President Donald Trump has thrown his full weight behind artificial intelligence, unveiling a sweeping national AI action plan to ensure U.S. dominance over China. But the move has exposed a growing rift within the MAGA movement — where many see AI not as the future, but as a dangerous tool of Big Tech, globalist elites, and even the transhumanist agenda warned about in Scripture.

Trump’s All-In Strategy on AI
In late July, Trump released a 28-page plan to supercharge AI development, pledging to build massive power infrastructure to fuel data centers and accelerate innovation. The White House insists this is about keeping America ahead of China and lowering costs for workers and families. “By fully harnessing the power of AI, we will unleash this productivity for the full benefit of workers,” said spokeswoman Liz Huston.

But the base is not buying it.

Populist Backlash Erupts
Almost immediately after Trump’s announcement, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) blasted the plan on X, warning AI could wipe out millions of jobs and devastate the environment. Steve Bannon compared the push to “summoning the demon.” At the National Conservatism Conference in September, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) warned AI is ushering in a transhumanist revolution — “Americanism and the transhumanist revolution cannot coexist,” he thundered, drawing applause.

Other conservative lawmakers, including Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) and Eli Crane (R-Ariz.), have warned AI lacks both a soul and empathy, making it a poor substitute for humanity.

The Fault Line: America First vs. Silicon Valley
The fight reveals a dangerous contradiction inside the GOP coalition. Trump has allied himself with Silicon Valley CEOs to fast-track AI, but many grassroots conservatives mistrust Big Tech after years of censorship, surveillance, and globalist collusion. “The base’s concerns about Big Tech are colliding with Silicon Valley’s influence in this administration,” said Mark Beall of the AI Policy Network.

Copyright law has become a major flashpoint. Trump suggested loosening restrictions so AI companies can freely train on copyrighted works. Bannon and Hawley slammed that as outright “theft,” warning it could become the “largest intellectual property theft in American history.” Hawley has introduced legislation to stop it, while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) is pushing the opposite — regulatory “sandbox” waivers for AI companies to experiment freely.

Prophetic Concerns About Transhumanism
Beyond economics, many conservatives see AI as a spiritual threat. GOP strategist Brendan Steinhauser warns AI is already moving toward lifelike recreations of the dead and AI “companions” that mimic relationships. Beall, in a widely read essay, called the push for artificial general intelligence “an attempt to build self-creating gods.”

These warnings echo what the Bible prophesies about mankind’s prideful rebellion in the last days. As Genesis 11 tells us about Babel, when humanity sought to reach heaven by its own power, God intervened. Today, elites are attempting to rewrite humanity itself — blending man and machine in defiance of God’s order. Revelation 13 describes a coming system where technology enables global control. AI is laying that foundation.

What Comes Next
So far, Trump has ignored the populist concerns, favoring acceleration and partnerships with industry. But the MAGA base may not stay quiet. If AI begins to gut jobs, invade privacy, and erode morality, the political backlash could be massive.

For now, the question lingers: will the America First movement unite around restraining AI’s godlike ambitions — or will Silicon Valley buy enough influence to silence the opposition?

The stakes could not be higher. As Sen. Hawley warned, this is not just a fight about jobs or laws — it is about whether the transhumanist revolution will define America’s future, or whether we will stand firm in God’s created order.
