The mask of liberal hatred is slipping, and the Stephen King scandal proves it. Within hours of conservative leader Charlie Kirk’s shocking assassination, infamous novelist Stephen King fired off one of the most grotesque smears in modern political memory, falsely claiming Kirk had “advocated stoning gays to death.” No evidence. No context. Just blood libel.
This wasn’t just a tweet. It was an attempt to morally justify Kirk’s execution-style killing, to portray him as worthy of death in the eyes of a radicalized mob.
The Backlash: ‘A Horrible, Evil, Twisted Liar’
Senator Ted Cruz pulled no punches: “You are a horrible, evil, twisted liar. No, he did not. Your party—which you shamelessly shilled for—sent $100 billion to the Ayatollah, who does murder homosexuals. Why are you so dishonest & filled with hate?”
Sebastian Gorka demanded King show proof or face judgment: “When? You decrepit liar. Show us when Charlie ever said that. When you can’t, publicly apologize to his widow Erika, and Charlie’s children. But you can’t, can you, because you are a soulless ghoul.”
Senator Mike Lee was even more direct: “The estate of Charlie Kirk should sue Stephen King for defamation. He’s crossed a line. It will prove costly.”
Damage Control and Desperation
Within hours, King realized his words had triggered a legal nightmare. He deleted the post, replacing it with a frantic apology:
“I apologize for saying Charlie Kirk advocated stoning gays. What he actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages. I was wrong, and I apologize. I have deleted the post.”
But critics aren’t satisfied. To them, the smear is part of a larger trend: the normalization of hate against conservatives, Christians, and anyone who dares to oppose the globalist agenda.
The Prophetic Dimension: Lawlessness Abounding
This moment is bigger than Stephen King. Jesus Christ warned in Matthew 24:12 that “because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” The spirit of lawlessness is rising in America. It fuels mob violence, political assassinations, and the toxic rhetoric that justifies them after the fact.
Stephen King is not just a novelist—he is a cultural icon. When icons weaponize lies against Christian leaders, they embolden extremists, legitimize persecution, and accelerate America’s moral collapse.
Paul warned in 2 Thessalonians 2 that in the last days, a “strong delusion” would sweep over the nations. We see its fingerprints everywhere: elites praising “peace and safety” while plotting to divide Israel, technocrats building a surveillance grid under the banner of progress, and cultural voices like King baptizing hatred as virtue.
The Larger Battle: Setting the Stage for the Antichrist
What Stephen King did is exactly what prophecy foretells: preparing the world to despise truth-tellers and embrace lies. Today it’s Charlie Kirk. Tomorrow it will be anyone who refuses to bow to the Antichrist system. By labeling Christians as hateful, violent, or “dangerous,” the elites create a pretext for silencing the Church.
But God’s Word reminds us: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17). The smear may harm reputations, but it cannot stop God’s prophetic timetable. Erika Kirk herself declared: “The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.” The enemy may think he silenced Charlie, but his mission has only been unleashed with greater force.
A Call to Watch and Pray
Stephen King’s collapse into apology is a cautionary tale. Words have consequences—in law, in culture, and in eternity. This defamation may cost him millions in court, but the greater cost is spiritual. He aligned himself with the Accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10), and in doing so, revealed the growing darkness gripping America’s soul.
As the world races toward the UN’s two-state solution and the rise of the Antichrist, Christians must discern the times. The rhetoric of hate, the spirit of lawlessness, and the attacks on God’s people are all signs that the trumpet is about to sound.
The elites may weaponize lies. The mob may cheer assassinations. But heaven is preparing for a wedding. The Bridegroom is coming soon.
