The United Arab Emirates has issued a stern rebuke to Israel, warning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to “torpedo” the Abraham Accords after Israel’s rooftop strike on Hamas leaders in Doha sent shockwaves across the Gulf. The unprecedented hit inside Qatar — a US ally and Arab powerhouse — triggered a furious reaction from Gulf rulers, with Abu Dhabi summoning Israel’s ambassador and branding Netanyahu’s follow-up threat as “hostile.”
From Trade to Turmoil
The Abraham Accords, once hailed as President Donald Trump’s landmark diplomatic breakthrough, had unlocked billions in trade and technology deals between Israel and the Gulf. But now, the fragile peace looks like a house of cards caught in a desert sandstorm. Netanyahu’s demand that Qatar expel Hamas “or Israel will” poured fuel on the fire, further isolating Jerusalem diplomatically.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia, who once gambled on normalization, now find themselves under enormous internal pressure. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) of the UAE flew directly to Doha in a show of solidarity, standing shoulder to shoulder with Qatari leadership.
Doha Summit: A Turning Point
Qatar has convened an emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, co-sponsored by Pakistan and held under the umbrella of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The gathering — attended by heads of state, ministers, and military chiefs from across the Arab and Muslim world — is a clear message: the region views Israel’s actions not as isolated counterterrorism strikes but as “aggression against the Arab nation.”
The agenda is sweeping: Israel’s strikes on Doha, its ongoing Gaza campaign, expanding West Bank settlements, and what Arab leaders call the “forcible displacement” of Palestinians. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi declared Egypt’s “complete solidarity with Qatar” and pledged readiness to provide all forms of support — including military.
Birth of an Arab NATO?
In perhaps the most consequential move yet, Egypt is spearheading a proposal for a NATO-style Joint Arab Force to defend any Arab nation under attack. Modeled on the Western alliance, it would feature a unified command structure, rotating leadership, and combined land, air, naval, and special forces.
Sisi’s blunt warning: “An attack on one Arab country is an attack on all.”
This vision, long dormant, is suddenly alive — fueled by the perception that Israel’s actions in Qatar have crossed a red line. With Egypt ready to deploy 20,000 troops and Gulf monarchies providing billions in financing, the stage is set for an Arab military bloc that could directly confront Israel.
Prophetic Storm Clouds: Psalm 83 in Motion
For students of Bible prophecy, these developments are no surprise. Psalm 83 outlines a confederation of nations surrounding Israel — a coalition that seeks to “cut them off from being a nation.” The names listed in that ancient psalm align eerily with the players now gathering in Doha: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Gaza, Saudi Arabia, and others under the OIC umbrella.
The Abraham Accords, once thought to stabilize the region, may have instead prepared the ground for the very alliances Scripture foretold. Instead of restraining Arab-Islamic hostility, the accords may now fuel a collective backlash — the spark that ignites a prophetic firestorm.
From Psalm 83 to Gog and Magog
Analysts warn that if a Joint Arab Force is ratified, Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Islamist groups will attack Israel with impunity, knowing a united Arab military shield stands behind them. This is exactly what Hamas hoped for when it lit the fuse on October 7, 2023.
And this may only be the beginning. The Arab confederation envisioned in Psalm 83 could soon give way to the greater northern alliance of Ezekiel 38–39 — the Gog/Magog war involving Russia, Turkey, Iran, and their allies. What is unfolding in Doha may be the immediate precursor to that larger prophetic clash.
The Globalist Angle
Global elites at the UN and EU are already exploiting this crisis, fast-tracking calls for recognition of a Palestinian state and pressuring the Trump administration to rein in Israel. In reality, this plays directly into the globalist agenda of dividing God’s land — a move that Scripture warns will bring divine judgment (Joel 3:2).
A House of Cards in a Sandstorm
The Abraham Accords now teeter on collapse. What was once celebrated as a triumph of diplomacy is unraveling into what prophecy foretold all along: Jerusalem as a burdensome stone and a cup of trembling for all nations (Zechariah 12:2–3).
The world sees “peace agreements” and “alliances.” The Word of God sees the gathering storm of the last days.
