Plague Epidemic In Madagascar

secretsinthebones_plague

The same plague known as the Black Death centuries ago has hit the capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo, and other populated cities, setting off a panic.

As of last Monday, 387 cases were reported.

It took two weeks after the initial onset of the disease to detect it, which hinders treatment and control.

The plague currently spreading in Madagascar is pneumonic, which spreads rapidly through coughing and it can kill within 24 hours.

Some people die of the plague every year, although this deadly form of plague in Madagascar has spread rapidly without detection.

The World Health Organization (WHO) delivered 1.2 million doses of antibiotics to fight the disease, even so, WHO reports the risk of spread throughout Madagascar is high because the country is impoverished and they lack critical medical supplies, such as protective garments to prevent infection.

The Word of God tells us concerning the time of the Lord’s return,

“Nation shall rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places” Matthew 24:7.

This news, together with the recent news that antibiotics are becoming less effective against disease, is very troubling, if one doesn’t know the Prince of Peace.

God always gives His people peace in the midst of the storm, which is one of the benefits of knowing God and accepting salvation through His Son, Jesus.

“Great peace have they which love Your (God’s) law and nothing shall offend them” Psalms 119:165 (emphasis added).

I wouldn’t sell my peace for a million dollars. If you don’t have that kind of peace, wouldn’t you like to have it?

You can have perfect peace, even in the middle of the worst situation, just repent and surrender your life and your will to God, and He will give you great peace!

Jesus said,

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” John 14:27.

The sky turned red over the U.K. as Ophelia made landfall

The record-breaking Fall 2017 natural disasters continue in force as the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia strike Ireland and the U.K., bringing with it hurricane-force gusts.  Several people have reportedly been killed and nearly 400,000 homes and businesses are without power

.  It was the most powerful cyclone to strike the British Isles in 56 years

.  That makes this storm highly unusual.

Strange and unusual weather happens from time to time, but what year can possibly be compared to this year?  It’s the convergence of these events in Fall 2017 that piques the interest.  Those scoffers who say nothing is happening are blind to reality.
1. Most powerful cyclone in the British Isles in 56 years – 30 foot waves were recorded.

2. Deadliest wildfire in California’s history still ongoing

(40+ killed, 99+ still missing, 5,700+ structures destroyed, 220,000+ acres burned).

3. Deadliest earthquake in Mexico in 32 years

.

4. Days before #3, the most powerful earthquake in North America in 50 years

, which was the most powerful quake in Mexico in 85 years.

5. Harvey: most rainfall from any storm in U.S. history; possibly costliest disaster in U.S. history; first major hurricane to make U.S. landfall in 12 years.

6. Irma: most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the open Atlantic; lowest central pressure of a hurricane ever recorded in the open Atlantic; the longest, most powerful sustained winds ever recorded for a cyclone anywhere in the world; longest lasting Category 5 hurricane in 51 years.

7. Maria: first Category 5 and most powerful hurricane ever to hit Dominica.  Most powerful hurricane to make landfall in Puerto Rico in 89 years.

8. The most powerful solar flare since 2003 and the most powerful solar flare to hit earth since 1997

.

9. Largest wildfire in Los Angeles history

.

10. Worst monsoon and flooding in South Asia in decades

in which over 1,300 were killed.

These are just a sampling from the past few months.  There were also record heatwaves and wildfires in Europe, some of which are ongoing among many other extreme weather events.  Outside of natural disasters, we tragically witnessed the largest mass shooting in U.S. history

.

Most importantly, significant prophetic events actually have taken place just like in 2015 when many scoffed and then Russia and Iran moved into Syria, setting the stage for the fulfillment of parts of Ezekiel 38.  Just last week on the 7th day of the Feast of Tabernacles or Shemini Atzeret depending on which calendar you use, Fatah and Hamas signed and announced a final reconciliation agreement

that reunifies Palestine after a decade-long split.  This paves the way for a final peace agreement between Israel and Palestine that could very well be the covenant spoken of in Daniel 9:27.  This was huge news.  Keep watching!

SYRIA WARNS OF ‘SERIOUS REPERCUSSIONS’ FOLLOWING ISRAELI AIRSTRIKE

Israeli jets destroyed Assad regime SA-5 anti-aircraft battery after it fired on Israeli reconnaissance planes.

The Syrian Army has warned of “dangerous consequences” following an air strike by Israel on a regime SA-5 antiaircraft battery east of Damascus, after it fired a surface-to-air missile at Israeli jets.

According to SANA, the Syrian air defense “directly hit one of the jets, forcing the enemy to retreat,” contradicting Israeli military claims that all planes had returned safely from the operation.

The SA-5 missile battery, which was stationed some 50 kilometers east of the Syrian capital, fired at the Israeli jets which were on a routine aerial reconnaissance flight in Lebanese airspace, IDF spokesman Brig.-Gen. Ronen Manelis stated.

