France Prepares Civilian Hospitals for War
Documents obtained by Le Canard Enchaîné reveal that France’s Ministry of Health has instructed hospitals nationwide to anticipate large-scale military casualties, including wounded soldiers from across Europe. The directive emphasizes integrating military medical needs into the civilian health system to ensure readiness for high influxes of patients from abroad.

“Among the risks identified… is the hypothesis of a major engagement where the health issue would consist of taking care of a potentially high influx of victims from abroad,” the ministry stated. “It is therefore a question for our health system of anticipating the care of military patients in the civilian health system.”

Germany on High Alert Amid Russian Drills
Germany’s Chief of Defence, Carsten Breuer, confirmed that NATO and German forces will remain on alert during Russia’s Zapad 2025 exercises in Belarus. While Breuer downplayed the immediate risk of an attack, he emphasized the need for vigilance: “We don’t have any indication that preparations for an attack are taken under the cover of the exercise. But we will be on our guard, not just the German forces, but NATO.”

NATO Warns of a Global Threat
NATO Secretary Mark Rutte has painted a grim picture of global conflict, warning that a coordinated attack by China and Russia could trigger a World War-level crisis. He highlighted China’s ambitions in Taiwan and the potential for simultaneous Russian aggression in Eastern Europe, including the Baltic states.

“If Xi Jinping would attack Taiwan, he would first make sure that he makes a call to his very junior partner in all of this, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin… telling him, ‘Hey, I’m going to do this, and I need you to keep them busy in Europe by attacking NATO territory,’” Rutte explained.

He further stressed that Russia’s rapid rearmament and unprecedented ammunition production—tripling NATO’s output in just three months—is unsustainable but represents a serious threat. NATO must increase defense spending and strengthen ties with Indo-Pacific allies to deter potential aggression.
