President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. has big plans for disarming Americans. But there’s seems to be a bit of doubt as to how — or rather — who he’ll get to carry out those plans.
As we have said before, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris represent a clear and present danger to liberty, freedom, the Constitution, and the values that have made America the greatest country in the world. Given the results of the Georgia runoff election, anti-rights politicians and bureaucrats are set to control the Congress, the White House, and the administrative state, including the rogue Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
Biden and Harris have made it clear that their dangerous agenda includes incredibly expansive and unconstitutional gun control policies, and that they expect Congress to pass many new laws restricting rights, conduct, and property. Indeed, since the 117th Congress was sworn in, many statist, anti-American gun control bills have already been introduced.
In the coming months and years, the attacks on our fundamental rights and liberty will likely be unprecedented, relentless, and lawless. From expanding categories of prohibited persons and “red flag” laws to “universal background checks,” bans on free speech and ‘3D’ printing technology, encryption bans, de-platforming, “Operation Choke Point” and banking restrictions, new prohibitions and restrictions on firearms, magazines, ammunition, and other constitutionally protected arms, expansion of the irrational National Firearms Act, laws to incarcerate thousands of more people every year, and, sadly, much, much more. It is not hyperbole to say that the Biden-Harris era may be the most challenging of our lifetimes.
So President Biden’s first ban would target…the National Guard? He doesn’t trust them?
Who else doesn’t he trust…the nation’s police who he expects to confiscate firearms on his behalf?
He apparently doesn’t even trust his own Secret Service security detail.
I was struck speechless when former Congressman Beto O’Rourke suggested during his presidential campaign that Americans would simply comply with his proposed laws to confiscate tens of millions of their firearms.
“If we’re able to pass mandatory buybacks and I’m able to sign that into law, then I fully expect our fellow Americans to turn in their AR-15s and AK-47s,” said O’Rourke.
This was not a misstatement or a one-off comment. As O’Rourke’s spokesman, Chris Evans, later confirmed: “When a mandatory buyback program for assault weapons is enacted, it is the law. We expect people to follow the law here in the United States, and we know that Americans are law-abiding people.”
I am not writing this to promote civil-disobedience, but just to point out fundamentals of human nature that ideologues like O’Rourke and Joe Biden don’t appear to appreciate. They seem to think the American people, or perhaps any group of people, will simply conform to whatever ideological framework they decide to legislate.
This isn’t true for many reasons.
First, non-compliance with gun-confiscation laws has been widespread even in countries that don’t protect the right of citizens to keep and bear arms.
Second, Americans are already notoriously non-compliant with strict gun-control measures in states that have enacted them on a smaller scale.
Third, the firearms and magazines that gun-control advocates wish to confiscate simply are not a driving force behind homicides—and America’s lawful gun owners know it. People rarely respond well to being scapegoated, and otherwise law-abiding gun owners aren’t likely to prove an exception to this rule.
Full-blown paranoia. It’s almost as if the near-octogenarian isn’t really all there, mentally speaking. No wonder he needs the nation rendered harmless. But who will be left that he can trust to carry out his policies?
Biden already stated that he will use executive action to “get weapons of war off our streets.” Calling an AR-style weapon a “weapon of war” is laughable given the fact that Biden, under President Obama, aided in the wholesale slaughter of countless innocent civilians in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and Somalia — using actual “weapons of war” like drone strikes, hellfire missiles, and sanctions.
Nevertheless, the new boss — plans to immediately ban the “manufacture and sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.”
Joe Biden will enact legislation to once again ban assault weapons. This time, the bans will be designed based on lessons learned from the 1994 bans. For example, the ban on assault weapons will be designed to prevent manufacturers from circumventing the law by making minor changes that don’t limit the weapon’s lethality. While working to pass this legislation, Biden will also use his executive authority to ban the importation of assault weapons.
Biden also plans to force all legal gun owners to register their firearms with the state, or be forced to turn them in, going so far as to issued an ultimatum.
This will give individuals who now possess assault weapons or high-capacity magazines two options: sell the weapons to the government, or register them under the National Firearms Act.
Biden also plans on instituting legislation that will limit how many guns you can purchase. On top of that, he plans on telling you how you can purchase them by banning the “sale of firearms, ammunition, kits, and gun parts online.”
Perhaps one of Biden’s most ominous moves in regard to controlling guns is his push for “smart gun technology” that will require biometrics to fire in an ostensible move to “prevent unauthorized use.” In reality, however, this paves the way for bad actors, including the state and hackers, to be able to control, hack, or essentially turn off your gun, making it a paperweight.
So, oil your guns and ready the ammo…they will come to get them, one bullet at a time! (Click to Source)
