Former President Barack Obama is facing sharp backlash after posting a Fourth of July message that critics say was tone-deaf, divisive, and overtly hostile to American values. Instead of celebrating the nation’s independence, Obama used the holiday to highlight what he called America’s “unfinished work” and “legacy of injustice” — triggering outrage across social media and among veterans, conservatives, and constitutionalists alike.

Critics argue that instead of uplifting the country on its birthday, Obama chose to lecture the public and subtly shame the American experiment — turning what should have been a unifying holiday into a partisan message of guilt and grievance.
“Imagine using July 4th to tear down the very country that gave you the highest office in the land,” one veteran responded. “It’s disgraceful.”

By painting America as fundamentally flawed, such rhetoric primes the public to surrender national pride and embrace supranational solutions — a move many believe is designed to dissolve borders, dilute constitutional rights, and prepare for digital global control systems.