Israel believes that the Syrians fired at the Israeli jets at 10 a.m. Monday after thinking that they intended to attack.

All Israeli aircraft returned safely to base and a few hours later responded by launching four missiles toward the same battery, destroying it.

“We see the Syrian regime as responsible and see these missiles as a clear Syrian provocation, and it will not be accepted,” Manelis stated, adding that while Israel has no intention to enter into the civil war in Syria, Israel will react to all provocations and is prepared for the possibility of retaliation.

“If antiaircraft fire is being carried out for any military activity, we will respond as we did now,” he said on a call with journalists, adding that Russia was updated about the incident in real time and that it would be brought up during the visit of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who landed in Israel hours after the attack.

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman met privately with Shoigu at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv on Monday evening before being joined by IDF Chief of Staff Lt.- Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, Military Intelligence chief Maj.-Gen.

Herzl Halevi and the director of the Defense Ministry’s Political- Military Affairs Bureau, Zohar Palti.

“We will not interfere in Syria’s internal affairs, but on the other hand we will not allow Iran and Hezbollah to turn Syria into a forward outpost against Israel, and we will not allow the transfer of sophisticated weapons from Iran through Syria to Lebanon,” Liberman said in a statement.

Shoigu, who is in Israel to discuss the Jewish state’s ongoing concerns regarding Iran’s entrenchment in Syria and the transfer of advanced weapons to Hezbollah by Tehran through Damascus, will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

Moscow intervened in the Syrian conflict in September 2015, and officials from Israel and Russia meet regularly to discuss the deconfliction mechanism implemented over Syria to prevent accidental clashes between the two militaries.

Israel rarely comments on foreign reports of military activity in Syria but has publicly admitted to having struck over 100 Hezbollah targets in Syria, with Netanyahu saying that strikes will continue when “we have information and operational feasibility.”

Netanyahu commented on the attack in Syria on Monday afternoon, hours after it was announced by the IDF.

“Our policy is clear,” he said in a statement. “Anyone who tries to harm us will be hit. Today they tried to hit our planes, which is unacceptable to us.” Netanyahu said the IAF acted with “precision and speed” and “destroyed what needed to be destroyed. We will continue to act as is needed to protect Israel’s security.”

During an IAF operation in March to strike a Hezbollah arms convoy in Syria, regime air defense fired three surface-to-air missiles toward IAF jets. It was the most serious incident between the two countries since the war in Syria began six years ago.

Following the incident, Liberman warned against any further launching of missiles by the Syrian regime, threatening to destroy all Syrian air defenses.

According to the IDF, the SA-5 missile battery destroyed by Israeli jets on Monday was the same that fired at Israeli jets in March, prompting Israel make use of its Arrow antimissile system for the first time. The Syrians claimed at the time that one Israeli jet had been shot down and another damaged, a claim strongly denied by the IDF.

The Arrow system, which has been operational since 2000, was designed to intercept heavy, longrange ground-to-ground ballistic missiles, and updates to the system have expanded its capabilities to also intercept medium-range missiles and rockets.

In January, the IAF officially took delivery of the first Arrow-3 interceptor, the most advanced Arrow system, which is designed to provide ultimate air defense by intercepting ballistic missiles when they are still outside the Earth’s atmosphere. (Click to Site)

Pharmacist who shuttles carloads of pharma drugs to Congress admits they’re senile, brain-damaged patients who “might not even remember what happened yesterday”

obama_health_care_speech_to_joint_session_of_congress

(Natural News) Many of the nation’s top lawmakers appear to be pharmaceutical drug addicts who rely on a steady stream of pharma pills being covertly shipped into them daily at Capitol Hill via a local pharmacy in D.C. known as Grubb’s. It’s a quaint little place that a recent article published by STATNews.com featured in an almost sentimental light, while also admitting that many members of Congress who utilize its services likely “aren’t all there” in terms of their brain function.

Mike Kim, the head pharmacist and owner of Grubb’s, should know; he’s the one who’s responsible for filling prescriptions for members of Congress. And he says that what he sees are plenty of prescriptions for things like diabetes and circulation issues, as well as for more serious conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. This, he says, is somewhat concerning because it calls into question whether or not the people crafting our country’s laws are cognitively fit to be making such important decisions.

“It makes you kind of sit back and say, ‘Wow, they’re making the highest laws of the land and they might not even remember what happened yesterday,’” Kim reportedly told STATNews.com.

Grubb’s has apparently been involved in legally trafficking pharmaceuticals to and from the Capitol building on a daily basis since at least 1997. It operates through the Office of the Attending Physician (OAP), which basically functions as the personal physician for members of Congress. The OAP is secretive in its dealings – and understandably so, seeing as how the personal medical affairs of members of Congress should remain private, just as they do for every other American.

But where the concern lies is with the ease of access that Congress has to drugs in general, not to mention the ones that are used to treat cognitive decline. Not only does Congress get to cut to the front of the line, so to speak, when it comes to accessing drugs at Grubb’s but it also gets them hand delivered – oftentimes to the tune of 800 prescriptions per day.

