The Redistricting Showdown
The new maps are poised to eliminate five Democrat-held seats, securing a stronger Republican majority in Texas’s delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives. Democrats attempted to derail the process for weeks, repeatedly fleeing the Capitol to deny quorum and stall GOP momentum. But their efforts ultimately collapsed.
