Italian police have arrested a retired Ukrainian military officer tied directly to the covert mission that blew up the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines in September 2022—a sabotage act that reshaped Europe’s energy market and deepened the continent’s reliance on Washington and Brussels.

The suspect, identified as Serhii K., was detained near San Clemente, Italy, under a German-issued international warrant. According to German investigators, Serhii led a six-man team—two soldiers and four civilian divers—who planted explosives on the twin pipelines in an operation codenamed “Operation Diameter.” The sabotage was allegedly organized by a special Ukrainian military unit, overseen at the time by Commander-in-Chief Gen. Valeriy Zaluzhniy.

The irony? President Volodymyr Zelensky reportedly ordered the mission aborted after U.S. objections, yet the team proceeded regardless. The result was the largest recorded release of natural gas in history, equivalent to Denmark’s annual CO₂ emissions, and the largest modern wartime infrastructure strike in Europe.

Trump Called It Months Ago
Back in May, our White House correspondent asked President Donald Trump if he would open a formal investigation into who destroyed Nord Stream. His response was blunt:

“Well, probably if I asked certain people, they would be able to tell you without having to waste a lot of money on an investigation. But I think a lot of people know who blew it up. I was the one who blew it up originally because I wouldn’t let it be built, and then when Biden got in he allowed it to be built.”

Trump’s remark highlighted what many suspected—Washington insiders already knew the truth. And now, the Wall Street Journal confirms what Seymour Hersh first exposed in early 2023: the mainstream narrative was always a smokescreen.

Operation Diameter: The Mechanics of Sabotage
The German investigation paints a startling picture of amateur espionage with world-altering consequences.

Using scuba equipment, the divers planted high-grade explosives on the Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea.
The strike severed Russia’s economic artery to Europe, rerouting the continent’s energy market away from cheap Russian gas toward expensive U.S. LNG and unreliable “green” alternatives pushed by the EU and WEF.

German prosecutors had previously issued an arrest warrant for another diver living in Poland, but Warsaw authorities conveniently failed to act.

The Globalist Agenda Behind the Blast
The mainstream press framed the Nord Stream disaster as a mysterious act of “unknown saboteurs” to avoid admitting what it really was: a NATO-backed proxy strike that benefited the Western ruling class.

The destruction of Nord Stream achieved three goals at once:

Force Europe deeper into dependency on Washington – binding the EU to American LNG shipments.

Even Zelensky’s hesitation was irrelevant. Once the pipelines were gone, the geopolitical chessboard was permanently rearranged. Europe became a captive energy client, and the globalists got their manufactured crisis.
