California Governor Gavin Newsom was blocked from entering USA House at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday, after delivering a bizarre and profane tirade against President Donald Trump just one day earlier.
Newsom’s scheduled appearance was abruptly canceled at the eleventh hour — an embarrassment compounded by the fact that USA House has been officially recognized for the first time as the United States’ government-backed venue at Davos.
The optics were brutal: a sitting U.S. governor locked out of America’s own house on the world stage.