“Nearly every day for at least two decades pharmaceutical drugs have been brought by the carload to the Capitol – an arrangement so under the radar that even pharmacy lobbyists who regularly pitch Congress on their industry aren’t aware of it,” writes Erin Mershon for STATNews.com.

“The deliveries arrive at the secretive Office of the Attending Physician, an elaborate medical clinic where Navy doctors triage medical emergencies and provide basic health care for lawmakers who pay an annual fee of just over $600. Every one comes from Washington’s oldest community pharmacy, Grubb’s.”

John McCain: Grubb’s has ‘injured me on several occasions’

While it can’t be said with certainty which members of Congress are taking Alzheimer’s drugs, there are clues for those with eyes to see. During her failed bid for the presidency, Hillary Clinton, for instance, showed signs of possible brain abnormalities, spiraling into strange bouts of head bobbing and eye movements that point to brain damage. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has similarly displayed strange behaviors while giving speeches that suggest she might have a form of dementia.

John McCain is another longtime member of Congress who, in speaking with STATNews.com, basically admitted that he’s a regularly recipient of drugs from Grubb’s. He told the news outlet that the people who work at Grubb’s are “good people,” and that “they’re always courteous.” He went on to explain that they have a difficult job but that they always cooperate with him, adding strangely that nobody should tell them that because “they’ve injured me on several occasions,” he said, apparently in jest. Ireland closes schools as rare hurricane approaches

part-dv-dv1936587-1-1-0

Dublin (AFP) – Ireland has ordered all schools to close Monday as the country braces for an “unprecedented storm” with the arrival of Ophelia, the largest hurricane ever recorded so far east in the Atlantic Ocean.

“In response to the imminent Storm Ophelia, the Department of Education and Skills is now publicly informing all schools, colleges and other education institutions that they are to remain closed tomorrow, Monday 16 October,” the department said in a statement.

The decision followed discussions with the government’s emergency planning task force and advice “on this unprecedented storm” from Ireland’s Met Eireann national weather service, the statement added.

Met Eireann issued a nationwide “status red” alert and warned of “potential risk to lives” when the storm hits daytime Monday.

Although Ophelia will weaken as the storm travels over cooler seas towards the west coast of Ireland, Met Eireann forecast “violent and destructive gusts”.

Heavy rain and storm surges are expected to lead to flooding.

An amber wind warning has been issued for Northern Ireland between 1400 GMT and 2100 GMT, when gusts could reach up to 130 kph (80 mph).

“By the time Ophelia reaches our latitudes, she will be weakening and will be an ex-hurricane,” said Steve Ramsdale, chief forecaster at Britain’s Met Office national weather service.

“However, Ex-Ophelia will be bringing some significant impacts to Northern Ireland and western and northern Britain on Monday and Tuesday.”

Scotland, Wales and parts of England were under yellow warnings issued by the Met Office, which forecast “very strong winds” and heavy rain in some areas.

– Travel disruption –

Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said on Sunday that defence forces were being deployed to areas due to be hit by the storm.

Ophelia is the 15th named storm of the 2017 Atlantic season, which is expected to last until the end of November.

Three major hurricanes — Harvey, Irma and Maria — caused catastrophic damage in the Caribbean and the US Gulf Coast.

Meteorologists say Ophelia is the most powerful hurricane recorded so far east in the Atlantic and the first since 1939 to travel so far north.

It was classed Category 3 on Saturday as it passed near Portugal’s Azores islands, which means it packed winds of at least 178 kilometres (110 miles) per hour.

When Ophelia reaches Ireland on Monday it is expected to weaken to a “post tropical storm”, according to the US National Hurricane Center.

“Mean wind speeds in excess of 80 kph (50 mph) and gusts in excess of 130 kph (80 mph) are expected, potentially causing structural damage and disruption, with dangerous marine conditions due to high seas and potential flooding,” it said.

Flights, ferries and buses all face disruption. Cork Airport in southwest Ireland said “cancellations are likely” and urged passengers to check with their airlines in advance of travel.

– Sea warning –

Matt Crofts, a lifesaving manager with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, said the seas could be “particularly dangerous and unpredictable”.

“Stormy conditions may be tempting to watch but big waves can easily knock you off your feet.

“We understand why people want to experience extreme weather, but it’s not worth risking your life, so we strongly urge people to respect the water and watch from a safe distance.”

Seven of the nine islands in the Azores were put on high alert for the storm’s passage, but it did not cause major damage, authorities told reporters.

Four trees were torn out of the ground on the island of Sao Miguel and firefighters responded to six incidents across the Azores to deal with small floods or landslides.

