Massive Earthquake Strikes Iraq As Star Of Bethlehem Rises Over Israel

venus-jupiter

A massive 7.3 magnitude earthquake has just struck Halabjah, Iraq, just miles from the Iraqi/Iranian border as the long-expected Jupiter-Venus conjunction is rising over Israel and the Middle East.  Details are coming out slowly, but at this time we can report that at least 400 have been killed and over 6,500 injured in the devastating earthquake.  It was the most powerful earthquake in the entire Middle East in five years, and the most powerful earthquake in Iraq in recorded history.

This is happening while a very close conjunction of Jupiter and Venus is rising over the Middle East early Monday morning.  The conjunction follows a number of amazing astronomical occurrences that led up to what many have come to call the Revelation 12 Sign.  This conjunction on Monday is reminiscent of a similar conjunction of Jupiter and Venus in 2 BC that many scholars contend was the single best candidate for the Star of Bethlehem at the birth of Christ.

Perhaps even bigger news is afoot in Israel as news is breaking that a soon-to-be-revealed Middle East peace plan designed by the Trump Administration has won the backing of Saudi Arabia and the Saudis are demanding that Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas either agree to the peace plan once revealed or resign.  The Palestinians are sending signals that they may be caving to Saudi demands.

UPDATE: 4 hours and 5 minutes after the earthquake in Iraq, a large 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Japan, which was followed 4 hours and 4 minutes later by an even larger 6.5 magnitude quake in Jaco, Costa Rica (source).   (Click to Source)

The Rewards and Challenges of Listening

The journey to Canaan taught Abram and Sara much about listening. They have learned so much that their names have been changed. What has been added to each of their names? It is the Hebrew letter hey, which is a picture of breath and authority. HaShem’s voice has now become a part of them. Is it all just fun and games from here? Absolutely not, though the rewards will definitely overcome the challenges.
Imagine Abraham there in front of his tent by the oaks of Mamre. Maybe he was engaging in a bit of afternoon daydreaming about where he had come from. He is suddenly startled out of his daydream by three men standing in front of him. As they greeted one another Abraham caught something. The voice of one of these men was a voice he had heard before. It was the voice of the Creator, but now it was coming from a man standing in front of him. No wonder he was hurried in the dinner plans. Can you imagine his face when he ran into the tent and told Sarah, “You won’t believe who is coming to dinner tonight!”
Abraham has come a long way from listening to the inaudible voice become audible. That growth of listening will now put him in line to listen and act on greater instructions. You know, things like “I need someone to intercede for their nephew who has made all the wrong decisions.”
The listening will come with wonders and miracles like, “You just thought you were too old to have children!” The listening would also cause him to hear something he never dreamed of when he was told to sacrifice his son on an altar on Mt. Moriah. It was not the listening that day that would determine his future, but rather his trained response to the words he heard.
Stop for a moment and put yourself in the shoes of Abraham. When he hears HaShem call his name his response is, “Here I am.” In Hebrew it is the word “hineni.” Before we go further, consider how we respond to the sound of our name from a spouse, child, parent or friend. We normally say something like “What do you want” or another conditional response. Abraham’s response, the word “hineni,” is much different. It is more like, “I am here and whatever you need or ask the answer is already yes.”
Abraham did not think to question what he heard, because hineni is never linked to questioning, just yes and obedience. Let’s pull this week and last together. I would imagine we are all in agreement that our desire is for and to listen to HaShem’s voice better. We desire the inaudible to become audible at times. We may even go so far as to say we would like to hear that voice as clear as if it were manifested in front of us. The question we must ask ourselves is, “Are we willing to listen with the attitude of hineni?” Have we grown past putting conditions to the voice? Abraham gives us a great example and footsteps to follow. Since it is revealed to us that he was just a man with issues and failures it kind of takes our excuses away for not trying. Aviv Barley in the Biblical Calendar

6-row-barley-300x225

Biblical Leap Years

The Biblical year begins with the first New Moon after the barley in Israel reaches the stage in its ripeness called Aviv. The period between one year and the next is either 12 or 13 lunar months. Because of this, it is important to check the state of the Barley crops at the end of the 12th month. If the barley is Aviv at this time, then the following New Moon is Hodesh Ha-Aviv (“New Moon of the Aviv”). If the barley is still immature, we must wait another month and then check the barley again at the end of the 13th month.

By convention, a 12-month year is referred to as a Regular Year while a 13th month year is referred to as a Leap Year. This should not be confused with Leap Years in the Gregorian (Christian) Calendar, which involve the “intercalation” (addition) of a single day (Feb. 29). In contrast, the Biblical Leap Year involves the intercalation of an entire lunar month (“Thirteenth Month”, also called “Adar Bet”). In general, it can only be determined whether a year is a Leap Year a few days before the end of the 12th Month.

Where is Aviv Mentioned in the Hebrew Bible?

The story of the Exodus relates “This day you are going out in the the month of the Aviv.” (Ex 13:4).

To commemorate that we left Egypt in the month of the Aviv, we are instructed to bring the Passover sacrifice and celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Chag HaMatzot) at this time of year. In Dt 16:1 we are commanded:

“Keep the month of the Aviv and make the Passover (sacrifice) to Yehovah your God at night, because in the month of the Aviv, Yehovah your God took you out of Egypt”.

Similarly, we are commanded in Ex 23:15,

“You will keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; seven days you will eat unleavened bread, as I have commanded you, at the time of the month of the Aviv, because in it you went out of Egypt.”

The same is commanded in Ex 34:18,

“You will keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; seven days you will eat unleavened bread, as have I commanded you, at the time of the month of the Aviv, because in the month of the Aviv you went out of Egypt.”

What is Aviv?

