The debate over whether homeschooling is or isn’t a beneficial method of schooling certainly rages on. I think most of us can agree that both sides of the debate certainly have merit. But one of the most important things we can all have, as parents, is parental choice. And the following news story is an example of where that choice “might” have been compromised. Like most polarizing stories, there are typically two sides to each story.
A mom in Buffalo, New York claims that her children were failing the public school system, according to wkbw.com. So the mom, Kiarre Harris, says she went through the process of filing for homeschooling permits (I assume you can call them permits). Essentially, you inform the district of your intent to homeschool your children.
