Fort Stewart, GA — August 6, 2025.
In what is being described as one of the most chilling breaches of military security in recent memory, five U.S. soldiers were shot this morning during an active shooter situation at Fort Stewart, home of the 3rd Infantry Division.
A suspect — whose name remains withheld — has been apprehended, and law enforcement claims there is “no ongoing threat.” But for many, the damage is already done — and the questions are just beginning.
A Military Base Turned War Zone
At 11:04 a.m., Fort Stewart was placed under full lockdown following reports of gunfire in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area. According to the Army’s emergency alert, soldiers were ordered to:
“Lockdown your facility immediately, stay inside, close and lock all windows and doors. Keep telephone lines open.”
Within minutes, five servicemembers were wounded. All were transported to Winn Army Community Hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.
The gunman was captured by 11:35 a.m., but the 2nd ABCT area remains under lockdown. All gates into the base were sealed, and nearby schools, including Button Gwinnett Elementary, were placed on soft lockdowns as a precaution.
White House Briefed, Georgia Reacts
President Donald Trump has been briefed on the attack, and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp issued a statement urging prayers:
“Marty, the girls, and I are saddened by today’s tragedy at Ft. Stewart… We are keeping the victims, their families, and all those who answer the call to serve in our hearts.”
Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are “monitoring closely,” while Rep. Buddy Carter, whose district includes Fort Stewart, is “in direct communication” with the base.
Who Is the Shooter? Why Was It Allowed to Happen?
Officials have yet to release the shooter’s identity, background, or motive — a pattern that has become disturbingly familiar in high-profile attacks on military and government installations.
Theories are already circulating:
- Was this an insider threat or a breakdown in mental health screening?
- Could it have been a targeted ideological attack?
- Is this part of a larger pattern of instability within the U.S. Armed Forces?
“There is no justification for how a base like Fort Stewart — one of America’s most strategic combat posts — failed to stop a shooter before five soldiers were injured,” said a retired U.S. Army colonel speaking under anonymity.
The shooting comes at a time when the U.S. military faces unprecedented morale crises, recruitment shortages, and internal divisions over political and cultural issues infecting its ranks.
Prophetic Implications: A House Divided Cannot Stand
This is not just a story of one disturbed individual. It is a mirror reflecting a nation unraveling from within.
“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” — Mark 3:24
The military — once seen as a bastion of order, unity, and patriotism — is now suffering from the same spiritual rot and moral confusion infecting the rest of America.
- Drag shows on bases.
- Mandatory DEI seminars.
- Leaders punished for defending Christian values.
- And now… gunfire in the barracks.
When the enemy is inside the gates — spiritually and physically — judgment is not far behind.
This Is a Wake-Up Call — Will Anyone Listen?
Fort Stewart is not just a casualty scene — it is a warning. If the nation’s military is vulnerable to internal attacks, what hope is left for America’s borders, its communities, and its future?
The Biden-era Pentagon built this mess. President Trump has inherited it. Now the nation waits — and prays — for answers, justice, and healing.
But healing cannot come without repentance.