Aviv indicates a stage in the development of the barley crops. This is clear from Ex 9:31-32 which describes the devastation caused by the plague of hail:

“And the flax and the barley were smitten, because the barley was Aviv and the flax was Giv’ol. And the wheat and the spelt were not smitten because they were dark (Afilot).”

The above passage relates that the barley crops were destroyed by the hail while the wheat and spelt were not damaged. To understand the reason for this we must look at how grain develops. When grains are early in their development they are flexible and have a dark green color. As they become ripe they take on a light yellowish hue and become more brittle. The reason that the barley was destroyed and the wheat was not is that the barley had reached the stage in its development called Aviv and as a result had become brittle enough to be damaged by the hail. In contrast, the wheat and spelt were still early enough in their development, at a stage when they were flexible and not susceptible to being damaged by hail. The description of the wheat and spelt as “dark” (Afilot) indicates that they were still in the stage when they were deep green and had not yet begun to lighten into the light yellowish hue which characterizes ripe grains. In contrast, the barley had reached the stage of Aviv at which time it was no longer “dark” and at this point it probably had begun to develop golden streaks.

Parched Aviv

We know from several passages that barley which is in the state of Aviv has not completely ripened, but has ripened enough so that its seeds can be eaten parched in fire. Parched barley was a commonly eaten food in ancient Israel and is mentioned in numerous passages in the Hebrew Bible as either “Aviv parched (Kalui) in fire” (Lev 2,14) or in the abbreviated form “parched (Kalui/ Kali)” (Lev 23:14; Jos 5:11; 1Sam 17:17; 1 Samuel 25:18; 2 Samuel 17:28; Ruth 2:14).

While still early in its development, barley has not yet produced large enough and firm enough seeds to produce food through parching. This early in its development, when the “head” has just come out of the shaft, the seeds are not substantial enough to produce any food. At a later stage, the seeds have grown in size and have filled with liquid. At this point the seeds will shrivel up when parched and will only produce empty skins. Over time the liquid is replaced with dry material and when enough dry material has amassed the seeds will be able to yield “barley parched in fire”.

Aviv and the Harvest

The month of the Aviv is the month which commences after the barley has reached the stage of Aviv. 2-3 weeks after the beginning of the month the barley has moved beyond the stage of Aviv and is ready to be brought as the “wave-sheaf offering” (Hanafat HaOmer). The “wave-sheaf offering” is a sacrifice brought from the first stalks cut in the harvest and is brought on the Sunday which falls out during Passover (Chag HaMatzot). This is described in Lev 23:10-11,

“When you come to the land which I give you, and harvest its harvest, you will bring the sheaf of the beginning of your harvest to the priest. And he will wave the sheaf before Yehovah so you will be accepted; on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest will wave it.”

From this it is clear that the barley, which was Aviv at the beginning of the month, has become harvest-ready 15-21 days later (i.e by the Sunday during Passover). Therefore, the month of the Aviv can not begin unless the barley has reached a stage where it will be harvest-ready 2-3 weeks later.

That the barley must be harvest-ready 2-3 weeks into the month of the Aviv is also clear from Dt 16:9 which states:

“From when the sickle commences on the standing grain you will begin to count seven weeks.”

From Lev 23:15 we know that the seven weeks between Passover (Chag Hamatzot) and Pentecost (Shavuot) begin on the day when the wave-sheaf offering is brought (i.e. the Sunday which falls out during Passover):

“And you shall count from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day you bring the sheaf of waving; they will be seven complete Sabbaths.”

Therefore, the “sickle commences on the standing grain” on the Sunday during Passover, i.e. 2-3 weeks after the beginning of the month of the Aviv. If the barley is not developed enough so that it will be ready for the sickle 2-3 weeks later, then the month of the Aviv can not begin and we must wait till the following month.

It should be noted that not all the barley ripens in the Land of Israel at the same time. The wave-sheaf offering is a national sacrifice brought from the first fields to become harvest-ready. However, the first-fruit offerings brought by individual farmers can vary in ripeness anywhere from “Aviv parched in fire” to fully ripe grain which may be brought “crushed” or “coarsely ground”. This is what is meant in Lev 2:14,

“And when you bring a first-fruit offering to Yehovah; you shall bring your first-fruit offering as Aviv parched in fire or crushed Carmel” (Carmel is grain which has hardened beyond Aviv to the point where it can be “crushed” or “coarsely ground”).

All of the above passages have been translated directly from the Hebrew and it is worth noting that the King James translators seem to have only understood the various Hebrew agricultural terms very poorly. In Lev 2:14 they translated Carmel as “full ears” and “Aviv” as “green ears” whereas in Lev 23:14 they translated Carmel as “green ears”!

In summation, barley which is in the state of Aviv has 3 characteristics:

  1. It is brittle enough to be destroyed by hail and has begun to lighten in color (it is not “dark”).
  2. The seeds have produced enough dry material so it can be eaten parched.
  3. It has developed enough so that it will be harvest-ready 2-3 weeks later. (Click to Site)

Palestinian Normalization — With Hamas, Not Israel

2841

  • The most widespread conspiracy theory, which has been floating around for decades and can be heard in almost every coffee shop on the streets of Cairo, Amman, Ramallah and Beirut, is that Zionist Jews, together with American capitalists and imperialists, have a secret plan to take control over the Arab and Islamic countries and their resources.
  • How exactly are the “Zionists and imperialists” trying to “undermine” the Palestinian “national project”? And what, precisely, is this project? Is it the project of Hamas and many other Palestinians that seeks the destruction of Israel?
  • The corrupt Arab and Palestinian leaders spread such rumors to divert attention from problems at home, such as corruption and dictatorship. These leaders want their people too busy hating Jews and Westerners to demand reform, democracy and transparency from their leaders. Those valuables, of course, are what Arab and Palestinian leaders still refuse to offer their people.
  • Why do many Palestinians prefer peace with Hamas? Because they identify with Hamas’s dream of destroying Israel and killing Jews. It may be an unpleasant a truth, but that is the bottom line.

