The images flooding social media on October 4, 2025, show something both surreal and deeply revealing: a convoy of Egyptian-flagged bulldozers and construction trucks rolling through the Rafah crossing into Gaza — greeted by cheering crowds — as President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s government proudly announces plans to build new “humanitarian camps” for displaced Gazans. But here’s the catch: Egypt still refuses to let a single Gazan cross its border.

Camps for Gaza — But Not in Egypt
The footage, verified by independent sources, shows dozens of bulldozers and flatbed trucks entering Gaza. According to Cairo’s official statement, these are part of a “reconstruction and humanitarian initiative” to establish over eight internally displaced persons (IDP) camps. These camps, Egypt claims, will provide temporary shelter for tens of thousands of Palestinians displaced by ongoing Israeli airstrikes.

But while Egyptian bulldozers roll in, Egyptian border guards remain firm — no refugees are allowed out. This has been Cairo’s policy since the start of the war: aid may enter Gaza, but people cannot leave.

A “Humanitarian” Wall of Containment
El-Sisi’s government insists this policy protects Egypt’s national security and prevents “forced relocation” of Palestinians into the Sinai Peninsula — a move Egypt fears could create a permanent refugee crisis within its borders. “Egypt will never allow Sinai to become the alternative homeland for Palestinians,” El-Sisi declared last month.

But critics say the so-called humanitarian gesture is little more than containment. “Egypt is building open-air prisons under the guise of compassion,” said one regional analyst. “They’re making sure the Gazans stay inside Gaza, not helping them find safety.”

Cynical Strategy or Calculated Diplomacy?
Western diplomats see Egypt’s maneuver as a way to satisfy both Israel and the Arab League — appearing helpful on the humanitarian front while ensuring Cairo doesn’t become a refugee destination. It’s a strategy of optics: building camps inside Gaza pleases Washington and Brussels, while keeping the gates locked pleases Egyptian nationalists and military hardliners.

Meanwhile, Gazans remain trapped — fenced in by Israel’s siege on one side and Egypt’s blockade on the other.

Prophetic Parallels and Globalist Undercurrents
This strange contradiction — aid trucks rolling in while human beings are locked out — speaks volumes about the state of world leadership in these prophetic times. Governments are managing crises, not solving them. They are keeping populations penned in and dependent under the banner of “humanitarianism.”

The Bible warned that in the last days, nations would be complicit in the oppression of Israel’s neighbors and that false peace efforts would pave the way for global deception (Daniel 8:25, Zechariah 12). Egypt’s role in walling in Gaza while calling it mercy may be one more sign of that deceptive world order rising before our eyes.
