A new study led by vaccine researcher Nicolas Hulscher, MPH, is raising red flags about the long-term effects of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines. Hulscher, who has authored nearly 20 peer-reviewed papers on vaccine safety since 2023 and collaborates closely with Dr. Peter McCullough at the McCullough Foundation, has been investigating links between mRNA technology and serious health outcomes, including cancer, autism, and unexplained deaths.
A Rare Case Sparks Investigation
The study focuses on an otherwise healthy 30-year-old woman who developed stage 4 bladder cancer—a diagnosis extremely rare for someone her age. Notably, the patient had received three Moderna mRNA COVID-19 shots within the year prior to her diagnosis.
Hulscher’s team, working with John Catanzaro at Neo7 Bioscience, applied advanced molecular profiling techniques to the patient’s circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), fragments of genetic material shed by cancer cells into the bloodstream.
Shocking Genetic Discovery
What the researchers found was unexpected: DNA fragments from the vaccine manufacturing process—specifically leftover plasmid DNA present in the mRNA vials—had integrated into the patient’s own chromosomes.
“The most striking finding was a perfect 20 base pair match from the spike ORF region—the genetic code responsible for producing the spike protein—embedded in chromosome 19 of the tumor DNA,” Hulscher explained.
This discovery suggests that, in at least some rare cases, components of the mRNA vaccines may persist in the body long enough to become incorporated into human DNA—a phenomenon previously considered highly unlikely.
Implications for Vaccine Safety
While mRNA vaccines were initially hailed as a revolutionary technology, Hulscher’s findings raise serious questions about their long-term safety. Integration of foreign genetic material into human chromosomes could have unpredictable consequences, including the potential for malignancy or other cellular dysfunctions.
The study is part of a broader investigation into the safety profile of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, particularly focusing on rare but severe outcomes. Hulscher and his team are continuing their research to determine how widespread this integration might be and whether certain individuals are at higher risk.
A Call for Transparency and Caution
“This is a wake-up call for regulators and the public,” Hulscher said. “We need transparency about the full range of possible long-term effects of these vaccines. People have a right to know what is being injected into their bodies and what the potential risks might be.”
The findings will likely reignite debates over mRNA technology and its role in public health strategies. While millions have benefited from the vaccines in preventing severe COVID-19, rare events like these highlight the need for ongoing vigilance, detailed reporting, and independent research.
As investigations continue, Hulscher’s work serves as a reminder that science must follow the data wherever it leads—even if it challenges the prevailing narrative.
