Tech billionaire Peter Thiel has a new obsession—and it’s not crypto, AI, or politics. It’s the Antichrist. In a recent New York Times interview with columnist Ross Douthat, the Palantir co-founder once again mused about biblical prophecy, apocalypse, and Armageddon. But while Thiel pontificates on how to identify the Antichrist, the Times missed the obvious question: by his own definition, could it be him?
Thiel’s Armageddon Obsession
Thiel insists that the Antichrist would rise to power by talking about Armageddon “nonstop.” That would be ironic, because Thiel himself cannot stop invoking apocalyptic themes. And here lies the contradiction: the man who says the Antichrist will use “fear of apocalypse” to gain power runs Palantir, a surveillance empire intertwined with U.S. intelligence, law enforcement, and the military—tools that would fit perfectly into an Antichrist system of control.
The Questions NYT Refused to Ask
Instead of holding Thiel accountable, the New York Times handed him a platform to recycle lines he’s repeated for years. No questions about Palantir’s Orwellian surveillance grid. No questions about Thiel’s funding of Curtis Yarvin, the extremist who wants to dismantle American democracy. No questions about his financing of J.D. Vance, now sitting in the White House.
The missed opportunity is staggering. Thiel funds candidates, movements, and technologies that align eerily with the prophesied Beast system of Revelation 13: one world government, surveillance over every transaction, and authoritarian rule disguised as “peace.” Yet Douthat let him walk away unchallenged.
Here are the questions the Times should have asked:
- By your own definition—obsession with Armageddon and global control—aren’t you a prime Antichrist candidate?
- How do you reconcile your talk of apocalypse with Palantir’s role in building the surveillance state?
- You’ve funded Curtis Yarvin and “post-democracy” ideas for decades. Is your real endgame the replacement of America’s constitutional republic with corporate-governed city-states?
- You promote eternal life through technology and transhumanism. Is this a Silicon Valley counterfeit of resurrection?
- You framed Trump’s return as an “apocalypse.” Are you using prophecy to brand political change as destiny?
The Prophetic Counterfeit
Thiel’s worldview mirrors what Scripture warns. The Apostle John described the Antichrist as a deceiver who offers counterfeit salvation while consolidating power (1 John 2:18, Revelation 13). Thiel, like other globalist elites, fuses technology, politics, and esoteric religion into a techno-religion where AI and surveillance promise eternal life apart from Christ.
This is not a sideshow—it is a serious spiritual counterfeit being marketed by some of the world’s most powerful billionaires. And when mainstream outlets like the Times refuse to challenge it, they help launder radical ideas into the public square.
What This Really Means
Is Peter Thiel the Antichrist? Time will tell. But one thing is certain: Thiel is helping build the infrastructure of the Beast system—a surveillance-driven, post-democratic, transhumanist future where the few control the many.