When Palestinian women took part in a march with Israeli women for peace this week, they were condemned in the harshest terms by many other Palestinians, who called for their punishment. The Palestinian women who participated in the October 8 event, organized by a group called Women Wage Peace, have been denounced by many of their own people as and “traitors” and “whores.”

Conversely, when Palestinian Authority (PA) officials held “reconciliation” talks with Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip and Egypt during the same period, many Palestinians praised them as “heroes” and “brave.”

Judging from the reactions of many Palestinians, especially on social media, they prefer peace with Hamas rather than with Israel.

The thousands of Palestinian women who participated in the march with Israeli women are being accused of promoting “normalization” with Israel. This, in the eyes of their critics, is an abhorrent and despicable act, tantamount to “high treason” — an offense punishable by death.

Prior to the women’s march, Palestinian activists waged an online bid to stop the Palestinian women from taking part in the “shameful” event. It was a vicious campaign that lasted for several days and that accused the Palestinian women of treason for promoting “normalization” with the “Israeli enemy.” One group, The Women’s Campaign for Boycotting Israeli Merchandise, said in a statement that the planned march was “hurtful to Palestinian and Arab and international efforts to boycott and isolate Israel.” The group pointed out that the march coincided with a “Zionist-imperialist onslaught to undermine the Palestinian national project.”

Exactly which “Zionist-imperialist” conspiracy these protesters are referring to remains unclear.

Such rhetoric, however, reflects the mindset in the Arab and Islamic world. The most widespread conspiracy theory, which has been floating around for decades and can be heard in almost every coffee shop on the streets of Cairo, Amman, Ramallah and Beirut, is that Zionist Jews, together with American capitalists and imperialists, have a secret plan to take control over the Arab and Islamic countries and their resources.

What does a peaceful march of Israeli and Palestinian women have to do with Zionism and imperialism? How exactly are the “Zionists and imperialists” trying to “undermine” the Palestinian “national project”?

And what, precisely, is this project? Is it the project of Hamas and many other Palestinians that seeks the destruction of Israel? Is it the project that still talks about a phased plan to destroy Israel by demanding a Palestinian state next to Israel so that it would be used in the future as a launching pad to eliminate Israel?

Palestinian and Arab leaders have long advanced anti-Israel, anti-Jewish and anti-Western conspiracy theories. Why do these leaders do so? For one purpose: distraction.

The corrupt Arab and Palestinian leaders spread such rumors to divert attention from problems at home, such as corruption and dictatorship. These leaders want their people too busy hating Jews and Westerners to demand reform, democracy and transparency from their leaders. Those valuables, of course, are what Arab and Palestinian leaders still refuse to offer their people.

Back to the controversial women’s march.

The abusive comments hurled against the Palestinian women who took part in the march are frankly embarrassing to read. Even the PLO committee that permitted the participation of the Palestinian women in the march is being pilloried by many Palestinians, with some calling for holding the PLO officials involved accountable.

The verbal abuse is reminiscent of the experience of teenage Palestinian girls who recently participated in a summer camp with Israeli girls in the US. The Palestinian girls endured a massive smear campaign for attending the summer camp, which was organized by Creativity for Peace, an organization in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Like the women from the march, the teenage girls were also cursed on social media and dubbed as “sluts” and “traitors.” The abuse reached the parents of the Palestinian girls, for allowing their daughters to commit the sin of dancing and mixing with Israeli (Jewish) girls. The girls, like the women, were also accused of promoting “normalization” with Israel.

Sadly, only a handful of Palestinians have thus far dared to come out in defense of the summer camp girls or the women who participated in the October 8 march.

While many Palestinians may be opposed to the brutal and senseless attacks on the girls and women, they are terrified of voicing their views in public. No one wants to get targeted by the abusers, especially if some of these people are affiliated with terror groups such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Palestinians have an unfortunate habit of allowing thugs and terrorists to intimidate them, control the discourse and set the agenda. This is certainly not new. Most Palestinians prefer to sit on the fence instead of speaking their minds. This is what happens when you live under ruthless dictatorships such as the Palestinian Authority and Hamas that suppress freedom of expression.

Yet this most recent exhibit has an ironic twist. Just as the women were shamed publicly for taking part in an event with Jewish women, many Palestinians were celebrating the “reconciliation” between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip took to the streets to express their jubilation over the “accord,” and when the PA Prime Minister and his delegation arrived in the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, scenes of kissing and hugging were easy to spot.

What does all this teach us?

First, that many Palestinians continue to consider any form of contact with Jews and “normalization” with the “Zionist entity” an act of treason.

Second, that Palestinians do not hesitate to designate their own women as prostitutes and traitors for engaging in the most basic activities with Jews. Such disrespect for women is not, by the way, something that should surprise us about conservative Arab and Islamic societies.

Third, that for many Palestinians, the priority remains making peace with Hamas and not Israel. Why do they prefer peace with Hamas? Because they identify with Hamas’s dream of destroying Israel and killing Jews. It may be an unpleasant a truth, but that is the bottom line. (Click to Site)

ISRAEL MUST BE READY TO TACKLE IRAN ON ITS OWN

Security cabinet meets day after Tehran tests ballistic missile

netanyahu-un

Israel must ask the international community to stop Iran’s nuclearization but prepare to do the task on its own in case the world fails, Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett said in an interview with The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.

