President Trump broke his silence Friday after FBI agents raided the Maryland home and Washington, D.C. office of his former National Security Adviser John Bolton. The raids, carried out at dawn under the direct supervision of FBI Director Kash Patel, mark a dramatic turn in the long-running classified documents probe that the Biden administration once buried.
When pressed by reporters about the raid, Trump made it clear he had no advance knowledge. “No, I don’t know about it, I just saw it on television,” the President said. But he wasted no time in taking a verbal hammer to his former adviser, calling Bolton “a real sort of low-life.”
Trump: Bolton Was a Liability—And a Useful One

In classic Trump fashion, the President offered a backhanded compliment: Bolton’s reputation as a reckless warmonger actually strengthened America’s negotiating position. But Trump did not stop there. “He’s not a smart guy, could be a very unpatriotic guy, but we’re going to find out.”
Kash Patel Sends a Message
The raids were launched as Patel himself took to X, writing: “NO ONE is above the law.” The post is being interpreted as a clear message that under Trump’s DOJ, elite insiders will be held accountable—whether they are Democrats, bureaucrats, or even former Trump officials who went rogue.
Bolton’s critics have long accused him of mishandling classified material, particularly in his 2020 book The Room Where It Happened. At the time, Trump officials attempted to block its release, arguing that it contained national security secrets. Under Biden, the probe was mothballed. Now, it is back with a vengeance.
Bolton and the Deep State Playbook
Bolton has long been a poster child for Washington’s permanent war machine—the same globalist playbook that enriched defense contractors, drained America’s treasure, and left behind endless wars overseas. His ouster in 2018 was a pivotal moment, signaling Trump’s rejection of that foreign policy model.
Now the tables have turned. The man who schemed with the mainstream media to undermine Trump is himself facing the wrath of federal investigators.
Prophecy and Accountability
There is also a prophetic undertone to these developments. Scripture warns in Obadiah 1:15: “As you have done, it shall be done to you; your deeds shall return on your own head.” Bolton, who spent decades agitating for wars that toppled nations and destabilized regions, now finds his own house invaded by armed federal agents.
For years, the globalist foreign policy class operated with impunity—trading in secrets, bending rules, and profiting from chaos. Trump’s words, paired with Patel’s bold declaration, suggest that era may be ending.
What Comes Next
Trump confirmed he expects a briefing on the raid from Pam Bondi and his inner circle but reiterated his hands-off approach: “I tell Pam and I tell the group I don’t want to know about it. You have to do what you have to do.”
In other words, the President is giving his Justice Department free rein to pursue the truth wherever it leads. For Bolton, the man once known as “the moustache of war,” the reckoning may have only just begun.