Several flights between the islands or to the Portuguese mainland were cancelled, affecting about 800 passengers. (Click to Site)

Yemen’s cholera outbreak now the worst in history as millionth case looms

Experts predict fastest-spreading cholera epidemic since records began will affect at least 1 million people by turn of year, including at least 600,000 children

3374

The cholera epidemic in Yemen has become the largest and fastest-spreading outbreak of the disease in modern history, with a million cases expected by the end of the year and at least 600,000 children likely to be affected.

The World Health Organization has reported more than 815,000 suspected cases of the disease in Yemen and 2,156 deaths. About 4,000 suspected cases are being reported daily, more than half of which are among children under 18. Children under five account for a quarter of all cases.

The spread of the outbreak, which has quickly surpassed Haiti as the biggest since modern records began in 1949, has been exacerbated by hunger and malnutrition. While there were 815,000 cases of cholera in Haiti between 2010 and 2017, Yemen has exceeded that number in just six months.

Save the Children has warned that, at the current rate of infection, the number of cases will reach seven figures before the turn of the year, 60% of which will be among children. In July, the International Committee of the Red Cross predicted there would be 600,000 suspected cholera cases in the country by the end of the year.

Tamer Kirolos, Save the Children’s country director for Yemen, said an outbreak of this scale and speed is “what you get when a country is brought to its knees by conflict, when a healthcare system is on the brink of collapse, when its children are starving, and when its people are blocked from getting the medical treatment they need”.

Kirolos said: “There’s no doubt this is a man-made crisis. Cholera only rears its head when there’s a complete and total breakdown in sanitation. All parties to the conflict must take responsibility for the health emergency we find ourselves in.”

More than two years of fighting between the Saudi-led coalition and Houthi rebels has crippled the country, causing widespread internal displacement, the collapse of the public health system, and leaving millions on the brink of famine.

The crisis was exacerbated when sanitation workers whose salaries had gone unpaid went on strike. This meant garbage was left on the streets, which was then washed into the water supply. It is estimated that 19.3 million Yemenis – more than two-thirds of the population – do not have access to clean water and sanitation.

The government stopped funding the public health department in 2016, meaning many doctors and hospital staff have not received salaries for more than a year. Healthcare has since been provided mainly by international organisations, the efforts of whom have been hampered by the conflict.

The spread of the disease has nonetheless slowed. At the beginning of the most recent outbreak, in May this year, between 5,000 and 6,000 new cases were detected daily. That rate has since dropped to just under 4,000 a day. The mortality rate has also declined, from 1% at the beginning of the outbreak to 0.26% now.

“Whatever decline we’re seeing now is due to the heroic efforts of workers at the scene,” said Sherin Varkey, the officiating representative of Unicef Yemen.

Varkey said the situation would not be solved until there was peace in the country.

“There are no signals that give us any reason for optimism. We know that both parties to the conflict are continuing with their blatant disregard of the rights of children,” he said. “We’re at a cliff and we’re staring down and it is bottomless. There seems to be no hope.”

A worker is pictured in a government hospital’s drug store in Sana’a, Yemen

Cholera should be easily treatable with oral rehydration salts and access to clean water. But Mariam Aldogani, Save the Children’s health adviser for the city of Hodeidah, said conditions in the country had made this very difficult.

Aldogani said: “All the NGOs are trying to increase the knowledge of how to prevent the disease, because it’s preventable, you have to boil the water. But if you don’t have money to buy gas, and you have to walk a long way to get the wood, how can you boil the water?”

Aldogani, who has been a doctor since 2006, said witnessing the suffering of her patients was deeply painful. “I saw one young man, he had cholera and severe dehydration. He was in a coma and he died in front of his mother. We tried our best, but he came too late and she was crying, and I cried. It makes me angry. When I see a mother lose her baby, especially a stillbirth, she waits for this baby for a long time and then she loses it because of cholera, it makes me so angry.

“The war is a big problem for us, it’s a wound. But with the cholera, you have the wound and you put salt in the wound. It hurts. I hope this war can be stopped. We need peace for the children of Yemen. Our situation before the war was not good, but it was not like this.” (Click to Site)

  • This article was amended on 13 October 2017. A previous version said Mariam Aldogani had been a doctor since 2010, she has been a doctor since 2006 and joined Save the Children in 2010

Exclusive: Former West Point professor’s letter exposes corruption, cheating and failing standards [Full letter]

Robert Heffington’s letter comes after weeks of controversy at the military academy.

screen-shot-2017-10-11-at-2-23-52-pm

The following letter was written by retired LTC Robert M. Heffington as an open letter. Heffington was an assistant professor at West Point for several years, until this past August.

The letter has been circulating for a few days in private among the military.

Heffington confirmed to American Military News on Wednesday that he did write the letter, and he sent a signed copy.

He wrote the letter in light of recent media coverage of 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone, a West Point graduate and infantry officer who recently came under fire for his public advocacy and support of socialism and communism, and being an “official socialist organizer” of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

The broader conversation that has been taking place in the military community now is what exactly went on – and goes on – at West Point that a graduate such as Rapone would feel so strongly empowered to apparently be a socialist and/or communist and spread these doctrines.