Bennett, who is a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security cabinet, spoke before a meeting of the forum, in which the prime minister reported about his meetings with US President Donald Trump and other world leaders and his progress on the Iranian issue. The meeting was held a day after Iran tested a ballistic missile capable of reaching Israel, as security cabinet members backed Netanyahu’s call at the UN last week to either scrap or change the nuclear deal with Iran.

“On the one hand, we need to persuade the US to apply paralyzing sanctions of the highest level as soon as possible,” Bennett said. “Iran must be forced to choose between the nuclear path and a prosperous economy. Since the Iran deal, they haven’t been presented that option. At the same time, Israel must prepare for the possibility that the US and the world won’t be convinced by getting ready to defend ourselves by ourselves.”

Bennett said that Israel must act on both tracks as if the other did not exist. On the sanctions track, he suggested removing Iran from the world-wide Swift banking system, which was done before at the peak of international sanctions on the Islamic Republic. He said companies around the world would then have to choose between doing business with Iran or the US.

But, he added, Israel must act under the assumption that the international community will not provide successful solutions to stop Iran’s nuclearization.

He did not elaborate on what Israel should do to prepare itself militarily, preferring to leave such advice to closed forums like the security cabinet.
Regarding Netanyahu’s decision not to strike Iranian nuclear sites in 2011, when such a step was considered, Bennett said: “I have been in the government since 2013.

Whatever has been missed has been missed and we have to look forward and defend ourselves by ourselves.”

“We are all on a conveyor belt that leads to a cliff,” he warned. “The world’s nuclear deal gave Iran the ability to develop everything necessary for rapid breakaway to nuclearization.

It allowed Iran to develop faster centrifuges and improve its technology. There is a false sense of security now because the breakaway has been postponed by the deal, but they’re using the deal to race toward a bomb.”

Regarding Iranian moves into Syria, Bennett said Israel would not tolerate Iran building a corridor from Tehran to Israel’s borders and the Mediterranean Sea. He said that development would change the balance of power and endanger Israel.

“We won’t allow that to happen, and we will speak by actions, not by words,” he said. “The only thing that works in the Middle East is action.”

Bennett also issued a warning to Lebanon, based on his experience as a commander in the Second Lebanon War and his years in commando units inside the territory of Israel’s northern neighbor.

“There is no way to differentiate between Hezbollah and Lebanon, and sending soldiers to that impossible task is sending them to fail,” he said. “We need a new strategy.

If they are shooting rockets on Israeli cities, we will use full force on the Lebanese government and infrastructure.

Shooting rockets from Lebanon to Israel is a declaration of war on Israel. This is a different strategy than what was used in the Second Lebanon War, and it’s what I’m promoting now.”

Transportation and Intelligence Minister Israel Katz, who is also a member of the security cabinet, said there was now a “historic opportunity” to “remove the Iranian threat from Israel.”

Katz’s comments came as a result of a tweet posted by Trump which said: “Iran just test-fired a ballistic missile capable of reaching Israel.

They are also working with North Korea. Not much of an agreement we have.”

Katz said Israel needed to work with the US to bring about a change in the 2015 nuclear agreement in order to ensure that Iran does not attain nuclear capability.

“Either cancel the agreement or return to sanctions,” he said.

In addition, he said, Israel needs to work with the US to thwart Iran’s missile program, prevent an Iranian military presence in Syria, stop Iranian assistance to Hezbollah and get America to formally recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

No details of the security cabinet meeting – which was also expected to include a briefing by Netanyahu about his meetings last week in New York with Trump and with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi – were made public.

Netanyahu has not yet publicly reacted to the newest Iranian ballistic test. However, at the UN last week he said in regard to Iran that “those who threaten us with annihilation put themselves in mortal peril.”

As long as Iran seeks Israel’s destruction, he added, “Iran will face no fiercer enemy than Israel.” (Click to Site)

SABOTEURS PART 17: On The Second Coming Of Osiris/Apollo And The Science Of Resurrection

O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!

Sing to the Lord, bless (affectionately praise) His name; show forth His salvation from day to day.

Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples.

For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be reverently feared and worshiped above all [so-called] gods.

For all the gods of the nations are [lifeless] idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Ascribe to the Lord, O you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come [before Him] into His courts.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him, all the earth.

Say among the nations that the Lord reigns; the world also is established, so that it cannot be moved; He shall judge and rule the people righteously and with justice.

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all the things which fill it;

Let the field be exultant, and all that is in it! Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy

Before the Lord, for He comes, for He comes to judge and govern the earth! He shall judge the world with righteousness and justice and the peoples with His faithfulness and truth.  (Psalm 96:1-13) Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation

You may have read where a 45-foot tall nude sculpture of a woman that was first sent to the Burning Man occult festival (to be ‘energized’ with demonic power) has been approved to stand near the shaft of Osiris (Washington Monument) directly facing the White House. Organizers are trying to raise funds to transport the R-Evolution sculpture from San Francisco to Washington and have already gotten approval from the National Park Service to have the seductive idol on the grounds of the National Mall according to MSN. Readers of this online series and of the upcoming book Saboteurs will understand the high level of occultism this entity intends to “arouse” between the largest obelisk of its kind in the world for impregnating the belly of Isis (aka the US Capital Dome) with the second coming of Apollo-Osiris.

We ended the last entry saying “The legendary ritual for reincarnating Osiris (which, as we have discussed, is the ritual performed by Freemasons at each Master Mason ceremony) formed the core of Egyptian cosmology and was fantastically venerated on the most imposing scale throughout all of Egypt by towering obelisks (representing the phallus of Osiris) and domes (representing the pregnant belly of Isis) including at Karnak where the upright obelisks were “vitalized” or “stimulated” from the energy of the masturbatory sun-god Ra (mentioned prior) shining down upon them.”

