Russian ‘Hack’ Tale Totally Retracted As Washington Post Admits Reporting ‘Without Having All The Facts’ – This Is How The Obama Admin Deliberately Fed Americans ‘Fake News’

wapofakenews

The Obama administration has been using the mainstream media to push “fake news” at Americans about Russia, specifically Russian “hacking,” by tapping some “official” to speak to the Washington Post on the condition of anonymity, then Wapo rushes to publish without verifying any of the information, then they are busted publishing false news, so they change their story and headline, then they add an editor’s note basically retracting the whole story…. then finally they publish a new front page story which completely, 100%, contradicts almost everything written in their previous bombshell report that went viral.

That is not the interpretation of the Independent Media regarding the Wapo report, released the same day as the supposed “proof” of Russian hacking into the DNC and the Clinton campaign, in conjunction with Obama’s sanctions against Russia for said alleged hacking, that is what Washington Post just admitted in their follow-up to their “fake news” report.

HOW OBAMA PROPAGANDA & WASHINGTON POST  ‘FAKE NEWS’ STORY GOES VIRAL

Look at the following headlines, the first two on wAPO’S original report claiming that a “Russian hacking operation” had “penetrated the U.S. electricity grid.

First headline: “Russian hackers penetrated U.S. electricity grid through a utility in Vermont, officials say.”

Then the utility company itself stepped up and provided a statement that the single laptop where they found malicious code, was not connected to the utility systems, so Washington Post changed their headline to “Russian operation hacked a Vermont utility, showing risk to U.S. electrical grid security, officials say.

The original story caused a domino effect as others repeated it without verifying anything, with NPR headlining with “U.S. Officials Say Russia Hacked A Vermont Utility,” where they quoted an outraged Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin attacking Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating “Vermonters and all Americans should be both alarmed and outraged that one of the world’s leading thugs, Vladimir Putin, has been attempting to hack our electric grid, which we rely upon to support our quality-of-life, economy, health, and safety.”

Others also jumped on the bandwagon with Standard Times quoting other outraged politicians.

• Sen. Patrick Leahy: “State-sponsored Russian hacking is a serious threat, and the attempts to penetrate the electric grid through a Vermont utility are the latest example. … This is now about trying to access utilities to potentially manipulate the grid and shut it down in the middle of winter.”

• Rep. Peter Welch: “This attack shows how rampant Russian hacking is. It’s systemic, relentless, predatory.”

The Wapo piece went viral, everybody was talking about it, with Independent Media doing its best to quote the actual statement by the utility company showing the U.S. grid had not been hacked, but the MSM plowed through with article after article. Politicians were quoted ripping into Russia… and now, the new front page story at Washington Post, (I am linking to it because of the EPIC shredding of Wapo in the comment section by readers):

Wapo headline: “Russian government hackers do not appear to have targeted Vermont utility, say people close to investigation.” (Click to Article)
