In a chilling revelation that underscores the growing threat to America’s law enforcement community, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem told Fox & Friends that cartel members, terrorist organizations, and criminal gangs have placed cash bounties on specific U.S. law enforcement officers. The intelligence is clear: America’s enemies are not only invading the border — they are actively targeting those sworn to defend it.
“They Are Organized, They Are Planning Ambushes”
Speaking bluntly about the danger, Noem said the Department of Homeland Security has received detailed intelligence confirming that organized criminal networks are coordinating attacks on federal officers. “Intelligence indicates that these people are organized,” she said. “They are getting more and more people on their team as far as attacking officers and they are making plans to ambush them and to kill them.”
Noem revealed that these groups have circulated the photos of specific officers, offering $2,000 for their kidnapping and $10,000 for their assassination. “They’ve released their pictures. They’ve sent them between their networks and it’s an extremely dangerous situation and unprecedented,” she warned.
To protect those under threat, DHS has reportedly adjusted its field operations and assigned protective details to the officers most at risk. “We’ve put protective detail around those individuals, changed some of our operations to keep our officers safe,” Noem explained.
This Isn’t About Protests — It’s a War on Law Enforcement
Noem made it clear that the current wave of violence across the nation is not about free speech or peaceful protest, but about outright warfare on America’s defenders. “This isn’t just about protesting or that they don’t like that people out here are upholding the law of our country,” she said. “They are actually going out there and saying, kill these people and we will give you this much money to do it.”
The DHS Secretary described a reality where cartels, foreign terrorist cells, and domestic anarchist groups are coordinating efforts — a hybrid threat that blurs the line between organized crime and ideological extremism. “These violent riots are not about free speech. This is the rule of law versus anarchy,” Noem declared. “We will win.”
Border Agents Under Siege — and Still Standing Strong
Beyond the death threats, Noem said that ICE and Border Patrol officers are facing everyday discrimination and mistreatment. “They don’t even let our ICE officers and our Border Patrol officers use restrooms in facilities,” she said. “Those men and women were telling us that they have to figure out even where they can go sit down for five minutes to have lunch or to use a restroom.”
Despite the hostility, Noem said the morale of these officers remains remarkably strong. “They love their jobs. They are so excited that they get to go out there and serve our country,” she said. “They see normal, everyday people going to work who thank them.”

While the Trump administration has prioritized border security and law enforcement protection, the coordinated attacks on police and immigration officers reveal just how deeply embedded cartel and terror networks have become inside the U.S. The same open-border policies once advanced by globalist Democrats under Biden created a fertile ground for foreign criminal syndicates to expand their reach — and now they are openly hunting American officers on American soil.
This escalation of violence also exposes the failure of sanctuary city policies and the corruption of progressive district attorneys who have allowed gang and cartel operations to flourish unchecked.
