On Monday, as America celebrates Flag Day and former President Donald Trump celebrates his 75th birthday, conservative actor and Filmmaker Kevin Sorbo tweeted “Happy birthday to the best President of modern times.”
Over the weekend, Sorbo also used Twitter to defend the American flag from liberals and media who have recently said they’re offended by the sight of Old Glory.
“New York Times Relocates Offices To Beijing So Reporters Won’t Have To See So Many ‘Disturbing’ American Flags,” Sorbo tweeted on Friday, quoting a headline on The Babylon Bee satire website.

“If people flying an American flag in America triggers you, you’re in the wrong country,” Sorbo wrote in a follow-up post on Saturday.(Screenshot)
Flag Day, which has been celebrated since 1877, recognizes the anniversary of the Flag Resolution of 1777, Military.com explains:
“The Stars and Stripes originated as a result of a resolution adopted by the Marine Committee of the Second Continental Congress at Philadelphia on June 14, 1777. The resolution read: “Resolved, that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation.”
“In 1916, the anniversary of the Flag Resolution of 1777 became a nationally observed event by a proclamation by President Woodrow Wilson. However, it was not designated as National Flag Day until August 3rd, 1949, when an Act of Congress designated June 14th of each year as National Flag Day.”
Last week, liberals expressed offensive over the sight of the American flag in support of New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay’s comment that she was “really disturbed” by the sight of “dozens of American flags.” (Click to Source)
