Geopolitical flashpoints are piling up, rumors of false flags are surfacing, and Western leaders are making moves that could tip the balance from brinkmanship to open war. The signs suggest something big could happen soon — and the implications are terrifying.

Russia Warns of a Ukrainian False Flag
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has issued one of the starkest warnings yet: if reports from Hungarian media about Kiev’s plans are true, Europe may be closer to the outbreak of World War III than at any time in modern history. Zakharova claims that Ukrainian authorities are preparing “their own version of the Gleiwitz incident” — a reference to the Nazi false flag attack that triggered the invasion of Poland in 1939 — in order to provoke direct NATO involvement against Russia.

On Tuesday, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) doubled down, alleging that a Ukrainian sabotage group plans to stage an attack in Poland while posing as Russian and Belarusian special forces. Moscow says the goal is to drag NATO countries into armed conflict with Russia. “Kiev expects to prompt European countries to respond to Russia as harshly as possible, preferably in a military manner,” the SVR warned. The Kremlin appears to be “naming and shaming” the plan in hopes of preventing it before it happens.

We Are ‘No Longer at Peace’
It’s not just Russia making grim statements. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz told a conference in Düsseldorf that “we are not at war, but we are no longer at peace either.” He accused Moscow of waging a “war against our democracy and our freedom” as it seeks to undermine EU unity. Such rhetoric signals how far Europe has shifted from the post-Cold War order. The “gray zone” between war and peace is vanishing.

Meanwhile, the U.S. is considering sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine — a step that would effectively mean direct U.S. or British personnel operating the weapons against Russia. Moscow would almost certainly view this as direct Western intervention. The risk of escalation into a major power conflict could not be clearer.

Kupiansk on the Brink
On the ground in Ukraine, Russian forces are advancing on Kupiansk, a critical city in the northeast. Local officials describe a collapsed infrastructure, constant aerial bombardment, and drone swarms that have made evacuation nearly impossible. If Kupiansk falls, a large section of the front could be enveloped, paving the way for a Russian push toward Kharkiv — a devastating blow to Kiev. Desperation breeds dangerous decisions, and the more precarious Ukraine’s position becomes, the more likely it is to gamble on something reckless.

The Middle East Flashpoint
As Europe edges toward a dangerous incident, the Middle East is once again at the boiling point. President Trump unveiled his 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza, which Israel has accepted. Hamas now has “three or four days” to agree or face what Trump called “a very sad end.” According to Reuters, Hamas believes the conditions are “impossible” and biased toward Israel. If the plan is rejected, Israel has vowed to “finish the job,” implying the total destruction of Hamas. Another flashpoint is emerging — one that could reshape the region overnight.

A Prophetic Convergence?
For years we’ve warned that global instability, elite desperation, and spiritual deception would converge in the last days. Now we are seeing it unfold in real time. Russia accuses Ukraine of plotting a false flag to drag NATO into war. NATO edges closer to direct involvement with Tomahawk missiles. Europe declares “we are no longer at peace.” And the Middle East teeters on the edge of another explosion. The “unexpected surprise” many of us have feared may be imminent.

We must pray for peace. But as prophecy watchers know, Scripture forewarns of wars, rumors of wars, and sudden destruction before the return of Christ. The stakes could not be higher.
