In a stunning televised interview, Mexican Senator Lilly Téllez (PAN) openly accused President Claudia Sheinbaum of being in bed with the cartels, declaring that her leftist Morena Party is bankrolled by narco-money and controlled by criminal kingpins. The explosive charge pulls back the curtain on what many have suspected for years: Mexico’s highest office is compromised, its institutions infiltrated, and its sovereignty auctioned off to organized crime.
A Narco-State in the Making
Appearing on Fox & Friends Weekend with Rachel Campos-Duffy, Téllez said cartels are not merely bribing politicians—they are choosing them, funding them, and dictating their policies. “The party has been financed—the cartels have given so much money to these politicians, narco-politicians of Morena, to get into office, to get power. The Mexican government protects the cartels,” she warned.
This isn’t mere corruption at the fringes. According to Téllez, cartel money has wormed its way to the Senate, the governorships, and the presidency itself. With fentanyl deaths surging in America and waves of migrants pouring across the border, the crisis is no longer just Mexico’s problem—it is an international emergency.
Sheinbaum’s Defense Rings Hollow
Sheinbaum’s response has been predictable: point to the arrests of 26 cartel operatives and boast of “sharing intelligence” with the United States. But Téllez dismissed this as smoke and mirrors, accusing the President of playing a double game—appeasing Washington with token gestures while protecting cartel interests behind the scenes.
Rachel Campos-Duffy summed it up bluntly: “She speaks out of both sides of her mouth: ‘We’re working with you, Trump,’ and then she chastises you for saying we need more help from the United States to crush the cartels.”
The Venezuela-Cuba Model
Téllez issued a chilling warning: Mexico is on the verge of following Venezuela and Cuba into full-blown socialist collapse. “She is aligned with Venezuela’s dictator and with Cuba, and we are losing our country. They have destroyed our republican institutions—the democratic state.”
The parallels are undeniable. Just as Venezuela fell to narco-socialism under Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro, Mexico under Sheinbaum is sliding into a cartel-run narco-state propped up by socialist ideology and international alliances hostile to the United States.
A Cry for American Help
Despite the risks, Téllez openly called for U.S. intervention. She praised President Trump’s willingness to confront the cartels head-on, in contrast to Sheinbaum’s appeasement. “What we have heard is that President Trump wants to help the Mexican people against the cartels. Mexican people are suffering. What they do is very, very little.”
Her plea reflects a growing sentiment among ordinary Mexicans who are tired of living under the shadow of organized crime and socialist betrayal. The cartels are not just a Mexican threat—they are a global one, tied into international drug routes, migrant trafficking, and destabilization strategies favored by globalist elites.
A Target on Her Back
By going public, Téllez admits she has put her life in danger. “The President has threatened me with criminal prosecution to get me out of the Senate and put me in jail, just because I told you here, on Fox News, the reality of our country with the cartels.”
Her courage underscores the stakes. In Mexico, speaking the truth about cartel corruption is often a death sentence. Journalists, whistleblowers, and politicians who expose the narco-state routinely vanish, silenced by “accidents” or assassins’ bullets.
