BILL GATES ADMITS GEN Z JOBS WON’T SURVIVE AI TAKEOVER

The Blogging Hounds

They promised artificial intelligence would help us — make life easier, open doors, and “empower” the next generation. But now Bill Gates — the billionaire cofounder of Microsoft and one of the key architects of our digital future — has admitted something that should send a chill down every young job seeker’s spine.

Even if Gen Z learns to master AI, it might not save them.

In a recent interview, Gates called AI “fun and empowering” and urged graduates to embrace it early. But then came the part no one is quoting in the headlines: “That doesn’t guarantee we’re not going to have a lot of dislocation.”

That word — dislocation — is a soft way of saying “the jobs are gone and they’re not coming back.”

It’s already happening. Since January 2023, entry-level job postings have plummeted by 35% in the United States. And the roles disappearing fastest are exactly the ones AI can automate overnight.

At giant investment firms like Carlyle, junior employees used to dig up articles and request documents manually. Now AI does the work in seconds — and those beginner positions are evaporating. Smaller companies are following suit. One CEO admitted he didn’t bother hiring an intern this year. Why? ChatGPT is doing the work instead.

For Gen Z, the job hunt is turning into a soul-crushing experience before it even starts. Social media is full of young people posting rejection email after rejection email. Nearly half of Gen Z job hunters say AI has made their college degrees worth less. The unemployment rate for recent grads has climbed over 6% — far higher than the national average — and the gap is growing.

Some are refusing to play the corporate game entirely. They’re moving into skilled trades like plumbing, electrical work, and construction — industries where AI can’t climb a ladder or install an elevator. Others are seeking human-centered jobs in healthcare, education, and social work.

And here’s the part no one in the mainstream will say: Entry-level jobs aren’t just “first steps” — they are the foundation of independence. Without them, you create an entire generation trapped in debt, without a way up the economic ladder. That’s how you make people dependent on the very system that replaced them.

If AI systems — tied to centralized data and digital identity — end up controlling who can work, earn, and spend, then we’re not talking about a simple “tech disruption.” We’re talking about a structure that looks eerily similar to the control grid described in Revelation 13: a system where no one can buy or sell without permission.

Bill Gates calls it dislocation. The truth is, it may be something far more deliberate.
