New York Attorney General Letitia “Tish” James — the same prosecutor who built her political career on weaponizing the legal system against Donald J. Trump — now finds herself under mounting scrutiny for a long trail of alleged criminal activity stretching back decades.
In a stunning revelation on Newsmax’s Greg Kelly Reports, investigative journalist and filmmaker Joel Gilbert, a contributor to The Gateway Pundit, detailed explosive evidence of what he calls a “pattern of mortgage fraud” dating back to 1983, when James was just 24 years old. According to Gilbert, this is not a one-off mistake — it is a multi-decade scheme involving multiple properties, false statements, and even potential misuse of government-backed mortgage programs.
A Pattern of Fraud From the Start
Gilbert described evidence indicating that in her first property purchase, James allegedly falsified documents — bizarrely claiming she had “married her father” to qualify for a mortgage. He told Kelly that this was only the beginning of a consistent trail of deception: “It’s a pattern of mortgage fraud. She can’t claim that she didn’t have intent, or that she didn’t know the law, because she’s been suing people in New York for these very same things.”
The hypocrisy, Gilbert emphasized, is staggering. While James spent years prosecuting minor paperwork discrepancies in private business filings as “serious crimes,” she was allegedly falsifying her own loan applications to secure lower rates, smaller down payments, and taxpayer-subsidized benefits.
Government-Backed Lies
According to Gilbert’s investigation, James even misused federal mortgage assistance under the Obama-era TARP/HAMP program in 2011. To obtain a government loan, she allegedly claimed “financial hardship” while making roughly $14,000 per month — and misrepresented the number of rental units she owned to secure better terms.
“She told the U.S. government to get rid of her 10% private bank loan and replace it with a 2.7% taxpayer-funded loan,” Gilbert said. “It’s too long, too many years, too much of a pattern. I don’t think she gets out of it in any way.”
Gilbert added that superseding indictments are expected involving properties in Virginia and Brooklyn, potentially exposing James to a sweeping criminal case — one that could result in disbarment, plea bargains, or even incarceration.
Karma Comes Full Circle
For years, Letitia James has been the face of the politically motivated lawfare campaign against President Donald Trump — pursuing him with obsessive zeal, despite widespread criticism that her civil fraud case was built on inflated valuations and partisan animus rather than evidence. Now, the same standard she used against others is coming back to haunt her.
Greg Kelly summarized the irony perfectly: “After all, she went after Trump with that stupid, totally disingenuous, totally bogus case. It was beyond ridiculous.”
The Deep State Cannibalizes Its Own
This unfolding scandal may also expose deeper rot within New York’s political establishment. The same legal networks that protected James as she waged lawfare against conservatives are now fracturing. If Gilbert’s evidence triggers federal indictments, it could open a much wider investigation into corruption within New York’s justice apparatus — an institution long accused of shielding Democratic power players while targeting political enemies.
Letitia James has publicly claimed she’s the victim of “weaponization” — accusing Trump of turning the system against her. But as Gilbert noted, this defense rings hollow. “She’s been doing this to others for decades,” he said. “The pattern is undeniable.”
A Prophetic Reckoning in Justice
This moment feels bigger than politics. For years, the justice system has been twisted into a tool of oppression — a cudgel used against those who resist globalist or establishment control. But as Scripture teaches, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23).
The exposure of Letitia James may be a harbinger — a sign that the scales of justice, long tipped toward corruption, are finally being rebalanced. The powerful are being brought low, and those who weaponized the law may soon find themselves crushed beneath it.
As Gilbert put it, “I don’t think she’s going to last very long.” The house of cards is shaking — and it’s only a matter of time before it collapses completely.
