An organizer for the U.S. trucker protest against COVID-19 restrictions, dubbed “The People’s Convoy,” outlined during a Monday appearance on Newsmax a series of dates the more than 1,000 demonstrators will appear in major cities in route to the District of Columbia.

A list provided to “Eric Bolling The Balance” by convoy organizer Maureen Steele showed the dates the truckers are expected to reach several of the cities with speakers, fundraisers, and religious groups participating in the initial Feb. 23 send-off.

The convoy will begin gathering at the Adelanto Stadium in California on February 23, followed by Kingman, Arizona, on Feb. 24; Lupton, Arizona, on Feb. 25; Glenrio, Texas, on Feb. 26; Elk City, Oklahoma, on Feb. 27; Vinita, Oklahoma, on Feb. 28; Sullivan, Missouri, on March 1; Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 3; Cambridge, Ohio, on March 4; Hagerstown, Maryland, on March 5; with the final destination of the District of Columbia kept private for security reasons.

“This is truly ‘The People’s Convoy.’ This is not a political movement at all. This is about freedom,” Steele said.

“Every American, no matter what party you align with, we can all unite under the banner of freedom. Liberty crackles through all of our brains, and … we can’t argue about politics if we don’t even have our freedom anymore. We can argue about politics later. It’s time to make sure that we maintain our freedom as a nation,” she added.

Steele also confirmed that a private security group will watch over the convoy.

“We have a private security group,” Steele responded when asked by host Eric Bolling. “A pretty large force of security, as well as bomb-sniffing dogs. that will be marshaling with us … making sure … nothing unsavory or unsafe is happening.”
