French President Emmanuel Macron announced this week that he has spoken with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, declaring their shared opposition to Israel’s planned military offensive in Gaza. According to Macron, such an operation “can only lead to disaster for both peoples and risks plunging the entire region into a cycle of permanent war.”

The Agenda: Ceasefire, Humanitarian Aid, and Disarmament
In his statement, Macron laid out what he called the “only” credible path forward:
→ The establishment of a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
→ The release of all hostages.
→ Large-scale humanitarian aid to Gaza.
→ The disarmament of Hamas and strengthening of the Palestinian Authority.

But the linchpin of Macron’s proposal goes beyond temporary measures. He is calling for the deployment of an “international stabilization mission” in Gaza—effectively international boots on the ground to control and oversee the territory.

A Two-State Push
To advance this vision, Macron announced that France will co-chair, alongside Saudi Arabia, a “Conference on the Two-State Solution” this September in New York. The conference is intended to rally international support for the division of Israel’s land, a move that many see as not only geopolitically destabilizing but prophetically significant. The emphasis is clear: disarm Hamas, empower the Palestinian Authority, and push the creation of a Palestinian state with global oversight.

Prophetic Implications
The Bible warns that in the last days, world powers will gather to divide God’s land (Joel 3:2, Zechariah 12:3). Macron’s rhetoric is strikingly aligned with this globalist script: international intervention, a permanent international presence in Gaza, and the forced imposition of a two-state solution. These are not isolated diplomatic maneuvers—they are part of a coordinated push to internationalize the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and weaken Israel’s sovereignty over its God-given land.

The Bigger Picture
Macron’s call echoes July’s “New York Declaration” by the Arab League, EU, and 17 countries condemning Hamas while simultaneously urging a Palestinian state. The common thread is unmistakable: global leaders want to remove Israel’s ability to act independently in defense of its security, while simultaneously propping up an international framework to dictate outcomes in the region.

No to War—or No to Sovereignty?
Macron closed with the words: “No to war. Yes to peace and security for all.” Yet, when examined closely, his “peace” plan involves stripping Israel of sovereign decision-making, putting foreign forces on the ground in Gaza, and accelerating the prophetic path toward the division of Jerusalem. For Bible-believing Christians, this is not peace—it is a warning sign of the times.