Heffington says the Military Academy turned a blind eye to Rapone’s behavior and his “very public hatred” of West Point. While this doesn’t mean leaders at West Point defend Rapone’s views, it means that West Point’s senior leaders “are infected with apathy: they simply do not want to deal with any problem, regardless of how grievous a violation of standards and/or discipline it may be,” Heffington writes.

Rapone was recently discovered to be a communist propagandist and “official socialist organizer” of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) after he posted a photo to Twitter of himself in support of professional football player Colin Kaepernick, where he is seen in his West Point uniform at graduation holding his cap that contains a piece of paper that says “Communism will win.”

Rapone’s social media was filled with up to hundreds of posts, messages and photos that were being circulated around the military and civilian communities. His Twitter account is now set to protected, and his Instagram account has been taken down. His Facebook, where he goes under Giuseppe Impastato, is private.

Rapone had also posted a second photo of himself in uniform, and he is seen wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt underneath his uniform jacket. Guevara was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary who believed the poor people of Latin America would be saved by communism.

Rapone is a 2LT (Second Lieutenant) and an infantry officer in the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y. He has deployed to Afghanistan and received a combat infantryman badge (CIB).

Rapone has been widely criticized on the internet – and so has West Point, for seemingly allowing this behavior and appearing to turn a blind eye to an apparent communist who espouses many things the U.S. Military and the United States fight against. West Point has said that Rapone’s actions “in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army.”

In Heffington’s letter, he says the most recent coverage of Rapone only highlights a “disturbing trend” that he has observed over several years of being on the faculty at West Point, which are “fundamental changes […] that have eroded it to the point where I question whether the institution should even remain open.”

The following is Heffington’s letter in its entirety:

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

Before you read any further, please understand that the following paragraphs come from a place of intense devotion and loyalty to West Point. My experience as a cadet had a profound impact upon who I am and upon the course of my life, and I remain forever grateful that I have the opportunity to be a part of the Long Gray Line. I firmly believe West Point is a national treasure and that it can and should remain a vitally important source of well trained, disciplined, highly educated Army officers and civilian leaders. However, during my time on the West Point faculty (2006-2009 and again from 2013-2017), I personally witnessed a series of fundamental changes at West Point that have eroded it to the point where I question whether the institution should even remain open. The recent coverage of 2LT Spenser Rapone – an avowed Communist and sworn enemy of the United States – dramatically highlighted this disturbing trend. Given my recent tenure on the West Point faculty and my direct interactions with Rapone, his “mentors,” and with the Academy’s leadership, I believe I can shed light on how someone like Rapone could possibly graduate.

First and foremost, standards at West Point are nonexistent. They exist on paper, but nowhere else. The senior administration at West Point inexplicably refuses to enforce West Point’s publicly touted high standards on cadets, and, having picked up on this, cadets refuse to enforce standards on each other. The Superintendent refuses to enforce admissions standards or the cadet Honor Code, the Dean refuses to enforce academic standards, and the Commandant refuses to enforce standards of conduct and discipline. The end result is a sort of malaise that pervades the entire institution. Nothing matters anymore. Cadets know this, and it has given rise to a level of cadet arrogance and entitlement the likes of which West Point has never seen in its history.

Every fall, the Superintendent addresses the staff and faculty and lies. He repeatedly states that “We are going to have winning sports teams without compromising our standards,” and everyone in Robinson Auditorium knows he is lying because we routinely admit athletes with ACT scores in the mid-teens across the board. I have personally taught cadets who are borderline illiterate and cannot read simple passages from the assigned textbooks. It is disheartening when the institution’s most senior leader openly lies to his own faculty-and they all know it.

The cadet honor code has become a laughingstock. Cadets know they will not be separated for violating it, and thus they do so on a daily basis. Moreover, since they refuse to enforce standards on each other and police their own ranks, cadets will rarely find a cadet at an honor hearing despite overwhelming evidence that a violation has occurred. This in tum has caused the staff and faculty to give up even reporting honor incidents. Why would a staff or faculty member expend the massive amount of time and energy it takes to report an honor violation-including writing multiple sworn statements, giving interviews, and testifying at the honor hearing-when they know without a doubt the cadet will not be found (or, if found, the Superintendent will not separate the cadet)? To make matters worse, the senior leadership at West Point actively discourages staff and faculty from reporting honor violations. l was unfortunate enough to experience this first hand during my first tour on the faculty, when the Commandant of Cadets called my office phone and proceeded to berate me in the most vulgar and obscene language for over ten minutes because I had reported a cadet who lied to me and then asked if “we could just drop it.” Of course, I was duty bound to report the cadet’s violation, and I did. During the course of the berating I received from the Commandant, I never actually found out why he was so angry. It seemed that he was simply irritated that the institution was having to deal with the case, and that it was my fault it even existed. At the honor hearing the next day, I ended up being the one on trial as my character and reputation were dragged through the mud by the cadet and her civilian attorney while I sat on the witness stand without any assistance. In the end, of course, the cadet was not found (despite having at first admitted that she lied), and she eventually graduated. Just recently a cadet openly and obviously plagiarized his History research paper, and his civilian professor reported it. The evidence was overwhelming-there was not the slightest question of his guilt, yet the cadet was not found. The professor, and indeed all the faculty who knew of the case, were completely demoralized. This is the new norm for the cadet honor system. In fact, there is now an addition to the honor system (the Willful Admission Process) which essentially guarantees that if a cadet admits a violation, then separation is not even a possibility. In reality, separation is not a possibility anyway because the Superintendent refuses to impose that sanction.

