President Donald Trump on Thursday signed and ratified the Board of Peace Charter, officially establishing the Board of Peace as a new international organization and marking one of the most consequential diplomatic moves of his presidency.
The signing ceremony took place at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where representatives from nearly twenty nations joined Trump on stage as the charter was passed down the line and signed.
“Congratulations President Trump, the charter is now in full force, and the Board of Peace is now an official international organization,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt declared at the ceremony.

At the time of the signing, 17–19 nations were formally represented, including:
Belarus, Morocco, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Kosovo, Pakistan, Paraguay, Albania, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Qatar, and Indonesia.
Administration officials say 25–30 countries have already confirmed participation, with some estimates placing total commitments as high as 35 nations, depending on final ratifications still in process.
“This is the greatest board ever assembled, and everybody wants to be on it,” Trump told reporters Wednesday. “I don’t know of anybody that hasn’t accepted.”
Who Joined — and Who Didn’t

Trump stated earlier that Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to join the Board. However, comments carried by TASS later clarified that the Kremlin is still reviewing the invitation.
Meanwhile, Pope Leo XIV has also received an invitation. The Vatican confirmed receipt but said the Holy See requires time to consider participation.
Their decisions could significantly shape the Board’s legitimacy and influence.
