Ex-Russian President Warns of ‘New Reality’ as Kremlin Ditches Nuclear Treaty

In a chilling escalation of global tensions, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has warned the West to “expect further steps” after the Kremlin formally abandoned the last self-imposed limits on short- and medium-range nuclear weapons.

With Russia’s official withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), a Cold War-era nuclear pact, a new and more dangerous chapter in East-West relations has begun—one that may soon bring nuclear warheads back to European soil for the first time in decades.

“This is a new reality all our opponents will have to reckon with,” Medvedev declared Monday, following the Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement that it would no longer observe the INF’s restrictions.

Coming just days after President Donald Trump redeployed two nuclear submarines to “appropriate regions” as a warning shot to Moscow, the move underscores the spiraling danger of global war erupting from Eastern Europe’s grinding battlefield.

The INF Treaty: Dead and Buried

Signed in 1987 by President Reagan and Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, the INF Treaty banned ground-launched nuclear missiles with ranges of 500 to 5,500 kilometers. It eliminated an entire class of battlefield nukes that had once made Europe a Cold War flashpoint.

But the treaty was effectively gutted in 2019 when the Trump administration—citing years of Russian violations—withdrew. Since then, both sides have resumed development of banned missile systems. Now, with this week’s announcement, Russia has formally declared that it will no longer show any restraint.

“Russia no longer considers itself bound by the corresponding previously adopted self-restrictions,” the Foreign Ministry said. “We are responding to U.S. deployments in Europe and Asia.”

Translation? Short-range nuclear weapons may soon be aimed directly at European capitals, and possibly U.S. allies in the Indo-Pacific.

Trump vs. Medvedev: The Nuclear Ultimatum

This geopolitical provocation comes amid a fiery personal standoff between Donald Trump and Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council.

  • Last week, Trump reduced his 50-day ceasefire ultimatum to Moscow down to 10-12 days.
  • In response, Medvedev accused Trump of “pushing us toward war.”
  • Trump retaliated by ordering the deployment of two nuclear submarines—a move not taken lightly by the Kremlin.

“Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step toward war,” Medvedev warned.

“We will no longer play by your rules,” he added—echoing the prophetic tone of Ezekiel’s Gog and Magog alliance.

The Prophetic Undertones: Are We Watching the Road to Gog and Magog?

Russia’s increasing isolation, its alliance with Iran and China, and its threats toward both Israel and the West echo the Bible’s prophecy in Ezekiel 38, where a coalition led by “Gog of the land of Magog” invades Israel from the north.

In this framework, Russia’s withdrawal from the INF Treaty isn’t just geopolitical—it’s prophetic.

“Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.”
Ezekiel 38:7

Russia’s role as a “guard” for Iran and Syria is now on full display in the Middle East. And as it positions nuclear weapons once more across its western border, the world inches closer to a climactic confrontation foretold millennia ago.

Zelensky Thanks Trump, Globalists Panic

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised Trump for putting real pressure on the Kremlin—a stark contrast to the Obama-Biden era of appeasement and secret pallets of cash to Iran.

“All sanctions that restrict Russia help bring peace,” Zelensky said Monday.

But behind the scenes, globalists and war profiteers are growing uneasy. The military-industrial elite, who benefit from long wars but fear actual escalations into nuclear scenarios, are scrambling to contain the fallout from Trump’s aggressive posture.

Still, it’s Trump—not NATO—who has once again shown the will to face down the new Axis of Evil: Russia, China, and Iran.

Conclusion: A Dangerous Pivot Point in History

Russia’s withdrawal from the INF Treaty and Medvedev’s cryptic threats signal more than the collapse of arms control. They mark a decisive pivot into a multipolar world order, where AI warfare, cyber weapons, and battlefield nukes are the new normal.

The West must now confront:

  • A Russia emboldened by alliances with China and Iran
  • A U.S. capital riddled with domestic instability
  • A UN and WEF quietly cheering for the collapse of the old order

And through it all, Bible prophecy is being fulfilled before our eyes.