Academic standards are also nonexistent. I believe this trend started approximately ten years ago, and it has continued to get worse. West Point has stated standards for academic expectations and performance, but they are ignored. Cadets routinely fail multiple classes and they are not separated at the end-of-semester Academic Boards. Their professors recommend “Definitely Separate,” but those recommendations are totally disregarded. I recently taught a cadet who failed four classes in one semester (including mine), in addition to several she had failed in previous semesters, and she was retained at the Academy. As a result, professors have lost hope and faith in the entire Academic Board process. It has been made clear that cadets can fail a multitude of classes and they will not be separated. Instead, when they fail (and they do to a staggering extent), the Dean simply throws them back into the mix and expects the faculty to somehow drag them through the academic program until they manage to earn a passing grade. What a betrayal this is to the faculty! Also, since they get full grade replacement if they must retake a course, cadets are actually incentivized to fail. They know they can re-take the course over the summer when they have no other competing requirements, and their new grade completely replaces the failing one. ST AP (Summer Term Academic Program) is also now an accepted summer detail assignment, so retaking a course during the summer translates into even more summer leave for the deficient cadet.

Even the curriculum itself has suffered. The plebe American History course has been revamped to focus completely on race and on the narrative that America is founded solely on a history of racial oppression. Cadets derisively call it the “I Hate America Course.” Simultaneously, the plebe International History course now focuses on gender to the exclusion of many other important themes. On the other hand, an entire semester of military history was recently deleted from the curriculum (at West Point!). In all courses, the bar has been lowered to the point where it is irrelevant. If a cadet fails a course, the instructor is blamed, so instructors are incentivized to pass everyone. Additionally, instead of responding to cadet failure with an insistence that cadets rise to the challenge and meet the standard, the bar for passing the course itself is simply lowered. This pattern is widespread and pervades every academic department.

Conduct and disciplinary standards are in perhaps the worst shape of all. Cadets are jaded, cynical, arrogant, and entitled. They routinely talk back to and snap at their instructors (military and civilian alike), challenge authority, and openly refuse to follow regulations. They are allowed to wear civilian clothes in almost any arena outside the classroom, and they flaunt that privilege. Some arrive to class unshaven, in need of haircuts, and with uniforms that look so ridiculously bad that, at times, I could not believe I was even looking at a West Point cadet. However, if a staff or faculty member attempts to correct the cadet in question, that staff/faculty member is sure to be reprimanded for “harassing cadets.” For example, as I made my rounds through the barracks inspecting study conditions one evening as the Academic Officer in Charge, I encountered a cadet in a company study room. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans and nothing else, and was covered in tattoos. He had long hair, was unshaven, and I was honestly unsure ifhe was even a cadet. He looked more like a prison convict to me. When I questioned what he was doing there, he remained seated in his chair and sneered at me that he “was authorized” because he was a First Class cadet. I proceeded to correct him and then reported him to the chain of command the next morning. Later that day I received an email from the Brigade Tactical Officer telling me to “stay in my lane.” I know many other officers receive the same treatment when attempting to make corrections. It is extremely discouraging when the response is invariably one that comes to the defense of the cadet.

That brings me to another point: cadets’ versions of stories are always valued more highly by senior leaders than those of commissioned officers on the staff and faculty. It is as if West Point’s senior leaders believe their job is to “protect” cadets from the staff and faculty at all costs. This might explain why the faculty’s recommendations are ignored at the Academic Boards, why honor violations are ignored (and commissioned officers are verbally abused for bringing them to light), and why cadets always “win” when it comes to conduct and disciplinary issues.

It seems that the Academy’s senior leaders are intimidated by cadets. During my first tour on the faculty (I was a CPT at the time), I noticed that 4th class cadets were going on leave in civilian clothes when the regulation clearly stated they were supposed to be wearing a uniform. During a discussion about cadet standards between the BTO and the Dept. of History faculty, I asked why plebes were going on leave in civilian clothes. His answer astonished me: “That rule is too hard to enforce.” Yet West Point had no problem enforcing that rule on me in the mid-1990s. I found it impossible to believe that the several hundred field grade officers stationed at West Point could not make teenagers wear the uniform. This anecdote highlights the fact that West Point’s senior leaders lack not the ability but the motivation to enforce their will upon the Corps of Cadets.

