The political temperature in America just spiked again. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon has referred multiple threats against her to the U.S. Marshals Service, warning that intimidation from “woke idiots,” including individuals allegedly connected to California Governor Gavin Newsom, will not be tolerated. The threats come amid an intensifying clash between Dhillon’s Justice Department team and leftist activists furious over her crackdown on state-level election irregularities, DEI policies, and judicial bias.

“We Will Tolerate No Such Threats”
Dhillon took to X on Sunday night with a fiery post that left no doubt she was done playing defense:

“Threats against me are referred to the U.S. Marshals. There have been several tonight. We will tolerate no such threats by woke idiots, including those who work for Gavin Newsom. Govern yourselves accordingly. FAFO.”

The phrase “FAFO”—short for “Find Out”—underscored her no-nonsense message: those attempting to intimidate or threaten a senior DOJ official will face federal consequences.

Threats Coincide With Reckless Newsom Staffer Accusation
The timing of the threats coincided with an alarming insinuation from Izzy Gardon, Director of Communications for Governor Newsom. Gardon appeared to suggest Dhillon bore some responsibility for a devastating house fire that destroyed the beachfront home of South Carolina Judge Diane Goodstein and her husband, former State Senator Arnold Goostein, on Edisto Island. The blaze hospitalized three family members and is under investigation.

Gardon’s post came just weeks after Dhillon publicly criticized Judge Goodstein for blocking South Carolina’s Secretary of State from providing the DOJ with a full copy of the state’s voter database—an action Dhillon condemned as “obstruction of lawful federal oversight.”

Within hours, Dhillon’s deputy, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Jesus Osete, called out the insinuation directly on X:

“A staffer for the @CAgovernor has insinuated that @AAGDhillon is responsible for this tragic house fire. To conflate civil discourse and violent acts is reckless, shameful, and outright disgusting. Do better.”

The Department of Justice has not yet released further details regarding the threats or whether any arrests have been made, but insiders suggest the U.S. Marshals are now coordinating directly with federal cybercrime and threat-assessment units.

Political Retaliation and the Woke Intimidation Machine
Dhillon’s appointment to the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division under President Trump has made her a lightning rod for progressive outrage.