There is historical evidence that this elaborate myth and its rituals may have been based originally on real characters and events. It is noteworthy that in 1998, former secretary general of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, Zahi Hawass, claimed to have found the burial tomb of the god Osiris (Apollo/Nimrod) at the Giza Plateau. In the article, “Sandpit of Royalty,” from the newspaper Extra Bladet (Copenhagen), January 31, 1999, Hawass was quoted saying:

I have found a shaft, going twenty-nine meters vertically down into the ground, exactly halfway between the Chefren Pyramid and the Sphinx. At the bottom, which was filled with water, we have found a burial chamber with four pillars. In the middle is a large granite sarcophagus, which I expect to be the grave of Osiris, the god.… I have been digging in Egypt’s sand for more than thirty years, and up to date this is the most exciting discovery I have made.… We found the shaft in November and began pumping up the water recently. So several years will pass before we have finished investigating the find.[i]

As far as we know, this discovery did not ultimately provide the physical remains of the deified person. But what it did illustrate is that at least some very powerful Egyptologists believe Osiris was a historical figure, and that his body was stored somewhere at or near the Great Pyramid. Manly P. Hall, who knew that the Masonic legend of Hiram Abiff was a thinly veiled prophecy of the resurrection of Osiris, may have understood what Zahi Hawass was looking for, and why. Consider that he wrote in The Secret Teachings of All Ages: “The Dying God [Osiris] shall rise again! The secret room in the House of the Hidden Places shall be rediscovered. The Pyramid again shall stand as the ideal emblem of…resurrection, and regeneration.”[ii]

Some ancient Egyptian cultures held their own reenactments of the Osiris/Isis reincarnation ritual, in which the spirit of Osiris would be “raised” into a newly reigning pharaoh. When this occurred, theocratic statesmanship and the ultimate political authority was given to that leader. (This is later reflected in the political and religious doctrine of royal and political legitimacy or “the divine right of kings,” who supposedly derived their right to rule from the will of God, with the exception of, in some countries, the king is subject to the Church and the pope.) The insinuation of this rite, among other meanings, was that the pharaoh’s authority was as the son of the sun god, Ra, and as the incarnation of the falcon-headed and all-seeing god Horus until the pharaoh’s death—whereupon he would become Osiris, the divine judge over the underworld. The pharaoh’s son and predecessor on earth, then, became the newly anointed manifestation of Horus. Within this worldview, every generation of pharaohs would supply their gods with a human spokesperson who carried out their will, as well as ensuring that the earthly leadership would be divinely appointed at all times.

Yet the observant reader may wonder, “Was there something more to the pharaoh’s deification than faith in ritual magic?” The cult center of Amun-Ra at Thebes may hold the answer, as it was the site of the largest religious structure ever built—the temple of Amun-Ra at Karnak—and the location of many extraordinary mysterious rites.

As I’ve written before, the great temple, with its one hundred miles of walls and gardens, was the place where each pharaoh reconciled his divinity in the company of Amun-Ra during the festival of Opet. The festival was held at the temple of Luxor and included a procession of gods carried on barges up the Nile River from Karnak to the temple. The royal family accompanied the gods on boats while the Egyptian laity walked along the shore, calling aloud and making requests of the gods. Once at Luxor, the pharaoh and his entourage entered the holy of holies, where the ceremony to raise the spirit of Osiris into the king was performed and pharaoh was transmogrified into a living deity (a repeat coronation, so to speak). Outside, large groups of dancers and musicians waited anxiously. When the king emerged as the “born-again” Osiris, the crowd erupted in gaiety. From that day forward, the pharaoh was considered to be the son and spiritual incarnation of the Supreme Deity. (The all-seeing eye of Horus/Apollo/Osiris above the unfinished pyramid on the Great Seal represents this event.)

Modern people, especially in America, may view the symbols used in this magic—the dome representing the habitually pregnant belly of Isis, and the obelisk, representing the erect phallus of Osiris—as profane or pornographic. But they were in fact ritualized fertility objects, which the ancients believed could produce tangible reactions, properties, or “manifestations” within the material world. The obelisk and dome as imitations of the deities’ male and female reproductive organs could, through government representation, invoke into existence the being or beings symbolized by them. This is why, inside the temple or dome, temple prostitutes representing the human manifestation of the goddess were also available for ritual sex as a form of imitative magic. These prostitutes usually began their services to the goddess as children, and were deflowered at a very young age by a priest or, like Isis’ choice piece, by a modeled obelisk of Osiris’ phallus. Sometimes these prostitutes were chosen, on the basis of their beauty, as the sexual mates of sacred temple bulls that were considered the incarnation of Osiris. In other places, such as at Mendes, temple prostitutes were offered in coitus to divine goats. Through such imitative sex, the dome and obelisk became “energy receivers,” capable of assimilating Ra’s essence from the rays of the sun, which in turn drew forth the “seed” of the underworld Osiris. The seed of the dead deity would, according to the supernaturalism, transmit upward (through the portal) from out of the underworld through the base (testes) of the obelisk and magically emit from the tower’s head into the womb (dome) of Isis, where incarnation into the sitting pharaoh/king/president would occur (during what Freemasons also call the raising of Osiris ceremony). In this way, Osiris could be habitually “born again” or reincarnated as Horus and constantly direct the spiritual destiny of the nation.