This brings me to the case of now-2LT Spenser Rapone. It is not at all surprising that the Academy turned a blind eye to his behavior and to his very public hatred of West Point, the Army, and this nation. I knew at the time I wrote that sworn statement in 2015 that he would go on to graduate. It is not so much that West Point’s leadership defends his views (Prof. Hosein did, however); it is that West Point’s senior leaders are infected with apathy: they simply do not want to deal with any problem, regardless of how grievous a violation of standards and/or discipline it may be. They are so reticent to separate problematic cadets (undoubtedly due to the “developmental model” that now exists at USMA) that someone like Rapone can easily slip through the cracks. In other words, West Point’s leaders choose the easier wrong over the harder right.

I could go on, but I fear that this letter would simply devolve into a screed, which is not my intention. I will sum up by saying this: a culture of extreme permissiveness has invaded the Military Academy, and there seems to be no end to it. Moreover, this is not unintentional; it is a deliberate action that is being taken by the Academy’s senior leadership, though they refuse to acknowledge or explain it. Conduct and behavior that would never be tolerated at a civilian university is common among cadets, and it is supported and defended by the Academy’s senior leaders in an apparent and misguided effort to attract more applicants and cater to what they see as the unique needs of this generation of cadets.

Our beloved Military Academy has lost its way. It is a shadow of what it once was. It used to be a place where standards and discipline mattered, and where concepts like duty, honor, and country were real and they meant something. Those ideas have been replaced by extreme permissiveness, rampant dishonesty, and an inexplicable pursuit of mediocrity. Instead of scrambling to restore West Point to what it once was, the Academy’s senior leaders give cadets more and more privileges in a seeming effort to tum the institution into a third-rate civilian liberal arts college. Unfortunately, they have largely succeeded. The few remaining members of the staff and faculty who are still trying to hold the line are routinely berated, ignored, and ultimately silenced for their unwillingness to “go along with the program.” The Academy’s senior leaders simply do not want to hear their voices or their concerns. Dissent is crushed-I was repeatedly told to keep quiet at faculty meetings, even as a LTC, because my dissent was neither needed nor appreciated.

It breaks my heart to write this. It breaks my heart to know first-hand what West Point was versus what it has become. This is not a “Corps has” story; it is meant to highlight a deliberate and radical series of changes being undertaken at the highest levels of USMA’ s leadership that are detrimental to the institution. Criticizing these changes is not popular. I have already been labeled a “traitor” by some at the Academy due to my sworn statement’s appearance in the media circus surrounding Spenser Rapone. However, whenever I hear this, I am reminded of the Cadet Prayer:

” … suffer not our hatred of hypocrisy and pretense ever to diminish. Make us to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong, and never to be content with a half-truth when the whole can be won. …that scorns to compromise with vice and injustice, and knows no fear when truth and right are in jeopardy.”

West Point was once special, and it can be again. Spenser Rapone never should have been admitted, much less graduate, but he was-and that mistake is directly attributable to the culture of permissiveness and apathy that now exists there.

Sincerely and Respectfully,

Robert M. Heffington

Soros’ Antifa Is the Force Behind the Curtain- Mark November 4th On Your Calendar

antifa-768x768

In 2014, I wrote extensively about the Central American illegal alien invasion. I said, at that time, because of the nature of many of the immigrants, that the seeds for a wave of unprecedented terror attacks were being put into place. That moment has arrived and did so with the Vegas massacre.

Just when you think that things cannot get any crazier, I was sent the following link:

The Communist Party Plans Takeover Of the U.S. on Saturday November 4, 2017. This includes “Refuse Fascism,” Antifa, Soros, ISIS, and many other extreme leftist groups. They plan riots every day until they unseat President Trump.

Normally, I dismiss these kinds of contacts because they are so numerous and they are seemingly unverified. However, upon closer examination, this warning has teeth based upon previous investigations and subsequent publication on The Common Sense Show.

The Long Predicted American Version of the TET Offensive Began In 2014

In the summer of 2014, I wrote a series of articles decrying the illegal and dangerous immigration which was perpetrated by the Obama administration. Through my investigations, I was befriended by two Border Patrol agents who shared with me that they were catching MS-13 gangster/assassins at the border. DHS was ordering that these illegal alien criminals be detained until there were 8-10 of these murderers and then they were ordered to be released into the interior of the United States. MS-13 was transformed from the most deadly street gang in the world to being employed as the hitmen of the drug cartels. It should be noted that from 2008 to 2015, I authored over a dozen articles in which the economic and political associations between the drug cartels and the major terrorist groups in the world were established. It should be noted that this was the same period that Judicial Watch published photos of an ISIS base camp located 8 miles from El Paso, Texas.

It was also reported at that time Congressman Bridinstine (R-OK) tried to investigate many nefarious claims about the 2014 wave of illegal Central American immigration invasion by going to Ft. Sill to investigate. This was necessary since the leaked information indictated that many of these kinds of illegal activities were transpiring at the base including reports of child-sex-trafficking. The Congressman was turned away and told by DHS to “make an appointment”.

