The world is racing toward a moment of monumental spiritual and geopolitical consequence. On September 23rd, the United Nations, representing 193 nations, will convene in New York for a conference aimed at advancing a Two-State Solution for Israel and Palestine. But this isn’t just politics—it coincides with the Feast of Trumpets, a day God set aside in the Hebrew calendar for solemn reflection and judgment.
The Global Push to Divide God’s Land
UN Secretary-General António Guterres declared:
“The only realistic, just, and sustainable solution is two States—Israel and Palestine—living side-by-side in peace and security on the basis of the pre-1967 lines, with Jerusalem as the capital of both.”
Meanwhile, Hussein al-Sheikh, Palestine’s deputy president, echoed the international consensus:
“This decision reflects the international will in realizing Palestine along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
To the untrained eye, these statements are diplomatic rhetoric. To those who read Scripture, however, the gathering is a chilling sign. Attempting to divide God’s eternal covenant land (Genesis 17:7) and wrest control of Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:1-3; Joel 3:1-3) is not mere politics—it is rebellion against the Almighty.
Prophetic Alarm Bells
The timing is striking. The UN’s push aligns with Rosh Hashanah’s Feast of Trumpets, a day in the Jewish calendar historically associated with warning, judgment, and the sounding of alarms. Prophets like Zechariah and Joel warned that Jerusalem’s division would ignite “a cup of trembling” and usher in catastrophic events leading to the Last Hour and the Time of Jacob’s Trouble.
Every global maneuver to impose a so-called “peace” plan on Jerusalem, particularly one that divides the city, brings humanity closer to sudden destruction (Luke 21:20-24). It is a reminder that God’s Word cannot be overruled by man’s politics, and every attempt to contravene His covenant carries eternal consequences.
The Stakes Are Eternal
This UN conference is far more than a diplomatic exercise—it is a prophetic flashpoint. World leaders may speak of coexistence, lines, and capitals, but God sees the heart of the matter. Dividing Jerusalem, a city He calls His own, is a signpost on the path to the Rapture and the Tribulation.
Believers are urged to pray, watch, and discern the times. The world may call it a “peace conference,” but for those who understand Scripture, it is a harbinger of the end times.

The countdown is on. The Feast of Trumpets will sound, the UN will meet, and the world inches closer to a prophetic crescendo.