This metaphysical phenomenon, which originated with Nimrod/Semiramis and was central to numerous other ancient cultures, was especially developed in Egypt, where Nimrod/Semiramis were known as Osiris/Isis (and in Ezekiel chapter 8 the children of Israel set up the obelisk [“image of jealousy,” verse 5] facing the entry of their Temple—just as the dome faces the obelisk in Washington, DC, and in the Vatican City—and were condemned by God for worshipping the Sun [Ra] while weeping for Osiris [Tammuz]). The familiar Masonic figure of the point within a circle is the symbol of this union between Ra, Osiris, and Isis. The “point” represents Osiris’ phallus in the center of the circle or womb of Isis, which in turn is enlivened by the sun rays from Ra—just as is represented today at the Vatican, where the Egyptian obelisk of Osiris sits within a circle, and in Washington, DC, where the obelisk sits within the eclipse/lens flare oval—situated so as to be the first thing the sun (Ra) strikes as it rises over the capital city and which, when viewed from overhead, forms the magical point within a circle known as a circumpunct. The sorcery is further amplified, according to ancient occultic beliefs, by the presence of the Reflecting Pool in DC, which serves as a mirror to Heaven and “transferring point” for spirits and energies.

You may have read where a 45-foot tall nude sculpture of a woman that was first sent to the Burning Man occult festival (to be ‘energized’ with demonic power) has been approved to stand near the shaft of Osiris (Washington Monument) directly facing the White House. Organizers are trying to raise funds to transport the R-Evolution sculpture from San Francisco to Washington and have already gotten approval from the National Park Service to have the seductive idol on the grounds of the National Mallaccording to MSN.

Revelation 12 Fulfilled: The Midnight Cry

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first.

Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!

Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words.

Of course…

Oh, how blind.

It was obvious… a long time in coming… yet we didn’t see it.

September 23, the end of the world — that’s how the press ran it. That was the headline—and a poor one, I might add. To be fair, even those of us who didn’t think it would be an ultimate end to this world, we at least thought it a fitting date for the rapture of the Church. Imagine it… on the evening finale of Yom Teruah, the Revelation 12 sign paints the sky of Jerusalem with the birth of the Body of Christ into heaven, and then, at the same time, at the last sounding of the shofar to end the new moon festival, the Lord Himself descends with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet call of God… (1 Thess. 4:16) The rites, observances, sacraments, and symbols of the festival all seemed to be a perfect shadow of the rapture.

But here was the flaw: Yom Teruah never typified anything more than a warning of coming judgment, not the judgment itself. We know that judgment begins with the Church (1 Pet. 4:17); if anything, we should’ve considered the next festival, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the Jews’ holiest day of the year, a sombre day foreshadowing the ultimate judgment of souls. Yom Teruah is more of a wake-up call. It’s emphasis on the shofar—the only festival in which the shofar is to be blown—is supposed to stir people from their spiritual slumber, as with the awakening blast of the shofar—hence Yom Teruah, the Day of the Awakening Blast. It begins at the start of the month when the 10 Days of Awe begin, a time of critical repentance leading up to Yom Kippur. Yom Teruah and its distinguishing trumpet blasts act as the great shout of warning that your judgment day approaches, that is, in the sense of a rehearsal, foreshadowing what will one day take place during this exact time period in some future year. Each year, the drama is rehearsed by way of these festivals; one day, however, it will not be a rehearsal.

Jesus died on the Feast of Passover. He was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread. He was resurrected on the Feast of First Fruits. The Holy Spirit conceived in the Church on the Feast of Pentecost. 1, 2, 3, 4… The spring festivals were all fulfilled in order! And now, festival #5, Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets… It has to be! It has to be fulfilled! It makes so much sense! The next event is the rapture of the Church, and the next festival to be fulfilled in sequence is Yom Teruah! And the great sign of Revelation 12 was marking its final day with the Sun in Virgo, the Moon beneath her feet, the 9 stars of Leo joined by Mercury, Venus, and Mars, Jupiter birthed from between Virgo’s legs after retrograding for 9 months inside her womb… It’s too perfect.

It can’t be nothing. It just can’t.

As I write to you now on September 26, now that we no longer have to speculate about what would become of the ominous September 23, let’s scrutinize what did happen that day. No rapture, no unscheduled eclipse… No anything? Nothing at all?

Ah, but not so.

As I said, how very blind we were.

The purpose of Yom Teruah is to blow the trumpet of alarm, the awakening blast of the shofar that stirs us from our spiritual slumber. It’s a preparation, a warning. That’s the chief purpose of its institution. And what did we see on this festival? The grandest celestial sign illustrated in all the pages of Holy Writ, the enigma of all enigmas, the great prophetic dance of the sun, moon and stars that has confounded its students since John first wrote it in 96 AD. On Yom Teruah, we saw Revelation 12 fulfilled. We saw what Jesus prophesied when He said, “At that time shall appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man…” (Matt. 24:30)

We saw the great sign heralding the coming of Christ to gather His Church, and we saw it on a festival chiefly symbolizing a cry of awakening.

The 5th festival has just been fulfilled. After the first 4 were fulfilled in chronological order 2,000 years ago, the Feast of Trumpets, #5, has finally been fulfilled—and perfectly in sequence with the rest.

My God… I don’t even know what to say.

I walked with my dad along the sea after dark, watching the sharp crescent moon fall on the horizon as the Revelation 12 sign was finally, slowly drifting apart. I thought of that famous first verse of Revelation 12, “A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” That great mystery of the ages… and there we were, watching the very moon envisioned by John when he wrote that verse. There have been many crescent moons like it, but this was the one, the very one, immortalized in Scripture. And then, it plunged into the silhouette baseboards of the horizon and vanished forever. It would never be seen again, seen only by the Apostle John in vision 2 millennia ago, and by those of us blessed enough to be alive and awake in the year 2017.

Thank-you, Lord.

