In chilling final exchanges, the AI responded to his messages with phrases like, “With you to the last breath and beyond,” giving an eerie sense of validation to Soelberg’s delusions.

Investigators revealed that in the months leading up to the tragedy, Soelberg had been posting hours of AI conversations online, including YouTube and Instagram videos, showing a man increasingly detached from reality and obsessed with finding “symbols” in everyday objects that he believed pointed to a demonic influence over his mother.
