President Donald Trump is once again shaking the foundations of globalist institutions by refusing to funnel American taxpayer dollars into programs that undermine U.S. interests or promote authoritarian ideologies. From the United Nations to USAID, programs long held sacred by the international elite are now being defunded or overhauled under Trump’s second term. And the backlash from the establishment is as loud as it is revealing.
Trump’s America-First Foreign Aid Doctrine
At the core of Trump’s foreign policy is a straightforward question: Why should American citizens be forced to bankroll programs in countries that either oppose U.S. values or offer no strategic return on investment?
Under this doctrine, Trump slashed funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) after its connections to Hamas were exposed. He similarly reined in funding for USAID, especially those programs that pushed progressive ideologies in foreign nations while fomenting anti-American sentiment.
As Trump has stated repeatedly, “We will not pay for our own destruction.”
The UN: A Broken Machine Serving Dictators
Trump’s disdain for the United Nations isn’t rooted in ideology—it’s based on observable results. The UN Security Council has repeatedly failed to fulfill its central mission: preventing conflict. From Gaza to Ukraine, Myanmar to Sudan, the Council is paralyzed by the veto power of nations like Russia and China—two of the most brazen violators of international law and human rights.
Should war erupt over Taiwan or in the South China Sea, the Security Council would again be powerless, likely blocked by China’s veto. In effect, the global body created to “prevent the next world war” is incapable of stopping the flashpoints most likely to ignite one.
This strategic paralysis is not accidental—it reflects the Council’s deeper rot: a moral inversion where authoritarian regimes run the show.
The Farce of the Human Rights Council
The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) may be the most grotesque example of this inversion. Over the years, it has admitted and even elevated countries like:
- China, which runs forced labor and re-education camps for Uyghur Muslims, cracks down on Christian worship, and erased Hong Kong’s freedom.
- Iran, where peaceful protest can earn a death sentence and online dissent is punished by public execution.
- Saudi Arabia, whose border guards massacred Ethiopian migrants and where dissidents are executed for tweets.
- Cuba, Venezuela, and Pakistan, serial violators of human rights who routinely shield allies from criticism.
In 2020, China was appointed to the Council’s Consultative Group, the five-member body that helps select top human rights experts—including the so-called “expert on women’s rights.” The absurdity of that appointment speaks volumes. So too does Iran’s chairing of a forum on tech and human rights… days after it executed two men for social media posts criticizing religion.
Globalist Hypocrisy on Full Display
Far from protecting human rights, the Council often shields abusers while relentlessly targeting Israel and the U.S.—the very countries it should be partnering with to uphold freedom.
In 2019, 22 democracies including the U.K., France, and Japan condemned China’s Uyghur camps. In response, 37 countries—including North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, and Myanmar—defended Beijing.
Who does the Council really represent?
As Human Rights Watch’s Louis Charbonneau bluntly put it:
“Serial rights abusers should not be rewarded with seats on the Human Rights Council. China and Saudi Arabia have not only committed massive rights violations at home, but they have tried to undermine the international human rights system they’re demanding to be a part of.”
This is the organization many Democrats and neocons want the U.S. to keep funding.
USAID: Exporting the Woke Agenda
Trump has also targeted USAID, the U.S. Agency for International Development, for review and reform. While ostensibly designed to help developing nations, USAID has become a vehicle for exporting radical gender ideology, climate extremism, and anti-Christian values—often against the will of the local population.
In effect, Americans are paying to destabilize traditional cultures in the name of “progress,” while funding foreign media and activist groups that insult and oppose the United States.
This is not “aid.” It’s ideological imperialism.
Why It Matters Now
President Trump has faced stiff resistance from career diplomats, media allies of the UN, and globalist think tanks—but the American people are catching on. The push to defund failed globalist institutions is not “isolationism,” as critics claim. It is strategic realism grounded in national sovereignty, constitutional principles, and biblical values.
By removing support from institutions that prop up dictatorships, promote Marxist ideology, and persecute Christians, Trump is not retreating from the world—he’s reasserting moral leadership in it.
Prophetic Implications
The Book of Revelation warns of a coming global system—economic, political, and religious—that will deceive the nations and persecute the saints (Rev. 13). These globalist institutions, with their anti-Christian alliances and technocratic ambitions, may well be the scaffolding for such a system.
The UN’s increasing alignment with authoritarian regimes, the push for digital ID and ESG scoring through agencies like USAID, and the silencing of dissent under the banner of “human rights” all point to the rise of a counterfeit morality. A beast system.
Trump’s resistance to these structures may be one of the last roadblocks before the world accelerates toward a one-world governance model foretold by Scripture.
