Former Vice President Kamala Harris ignited a political firestorm Saturday after denouncing President Donald Trump’s capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro as “unlawful and unwise,” a claim that immediately backfired as X users, lawmakers, and legal experts exposed the glaring contradictions in her position and the Biden-Harris administration’s own record on Venezuela.
Harris released a lengthy post on X arguing that Trump’s operation made America “less safe,” accusing him of lying to Americans, risking U.S. troops, destabilizing the region, and pursuing “regime change for oil.”