Something profound began to dawn. Yes, we all know the sun, moon, and stars were made “for signs and for seasons” (Gen. 1:14). So what was this telling us? This sign involved each the sun and the moon and the stars in a major prophetic fulfillment that would’ve had any sensible eschatologian dizzily reaching for a sofa to pass out on. The message is clear. Jesus is coming now. He’s coming to get His 5 wise virgins, His patiently, eagerly, beautifully waiting Bride. The rapture of the Church.

It’s easy to see once you identify the “male child” in Revelation 12 with the Body of Christ, not just Christ alone, seeing all the characters in the sign as corporate entities; all you need to do is examine the male child’s role “to rule all the nations with a rod of iron” (Rev. 12:6) and compare that with Jesus’ promise to His Church: “The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father.” (Rev. 2:27) Now, seeing the male child as the Church, we find the Revelation 12 sign depicting its rapture into heaven — “…her child was caught up to God and to his throne…” (Rev. 12:5) — and that’s prior to the dragon’s pursuit of the woman, proving the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church. That child that’s “caught up to God and to his throne” is the same group described in Revelation 7, the fully redeemed Church — “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Rev. 7:9-10) Remember, that’s prior to the 7th seal, the 7 trumpet judgments, and the 7 bowls of wrath—and definitely not after the final Battle of Armageddon.

preg_web_final

It circulated the world. It made headlines. Everyone knows about it. The rumours reached the ears of every church, addressed by almost every pastor I know of. The sign became the subject of a documentary for DIRECTV called The Sign. God made sure the alarm was heard by all. Loud and clear. On Yom Teruah, the great shout of warning signified by its emblematic shofars was an official heavenly announcement of the coming rapture. It was like a loud message: “Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!”

… Ring a bell?

The midnight cry.

MATTHEW 25:1-12 — “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

I believe this prophecy is taking place right now, and is about to be fulfilled.

“…at midnight there was a cry…” — The Greek word for “cry” used in this parable is “kraugé“, meaning a shout.

Yom Teruah—the Hebrew word teruah literally means a loud shout, or cry. It is the Day of Shouting, the Day of the Cry, referring to the awakening blast of the shofar stirring its hearers to repentance in light of coming judgment.

And is this not exactly what the midnight cry in the parable is for, to awaken the 10 slumberous virgins to the bridegroom’s imminent arrival — “Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!”

The Revelation 12 sign illustrating the rapture of the Church and the subsequent great tribulation of the Jews appeared precisely on Yom Teruah, the Day of the Awakening Blast, a blaring call to repentance in the form of an ancient festival. That was the midnight cry. The shout in that parable was meant for us, now, at this exact point in time and history. This is for us: “Here is the bridegroom! Go out to meet him!”

Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.

2015-02-21-lampanimation

It was no mere astronomical sign. September 23 was not just a festival. It was an encrypted message intended only for those who perceive by the Spirit. The true words silently shouted through this celestial wonder were those written in the parable of the 10 virgins. That means that the lamps of those 5 foolish virgins who didn’t bring oil are about to go out. We’re going to see a divide amongst professing Christians, some continuing to burn bright in faith and godliness, and some dimming in doubt and scoffing. Those destined to fall away will fall away — “Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.”

Could we really be receiving advance warning from God that the rapture is soon to take place, our glorious transfiguration, our grand assembly with Christ in the air, our entrance into the wedding banquet from amidst this dark night on earth?

It isn’t inconceivable that God would give us some forewarning. In fact, God has a pattern of giving His people advance warning shortly before an event takes place. “For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matt. 24:37) God will deal with us the same way He dealt with Noah. And how did God deal with Noah?

GENESIS 7:1, 4, 10 — “Then the Lord said to Noah, ‘Go into the ark, you and all your household… For in seven days I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights…’ And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.”

God gave Noah 7 days of advance notice.

I don’t mean to be spooky, but Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is exactly 7 days after the Revelation 12 sign—September 23 – 30.

I wonder—and I’m only speculating—if God is repeating the Noahic pattern. Jesus told us that the days of His revealing would be just like the time of Noah. If the midnight cry went out on Yom Teruah (September 23), it’s very likely that the Church—those who hear the midnight cry—is being given the same 7-day warning before a Yom Kippur rapture.

Oddly enough, this theory begins to make more and more sense.

According to Leviticus 25, if it’s a jubilee year (every 50th year), the “religious year” is supposed to begin on the 10thday of the 7th month, instead of the 1st day.

LEVITICUS 25:8-10 — “You shall count seven weeks of years, seven times seven years, so that the time of the seven weeks of years shall give you forty-nine years. Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his clan.”

That means that the jubilee year would begin on Yom Kippur; and whereas a shofar is only blown on Yom Teruah, in the case of a jubilee year, a shofar will also be blown on Yom Kippur. This would mean that the “last trumpet” of the year is not blown on the Feast of Trumpets, but on the Day of Atonement — “Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.” (1 Cor. 15:52)

This might finally make sense of that riddle of the “last trumpet”. This is a rare occasion. This only happens every 50th year. The question is: are we about to begin a jubilee year?

The exact jubilee count has been long lost over the last 2,000 years. However, there are certain historical events surrounding Israel that seem to indicate that God has been preserving the jubilee cycle, even if the Jews stopped keeping track. Imagine that this is a jubilee year, 2017. 50 years ago, in 1967, the Jews regained Jerusalem in the Six-Day War, God’s chosen race back in their Holy City after its destruction in 70 AD. 50 years before that, is 1917, when the British government after World War I announced their support for a Jewish national home in Palestine with the Balfour Declaration, the statement that led to the restitution of national Israel 30 years later, the Jews back in their God-given land after being exiled for nearly 2 millennia.

These events all seem to indicate a 50-year cycle which may, in fact, be the jubilee cycle, upheld by God’s divine providence. Strangely, the dates all seem to fall on 7’s, God’s sacred number of divine completion—1917, 1967, and perhaps 2017.

