Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is once again asserting leverage over the legal system—this time by demanding full immunity, pre-submitted questions, and a non-prison location before she agrees to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Her team also wants any deposition delayed until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on her appeal.

But Oversight Committee insiders say these demands are falling on deaf ears.

Legal Shield or Stalling Tactic?

Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, acknowledged Maxwell is considering pleading the Fifth Amendment to avoid self-incrimination, but later suggested she might cooperate under very specific conditions.

“Our initial reaction was that Ms. Maxwell would invoke her Fifth Amendment rights and decline to testify at this time,” Markus wrote to Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY).

However, he added:

“After further reflection, we would like to find a way to cooperate with Congress if a fair and safe path forward can be established.”

Among the preconditions:

  • Full immunity from prosecution based on her Congressional testimony
  • The deposition to be held outside FCI Tallahassee prison
  • Questions provided in advance
  • Any testimony to be delayed until after the Supreme Court rules on her appeal

In other words, Maxwell wants to testify on her terms—or not at all.

Immunity Already Played with DOJ

Maxwell recently met twice with DOJ Deputy Todd Blanche, offering information on over 100 individuals allegedly involved in the Epstein trafficking network. Those sessions, insiders claim, resulted in “limited immunity”—a tightly scoped deal to allow her to speak to the DOJ without self-incrimination.

But what Maxwell now wants is a blanket immunity deal from Congress, which would effectively shield her from any future criminal consequences stemming from new revelations.

The Oversight Committee appears unwilling to grant such terms, especially given that Maxwell’s previous cooperation with DOJ has yet to bear any public fruit.

Supreme Court Appeal in Play

Maxwell’s maneuvering is also tied to her ongoing appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Her legal team argues that testifying under oath now would “prejudice her legal claims” and possibly “taint a future jury pool.”

This Supreme Court appeal—viewed by many legal experts as a long shot—is being used as yet another delay tactic.

“Maxwell is buying time,” said former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy. “She wants to run out the clock and avoid accountability for as long as possible.”

Congressional Patience Wearing Thin
The House Oversight Committee is reportedly not entertaining Maxwell’s demands, according to senior aides who spoke to The Blogging Hounds under condition of anonymity.

“We’re not letting a convicted child trafficker dictate the terms of her appearance,” one Oversight staffer said. “She’s got explosive information, and we intend to get it—with or without her cooperation.”

Congress retains the power to hold Maxwell in contempt if she defies a lawful subpoena, though such a move would likely ignite a legal battle with implications for Executive Branch cooperation and judicial oversight.

The Blackmail Web Still Protected?

As previously reported, Maxwell’s DOJ interviews allegedly implicated high-ranking officials, intelligence operatives, foreign royalty, media executives, and global financiers.

Her testimony could expose the full scope of the Epstein trafficking and blackmail network, which operated as a global intelligence compromise operation protected by Western institutions for decades.

“This is not about justice for victims,” said one source familiar with the investigation. “It’s about keeping the lid on a Pandora’s box that could shatter the credibility of the Western elite.”

A Biblical Moment of Reckoning

In light of these developments, observers are reminded of Luke 12:2:

“There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.”

Maxwell’s fight to silence herself before Congress reveals not only her fear of exposure, but the lengths to which corrupt systems go to protect their own. Her case is no longer just about one woman—it’s about an elite machine that trafficked children, compromised governments, and wielded blackmail as currency.

The Clock is Ticking

The Oversight Committee must now decide: compel Maxwell to testify and risk constitutional challenges—or let her stall indefinitely while the DOJ keeps the public in the dark.

Either way, the stakes are immense. The American public—and the world—deserve to know who was involved, who covered it up, and why justice has taken so long.
