial sphere, typically as seen from Earth.Opposition is usually also marked by a planet being at its closest orbital point to Earth. Pictures From The Historic Blood Moon “Trifecta”

It was a once in 150-year event: a total lunar eclipse (“Blood Moon”) during the second full moon of the same month (a “Blue Moon”) coinciding with near-perigee (a “Super Moon”).  This lunar “trifecta” was most certainly a sign in the heavens and evidence that God is in control.  The story of prophecy is playing out before our very eyes just as He intends it to.  This eclipse was visible to nearly two-thirds of the world’s population.

For those who may have missed seeing the Blood Moon this morning, Twitter is lighting up with pictures and video.  Apparently this moon was a pretty spectacular sight across a large swath of the planet.

It’s amazing to me that “Blood Moon” is now in the common vernacular after the 2014–2015 Tetrad.  The term is now so popular that you can find headlines referencing Blood Moons in as far flung places as India or the U.A.E.  It’s almost as if God used the previous tetrad of total lunar eclipses as a way to “correct” our language, so that the world would be using the terms used in Joel 2:31Acts 2:20, and Revelation 6:12 at the time of the rapture of the Church and Christ’s subsequent return.

Also, just a big heads up that there is going to be an even more spectacular Blood Moon on July 27th.  It will be the longest total lunar eclipse in the 21st century and all of totality will be visible in the Israeli sky:

Totality during the July 2018 eclipse will astonishingly last for nearly two hours.  Because the eclipse will occur in the earth’s central shadow, it should look very, very “bloody” in a number of locations without alteration or special lenses, like the last eclipse that occurred in the earth’s central shadow (June 2011):

Here is a timeline and visual estimate of the upcoming eclipse in July:

From the Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 to the Blood Moon is 340 days.

Strong’s 340 is “I make fresh again, renew, restore.”  Resurrection?

From the Revelation 12 Sign on September 23, 2017 to the historic Blood Moon on July 27, 2018 is 307 days.

Strong’s 307 is “I draw up.”  Thayer’s Greek Lexicon adds “to cause to go up or ascend.”  Rapture?

Interpretation of numbers can be very subjective and doesn’t necessarily add much, but I think all of these things combined paint a picture that the world is reaching the precipice, possibly this year.  I would venture to say this entire year is now a high watch time. (Click to Source)

Super-Blue-Blood Moon & Impending 70th Biblical Year

sbb2bmoon

We are less than 24 hours out from President Trump’s much anticipated first State of the Union address and less than 48 hours out from one of the rarest eclipses in years.  The moon, which will be near perigee (thus a super moon), will also be undergoing a total eclipse (a blood moon lasting for more than an hour), and it will be the second full moon in the same month (commonly called a “blue moon”).

Joel 2:31 and Acts 2:20 tell us that the order of celestial events preceding the Day of the LORD will be a darkened sun, followed by a blood moon.  If the Great American Eclipse was the darkened sun piece of the puzzle, perhaps this blood moon is the missing piece, which could mean the Day of the LORD begins soon, perhaps even this year.  What makes this Super-Blue-Blood Moon even more amazing is that approximately two-thirds of the world’s population will be able to see some or all of the total phase of the eclipse.

This rare trifecta event is happening just six to seven weeks before the 70th biblical year since Israel’s rebirth begins (March 17th, 18th, or 20th, depending on different interpretations of the biblical calendar).  March 1948 witnessed the beginning of the year in which the Jewish people declared their independence and the State of Israel was born.  We are just weeks away from the 70th year since that pivotal time.  While 2017 was an amazing year and had numerous important anniversaries in the realm of Bible prophecy, 2018 arguably contains the biggest anniversary of all: Israel’s 70th birthday on May 14th.  70 years is the biblically-defined length of a generation (Psalm 90:10).

It should also be noted it was just reported that researchers have finally deciphered a piece of a Dead Sea Scroll that argued for a 364-day calendar, which is the calendar described in the Book of Enoch, a book directly referenced in the Bible (Jd. 1:14–15).  The apocryphal Book of Jubilees also uses the 364 day calendar.  364 x 70 years after Israel’s rebirth is Friday, February 16th, so the following calendars will all have the 70th anniversary of Israel’s rebirth happening in 2018, over the span of the next few months:

  • Enoch Calendar
  • Jubilees Calendar
  • Karaite Calendar
  • Jewish civil calendar
  • Julian Calendar
  • Gregorian Calendar
  • Standard biblical calendar (Aviv to Aviv)
Only the prophetic calendar referenced in Daniel 9, which appears to use 360-day years, has the anniversary fall in a different year (2017).  Was 2017, with an unprecedented myriad of patterns and signs—including of course the ultimate sign—a prelude to 2018?

In an only-God-could-orchestrate-that kind of incredible peculiarity, Donald Trump will be delivering his first State of the Union address on the eve of this Super-Blue-Blood Moon.  Trump was actually born on the same day as a total lunar eclipse (Blood Moon): June 14, 1946, exactly 700 days before Israel’s rebirth (and was 777days old, 77 days after Israel’s rebirth).  He will be delivering this address as Israel is about to reach its 70thyear.  Trump was 70 years, 7 months, and 7 days old on his first day in office (link) and will be 71 years, 7months, and 17 days old during Wednesday’s Blood Moon (link).

Patterns imply design, a fact that the secular and deistic Christian world blindly (and foolishly) disregards.  If you’re walking through the desert and stumble across a Boeing 747, you don’t assume that millions of years of wind, erosion, and sand turned into an airplane.  Common sense tells you that would be impossible.  One million, one billion, or even one trillion years of natural processes could never form an airplane, yet so many today believe the natural world could coincidentally produce things one million times more intricate than an airplane, such as life or even the number patterns I mentioned in the previous paragraph.  Wake up world. ‘MEGA’ AGENDA 21 RESURRECTED WITH POPE’S HELP U.S. visit converges with end of Shemitah, Jade Helm, blood moon

As the choppy waters of September 2015 move ashore, all eyes will be on Pope Francis’ visit to the United States, jittery stock markets and signs in the heavens.

Francis is expected to enthusiastically endorse a new U.N. document that promises to wipe out poverty by 2030 by reordering the world economy along the lines of socialist principles. The document, titled “Transforming Our World: 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” also seeks to “strengthen universal peace” and usher in a new era of shared prosperity.

The pope’s visit marks just one in a series of historic and potentially prophetic events during the month of September.

  • The climax of the biblical Sabbath year known as the Shemitah occurs on Sept. 13, along with a partial solar eclipse.
  • The largest-ever military exercise, Jade Helm, concludes Sept. 15, while the world’s most ambitious scientific experiment is taking place all month at the CERN Large Hadron Collider near Geneva, Switzerland.
  • Congress is supposed to vote on Obama’s Iran nuclear deal by by Sept. 17.
  • The 266th pope arrives on Sept. 23, the 266th day of the year, which also happens to be Yom Kippur or the Jewish Day of Atonement, and the beginning of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, also known as “the Feast of the Sacrifice.”
  • Francis will be the first pope to address a joint session of Congress Sept. 24.
  • Francis delivers the keynote speech Sept. 25 to the U.N. sustainability summit in New York.
  • On Sept. 28, the fourth and last of the “blood moons” takes place on the biblical Feast of Tabernacles. (Click to Article)