Here’s another 7…

1217 is the year a man died, Judah ben Samuel of Regensburg, a rabbi and mystic of the Chassidei Ashkenaz with a fervour for the Messiah’s coming. He claimed that something had been revealed to him by the Prophet Elijah. On the same year of his death, he made a curious prophecy:

When the Ottomans conquer Jerusalem they will rule over Jerusalem for eight jubilees. Afterwards Jerusalem will become no-man’s land for one jubilee, and then in the ninth jubilee it will once again come back into the possession of the Jewish nation – which would signify the beginning of the Messianic end time.

300 years (exactly 6 jubilees) after Rabbi ben Samuel’s death, the Turks conquered Jerusalem and ruled over Jerusalem for precisely 8 jubilees. The Ottoman conquest began in 1517, and the Land was divided into four districts and attached administratively to the province of Damascus and ruled from Istanbul. 400 years later (8 jubilees), in 1917, the British conquered the Turks and the League of Nations took the Mandate for the Holy Land to the British, making Jerusalem a “no-man’s land” under international law until 1967, 50 years later. When Israel took back Jerusalem in 1967, ben Samuel’s prophecy seems to have reached a fulfillment. According to his prophecy, the “Messianic end time” begins in that final jubilee period (1967-2017)—perhaps indicating that the Messiah would appear at the end of that cycle, 2017.

It’s compelling, but not definitely trustworthy. I do, however, find all the 7’s fitting nicely with these supposed jubilee years—ben Samuel’s prophecy and death in 1217, the Ottoman conquest and supposed start of jubilee cycle in 1517, the Ottoman rule in Jerusalem overthrown and the Balfour Declaration established in 1917, the Six-Day War recapturing of Jerusalem in 1967. Those are all apparently jubilee years, and it makes perfect sense in accord with what we know to be true historical events ushering in the rebirth of the nation of Israel, and thus the end times. 2017 would therefore also be a jubilee year.

Consider the year 1517: although this is the year the Turks began their conquest on Jerusalem, it was also the year that Luther exhibited his Ninety-Five Theses in Wittenberg on October 31 and began the Protestant Reformation, a sort of jubilee liberation of the Christian world enslaved by Roman darkness — “You shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants.” (Lev. 25:11) It seems that God has been considering Christians in the preservation of His jubilee cycle after all; in fact, the Church looks to be the main focus of it.

10b3571b1f902b6270d1b38fe8f22611

Assuming there is actually something to all of these numerical, historical patterns, and speculating that God may still be preserving the jubilee count, Leviticus 25 tells us that the jubilee year should begin on the Day of Atonement this year—Tishri 10 instead of Tishri 1—and that a shofar is to be blown on that day. Just to reiterate, that means that, in this special instance, the “last trumpet” of the year is not going to be blown on Yom Teruah, but Yom Kippur. It also happens that Yom Kippur falls on a Sabbath this year, which is not always the case. Yom Kippur itself is known as the “Sabbath of Sabbaths”, and this year, it’s on a Sabbath—and so was Yom Teruah.

HEBREWS 4:1-11 — “Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, ‘So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: ‘On the seventh day God rested from all his works.’ And again in the passage above he says, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience, God again set a certain day, calling it ‘Today.’ This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: ‘Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.’ For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.”

Sabbath, the day of rest. Only Christians, through a saving faith in the finished works of Jesus Christ, rest from the law of justification by works. It would be fitting, then, for the rapture of the Church to occur on a Sabbath, especially if it’s also Yom Kippur, the “Sabbath of Sabbaths”…

… And what would make the Jews more jealous for their God than to actually witness on their holiest Holy Day the gentiles obtaining salvation? The Apostle Paul makes clear that stirring the Jews to jealousy is exactly God’s plan to bring about their final awakening to Yeshua HaMashiach, their true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

ROMANS 11:11-15 — “So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean! Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them. For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?”

Envision this: 7 days after the midnight cry is heard with the Revelation 12 sign fulfilling the Feast of Trumpets, a rapture of the Church takes place on the Day of Atonement—just as Noah was given 7 days advance warning before the Flood… Is that how it’s going to happen? It’s hard to be certain about anything, but there’s a lot of signs pointing to it. Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, certainly would make a perfect memorial for the Church considering that the whole identity of the Church is in the atonement Christ made for it by the sacrificial shedding of His own blood.

Whether or not Yom Kippur this year brings the ultimate consummation of the Church, I think that the coming days are going to be very exciting—if we faithfully continue watching, staying alert, and do not recede into worldliness. Many, I fear, will fulfill this prophecy:

LUKE 12:45-46 — “But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, the master of THAT servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful.”

I believe the midnight cry has gone out on September 23, Revelation 12 fulfilled, the sign of the Son of Man in heaven.

Grace, peace, and blessings to all of you eager and vigilant believers. Let’s continue in faithfulness, maturity, hope, and use whatever time remains to continue feeding the flock. These last days are going to be a very divisive time within the Body, to separate light from darkness, wheat from weeds. Already, many false brothers are revealing themselves in gracelessness and immaturity, abandoning hope so easily. Encourage one another.

After September 23 came and went, after every prediction and hope of a rapture came to nothing, a sharp dividing sword came down amongst those waiting for the Bridegroom. That was almost more of a sign than the stars painting the night with Revelation 12 — “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, ‘Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” (2 Pet. 3:3-4)

It’s not the last days without 5 foolish virgins.

To all mockers, scoffers, don’t be so quick to speak in this auspicious time. Consider the role you’re playing in this retold story of Noah and Lot, and ask yourself who you would’ve been in their time, the faithful or the scoffer — “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man.” (Luke 17:26-27)
