Ukraine has once again bitten the hands that feed it. For the third time in just days, the Kiev regime struck the Druzhba oil pipeline, the crucial artery carrying Russian crude into Hungary and Slovakia. This time, the blow has rattled not just Budapest and Bratislava but also Washington—where President Donald J. Trump himself issued a rare handwritten response to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

“Viktor, I do not like hearing this – I am very angry about it. Tell Slovakia. You are my great friend,” Trump wrote in his personal note to the Hungarian leader, signaling his outrage at Ukraine’s reckless provocation.

Hungary’s Patience Runs Out
The pipeline, whose very name “Druzhba” means friendship, has long supplied landlocked Hungary and Slovakia with the oil they need to survive. Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó minced no words: “The strike against our energy security is outrageous and unacceptable.”

He laid out the stark facts:

Russia has reliably supplied Hungary with oil for decades through Druzhba.
Ukraine’s repeated attacks cut off that vital supply.
Hungary, ironically, exports electricity to Ukraine to cover its own shortages.

“So, Ukraine cripples the energy security of a country that actually keeps their lights on,” Szijjártó blasted.

Orbán to Trump: Enough Is Enough
Prime Minister Orbán himself raised the alarm after the third strike:

“Five days ago, just before the historic meeting between President Trump and Putin in Alaska, Ukraine carried out drone strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia. This pipeline supplies Hungary and Slovakia, two countries that have no other means of importing crude oil. Hungary supports Ukraine with electricity and petrol; in return they bomb pipeline that supply us. Very unfriendly move! We wish President Trump every success in his pursuit for peace!”

Orbán’s words were both a protest and a plea—asking Trump, not NATO or the EU, to intervene on behalf of common sense.

Trump: ‘I Am Very Angry About It’
Trump’s handwritten note in reply underscores the seriousness with which he views Kiev’s sabotage. It is unclear what immediate action he can take, but one thing is certain: Ukraine’s behavior is not going unnoticed in Washington.

By putting pen to paper, Trump signaled that the United States is watching—and that under his leadership, Ukraine’s ungrateful provocations will not be ignored.
