Ozzy Osbourne, legendary frontman of Black Sabbath and beloved solo artist, has died at the age of 76. His family released a heartfelt statement Tuesday evening confirming his passing, saying he was “surrounded by love” in his final moments.
This tragic news comes only weeks after Osbourne’s final stage appearance with his Black Sabbath bandmates at Villa Park in Birmingham—the very city where his groundbreaking career first began.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. — Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”
