Maduro Blames Washington’s ‘Oil Hunger’
Maduro denounced the U.S. buildup as a bid to control Venezuela’s vast oil, gas, and gold reserves. “They invent Hollywood stories about narco-trafficking to justify stealing our resources,” he claimed in a televised address. State media showed antiaircraft batteries and missile systems being repositioned around Caracas.