It was also at this time that I wrote two articles in which I predicted a TET style of offensive (1968 Vietnam War reference), with extreme terrorist attacks would sweep across the country until the country ceased to be governed in coherent manner. I predicted that the anarchy would topple the Federal government and de facto martial law would take place.

Other Voices Speak Out About the Danger

Paul Williams, a former FBI Consultant, wrote a book shortly after 9/11 and stated that reliable reports had reached United States officials that al Qaeda operatives were able to get at least two nuclear suitcase bombs into the United States. Williams went on to state that bin Laden had previously used his vast wealth, derived from control of Afghanistan’s poppy trade, to pay off high ranking MS-13 leaders. Williams further asserted that bin Laden paid as much as $50,ooo to smuggle sleeper agents into the United States. Williams is not alone in this belief as the author of Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America, Brigitte Gabriel, stated that there are terrorists coming through our southern border due to the cooperation and joint efforts of  of MS-13  and Hezbollah and they are intent on introducing a Hiroshima event on American soil!

Back in 2010, an internal memo was leaked from the Tucson Police Department. which stated that Islamic terrorist groups are commencing operations in Mexico and forming alarming ties with the country’s brutal drug cartels. In turn, the drug cartels are now associated with Hezbollah. The memo also references a large weapons stockpile in Mexico as evidenced by the 2010 Tijuana arrest of Hezbollah militant Jameel Nasr, who was given the job of establishing a well-armed Hezbollah network in Mexico and South America. Nasr was apparently bringing this terror network north when he was captured. The memo also discussed the April 2009 arrest of Jamal Yousef in New York, which exposed a huge cache of assault rifles, hand grenades, explosives and anti-tank munitions. According to the report, the weapons were stored in Mexico, but only after being smuggled from Iraq by members of Hezbollah. As a temporary aside, where do you think ISIS is getting its weapons? The preceding references contained in the Tucson Police memo just answered that question. This network has been taken over by ISIS as well as the Muslim Brotherhood and this network has its roots in clandestine operations in the Philippines. This is how Stephen Paddockmade his money. I now have two confidential sources who tell me that Paddock was a CIA pilot flying “Air America” style operation in which he moved guns, children and drugs into the United States from the Philippines.

In the past year I have written 3 articles in which I detailed how President Duterte was executing drug dealers and child-sex-trafficker in the Philippines. It is clear that Duterte obtained his information from the Trump people. In retaliation, ISIS forces attacked several Philippino cities and it took Duterte’s army to put down the insurrection.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT I RECEIVED INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION AT 3PM (PACIFIC) WHICH STATED THAT ANTIFA WAS PARTNERING WITH MS-13 AND ISIS. ISIS TOOK CREDIT FOR THE MASSACRE. ISIS CLAIMS PADDOCK WAS A CONVERT.

Also, revealed in the previously mentioned report, according to Yousef, was the fact that the weapons were stored in Mexico after being smuggled from Iraq by members of Hezbollah. The memo further warns that there could be dire consequences due to the new level of cooperation between Hezbollah and Mexico’s drug partnerships and this could be disastrous given Hezbollah’s advanced and new weapons capabilities. The report goes on to state that some Mexican criminal organizations have started using small IEDs which is clearly illustrative of the use of car bombs which is a hallmark trait of Islamic terrorists. IED’s are clearly the least of our worries with regard to the increased influx of MS-13 terrorists. The TSA is allowing the illegal immigrants to fly on airplanes without an ID.

I HAVE LEARNED THAT PADDOCK FLEW THE VEGAS MASSACRE WEAPONS IN FROM THE PHILIPPINES. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT DHS WAS CONDUCTING AN ACTIVE DHS-SPONSORED SHOOTER DRILL IN VEGAS AT THE TIME OF THE MASSACRE. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THAT DHS HAD BEEN INFILTRATED BY MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD SYMPATHIZERS IN TOP LEVEL POSITIONS. THE DOTS ARE CONNECTING, PERFECTLY.

Speaking of IED’s, the readers may recall that immediately after the Vegas masssacre, that a much broader and more deadly plot was foiled in Times Square which involved the potential use of IED’s on the New York Subway system as well as killling people in public at Times Square and nearby, would-be concert goers.

World Net Daily

What I have been reporting since 2014 as well as trying to sound the alarm about is finally getting traction in the Independent Media. Please consider what World Net Daily is reporting.

  1. On November 4th, there will be a wave of terror attacks in the country.
  2. These attacks will spread in terms of frequency and intensity until the Trump administration is drive n from office.

Conclusion

There is no conclusion to this story as of this date. America is entering her most tumultuous period in her history.

Paul Martin contacted me last night to inform me that a DOD official is bugging out from the East Coast because it is not safe. You have been warned. (Click to Site)
